Guest Reviews
- 696Kumaran (2/5): Worst Customer Service - We booked this Hotel for 2 nights. We rode motorcycle from Singapore in to Thailand. As we arrived early on 21 Sep, we requested the staff for early check in as we were exhausted. But we were turned down rudely. Accepted that it's fine, we asked the staff if they can give us a call when the room is ready (as we wanted to go for the drink). Again, staff rudely rejected and asked us to come and check ourselves. When we came back to check in, staff was extremely rude, when questioned that the room is not free, we pay for it, staff replied that we can look for another hotel if we are not happy. No doubt good location, the customer service turned out be a bad experience. Not recommended as there are better Hotels around.
- Greyoldman (8/5): Family holiday - Nice place, nice location and friendly staff especially the tall girl! AC a bit noisy but still acceptable. No free breakfast unless you state in your booking. Will come back again for another trip to date the tall reception girl!
- Eddie (8/5): Great Stay in Hatyai - location is good and within walking distance for food and shopping for essentisl
- Azura (10/5): - Location & service excellent
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Like the location, staff very friendly, only the hotal room need to re-do some thing
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The food and the place and the people’s around.
They are wonderful and helpful .
As for the rooms , the bed sheet and pillow are a bit dirty
Ghks
- Kelvin (2/5): - 1) walking distance to central
2) alot of store of variety
3) convience
- Paul (8/5): - Need to improve on wifi . Very lag .
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It is in town and yet not too overly noisy as we stayed on the top floor facing the other side of the town
- stewartng73 (8/5): hotel - Have a strategy location and easy access, walking 1-2 min distance can have hawker and shopping mall. However this hotel usually book by tour or travel agent book by the voucher. Too little quota for online booking or walk in customer.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The hotel concierge was knowledgeable and polite as compared to the services at the reception counter on the first day of my arrival.
- Joo Kek (8/5): Great location - Good location with friendly staffs.
- kampoh88 (8/5): Mayflower Grande Hatyai (New Wing) - Hotel location is good. Hotel is new and clean. Nearby plenty of food and entertainment choices. Air cond is big and a bit noisy, but it's not too bad. Sound proofing is not so Good, as we can hear noise from connected room.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Good location surrounded by food and convenient store
- Eddie (8/5): Great hotel - Comfortable and friendly staffs experience
- 887edmundh (10/5): Simply good - Nice place nice location.. Will sure be back.. Staff was nice and friendly. With a lot of place to walk and shopping looking forward to be back staying here.. 😂😂😂😂😂Room was big nice streat food around the area
- Verified traveler (6/5): - soundproof is bad, we can hear coughing of neighbor. Decoration and equipments are good. And there's only 1 lift.
- Anonymous (6/5): - The room is clean.
- DHVH (8/5): - The hotel is located in a very centralised location and walking distance to many food and shopping amenities. However, the hotel (old wing) needs to be upgraded. Toilet very run down and looks dirty. Entire room needs to be upgraded.
- Companion22610325279 (4/5): Never again for Mayflower! - Good location, near shopping, massage and food stall.
We brought online and knew is much more cheaper if walk in. Brought with breakfast, but it was the lousy breakfast I would said, any of the street food would be tasty than the hotel food.
Furthermore, received a very bad service from the hotel, my family woke up and going out late from the hotel. The room service group is shouting at us and said “we have to clean many floors and rooms, can’t go up and down just because of you want to go out late.” This kind of service with the hotel rate charge (we went on Hari Raya, aware it should be higher rate, but surprisingly Hatyai can find better and clean hotel but lower rate than Mayflower) is definitely not worth it.
- Richard (8/5): Average accommodation - Check-in was ok but I think the front desk lady could have made us feel a little bit welcome...after all we're hotel guests are we not?
Room was both clean and comfortable. Room amenities and toiletries were adequate. Air conditioning was very good....enjoyed our sleep.
Water pressure was very good...enjoyed the showers.
Location of hotel was very good. Great noodle shop opposite the hotel (New Wing)....as you come down the staircase it's opposite towards the left side.
