- Kathleen (10/5): The staff and facilities combined made for a nice, relaxing stay. - Very central to food, shopping and sights. It’s definitely more expensive than comparable hotels in that area.
- Robert (9/5): We had a great stay. - The Room was nice and clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast wasn't good. The sausage tasted like it was left over and the bacon needed to have been cooked longer.

- Mary (9/5): - Convenience to our event We booked the room for our 20 year old daughter and her boyfriend for one night to attend interviews at ETSU. I called ahead to make sure everything was good and there was no issues with her checking in. Once there they wouldn't let her check in. Bc she wasn't 21...and said the girl I talked to had been fired. It was a big fiasco. But their website did not say anything about you having to be 21 to rent a room
- Karen (8/5): A pleasant stay. - Clean and convenient Beds a little hard and very high
- Tammie (10/5): -
- CHEREE (10/5): - Very clean, comfy bed and eveything within walking distance if needed
- Brandi (10/5): -
- mark (8/5): - Comfortable quiet room. Would be nice if electric outlets were upgraded to include USB ports.
- VICTOR (10/5): If I ever go back to Johnson City I will def stay there. - Loved the room, 2 TV's, pillows and bed were as good as any and better than most. Shower was great. Very impressed. I think that pool is a waste of space.

- Cherrie (10/5): - One of the nicest hotels we've stayed at! We had a king studio, so comfortable with couch, work desk, 2 tvs (one didn't work so Gabe brought a new tv & remote), comfy bed, beautiful, roomy bathroom (only complaint is needs a higher toilet, hard to get up).
Sarah, the manager (so nice, friendly) came up to figure out why fridge didn't work & plugged it in where it was supposed to go. When husband had medical issue, she recommended a great Urgent Care! Breakfast area was good; roomy, nice variety of food choices and coffee was good. Close to Food City, restaurants & fun downtown area!
Had a great stay here!
- Tony (10/5): - This property is the perfect example of how far customer service can take you - as the property is Good but the hospitality is GREAT.
Couple of quick points first:
1. Bed
These beds were fine, not luxury or anything but clean and comfy with a range of pillow options. We slept great.
2. Breakfast.
Several reviews said the breakfast was “just ok” but I thought it was good! The highlight was a luxurious oatmeal bar (fit with loads of fresh toppings) - the coffee was good too with plenty of name brand creamer and milk.
3. Pool
Small but clean and the heater was working fine we had a great time.
Ok the staff…!
From accommodating our unexpectedly early check-in to making sure we had more than everything we needed, the staff at Fairfield went above and beyond.
Sarah and the daytime staff were welcoming and made sure we had bottles of water that usually come with being a part of Marriott/BonVoy. She also made sure I had a razor since I forgot mine, but what most impressed me was how she took an interest in our son’s interests, checking on him throughout our stay. Really made him feel welcomed and special.
In the evening Gabe was on the spot with a couple needs we had and even went out of his way to make cookies when I asked about the cookie policy. Unreal.
The only drawback is the STRONG fabuloso smell during daily mop time in the lobby. However, based on the exceptional service there’s no question where we’re staying next time we’re in town.
- Rana Lynn (10/5): My stay was truly outstanding! - The Fairfield Inn offers an excellent overall experience. The welcoming and helpful reception staff, along with the well-maintained facility, make it a great choice. The breakfast buffet is also a highlight. I highly recommend staying at this hotel and will definitely be returning.
- F7495UFpamelam (10/5): Best hotel in Johnson City! - Clean and spacious rooms, hot breakfast and comfortable lobby area and the absolute best staff. We secured a group rate for a local convention and are well pleased. The team members went above and beyond to accommodate our group. The GM was fantastic and treated our group like special guests.
Highly recommend if your travels bring you to Johnson City.
- Brenda (10/5): It was great.i would book again - Location. Clean $
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paje (8/5): - I didn't have a top sheet on my bed and was too tired to deal with it at midnight. Nor did I have hand soap at the sink.
- Edmund (10/5): Exceptional - Hotel location was excellent as it was close to restaurants, stores and highways. Breakfast was ok. No issues to report.
- Sue (10/5): We couldn't think of a thing we would change or improve. I think that says it all! -
- delorisr126 (10/5): Customer service - The hotel was so clean and comfortable, the young man at the desk gave me a corkscrew for my wine.
The service was excellent and the recommendation for Aubrey’s restaurant was so worth it, food was fantastic and filling, nice atmosphere and welcoming staff.
Allaster Love, the manager was at the restaurant and recognized us, and to our surprise he paid for our meals, thanks Allaster, you are an awesome welcoming manager. We come from Canada and everything here is great, the welcoming folks, the food, everything. We went on a 3 week road trip and stayed at this hotel on the way down as well.
