Guest Reviews
- Kelly (10/5): - Very clean and lovely staff. Beautiful lake view.
- Fabiola (6/5): - It was very lonely, it felt unsafe
- Ashton (10/5): - Great place to visit
- JONATHAN (10/5): - Quick stay but a nice place. Close to Orange Walk.
- Janine (10/5): Amazing hotel! - The hotel was amazing! The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The food at the hotel restaurant was delicious. The views of the river from our balcony were spectacular. And, it just felt so peaceful sitting at the outdoor palapa-style restaurant/bar, enjoying the quiet air, listening to the birds, and having fun watching for our crocodile friend in the river, lol! We were in room 1A which was on the lower level, closest to the restaurant. It had a nice corner view of the river, just lovely. The bed was comfortable and we had hot water (as opposed to our neighbors who claimed they never got hot water in their shower, so I guess we lucked out!). We booked the Lamanai Mayan Ruin tour through the hotel. They picked us up at their dock right at the hotel which was super convenient in that we didn't have to get transportation to the pick-up spot. The Orange Walk town is about a 10 min drive from the hotel, but the staff was able to get us a taxi to the town so that was a fun day checking out the main town. The ONLY issue I had was the shower situation. It was a smallish corner-style shower with no door or curtain, so water would get all over the bathroom floor after we showered. It made a mess and we had to be careful not to slip on the wet floor after showering. Other than that, everything was great, and we would definitely come back to this hotel!
- Leandro (10/5): - Great
- Rosemarie (6/5): - Great staff. Some updates needed.
- KATHERINE (10/5): - I love this place by the river. We took a river trip with a guide, Almir and he was the bomb. Food was great.
- Melissa (8/5): - Staff was amazing and helpful. Mattresses were awful. (Literally felt springs with every movement, and I only weigh 135 pounds). The water was peaceful. Restaurant choices were limited but fine for a short stay.
- Kevin (8/5): - Good place to take the river boat tour to the maya ruins from.
- Gilmar (10/5): - Good place to sleep and have some time off
- Gary (10/5): Heaven in Paridise!!! - Absolutely wonderful place to stay! Great people, solitude right off the highway! Wonder manager!!!
- William (10/5): - This place is awesome. It's just a couple minutes outside of the town of Orange Walk and all of the rooms overhang a beautiful little lagoon. The staff is amazing, friendly and very attentive. The restaurant and bar are covered by a beautiful huge palapa. The restaurant has great food, breakfast lunch and dinner. They cook traditional Belizean food as well as other options like steak pasta and seafood. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The showers here are high pressure and hot water!!! Which is kind of unusual for Belize. I stayed here for 2 years in a row and I would go back.
- Samantha (10/5): - On arrival there was a friendly welcome from Nate and although we were early our room was ready.
The hotel has a bar and restaurant which operates separately from the hotel, it's called The Deck. It is open most of the day and looks out over the lake which is really pleasant and good for spotting various birds and small crocodiles. The restaurant is supposed to be closed on Tuesdays but luckily they were open when we were there. Best to check.
The hotel office can help with tours if needed. They arranged the Lamanai boat tour for us which we really enjoyed.
We were happy with our room which was huge, with a very big comfortable bed, and it had a balcony.
There was plenty of hanging space. The air-conditioning worked well. There was a hairdryer in the room and also a TV. We wanted to watch some TV, maybe see some local channels, as we relaxed in the room in the evening, but we could only get the apps to work, such as Netflix, intermittently.
The bathroom had some toiletries and plenty of towels and loo roll, however due to limescale around the taps and shower it meant that the water didn't flow very well. The shower was just a trickle really.
Orange Walk Town is around 8km away so you need your own car or a taxi to get in for dinner. We decided to stay in the hotel, and the dinners we had there had plenty of choice, and we really enjoyed everything we ate over the 4 evenings.
All staff were really friendly and helpful.

