• Lindsey (8/5): It was a great place to stay at for me running the marathon! Short walk to and from the park - I liked the kitchen so we were able to put our drinks and foods in the fridge instead of using our cooler. I liked the sink cuz my dog doesn't drink bottled water. The beds were pretty comfy, nice and cozy place to stay at for a couple days! My mom didnt care for how uncomfortable the couch/futon was, the chairs were ok but squeaky haha. There was no clock on the wall to know what time is was, the microwave clock was very dim didnt know there was a clock on it. And we like to have a little light to see where stuff is when we go to the bathroom at night, we had to use the shower light & fan for a night light on our 2nd night. Maybe put a little night light in the rooms, if the guests dont like them, they can unplug it. I also wish they give an option if you would like 2nd floor or 1st floor or let you know if you are 1st or 2nd floor cuz it was very hard and painful for me to go up and down the stairs after running the marathon.
• Eric (8/5): We came in Friday evening, and left early Saturday morning.... just there to sleep. - there was no breakfast.... but certainly would be a huge hit if you had coffee and something simple being most folks are headed into the boundary waters in the am.... location for me is awesome. I really think this hotel could continue to do exterior upkeep and keep it looking its best... things are slowly deteriorating each year... I have stayed here many years in a row... needs to be kept up with so it stays the GEM it started as.