Housekeeping was efficient and concierge was helpful.
But I think we would try another establishment if we swing by Hatyai again.
- HeidiPHchow (2/5): Never again! - Pros:
Good location, near Kim Yong Market, shopping mall, food outlets & massage shops.
Room is clean & room size reasonably comfortable.
Cons:
Free wifi but poor connection.
Hotel will hold our passport or pay THB1000 for deposit.
Only 1 room card given although you have 2 or 3 ppl.
The worst to come when checking out, I was asked to pay for cracked drinking glass & loss slippers. I explained to the front desk staff that we totally did not touch/use the glass & slippers during the stay. We requested to see her manager but they claimed that manager not around and insisted that we need to pay. I strongly believe this is their SCAM tactics since I have read same reviews on cracked glass before. Therefore, we told the staff that we want to report police because we very sure that not our fault. The staff returned full deposit amount after heard that we want to call police. Thanks GOD that we did not let the Hotel to hold our passports, otherwise sure will been threaten.
This is very bad experience ever.
- Tan (8/5): - Stay at New wing and the rooms are clean, tidy and spacious. Location is good and easy to get food nearby
- Susanliew (6/5): - There was no coffee or tea provided in the room.. disappointed about that.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great location but the room a bit smelly when enter.
- Oo (8/5): - Fast chk-in. Very good parking with nice attendent.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Asking for 2 more pillow because was too thin and can't sleep at all but they said don't have?
Looking for breakfast they someday provide someday not provide and all the food is cold
All dinning table is with hole
Terrible hotel I ever seen
- jeankF9153WE (2/5): Hat Yai - I'm very disappointed of this hotel, brought online everyday with breakfast end up said not enough people so no breakfast buffet, service was bad asking for pillow said don't have. Please don't choose this hotel .
And can see their table was on hole
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good if provide iron. The rest, all good
- Suriyati (10/5): - Very near to halal food.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Best location....
- Chiow Leng Winston (10/5): Great hotel with clean rooms - We booked two rooms and both rooms are clean every day and the bedsheets are changed every day. Also it is just adjacent Lee Gardens which is great for shopping.
- l_xinying (6/5): Great Location! - Booked two rooms during Christmas.
The location is very good, which only require minutes walks to Lee Garden. There is a 7-11 opposite the hotel too. You can also find lot of massage shops near the hotel.
However, one of the room has strong cigarette smell which made us feel uncomfortable.
The attitude of the front desk was also not friendly.
- Yoke Loong (8/5): Will book again if get good price - Good Hotel in good location. The breakfast can be improved.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Close to shopping area good for shoppers to shop around
- EricWoon5385 (10/5): Good Hotel - Good Hotel with very good location. I arrived early and managed to check in immediately. Many place for shopping and food choices. Lee Gardens Plaza is only 2 minute walk away. Opposite the hotel is 7- Eleven.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - OK, only not satisfy with the hotel breakfast.
- ninatisya (8/5): Average but good! - Yes, this is only budget hotel. But the room size is decent, it's clean and well kept. We arrived early (11.30am) and surprisingly they allow us to check in right away! The location is central, located near to eateries, lee garden market, lots of massage place, easy to access tuk-tuk or even grab. I would suggest this hotel if you are looking for central located place to stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Hotel room clean and look good ! Downstairs got night market location very good.
- jOcLh (4/5): Average - We booked 2 rooms and stayed at Mayflower new wings for 3D2N. Location is good and it’s very convenient go to leegarden and kimyong market. Room was clean however bathroom was no enough cleaning, have yellow stain and some sand inside. Hot water doesn’t work on first day and second day morning, first we called to reception but they didn’t fix it until next day morning approached to reception and they just fix it for me but never apologize. My friend asking help from reception to call a driver to book a car on next day departure and they told to my friend will charge 47 batt for 1 minute!! I stayed at motel before at hatyai and I also asking help to call but they never charged me. It’s quite surprise for us .