The restaurant is supposed to be closed on Tuesdays but luckily they were open when we were there. Best to check. The road is closeby so there is a little bit of traffic noise but it didn't bother us too much.

We decided to stay in the hotel, and the dinners we had there had plenty of choice, and we really enjoyed everything we ate over the 4 evenings. Breakfasts were also good. Note that the drip coffee which is available (self serve) at breakfast is charged extra to the breakfast which wasn't clear to us, so the bill added up over the 4 mornings. It was very nice coffee though. The waiting staff and all other staff in the hotel were all very nice.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it.
- Shanna (6/5): - Stay was okay. We didnt have hot water until the morning we left. The restaurant was pretty good but the cocktails were almost mocktails. Staff was very friendly, Nate especially.
- mayak845 (10/5): Lamanai Landings - family friendly and the tour with Tyron was great! - If you go, here's what you need to know: (1) MOST IMPORTANT thing to know is to book a riverboat tour to the Lamanai Ruins with Tyron. He's absolutely amazing and your full day tour experience will be unforgettable. It was our best tour in Belize by far; (2) the restaurant is great, especially the shrimp ceviche; and (3) the place is very family friendly and chill. It feels like an authentic Belizean experience. It's down to earth and there is wildlife galore, including a baby crocodile that lives in the water and we got to see!
- Marua (10/5): - Nice rooms immersed in a wonderful landscape. Clean and personable staff. Not really at a walkable distance from Orange Walk.
- Ariel (10/5): - This was my favorite part of our trip. There were so many birds and wildlife literally outside the front porch first thing in the mornings. Waking up at about 6:00am proved to be worth it , as the morning fog was mystical with all the jungle sounds. It was absolutely stunning. The food was UNBELIEVABLE, the staff was so kind and caring- the Lamanai boat tour is a once in a life time experience, us and other visitors were raving about it. The people we met were from all over the world, and everyone was having a blast. It’s a short $12.00US Dollar ride to Orange Walk to enjoy the town and the locals.
Beyond a good experience.
- AnneliN34 (6/5): Nice hotel but no descent food to have while staying. - This hotel could have been a marvellous place, but is isn’t. First the relative nice things, the rooms. The bedroom are spacious with comfortable bed’s and both fans and aircondition. A small but nice terrace to sit and watch over the small lagune. However, the bathroom is cramp and not very practical. Then to the not so nice part, the restaurant and the food. It’s just a catastrophe, no more to say. Most on the menu isn’t available and the few things left are more or less unbeatable. The staff do their best but maybe they should just make a new shorter menu and actually try to serve these dishes in a descent way? I hope they can recover cause this place have a good location and tourists are coming to the area to see the Lamanai archeological site, soo they should have a chance to do good business, but in their current state it’s not recommended to stay ( and eat) here.
- dianecF4171YR (6/5): An OK hotel - Check in was efficient and help was given with taking our bags to the room. The room would be described as basic and unfortunately not great attention to detail with cleaning, as there were dead flies on the windowsill in the bathroom. The room looks out over the river, but the furniture on the balcony was not comfortable or sufficient. Wifi was excellent and connected easily with a strong signal. There is adequate free parking, close to all rooms. On the first day breakfast took over an hour to arrive and they were made in a random order, so people arriving and ordering later, were sometimes served first, hence we ditched breakfast there for our remaining mornings. The hotel is on the main highway, therefore has easy access.
- Dana (10/5): - Lovely lodge right on the water. Great for bird watching.
- Kenneth (10/5): - The property was quiet, with a relaxed atmosphere. All the rooms are on the lake with the most beautiful views, especially in the mornings. The view is exceptional. The reflection of the sun and clouds reflect on the dark waters, which gives a magical feeling. Staff was very attentive. On Christmas eve, the staff asked us if we needed anything before they got off for the holidays. We are very pleased with our stay at Lamanai Landings.
