Guest Reviews
- Maureen (10/5): This is a very nice place to stay. - Beautiful and comfortable. The staff was very helpful. They made lovely breakfasts. It required us to take a taxi although they came quickly and did not charge a lot.
- German (5/5): - Great facilities, everything was very clean. They let us check in early, which was nice coming from a long flight. Breakfast was included which was also nice but after the last day we decided to eat elsewhere. We had issues with the water. At first it wouldn't come out hot, and then it ran out.
The staff wasnt very communicative. They shut off the water for maintenance for a couple hours without letting us know and there was no one around to help us. So we were stuck wondering when it would come back on or if we would even have water for the night. It was a little stressful, but it eventually got resolved. Still don't want to be worrying about things like this while we are on vacation.
- Arturo (10/5): Just book this one - The star is definitely the whole staff. The people working at this hotel are the nicest. They truly all treated my family like we were at home and they were invested in us having a great stay. Getting to the hotel is a bit confusing, but nothing terrible.
- Pierre (10/5): Our go to hotel in San Miguel - Exceptional staff. Karla and her team are amazing.
The facilities are great. Our room was nicely decorated.
My wife and I loved our time at Casa Don Pasquale Hotel for our honeymoon.
We will definitely come back! 20 min walk from the city center. Steep walk.
But we knew this based on reviews and cabs and uber are very cheap so clearly worth the 5 min ride to be in such a nice location with a pool, a view and great service.
- Antonio (10/5): - El trato de tido el personal fue muy cálido y pendientes en tus necesidades, prácticamente personalizado.
Lo recomiendo al mil.
- Esperanza (10/5): - The staff was very nice. The breakfast was prepared for us in the moment. The place is very beautiful.
- Eloisa (8/5): - La casa es muy bella, tiene un estilo único Que se ocupo el área común y había demasiado ruido afuera de la habitación
El internet fue inestable y la tv no se veía
- Sangeeta (8/5): - Andrea in the kitchen and her helper are very nice.
- Lynn O (9/5): -
- Joannis (10/5): Best Mexico Experience!
- Bruce (10/5): - Felt like living in someone’s. seemed very safe and secure. be prepared to walk as it is up the hill. Good news, ubers and cabs are inexpensive and can get you home at night.
- Flor (10/5): - I love it here
- Marcelo (10/5): Our stay was very pleasant and very fulfilling! - The property is amazing! The decore, the view and the service were great!! The feel of a large home with so many details was to make sure everyone in our circle knows about it to consider it as their stay when visiting San Miguel!
- Armando (8/5): Beautiful property and amazing staff. - The property is stunning. The staff was friendly and very attentive. It was a very unique experience. The views are stunning and it is quite peaceful up on the hill. The location is a bit far and difficult to walk to because it is located on a steep inclined road. You can take a taxi to the center easily and the staff is very willing to call one for you.
- Adi (10/5): We had a blast - Amazing stay. A Beautiful place in a majestic town. Great service.
- Andrea (10/5): Exceptional -
- Evangelina (7/5): Good - Liked the layout of the rooms/apartment room and cover parking. Beautiful lobby/ house decor. Pool was nice. Food was good. Very nice and peaceful atmosphere. Very enjoyable. one sink faucet was not working in the bathroom.
- Sabine-ursula (10/5): Stunning - A Memorable Stay at Casa Don Pascual
Our experience at Casa Don Pascual was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment we arrived, we felt completely taken care of by the amazing staff. We had an early arrival at 7 AM, and even though check-in wasn’t until later, the team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Not only were we able to check in early, but we were also offered an extra breakfast, which was such a thoughtful touch.
The views from the property were absolutely breathtaking—each morning, we woke up to the stunning surroundings, which made our stay even more special. The hospitality was second to none, and the staff truly made us feel like family. Their attention to detail and willingness to accommodate every need really set this place apart. The facility is gorgeous you often are overhwhelmed with the art detail anywhere you look.
One of the most memorable moments came on our last day when my daughter was searching for a specific Mexican sweet dish—a type of bread she had been craving. We mentioned it to Andrea, the cook, and she immediately took action. She called Karla ( the manager), who arrived from town with three different varieties of the bread for my daughter to choose from. The effort and thoughtfulness that went into this gesture were beyond our expectations, and my daughter was thrilled! The flexibility of the service also stood out. We had booked a hot air balloon ride and needed a later breakfast. Without hesitation, the staff arranged a later meal for us, making sure we could enjoy everything at our own pace.