- Kim Foong (8/5): - I'm very nice stay at hotel good
- anis nur (10/5): Great stay from KL teacher - Hotel location are superb
- Michael (8/5): - It would be better if given a new wing, the room in the old block is just ok. The location is quite central to the shopping area and very convenient to walk about.
- NAZARUDIN (10/5): - Exellent
- fong (8/5): - good location, you just only walk can go to the night street market
- Miss_Hsien (6/5): Average - I stayed in the old wing, which is older. Rooms are of a decent size and are clean. It's not a 5-star hotel but it does its job. The wi-fi signal is pretty weak though. On the plus side, its location is pretty strategic. There are eateries, convenience stores and massage places surrounding it, and it's quite easy to hail a taxi right at the doorstep.
- Lee (8/5): - Ask for one more extra pillow and it doesn't allow.
- Ezany (6/5): Location excellent but the room interior looks old and tired - The hotel located at the center of town. 3 minutes walking distance to Lee Garden Plaza. There were a lot of eateries especially halal food. You dont need to worry
Our room located at 6th floor. Got a connecting room. There is no issue with the hotel although i find the room doesnt really look as appealing as the picture in the website. Furniture looks tired. The room need a little bit of revamp. For the rate we paid, it could be so much better.
Check in was easy and fast. We arrive earlier than expected. Although check in at 2pm but they allowed us to check in at 11am. Lift was a bit small. Can only accomodate 6 pax max at one time.
Would i stay again at this hotel? I might merely because of the location but at this moment i shall look out to other hotel nearby
- Gan (8/5): Suitable for holiday - view nicely , 1 min to Lee Garden at night easy find food and shopping. Opposite thai massage very good . Overall and conditions cleanliness.
- et46 (6/5): Location - Centrally located with nearby departmental stores and eateries, Also, ample massage parlours. Night markets just around the corner.
Mayflower Hotel has a new wing added and this is at the rear of the original building and hence it is quieter. Bring your own bedroom slippers as the supplied sets are re-cycled from the previous occupants . Kettle is provided but no cups or spoons. You need to request for them. Only one door card is given eventhough we were two. Extremely slow checkout. A 3% surcharge is loaded if you pay by credit card.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice and Clean Hotel (New Wing) - Book 5 rooms for 2 nights. Request for all Twin Bed but ended up was given 2 rooms Twin bed and 3 rooms King size bed. It's ok as 5 of the rooms are in the same level.
Stay in Level 7 (7701-7705). Massage are cheap just opposite the hotel -OK MASSAGE. Thai massage 1hr 30min 300baht. Oil massage 2 hours 600baht. Book and did the massage in our room without any additional charge.
- chansaikeong (6/5): An Average Hotel - Stayed here for 2 nights from 24 August to 26 August 2018.
This trip was organized by a travel agency and I know nothing about the detailed of the trip including our accommodation. My overall experience with this hotel was AVERAGELY satisfactory. Below are my detailed comments on different aspect pertaining to the hotel.
1. Cleanliness (5/10)
The cleanliness of the hotel lobby and also the hotel room (Room 310) were in an acceptable level. To me it was still OK but if this factor is your priority for your hotel accommodation then you have to go somewhere else.
2. Staff services (7/10)
Majority are friendly and ready to help especially the concierge and the housekeeping teams.
3. Hotel amenities (3/10)
Very limited. I considered this is not a service hotel. The services that you are getting are matched with what you paid.
4. Room (5/10)
Decent size and acceptable cleanliness. Nothing much to shout about.
5. Toiletries (6/10)
Basic things were provided.
6. WIFI (4/10)
Wifi in hotel lobby was fast and stable but not for the in-room wifi.
The above was my actual experience encountered, for areas or aspects that not mentioned, I am hesitate to leave any comment as I am not in the best position to comment it.
Honestly, if this accommodation is arranged by myself, I shall choose other option instead of this.
- Mohamed (8/5): Clean hotel near to Hatyai Walking Street - Walking distance to Hatyai Walking Street. Halal food easily available at nearby restaurants too.