- Benjamin (10/5): - Absolutely amazing views! Staff were phenomenal and extremely friendly! Food was great, very quiet and serene! The property sits right on a lake at the mouth of the river that runs right into the Mayan ruin of Lamanai one of the most beautiful ruins there is. It’s very quiet at night and very peaceful. It was my first time and first night in Belize and I was blown away! The property sits about 10 mins by taxi from the center of town. I took the bus directly out front to Belize City and it was very convenient to catch the local chicken bus. I would highly recommend this place to fellow travelers. Thanks again to the entire staff!
- Sean (8/5): - We enjoyed the friendly and helpful staff at Lamanai Landings Hotel & Resort! They recommended and arranged for us to travel by boat to the Mayan ruins located 25 miles away rather than us driving our rental car over dirt roads to get there. That tour was outstanding! The hotel is on a lake where we saw a manatee from our room’s balcony, which apparently is an unusual occurrence. The room was air conditioned and there was parking on site. There was also a restaurant, but there weren’t other food options within walking distance.
- Mary (8/5): - You over look the pond/river and dining environment was very nice. Service at the restaurant was a bit slow.
- Megan (8/5): Nice stay at Lamanai - This was a nice hotel. Not super fancy, but the room was clean, the beds were comfortable, the air conditioning worked really well, and the staff were very friendly.
I felt safe staying here, and the food at the restaurant was excellent!
- Christopher (10/5): - This hotel has seen better days though the staff went out of its way to make sure we were well taken care of. Great location and great restaurant on site too. We were able to arrange for the boat ride to Lamanai right from the hotel- a wet ride but memorable.
- Darren (10/5): - Really lovely staff both in the hotel and restaurant. Restaurant food is really good, Modern rooms and everything you need including hair dryer. The owners helped with tour bookings.
- KaneWays (10/5): - The staff really catered to me! The food was delicious but a bit salty. They took me everywhere I needed and checked on me constantly.
- Jennifer (8/5): - We had a nice stay at Lamanai Landings. The location was beautiful and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The accommodations are a bit dated (bathrooms could use some attention) but otherwise, it was a good experience.
- george (8/5): Nice spot for your jump off.... - The place was a bit set off from everything else. It has a beautiful view of the lake and a nice patio attached to the room. Unfortunately, they do not have two chairs to sit on the patio. We eat dinner at the restaurant and had a really really great meal! When we woke up in the morning, nobody was present in the restaurant. We looked around to see if there was a sign indicating when they would open up. There was not. At 730 we went into town for a nice breakfast. It was a comfortable spot to serve as a jump up for our tour. We just don't think we could spend more than a day there.
- Allen (10/5): - Thr lake was beautiful. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast of gresh fruit and coffee was delicious.
- Jill (10/5): - This is a hidden gem! Wonderful atmosphere right on the water. Clean and safe and relaxing. The best of Belize. You can take a boat to Lamanai Ruins for a unique and memorable experience. The staff are super friendly. The only drawback is you need to take a taxi (or bus) into the town a few miles away. But it is well worth it.Fabulous place- so much better than we expected!
- Colleen (10/5): - We arrived in a torrential down pour and when we finally braved the storm to check in the staff were so helpful...lent us an umbrella. When the palapa restaurant closed due to bad weather they prepared and delivered a complimentary dinner to our room. The staff literally went out of their way to be helpful, bring us extra towels, pick up and do our laundry. The room and view were outstanding. I would highly recommend this place.
- Shahida (10/5): - From the welcoming to the end it was amazing! Especially the dinner request with wine, flowers.
The room set up was amazing my partner and I loved it,
It was worth to finish celebrating my birthday on this private property. Definitely coming back soon again.
The restaurant staff was amazing make sure to be very attentive and caring.
See you all soon.