From start to finish, our stay at Casa Don Pascual was filled with incredible moments of warmth, kindness, and outstanding service. Whether it was the amazing staff, the unforgettable views, or the special attention to detail, this place made us feel truly at home. We can't recommend it highly enough and look forward to returning one day! Nothing
- Bobbi (10/5): I was the only one out of the 6 rooms booked before the long weekend when the entire Casa was full. On the days I was b - Gorgeous spacious hacienda
- Marco (10/5): - Muy bien ubicado, linda la decoración y el lugar
- Anna (10/5): - This "hotel" is gorgeous. Truly more of a bed and breakfast, sitting up high, overlooking all of San Miguel. The views are stunning from every angle. The decor is classic for the area. The art on the property is impeccable. The hand-crafted furniture is stunning. You will have access to a dining room with big, beautiful dining table, a library full of books & fireplace, pool, and a gorgeous, wrap-around balcony. The staff are kind, accommodating and excel at customer service. I have traveled all over the world and this spot is my favorite for lodging. My room was huge, beautifully decorated, comfortable, and was cleaned daily by a lady who not only cleaned but organized. The SHEETS on my bed were the best sheets I have ever slept on. Every morning breakfast was prepared by the most talented, kind, and loving hands. If you want to lodge in a place that gives you an authentic "heart of Mexico" experience, this is your place. You will feel welcomed, loved, and pampered at Casa Don Pascual. Words just cannot express how impressed I was with this place and the staff.
My only suggestion is an ice machine for guests to access, and small refrigerators in the rooms.
I will stay here again and again :)
- Devon Leigh (10/5): - We had a lovely weeks stay in November. The property is beautiful and well maintained. The art and decor is stunning. Andrea was an excellent host and great breakfast cook. She made our stay special. The property is a steep walk to Centro, but Ubers are super inexpensive and convenient.
- Neel (10/5): Loved staying here so much. Highly recommended! - EVERYTHING! The staff were friendly and accommodating. The art and design of the space is stunning. NOTHING! It’s a truly beautiful space .
- Brian (10/5): - It was such a wonderful stay! We loved everything about this hotel!
- Maricela (10/5): - Very clean and quiet place to stay. Breakfast was so good as well. Definitely recommend!
- Carlos (10/5): - First time I have stayed at this property and totally blown away by the beautiful quiet, rustic, clean environment. This is a hidden gem. You will not find a better value in San Miguel. I totally recommend and will be my home away from home.
- JUAN MANUEL (2/5): Terrible - La habitación no tenía aire acondicionado las ventanas a un solo lado no entraba aire y mucho mucho calor no pudimos dormir
- Felix (10/5): - Amazing service! Hector and his staff made us feel very welcomed with a unique and personalized service! I highly recommend this place.
- Consuelo (3/5): Poor - The place was beautifully.
- Susana Guadalupe (10/5): - Muy buena atención y una agradable experiencia.
- Gerardo (10/5): - Excelente opción para pasar unos días en San Miguel
- Kevin (10/5): Exceptional - I loved everything. Staff was great and the facility is phenomenal. I would definitely recommend Nothing here!
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional - Staff and management are the best!
- Pilar (10/5): - Vvvb
- Romero (10/5): Exceptional - My stay at Casa Don Pascual was great! The room was comfortable, the property was well maintained and beautiful to walk around in the morning. The staff were amazing! Carla and Alfonso had great recommendations and helped my group and I navigate the city. I don’t think my impromptu trip would have been as smooth without the help of Carla and Alfonso.
- Janice (10/5): - A spotless authentically styled boutique Casa filled with beautiful wall art, pottery and more. We didn’t use the pool but I loved opening the curtains, making an in room coffee ( really good coffee too!) and watching the day come alive. The staff are friendly, helpful and professional and offered suggestions to suit our needs. Thank you all for your kindness. The casa is up hill from the Centro and we were able to walk four different routes and see the many spectacular sights. By staying in the center of town you will not have the same experience. We took taxis back in the evening which are very reasonable. We hope to return within the next few years as San Miguel de Allende was everything we expected. Spectacular.
