- Janice (6/5): - The owner upgraded our room without being asked. The room itself was old and had lots of little things wrong with it but for an inexpensive stay it was fine. My biggest concern was the runners that they put down at the top of the stairs into the rooms were all curled up and a huge tripping hazard. Nothing a few staples or nails couldn’t rectify . The inside of the main door into the room was very dirty and just was questioning how clean everything else was.

The owners are very nice very helpful very kind also waking up in the morning to The view both in the front yard and the backyard of the room is beautiful! Definitely would not mind coming back. And even though it's near the freeway I couldn't hear anything. I slept great!

My only complaint was there was a lightbulb missing in the lamp and the phone did not work but neither impacted our pleasant stay. The clerk at the front desk was very pleasant and smiley! Nice to be on the ground floor for easy unloading of bags.

Bathroom did not have a fan. The plug beside the bed can only handle one device. Also, the stairwell smelled bad and the shower curtain needed a wash.

We stayed here for convenience & price for 2 nights, while 3 of us couples were riding our motorcycles through the okanagan. It’s dated but clean annd the AC worked well The lady at the front desk was exceptionally friendly & had no problem when we requested extra towels. Picnic tables were great for playing cards. Decent stay for the most affordable place in the region
- Chris (8/5): - Upon arrival we were greeted by Evelyn who was very warm in her greeting and offered us assistance to our room. Evelyn made sure we were welcomed and let us know that if there is anything we needed to just ask. Evelyn is a keeper for sure. Thanks Evelyn for your care and attention to us. The rooms are dated and was to be expected, that said they were so warm and comfortable. The AC worked great which gave us relief to the hot temps. The beds were comfortable and for me who doesn't sleep well the first night of travel I was able to sleep soundly. There is a plum tree that was full of plums and we were encouraged to help ourselves which we did. So if you get a chance grab some as they were delicious. You're not getting a five star place here but what it lacks in style is made up in comfort, affordability but most importantly you are treated with warmth and kindness. It felt like home. We will be back one day for sure. Great job Monashee
- Verified traveler (6/5): Run of the mill motel - Pretty run of the mill motel experience. One bed was decent, other was pretty brutal. Decently clean which was nice though I wouldn't want to walk barefoot much. Overall, nothing great and nothing terrible.

Cons: Generally constructed and renovated of such poor quality. Shower faucet connected backwards (took awhile to realize why no hot water). Floor squishes beneath vinyl (subfloor rotten?). Light switch for bathroom was behind microwave and a scavenger hunt. Rusty baseboard heater. Coffee machine… not a cup in sight for coffee.

- STANLEY (10/5): - Every detail was carefully and considerately thought out, from large, fluffy towels to nice linens and such. It was as though the owners had prepared a room for themselves. The bathroom and shower were excellent. The only drawback was the airconditioner's being over the entrance foyer, meaning it took considerable time for cool air to reach the main bedroom.

- Laurel (6/5): - This is an old motel. The facilities are a little run down but the room was clean and the air conditioning worked. Good location being on the highway .The family that run the place are very friendly and helpful. They really make the place. I didn’t like how Expedia charged an extra $20 for the 3rd person. When I put in the specs, which indicated it was for three, a price came up which I expected to be the total, however, they added $20 for the third person. This motel definitely was not worth $241.50 a night.

It advertised queen beds and they were only double, there were cigarette burns in the carpet, holes in the curtains and a big hole in the shower curtain. The faucet for the sink was lose and moved a lot I though it was going to come off in my hand. The tub was from 1960 something and the wallpaper was as peeling off the walls. I will say everything was clean and the sheets and towels smelt nice but for the price I would have rather sweltered in a tent. To start my day the guy charged me $30 instead of 20 for my 30 pound cavapoo because it was a “bigger dog”.

- Jeff (2/5): Unfortunate interaction - I booked the hotel by accident (not realizing I had past it 45 minutes earlier), call immediately to inform them that I was too far and now stuck behind a rather large accident and if they could cancel the booking. Booking made at 11:55 PM. The person that answered the phone said it would have to be dealt with in the morning. I asked Hotels.com to intervene and again the hotel rejected the cancellation. It is quite sad to see a lack of understanding. I guess I now understand why the rating for this hotel is the lowest I. The town.
- Janet (10/5): Retro-charm - Friendly, gracious, accommodating... those are the first three words that come to mind when I think about the staff at the Monashee Motel. The room was spotless, and the retro-charm is nostalgic. I feel it's important to support family-owned motels... I will be back!