- Daniel (10/5): - Large comfortable room, friendly staff, food in restaurant was great. Would certainly stay again
- hansNetherlands (8/5): If you want to see Lamanai stay here - We just spend 2 nights here and had a wonderful time. With a special thanks to Diego and his wife Lydia. They took super care of us as we were the only guests being low season. The trip we did to Lamanai is also worth mentioning as it is a must when you are here! The ruins are amazing and with a guide like Isidor it really comes to life. The foold at Lamanai Landings is amazing as are the cocktails!!!! The only reason we did not award 5 starts is the fact that is right next to the road which can be a bit noisy at times......otherwise really highly recommended.....
- Verified traveler (2/5): Lowest ratings - Poor communication between Hotels.com and Lamanai. Rooms were not cleaned regularly. Office was rarely open. No restaurant service one morning because chef as drunk. I was highly disappointed in a resort that Hotels.com had rated highly.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Overall stay was nice - The front desk was ready for us when we arrived. Check-in was quick. It started raining so unfortunately they weren’t able to dry up the floor quickly as a person in our party did slip and fall. Beautiful views. Food service was extremely slow even though it wasn’t crowded but my food tasted good. A lot of the items on the menu was not available to eat.
- Pamela (6/5): - Hotel was clean, but the water in my room smelled rusty and the water pressure in the shower was not great. It was in a secluded area with nothing around. Try to get in touch with the manager because I had an emergency and couldn’t stay the full stay but wasn’t able to talk to manager before I left.
- Dickie (10/5): - Enjoyed staying, no hot water
- Shannon (10/5): - We had the most beautiful stay at Lamanai Landings - the staff was so friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean and comfortable! Waking up in the morning to the sun rising over the lagoon was breathtaking. The food was exceptionally good - with many traditional Belizean options. It was the perfect location to explore the area and we cannot wait to come back again!
- V1803RBbrucec (10/5): A hidden jewel - Do not judge this book by its cover. Looks a bit messy outside. Inside the room was immaculate. Right on the river. $85 US a night for 2 queens. The restaurant, The Deck, is beautiful and the food is great and moderately price. Breakfast was $7,50 US. Make sure to get Reyna as your server and tip her well. She works 18 hrs a day, 6 days a week and has a wonderful personality. And when my wife mention she wanted elite, Reyna tried to find it for her, could not, so had someone bring her what she needed and made it for my wife.
We will always at least stop and eat here if in the area.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The location is great, the rooms are big, but there are a few areas that really lack attention. It would really help elevate the property to invest in quality, clean, and stain-free sheets and bedding. Also, the lack of urgency, lack of proactive attention really makes every one of the restaurant staff look disinterested and lazy. They spend more time on their phones than checking on tables, they don't come ask if you want refills, they don't prepare the bill in advance so when you ask to pay you don't spend another 15 mins waiting for the check. They just don't understand how customer service works. I mean, they barely mumble back to you and hardly every speak back to you in a confident tone. All of this makes the restaurant fall flat and makes it feel being there's more of a bother than a joy.
- Terry (10/5): - Property is well looked after and is situated on the new river.
- Warren (10/5): Good location - The stay was ok the bed was poor but the room was clean and had a nice view. Deck Chairs would have been nice.
They arranged a river trio to Laminai for us that worked out perfect.
Dinner at the hotel was bad i would go into town and find a place
- Valerie (10/5): - Lovely location very near Orange Walk town. Brilliant for trip to Lamanai, Mayan site. Superb staff.
- Douglas (10/5): - Great setting and staff! Will be back!
- Jordan (10/5): - Such a great place to stay when visiting Lamanai and the north of Belize. We loved our room, with a view of the cenote. The restaurant on premises was a terrific touch. The food was super. Definitely recommend this hotel.
- Janet (10/5): - Owner and staff are the nicest people
- Steve (8/5): - Beautiful view from my room
- Claire (10/5): - Very clean and comfortable
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Amazing staff, amazing room, amazing facility, just amazing!!
- Ruben (4/5): - We ordered breakfast at the restaurant and it was amazing!!!