All the best to Allister and all the staff from myself and hubby Ernie
- Nick (8/5): Very good -
- Janelle (10/5): - Clean, quiet. Super comfortable beds. Nice exercise room. Ample breakfast including eggs and waffles. Highly recommend. Several restaurants within a block yet very quiet area.
- Sydney (9/5): Superb -
- Carol (10/5): - It’s not a lot luxury hotel by any means, but for what it is, it’s excellent. Our room was very clean and well maintained, as was the facility itself. The breakfast was good. I will usually have oatmeal and it was good oatmeal. For people who like waffles, eggs, meat, etc., they had that. The television had some streaming services. The pool was nice. My husband had to wait at the front desk for staff to come back because they had ran out of towels at the pool.
- Robert (9/5): Superb -
- Amanda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Judith (10/5): My stay was wondering! - The staff was helpful. Everything was great.
- Cerrick (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tami (10/5): - My priority with any hotel is cleanliness. Every area of this location was clean. All the staff was very friendly. It's centrally located with plenty of restaurants very close by. I would recommend this location to anyone. I will definitely stay here again.

- bud (6/5): - Found men's underwear in our room next to bed from previous guest. Room not throughly cleaned or dusted.
- Darlene (9/5): Excellent - The location and the nearby retail and restaurants. N/A
- Verified traveler (10/5): Wonderful Fairfield Stay - Excellent stay. The staff was amazingly courteous and accomodating. The facility was clean and inviting and the breakfast was delicious.
- Stephan (10/5): - Breakfast
- Jessica (10/5): Easy to find and quite place to rest our heads. - Property was clean and quiet. No issues Stay was a bit pricy, but we attributed it to the fact that ETSU had gradations going on.
- Renee (10/5): The staff was friendly and helpful. -
- Jeff (10/5): - First time to stay here. Very nice property close to shopping and dining. Easy access in and out of the parking area.
- Russell (6/5): - No tissues in the room. Fridge was either busted or not plugged in and the cord is hidden. Room is nice enough.
- Robert (10/5): - Nice people, clean room, good breakfast. Nice place
- Christen (10/5): - Great location, everything was so clean, and staff was wonderful.
- 680xanj (10/5): Comfortable - We recently had the pleasure of staying here, and I couldn't have been more impressed! From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and made sure I had everything I needed. The room was spacious and clean. We made sure to take advantage of the pool too. It was the perfect place to relax after a long day of hiking. With the chilly weather outside, the warm water was such a delight! I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a comfortable stay.
- BarbieJo80 (10/5): Pamela saved the day! - I'm not writing this review to focus on the hotel itself, but to highlight the exceptional service provided by their front desk associate, Pamela. While there were a few issues with my room, such as overlooked cleaning, empty water bottles from the previous guest on the floor, and spotty WiFi, I didn’t feel the need to bring those up right away, as things like that can happen. However, when the door lock stopped working and I felt there was a security risk, I had to visit the front desk.
That’s when I met Pamela. She greeted me with a warm smile and provided some of the best customer service I’ve ever encountered.
As the Director of Sales and Marketing for a hotel management company, I can confidently say that great staff are hard to come by, but Pamela is truly a GEM. She was calm, understanding, and immediately addressed the issue with professionalism and care. Her kindness and efficiency turned what could have been a frustrating experience into a very positive one. Honestly, if it weren’t for Pamela, my review of the hotel wouldn't have been nearly as high.
- Patrick (9/5): Superb -
- maC197ST (2/5): Terrible and would give less stars if I could - Called in to make a reservation on a Friday and asked the lady at desk if the pool was heated - she said yes.
I said would you go check & out your hand in the water & make sure, (my boys won’t swim if it’s cold) and I told her I’d easily call a different place to stay., its no big deal.
We arrive later that night.. My boys get in pool, it’s so cold they can stay in.
I ask to speak to manager and he’s not in until Monday morning.
How is there not a manager on a property on a hotel for days I ask?
They said he has important matters to attend.
Isn’t is job am important matter??
I have to wait until then to speak to him they said.
The general manager Gabe calls Monday morning & tells me pool is heated.
I explain that I have a pool at home in my state and I heat it to the same, why does this feel ice cold ?
He insisted and was quite rude the rest of the way because I didn’t succumb to his lies.
Did not offer to do anything about us staying there for 3 nights (& 2 rooms) not being able to swim because we were lied to. I stayed because it had good reviews but clearly was misled and should have called home2sutes which I’m used to.
Ignorant & rude management & certainly mot timely!
If you stay here, definitely don’t come for the pool and hope you have no issues because nothing will be resolved for sure!
- Rachel (10/5): - Very happy with our stay. Will stay here again.
- Nicole (8/5): - Indoor pool clean rooms space
- Susan (10/5): Family trip to Johnson city - Not sure if this hotel is new but it has to be one of the top cleanest places I have ever stayed The bathroom was pristine and the place was very very comfortable Thank you for going above and beyond for your customers breakfast was top notch with many choices and staff was very kind and helpful
- LISA (10/5): - Very nice and helpful staff.
