- Deniz (8/5): Perfect except shower door - Everything, from location,the 600 yr. old building,cleanliness, breakfast and staff was perfect. The rooms (we stayed at 2 ) are comfortable. Only problem is no shower door or curtain exist. After a shower the whole bathroom is under water. We dealt with the problem by putting our used towels on the floor, not the best but the only solution we could come up with. A hard solution as the building is so old and there is limited space for the room and bathroom

- FUNDA (6/5): - Kaldığımız sure boyunca evimizde gibi rahat hissettik. Tek sorun soğuk yağışlı havalarda en yukarıdaki terasta oturma imkaninın olmayışı. Koltukların minderleri ıslak oluyor belki bir kismının ustü kapanabilir. Çunkü bizim tercih etme sebebimiz bereketli hilali fok güzel görmesiydi. - Gert (6/5): - Das Hotel befindet sich sehr schön in einem alten vornehmen Gebäude am Rand der Innenstadt. Das Personal ist nett. Trotz allem: Mein Zimmer direkt neben der Rezeption war die reine Katastrophe. Fast kein Licht, was nicht nur am Alter des Gebäudes liegt, das bewusst auf Fenster verzichtet, weil durch diese Hitze eindringt. Man hätte auch stärker Lampen und mehr davon verwenden können. Für Leute mit Brille ist es unzumutbar. Zum Glück habe ich immer eine Stirnlampe mit, die mir sehr half. Die Kloobrille liegt neben dem Klo, weil die Halterung kaputt ist. Als ich die Dusche anstellen wollte, kippte deren Rückwand nach hinten weg. Es kann aber sein, dass diese Probleme, abgesehen von den Löchern in der Bettdecke, nur in meinem Zimmer auftreten, und die anderen ganz anders sind. Ich kann nur mein Zimmer bewerten, und das war einfach extrem schlecht.
- Firouz (6/5): - das Erreichen bzw. Finden des Hotels auch mithilfe des Navis ist eine Herausforderung und nimmt unheimlich viel Zeit in Anspruch (in unserem Fall gute Stunde). Volles Treppensteigen kommt auch dazu. Parkplatz entspricht auch nicht der behaupteten Angaben. er liegt außerorts(jedes Mal wieder mit vielen Treppen hat man zu kämpfen ) und wirkt sehr unsicher.

Klozetin musluğu sürekli akarak gece uyurken rahatsız ediyordu kendim bir çözüm buldum sesin kesilmesi için .Başka bir odada da arkadaşım vardı. İki kişilik kahvaltıya konulan ikram öyle azdı ki patates kızartmasını koklatmışlar artı Türk kahvesi ücretli demek yerine Türk misafirperverliğini yansıtabilirler Mardin’de insanlar ikram etmeyi sever genelde burda bunu göremedim
- mark (6/5): Disappointing - On arrival I had to wait for an hour while my room was cleaned,a cup of tea would have been nice.big dusty comfortable rooms with battered furniture,must have seen some action over the years. a kettle but you have to bring your own tea/coffee! Average Turkish breakfast served on the terrace.dont expect any service whatsoever, didn't see any staff after 6pm,only the people from the city partying outside my room on the terrace until 2am,they must have kept everyone awake, nobody to tell them to keep quiet! Even on checking out I needed some advice on a taxi to the airport, nobody around! Spend a bit extra and stay at ulubey konegi,my advice!

- Verified traveler (6/5): not so comfortable single room - The complex itself is in fact great: a traditional Mardin konak. Nice terraces, nice breakfast. The single room however I found not very comfortabel. Hardly any light from outside; a bed which was a bit oblique; bathroom a bit cramped with not enough space in fact for the toilet. Shower: such a modern thing but not everything working and some dirty parts of it standing in the showerplace.

- Stephanie (8/5): 3 Nights in Artuklu - My boyfriend and I stayed in the economic room the first night and upgraded to the Ottoman room for two nights, which we loved. Breakfast was small but decent and we ate on the terrace with a view every morning. The location was right in the heart of Artuklu, which was convenient, though not much was open due to lockdowns and covid restrictions. Our only issue with the hotel was that it was very cold in both rooms, the klima is either not big enough to heat the rooms or not strong enough. On the third night we were given an electric heater by the staff upon my boyfriend's insistence. Other than the temperature issue, I was quite happy with my stay.