The room was very old, it was missing many things, the air-conditioning didnt work, there were no hand towels and we had to shower with cold water. I think with upgrading and improving it could be a great place but it was just so old and run down.
- Philip (6/5): - Liked parking. Didnt like that there was no hot water. Room was never cleaned during thetwo night stay
- Christian (8/5): - great Location
Big and Clean rooms
Nice balcony with a great View
Very good Tour-Operator (Eric)
Good Restaurant
- only cold water in the shower
- no room cleaning during our four night stay
- stuff in the Restaurant did not seem to be very motivated
- Kevin (10/5): - Very nice room. Beautiful view. Easy to get to town. Restaurant is very very good!
- 912dab (10/5): Great Hotel! A recommendation! - We (2P) stayed for 2 nights at Lamanai Landing and enjoyed our stay very much. The rooms are simply furnished, but have a large bed and before anything else a balcony with a great view on a lagune. This lagune is also the place, where the tour to the Maya site Lamanai starts (directly at the hotel). We booked the Lamanai tour from the hotel and were super happy (ca. 3 h of boat cruise through the Crooked Tree Sanctuary with animal spotting and 2.5h at the Maya site). Also we did the 2h birdwatching around the hotel, which was a cool experience for us as usually-non-birdwatchers. We can definitely recommend booking the tours offered by the hotel.
The meals in the hotel restaurant were tasty. Not the cheapest ones (to be honest, we did not compare within the area, so this is more like a feeling), but overall fine.
If you are looking for a hotel with good and uncomplicated service, a great atmospheric balcony and an excellent tour offering, this is the place to stay!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Just ok - This is a hotel that has seen better days. The room was nice, big, with a king bed and TV. It had a balcony facing the lagoon. There was a nesting night hawk in the tree in front of the balcony. The woman who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. She even reduced the price because she thought we'd been charged too much.
Unfortunately, the place is run down and not very clean. The sink faucets were dysfunctional: little things. If you are expecting luxury, this isn't it. It's too bad because, it has the makings of a great property.
There is a restaurant next door with outdoor seating a great staff and reasonably priced food.
This is a perfect place if you want to take the boat to the Lamanai ruins. The boat will pick you up at the hotel dock..
- Eric (10/5): - Lovely lady named Angel made the stay worth it her hospitality made me feel like I was at home she deserves a raise and yearly bonus
- Wesley (8/5): - Very clean and safe. No refrigerator in the room. The restaurant staff was not very attentive...not like service in the United States. Definitely take the trip to Lamanai!!
- 770sebrinad (10/5): The view is amazing, service is great - We stayed here for 2 nights. The rooms are were clean, the staff was very accommodating, and the views were spectacular. Normally I don’t just eat at the hotel restaurant, but the menu was expansive and the drinks (especially the Mojitos) were delicious. We wound up staying for several hours each night. They also arranged a tour for us to Lamanai that left from their dock. Tyrone was our guide; he made sure we had just as good of time on the river as we did in Lamanai, telling us about all of the flora, fauna, and history of the area. If you are thinking about a trip to Orange walk, this place has all that you need.
- jacobhQ1448PL (10/5): River Tour - We had a fantastic day traveling to the ruins and being on the river. Eric, our tour guide, was amazing. He was knowledgeable, patient, and entertaining. He made our day unforgettable. We would recommend this to everyone.
- Claudia (10/5): Loved the water view! - Very well kept, friendly staff, delicious food, & loved the water views!
- Sam (10/5): - The hotel is RIGHT on the lake/river. there are warning signs about the crocs! WOW.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very comfy and very delicious food. Great view of the lake both from the restaruant and from the room.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good service comfortable room with large deck. Great view overlooking lagoon. Deck furniture not great. Restaurant on site with limited menu.