- Wesley (4/5): - No hot water
- Patty (10/5): Everything wonderful except the stink bug. - I liked the fact staff were so exceptionally nice and very helpful. They told us everything we needed to know about the facility. I didn't like the fact that there was a stink bug in the corner of the room. And we felt like we had to keep our eye on it all night, hoping it wouldn't come down.
- Emily (10/5): Will stay here again - Convenient location, comfortable decor, and it's very clean!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - excellent
- Jeffrey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robin (9/5): It was a great stay, I would definitely stay again. - Staff was very friendly.
Space was clean.
Loved the filtered water in gym. I wish there would've been fresh fruit at breakfast.
- Nuckia (4/5): - There was no hot water and a very bad sewage smell with gnats coming out of faucet.
- 251mechellec (2/5): Nasty place. We booked a handicap accessible room and the shower was nasty. Even after they “cleaned “, mold remained. - We booked an accessible room as we were in town for medical treatments. The room was not available at check in. Since we were 10 minutes early we waited. The bed was made. The shower had mold and was visibly dirty. We requested cleaning the next day, but still mold. Nasty place, do NOT recommend
- Dray (10/5): Exceptional - The lady that checked me in was nice and very accommodating.
- Crystal (8/5): Very good -
- Snyder (9/5): Superb -
- Rhonda (10/5): - Staff was awesome, beds were amazing, and the shower was magnificent. Loved everything about it. Also, very clean.
- Tammy (10/5): was charged 239 but quote was 209. -
- Dr_JZoidberg (10/5): Great Place - Had family stay here. Excellent location with attention to cleanliness. Free breakfast and pool were nice additions. Staff is very friendly. Definitely one of the nicest Fairfields we've stayed at. We would easily stay here again if back in the area.
- Michael (8/5): - New clean hotel, Breakfast was usual powdered eggs , bacon. Wish it had a variety of more breakfast choices.
- Burgess (8/5): Nice place. Clean, comfortable, predictable. - The rooms were very nice. Clean, spacious, comfortable. Very odd location. Kind of odd breakfast.
- Jason (9/5): Superb - Very clean/ updated
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- Glen (2/5): Booked this room for my sons birthday so we could swim and get up and go see the mountains in the morning! - The property was Clean, has a good location. Close to shopping. & HWY 26. There’s plenty of food & a Walmart close by.
The room was nice. Bathroom was clean witch was a plus. But those were the only good things. So i specifically booked this room because it had an indoor pool… & we are out of town for my son’s birthday weekend, (mind you i have been saving for over a year for this 2 day trip) I paid $186 to stay here at this location because it had an indoor pool! I booked my stay a little late in the day… (as i wasnt sure where we’d end up) I am from South Carolina so I drove 3 1/2 hours to get there to use the pool. We made it an hour before the pool closed. Just for my son to be scared to get in pool, & Not because he didn’t want to because there was no one enforcing the pool rules! There were multiple kids around the ages 8-12 in the pool multiple adults around AND HOTEL WORKERS in the pool room… it looked like a tsunami going on in there!
All of the kids that were in the pool had tube floats, and we’re jumping up and down up and down, making most of the water come out of the pool. The hole room was a wave pool, The sidewalk around the pool was a few inches deep in water! Do you wanna know what the hotel worker says to me “ the pool opens back up at 6 AM! “ instead of enforcing the rules of the pool area! It was literally too dangerous for me to get in the pool with my toddler! So therefore, I paid almost $200 for a room that I could not even enjoy the amenities to. LITERALLY MY CHILD WAS SCARED TO GET IN THE POOL! Like literally scared & hes not scared of much AT ALL!
& it literally BLEW MY HOLE MIND THAT THE WORKER HAD THE NERVE TO TELL ME THE POOL REOPENS AT 6AM instead of doing her job and making sure people follow the rules. I understand kids are kids! But there are rules for a reason! It just upsets me the one night we had to stay in a room we couldn’t even enjoy the pool which was the hole point I spent the money!
(Ya know, cause everyone wants to get up at 6am to take their toddler swimming!! We unfortunately had to leave early the next morning so COULDNT SWIM!
- Dennis (10/5): - Pam the Manager was very nice really enjoyed our stay will be back.
- Brian (9/5): Very good place to stay and relaxing. - Accessibility to shopping and dining.
- Renee (9/5): Superb -
- Darby (9/5): The hotel itself was very clean and comfortable. The staff added the shine and sparkle! - This Fairfield Suites had the best staff ever! They were all so nice and obviously care about their roles at work. Nothing
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptionally clean convenient property at a nice price point - Convenient location, great staff , clean rooms Breakfast could have been better. Sausage was dry and tough. There wasn’t a lot of variety.
- Timothy (10/5): - Great staff very clean and accommodating
