- Richard (8/5): Very nice accommodations. Great host. - The space is lovely. All the amenities you could want. Wifi is good, there is air conditioning and everything is clean. Super comfortable. Keep in mind, it's not an actual country club. More like a condo/co-op type thing. You'll have to deal with a security gate. There is a pool which is nice and not too far from the space. There's a commissary, but you probably shouldn't count on it for anything. It's overpriced, and while there are posted hours of operation, don't be shocked when they're not open, or just flat disinterested in helping you. Get what you need in town and cook in the kitchen (which has all you'll need). The space is a bit of a trip to the "hip strip". You can theoretically get a cab downtown for $100 JMD (return is $120 JMD), but all the cabbies will try to hustle you for $20 USD regardless of how far you are going. Haggle with them, you can probably get the trip for $5 - $10 USD. Speaking of the hip strip, *yawn*. Avoid it if you can, unless you like being harassed by vendors/pot dealers every 5 feet. Doctor's Cave is nice if you go straight there. Pepper's is walking distance from the space (and the food is good and reasonably priced). Sky Bar is also walking distance. The restaurant wasn't open, but the bar was and the drinks were reasonably priced and the view was gorgeous.