- Bhagwan (10/5): Amazing Stay - Small boutique hotel. Nice cave like comfortable rooms. The attached toilet is a built in structure. The location is off the main road and have to walk through the lane to reach it. Need to carry your luggage, but a short distance.

- Onur (8/5): Gayet guzel bir deneyim oldu - Odalar bekledigimiz gibiydi. Daha once yorumlara baktik ve beklentimizi ona gore ayarladik. Odanin ambiyansi cok hoştu. Tas duvarlar, yuksek tavan, girisi durumu cok guzeldi. Evet tavandan bazen alçı dusebiliyordu tozlari. Fakat bu odanin kapali ve eski bir oda olmasi havalandirmasi ile rutubet yaparak dusmesine sebebiyet veriyordu. Ama otelin manzarasi, teras katinin güzelligi hepsine degiyordu. Adini bilmedigim bir temizlik ve kahvalti islerini yapan bayan cok duzgun ve yardimseverdi. Gece gorevli bir beyefendi terasta oturan tum misafirlere tek tek kahve yapip getirdi ucretsiz bir sekilde, market ihtiyaci olanlara yardim etti. Benim bu seyahatimde puanim tum herseyi ile 8.5/10 veriyorum
- Verified traveler (4/5): Hayal Kırıklığına Uğrattı - Çift kişilik oda rezervasyonu yaptırmamıza rağmen odadaki tek kişilik yataklar birleştirilip çift kişilik oda diye bize verildi ısrarla değiştirmek istesek de (boş odaları olmasına rağmen) boş odalarının olmadığını bizi başka odaya bu yüzden yerleştirmeyeceklerini söylediler ayriyeten odada sıcak su kesinlikle akmıyordu. Diğer odada bulunan arkadaşlarımız ise rutubet ve tavandan dökülen tavan boyasından muzdariplerdi genel olarak uzun süre konaklanacak bir otel kesinlikle değil ama son gün otelden ayrılırken çok yağmur yağdığından bizi ilçe otogarına bıraktılar.
- Selçuk (8/5): Dara konağı - 850 yıllık geçmişi olan bir konak, bu yüzden bile kalınır.Fiyat olarak çok uygun ve sabah kahvaltısı mevcut. Sabah kahvaltısı güzel ve yeterliydi. Çalışanları kibar ve saygılı.Odamızda klima mevcuttu, odanın yeterli sıcaklığa çıkması biraz uzun zaman alıyor. Mardine 4 yıl sonra ilk defa kar yağdığı için güneş panelleri işlevini yerine getiremiyordu o yüzden sıcak suyumuz yoktu.Normalde varmış. Genel olarak 1 gün kalalım konakta kalalım diyorsanız fiyat açısından düşünülebilir.Ulaşım olarak gayet güzel mardin sokaklarından geçerek ulaşıyorsun.Caddeye yaklaşık 250 metre aşağıda.

- Jorge (8/5): Pleasant - Overall good value for what I paid. Although the staff didn't speak English, they were friendly and did their best to help. The room was nice enough however bathroom tap was broken and shower was in bad condition. Place was very clean, air conditioning worked, and breakfast was delicious. It wasn't a luxurious stay, but it was pleasant. My room is opposite reception which is a bit awkward as there was no sound proofing and so I could hear the 24 hour reception (and assumingly they could hear me).