Hotel is clean, a bit run down. Rooms are huge, toilet a bit cramped.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Extra charges for the empty water bottle which housekeeping didn't refill in the room. Room smelly & old. Bad experience
- BTtx (6/5): Great location with a rundown hotel room - The hotel right at the city center with lots of shops and even night market. Easy access to all locations with tuk-tuk or even walking. Food is everywhere, and cheap massage is just right at the doorsteps.
The only disappointed thing is the receptionist requested us to put our passports with her during our stay which we reluctant to do so. Hence, we each pay THB1K as deposit which is OK for us.
- sharpm4n (8/5): Another alternative hotel nearby Lee Garden - Stayed 3 nights at this hotel back in April 2018.
Tips: Buy hotel check-in voucher at any tour shop nearby Lee Gardens Plaza and you will get cheaper price than published rate.
Reached Lee Gardens Plaza area about 8.30 AM, tried my luck checking-in and was allowed for early check-in. Chose the deluxe room which is bigger and more spacious.
The lift were a bit slow to my liking but still acceptable speed to carry hotel guests up to 9th floor (if not mistaken). They also have new wing but I did not get a room in the new wing.
Just outside of this hotel you will see 7-11 opposite and Hamid Restaurant along the same row. A lot of massage shops so you will be spoilt for choice.
Water heater and water pressure was working normally when I stayed there.
Will repeat this hotel again in the future
- wing (8/5): - Hotel ok near lee garden and seven eleven
Hotel ok near lee garden and seven eleven
Hotel ok near lee garden and seven eleven
Hotel ok near lee garden and seven eleven
Hotel ok near lee garden and seven eleven
- sangiepie (2/5): Worst hotel I had ever been. Dirty and rude staff. - My friend booked this hotel and stayed with us. There are so many bad things. Only one room card given for 2 person, internet keeps jumping out, early morning construction works happen above my hotel room. It’s absolutely atrocious!
- joseph (8/5): Convenience - Walking distance to eateries and shopping. Good and comfy rooms. Friendly staffs and definitely a must stay place for tourist to hatyai town.
- Rebecca (2/5): Dun recommend to stay at this port services hotel - The price of the hotel is not worth, there is no tooth brush provided, glasses of the room is not suitable for hot water, customers services front desk is not well trained, I have booked total 7 rooms and I have requested by email, request for high floor with same level but when I reach they didn’t give us as request, we need to take care of our parents and they change and change our room, at the end I so angry and ask them to ask their manager out then they say ok but they still give us 7 rooms at 3 different level, what kind of services are they.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Satisfied with its strategic location but was disappointed with the poor customer service. The room was okay but not really clean.
- Roundtheworld6666 (2/5): Horrible service - Booked 2 rooms for 5 adults and 1 child. Added an extra bed for 300 baht. The extra bed mattress is so thin that it hurts to lie down as you are like lying on the bed frame. Asked to top up another mattress and was told it will be chargeable at 300 baht.
Another room stayed a family of 3, the kid is 4 year old. Asked to provide a towel for the kid and was told not able to. So how is the kid going for her shower?
Rooms cleanliness not up to standard. Was given 2 pairs of dirty bedroom slippers. When asked for new piece, they say it’s not available. How can you provide bedroom slippers that’s used?? Where’s the personal hygiene?
No toothbrush provided. Asked the house keeping and they say go 7-11. It’s really a very lousy customer service. Everything is about money and money. Extra pillows cannot as well.
They keep your passport during check in without informing. I am super angry over this hotel and will not visit them ever again.
- Mark (6/5): good location at the city centre - 1.good location at the city centre
2. 1st time come across hotel has surcharge to call taxi to airport. i got to go to taxi station to get the taxi.
- Verified traveler (8/5): family holidays - this is our first time with MayFlower hotel, location is super strategy but the fixture for example sofa, floor, bath tub need to be upgrade to provide excellent comfort to tourists.
- SOO (4/5): - Staff are not friendly at all.
- Verified traveler (10/5): convenience place in town - good hotel, service so far so good, floor a bit dirty then the staff quickly clean it.