- pineapplelover22 (10/5): Great stay - Beautiful hotel. Reana the bartender is the absolute best and makes the best rum punch. Very clean and quiet place on the river. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back. Everything from check in to check out was easy and we were happy with.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Exactly as expected - Exactly what we expected. Nice place and great atmosphere right on the river. They have a nice open air restaurant and it is just minutes away from orange walk.
- Greg (10/5): - seemed to be a quite night. Bartender was great to talk to and was very helpful. She even took us to view crocodiles!
- 113oweng (10/5): Perfect getaway spot! - I was a bit worried at first, given how far out in the country our taxi was going, but this place was completely pleasant. The rooms are clean and spacious and the beds are comfortable and big. I wouldn’t call this a fancy hotel, but it’s definitely quiet and relaxing place. The best part of this hotel is the staff. Zuby and Reina really stand out. Every morning we were greeted by Zuby who made us feel at home and welcome. Reina is a gem and made delicious drinks every night for us. Try her punch!
The restaurant food is good. The cooks do a good job. As others have said, it’s not fancy, but it’s adequate and well rounded menu. The coffee is delicious!
I can’t complain much about this place. Some of the prices were a bit on the high side in the restaurant, but that’s certainly typical of most hotel restaurants. I wished the rooms had some USB charging spots since I left some behind.
Overall, a great stay and we’d definitely come here again!
- Samaya426 (10/5): Beautiful - My family went here as a part of our Belize vacation and stayed at this hotel and visited the Mayan temples. After our long and fasanating tour with Amir and Hector we went inside to rest and took out the family to the restaurant. The service is absolutely amazing, the place is very clean with a nice view of the water and cool breeze. Our waiter named Reina is precious, she asked how our vacation was going with a big smile and made us laugh a lot. We ordered a few items off the menu. The food arrived quiet quickly and tasted delicious. Reina told us all about the culture, how people in Belize live, the school system, places to visit, and more for over an hour. She fulfilled all our needs. We will definitely be eating breakfast there tomorrow!
- Colette (8/5): Peaceful but need a car - A beautiful setting right by the water but if you're planning on going into town it is a good hr+ walk, if it has been raining forget it as there are no paths to follow just limestone and grass which are slippery and puddle when wet.
Also, very little vegan options and you will be charged for the meat option as they dont have a separate price and this is very expensive. Better to go into town if you can.
Lovely big room with a riverview and balcony, nice bathroom and hot water.
If you're coming by bus from Belize ask them to let you off by the hotel and you can slso pick one up outside......easy!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great location and well cared for updated rooms. Odd that rooms only provided one coffee cup and one water glass. Our AC was on the fritz but the staff did everything they could to accommodate us including offering to change rooms. Would recommend to anyone.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Reyna made our stay. She was a grest bartender and made us feel so welcome. She also got us drunk lol. The fryjacks, beans, and rice were the best in Belize and our roon overlooked the river. Had a great 2 nights. They picked us up right ar our dock for the half day river trip to Lamanai. Our guide, Tyrone, knew his stuff and was cool as well. The ruins were amazing.
- fffbish1 (10/5): Freaking Awesome - It wasn't as upscale as the other places we stayed, but it was one of our faves. Reyna makes your trip worthwhile! Great service and bartender. The breakfast was the best we had anywhere in Belize and we will be back. I hope they value Reyna as she is an awesome employee. The river trip to Lamanai was also totally worth it.
- Therealblinky (10/5): Wonderful food and atmosphere - I stayed here for 22 days and it was excellent. The rooms are very comfortable, and the food is amazing! The local dishes are some of the best food I have had in my life. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Will definately be back.
- coolcowboy2 (2/5): River Pollution ! - Hotel has a great position, & we took a trip to Lamanai, the river could be beautiful, but it is dying ! Sorry to say the hotel is suffering due to the ongoing New River pollution issue (search it on the internet). The river is green, smells of Sulphur & the fish are dying & being washed up on the shore & beneath the hotel. For the rest of Belize we were impressed with all the conservation efforts, but it seems the New River has suffered for years with no signficant action & now its passing the tipping point, its heartbreaking as the locals are trying to protest against those responsible. On our return we have joined 'The friends of the New River' to give our support.