- Çiğdem (10/5): Mardin’de kalınabilecek en güzel yer! - Bugüne kadar çok otelde kaldım fakat böyle güzel hiç ağırlanmamıştım. Erkek arkadaşımla gittiğim bu Mardin gezimizde sanki otelde değil de otelin işletmecisi Burak Bey’in evinde gibiydik. Nerede yemek yenir, nereye gidilir söylemekle kalmadı bizi kendi misafiriymişizcesine gezdirdi, yedirdi, içirdi kahvemiz çayımıza kadar elleriyle yaptı. Biz bu gezimizde Dara Konağı’nda bir oda ayırttık fakat bir dost edinip döndük. Bu güzel insanlarla dolu konağın Eski Mardin’deki şahane konumu; hem ana caddeye yakınlığı, hem de bir o kadar sesten uzak, huzurlu ortamı ve güzel Mezapotamya manzarası da bize şifa oldu. Güvenilir ve samimi bir ortam için burası tercih edilir. Tüm samimiyetiniz ve içtenliğiniz için teşekkür ederiz evimizde konaklamış gibiydik. Yine geleceğiz. We found this an excellent hotel. Everyone was very polite and friendly and always ready to help. The internal courtyard is a great place for meeting friends also the view from there is beautiful. Being centrally located was also a bonus. We enjoyed our stay in the Dara Konağı. It is centrally located and easy to get around to all the places one wants to visit and see. The room is very comfortable and the attention received from the staff was impeccable. The breakfast was very complete. Great hotel, will recommend to friends going to there!

Mesude ve burak cok tatlilar. Bir de yardimci suriyeli bir ablamiz vardi dilimizi bilmesede sevecenligi ile cok guzel anlastik. Medeniyetler sehri Mardin demekle abartilmamis oldugunu gorduk yasadik cok memnun kaldik Mardin'e ve hosgorulu misafirperver guneydogu insanina hayran kaldik. Dolu dolu 3 gece 4 gun gecirdik. Guzel ulkemin her karis topragi gormeye yasamaya deger.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Very disappointing - The building is very nice, and could be just amazing if the owners improved some really basic features that are completely lacking or simply insufficient. I have experienced two rooms: one double (supposed to be "superior", according to the receptionist) and one single (the only single room at the property, as I have been told), and both were extremely dark, without any window or opening for light and air. Artificial lighting was completely insufficient too, just one single light bulb on the ceiling with very low power, no other lights near the bed. Briefly, it was impossible to read in the room or even see where your own things were. The micro toilet was placed into the same room behind a moving panel, and the sink and shower were terribly smelling. Breakfast was quite poor too and service not very friendly and helpful. The price is low, it's true, but not worth at all, and I suggest to pay few euros/dollars more to get a much better and decent accommodation.
- Michael (4/5): Not quite the quaint inn it proposes to be - It took me a while to find the hotel, as I was driving and followed Google Maps. This was my first mistake, as Google Maps does not reflect the fact that most of the streets in Mardin are too narrow for anything other than pedestrians to go down. When I finally arrived at the hotel, the concierge gave me a single room with no windows, despite the fact that I had paid for a deluxe room. It took arguing with him, despite showing my reservation details, to get him to put me in the correct room. The romance of staying in a traditional stone house is somewhat reduced when all the fixtures are cheap modern ones, but you should still expect that the cold and darkness of a stone dwelling remains. There was no hot water at any time during my stay, and the wifi is presumably free because it doesn't penetrate into the rooms, much the same as mobile signal.
- Ahmed (2/5): DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL - The hotel is not easy to reach, it is in the middle of the mountain of the old city and you have to go down on many stares. The hotel area is not clean and you can see the sanitation water everywhere when you get in/out the hotel. The staff is RUDE and can't speak any language but Turkey. The room needs maintenance - no light!!- and there is no mobile connection. The WIFI is very poor. What the owners write on Hotel.com about the hotel is not TRUE... there is no free tea and coffee in the room. The room is NOT CLEAN and the WC is smelly and not clean. I could not stay the three night in the hotel and I left after 2 nights.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Healing experience in the cave hotel - Good: Beautiful cave type of compound, kind receptionist, clean bed room in the cave with enough size bed, functioning toilet and shower, well-functioning AC, Reasonable room price, Beautiful landscape of Mardin from the cafe space on the second floor, good access to the tourist attraction. Note: - Sink had some problem, but it is fixed by a repair person. - Internet was relatively slow. - (not because of this hotel, but) it is better to note that not many shops along the main streets serve breakfast. You can find a few restaurant serves toast or chicken doner. If you go further to the bus stations, you can find some bakery shops.
