The shower had mould along the edges of the shower screen. Told the cleaning lady next morning. To be fair, she did her best but the room wasn’t aired enough.

- Emma (6/5): Poor organisation and breakfast service need to work on their customer service to create a pleasant atmosphere. - 3 singles bed in a room, receptionist were helpful. The servers from breakfast service. Didn’t feel welcome, no customer service with a smile and the girl looked miserable which wasn’t nice experience to be around especially when we need to ask for vegan options. At the breakfast bar, they didn’t have a lot of vegan options in because they ran out of oats milk despite knowing that they got vegans staying so I was not impressed by this service because this could have been avoided especially when they were aware of us staying so I do expect them to be fully stocked for vegan options and they weren’t. Very disappointed especially when we’re paying same prices as other customers and they had unlimited choices.

- Elaine (7/5): Nice enough especially if you are keen on golf - Nice, peaceful location surrounded by golf courses gardens and trees, no noise from traffic. Room was nicely decorated and the bed was large and confortable. Good choice of coffee bags in room and a complimentary bottle of water. Lovely view out over the golf course from the breakfast area. The pillows lacked support. The bathroom appeared to have no extractor fan or adequate ventilation. After three people had used the shower, the room remained extremely steamy and humid, even after we left it for over an hour. Service at the bar in the evening wasn't as good as we would have expected for such a venue- communication was sometimes handled by loudly shouting across the bar area instead of engaging with guests discretely and in a professional manner.
- M (6/5): On the whole very pleasant but could have been better with some small tweeks. - The venue was very pleasant . The cleanlyness and facilities of the room were very good. Breakfast was very good, . Dinner on our first night was excellent and muc enjoyed . I didn't like the beverage machine, a pot of tea would have been nice The tables in the restaurant and bar were very sticky. I believe this maybe to do with the cleaning fluid used, but someone needs to come up with something that gives a polish as well. On our second night we opted to eat in the bar as there was a golf gathering in the restaurant. I think we should have been offered a better option as we had to sit at a high table and the service was very bad. Also as the menu hadn'd altered choice was limited.

Good powerful shower and large smart TV. I had the best nights sleep away from home for ages. Being asked for my room number when ordering food and drink at the bar in front of others. Might have been better just to take my card to ensure better safety for females traveling alone.

Dinner in the Clubhouse was good too with a decent menu choice for GF food ( apart from desserts ) Room was comfortable with an excellent recently modernised shower-room The allocated room was quiet but only had a small window looking out on a brick wall 6ft away . Dessert options had very little gluten free Dinner stopped quite early at 8.15 The hotel lay-out was extended and my room was 60 yards from reception with an outside walk which could have been a problem in bad weather.

Modern, stylish and warm bathroom. Decent towels. Very clean except awful stain on the carpet. Good choice of seating in the bar and conservatory with gorgeous views. Having to pay extra £50 + room charge on arrival, and then pay for the room again on departure! Bedroom in March was cold when the noisy heater was off. Bed too hard for us. No showergel provided. Could hear the couple in the neighbouring bedroom, also people talking outside Reception intermittently throughout the night. Then vehicle, visitor and ground-staff noise from around 7:30am on Monday.

- Emma (8/5): Overnight stay - Stayed in the Countess room. Looks to have been recently renovated to a really nice standard. Modern bathroom and spotlessly clean. Easy drive to the city centre. Great price for the room for the night Reception staff really friendly. Breakfast a little disappointing. No fruit or yoghurt despite there being space and labels suggesting they should have been there so limited healthy choices. Coffee machine not working initially. Having said that, good price for the room so it wouldn't stop us utilising this hotel again in future when we need to stay in the area

- Suzanne (9/5): Fabulous two days!!! - Excellent location as we were in the area for a funeral. Room was lovely and, if the weather had been better, there was a nice balcony. Staff were very helpfu. Would have liked a non slip mat for shower!

- Maria (7/5): - The location was nicely situated. Breakfast was good and the staff were lovely. The bedroom was clean and comfortable. Tea, biscuits and water supplied was nice The dinner was not good quality. The burger seemed as though it had been frozen and it seemed like a pre frozen meal. There should have been some background music in the restaurant as it lacked atmosphere. There was no shower gel provided. The bedroom view faced a wall despite the hotel being rather empty. Velux windows let light in with no instructions on how to close the blinds

Receptionist was fabulous, very helpful, nothing too much trouble. Restaurant and bar food, good choice, well presented. Highly recommended. Nothing it was all good!