- Jenny (8/5): Complementary - Overall the hotel is clean and comfort. Very quiet and cosy . Room service was very efficient
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good location - Convenient location
- Marc (10/5): - WiFi could be better
- disappointed (4/5): Breakfast 👎👎👎👎 - Food not up to standard. Staffs were not courtesious at all. Front Line staffs OK
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Staff service is very poor.. Maybe I should try mayflower 2
- jamie (4/5): Not to our expectation - This is my second time booking with Expedia and I find that the image shown in the website differ from my real experience once walking into the Hotel.
- siti (6/5): Close to Lee garden plaza and halal food area - Basic hotel with basic amenities. Not expecting much as most of the hotels in hatyai are old. As long as the hotel is clean, that is enough for me. However, the location is great. Near to the Lee garden plaza n night market that sell halal food. Just around 150m+-. Near to halal restaurant too. If u need to walk around after checked out, u can leave your bag/luggage with the bell boy.
- yoki (6/5): Good Location with reasonable price - Good location. Massage, shopping complex, day & night market are all in waking distance.
Front counter staffs not so friendly and not helpful.
Still recommend this hotel for its price and location.
- fishs (8/5): - 1. Good location to Lee Garden Plaza & Central
2. Have a 7-11 in front of hotel
3. Alot of massage shop when walk from hotel, open until midnight
- Serene (6/5): Feedback - Wifi is weak.
Mattress unconfortable
No extra pillow provided
Insufficient hanger only 3pcs provided for 2 person ?
- Lee (8/5): - Location is very good but hotel is really run down. Need a major renovation
- jasmine (8/5): Near to Lee garden plaza , lots of food n shop - Stay in this hotel many times because very convient
- Su Wei (6/5): Value for money - The building has plenty signed of water seepage. But overall it's clean and comfortable. Great location.
- Jaslyn (4/5): Convenient location. - Staffs are rude & unfriendly. We have 5 rooms booking. When asked if we could have 4 connecting rooms, they replied 'No' cannot in rude tone.
- Nic (8/5): Nice hotel right at town - My annual hotel room stay. Spacious room. Cold room. Good amenities. Easy access to mall and street foods. It has a new wing opened next to it.
- nicholas (8/5): One of the best looking ones - Consider one of the best in the town. Pay what you get and located strategicly at the town full of foods and handicraft.
- law (10/5): - Conveniently located, within walking distance to the hot springs and the downtown shopping area.
- Hans (4/5): Poor Facilities - All the facilities are old which required major upgrade.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Hotel with good location - hotel just infront lee garden plaza, very convenient
- jack (6/5): - Normal. Only parking ok. Location not really good. Front counter not friendly
- Nigel chin (10/5): Best location - everything within walking distance shopping, food , massage and 7-11 opposite the hotel .
- Kok Leong (10/5): Good - Great
- SING KEONG (6/5): Close to walking street and shopping centre - Room 407 on the wall got a few insects . Swift action taken by housekeeper to remove it and then spray with freshener.
- melvin (6/5): Closed to night market - Very noisy. No sound proof. Very clear the outside noise heard from room. Didn't have good sleep.
- Alex (4/5): Wrong information on room setting - Wrong information on room setting. Manager not friendly and fierce.
- Jessica (6/5): Location good - Location is good but not the manager. Wrong information on room setting.
- Jessica (6/5): Good location - Feel cheated by the room setting of beds. Written with 1 double bed AND 2 single beds. But turn out is “OR”, manager is not friendly and rude. If know that room setting is “OR” then should book the old wing with cheaper rate.
Overall the location is good and centralised.
- seeker (6/5): cheap and decent accommodation - cheap and decent place to stay for a night or 2, and its close to main shopping area. The rooms and building need some touch up work but for the price, I think its fair. There is new wing Mayflower2 in operation, just behind this MayFlower.
- chin (8/5): Bed type - We booked super deluxe (new wing) wt 1 double and 2single beds.
Once checked in only we knew that new wing's blok only available for 1 double bed OR 2single beds instead of 1 double AND 2single beds.