- CODY (10/5): - Felt like staying with friends and family. Raymond, Rayna & the entire staff were amazing. This property is inland away from the hustle and bustle and so convenient. We did everything we wanted. Monday we journeyed were the Mayans were thousands of years ago and it was a 1 hour drive. That afternoon we made our own chocolate treats from plant to yum at Lamanai Chocolate. Tuesday Beach and fun in the sun. Wednesday cave tubing and swimming in the most refreshing rivers. The staff helped us plan it all so we were not bogged down by the cruise ship guest. I could type forever about how amazing this place as and how they made our trip, the trip of a life time. Don't get me started on how amazing orange walk the city a 15 min walk away was.
- kristenalexandra (8/5): Reina was the best! - Pros:
Reina! Reina was seemingly the sole bartender and server when we came back from our tour at 2pm. She was such a fun spirit and makes a killer mango margarita. She mentioned she had to come in early that day (probably because of the AM fiasco we caused), and she was there shutting it down at night after we returned from our dinner in Orange Walk. The next morning, she was the manager on site, the server, and bartender. Huge compliments to the kitchen staff, they cook some delicious meals! We absolutely loved the breakfast - everything was so great.
Cons:
These are all minor issues because everything worked out and it was such a short stay: There was a very strong (sulfuric or sewage?) smell when we arrived at 830am. The smell came and went during our just-over 24 hour stay. Also, the air conditioning unit's fan in our room was clicking and sounded like it will break soon. Lastly, we interacted with a handful of staff members. Roannie is someone I spoke with on the phone and via Facebook to book a 9am tour tour along with our accommodation. When we arrived at 830am, the only staff there were two men who didn't know we were coming, they had to make several phone calls to get someone over with our room key. The hours on the reception office door say they open at 7am but no one was there. When we returned from the tour later at 2pm, I'm not sure if Roannie is also the person who took my payment, but the woman who checked us in didn't seem to want to have anything to do with us. Not sure if she was just having a bad day but even during some evening drinks she wouldn't outright interact with us.
Overall, Reina definitely made our stay at Lamanai Landings worth it. We did enjoy the king bed and the waterfront view of the room, as well.
- Pat (8/5): - Beautiful setting. Room was very clean. Extra sink outside bathroom was convenient.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The staff, the waiters and waitresses, cleaning staff friendly and a job well done
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The location was incredible. We had a room overlooking the river with a huge tree in front. Great for bird watching and photography. I was out on the balcony until dark and again at 6:00 am.
We loved this place and would recommend it.
- Randy (10/5): Great stay in Lamanai Landing. - Fantastic location for trips to Maya ruins or multiple other destinations. Saw a croc from the balcony of our room.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lamanai landing is a beautiful place to take a vacation, very peaceful and safe place
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Right on a lagoon, birds galore, freash fish, rooms have a view of the lagoon plenty of fans if you don't want to use the AC
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We very much enjoyed our stay! The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We loved the property as well, such a beautiful spot!
- Michael (10/5): - Very relaxing and comfortable
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Rooms are very confortable. Lake beside the room provide peaceful.
- Eric (10/5): - We absolutely loved everything about this place! The room was perfect and had everything we need for a couple nights. Very spacious, clean, and the beds were comfy. The entire facility was amazing, and the restaurant was delicious! Everything was well-kept, and felt like a little oasis. Plus, the staff was super friendly and very accommodating. We also did the on-site tour to the Lamania ruins, which was absolutely PHENOMENAL! Honestly, the best part of our trip because we had a smaller group and a fantastic guide, who was beyond excited and knowledgeable about the landscape, wildlife, history, and facts; while still making a very comfortable and personal experience. 6 stars out of 5, we will be back if we find ourselves near Orange Walk again!