- Monica (10/5): - It’s beautiful
- Clara (9/5): A grand and beautifully curated home - Beautiful Mexican art, a lot of care has gone into making the place feel special. Encouraged to feel like it was home. Nice sheets. Location is fine for driving and taxis but on the fringe of the city for walking
- Jose Antonio (8/5): - Bonito lugar
- Arnnold (10/5): - Ante todo muy tranquila , segura y el Señor Erick atento a todo , me quedaría siempre en esta propiedad
- Carlos Adrian (10/5): - Excelente servicio
- Francisco (10/5): - Our trip was outstanding at this property, we loved the hotel because it’s well kept, very clean and staff was super nice.
Erick our the manager and contact person was very helpful and welcoming, I personally never had known a person like Erick .
He went over and beyond the extra mile.
Nevertheless the staff was also extraordinary specially our amazing chef ANDREA
And Sergio the night guard was also extremely friendly to all of us.
I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THIS AMAZING PROPERTY.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Everything was great except the location.
- Andrés (8/5): Very good - Place is super impressive. Reception of the internet was terrible.
- Juan (10/5): - This property was beautiful. It is well maintained and the decor seems to be handpicked to match the colonial artistry. The room and area is wide open giving you an opportunity to stand back and take in the meticulous attention to detail. The staff was amazing. They were super friendly and always available to answer any questions. It is a little off the path, but situated on a very quiet area where you can rest after a busy day in the town. This is definitely a place to come back to.
- Jose (10/5): This was a great stay. Staff was also great - The hotel is great and the staff is really nice. The street is not very good, but once in the hotel, the stay is really nice. Cheers to Andrea for being so great.
The hotel staff needs to correct the description of the hotel where it says that breakfast is included but then they question it as it is not anywhere in the reservation.
I would stay here again, but definitely need clarification on the breakfast part. The stay was really great
- Larry (10/5): - Beautiful property. You check in and other than breakfast you are on your own. If you want anything like food or drink you leave the property which is not close to anything. A beautiful place to get away. Not practical to try to walk anywhere. Taxi is easy to get and you will need one most of the time as driving around is quite challenging on narrow mountainside roads. Want to get away? This is it.
- Rodolfo (10/5): - Sergio was such a nice person. As well as the kitchen staff!!!
Love it!!!
- Arriaga (10/5): - beautiful place peaceful. wonderful city view..five star breakfast.
- Felipe (10/5): Exceptional -
- Venislava (10/5): I I felt like I was in a Hollywood movie. - if you want to immerse yourself in the beauty and romance of colonial mexico and feel its spirit this is the right place for you. Extremely well-maintained estate created with great attention to every detail, a beautiful design that is timeless. Erik was a great host. Helpful and responsible. Nothing
- E. (1/5): Bad - Everything is a lie! The suite cost aprox $250.00 US per night!!!!!! and everything is a deception It is advertised as boutique hotel so the atention must be perfect...NO Only was one person for check in and of course pay the stay and then he vanished! Any problem or request was by whatsap. The lock of the room was break down and they said it will be solve the first day, but it never was. At the room they did not change towels (luxurysuite?) there was only one piece of toilet and a small piece of soap!!! I enclosed the pictures of the room. The breakfast was poor and the people that were at the kitchen eith no sense of SERVICE. In short It is a fraud considering the price they charged and the queality of hospitality they offer. I write this to warning other travelers not to be tricked. The stayed was not enjoyable at all, I have been in other so called Boutique Hotels and they really make an effort to be the best. NOT THIS ONE
- Sandra (9/5): Superb - It is a beautiful Boutique hotel. If you don't mind the climb up hills or taking a taxi it's fabulous. I would have liked that the pool was heated. It was very difficult to get in even though the weather was warm enough.
Also, the hot tub is not very hot. It wouldn't go above 21 degrees.
A small coffee pot in the room would be nice too.
- Anonymous (5/5): as much I liked my stay as there were few guests that week, it is too far from the center. - a gorgeously decorated grand casa with a swimming pool and comfort all around. There is very little Prince of the staff. the location is high up above the city and a tough walk there. At night we can hear the trucks from the above highway.
- Helen (10/5): - We stayed at one of their apartments which were comfortable, cozy, and it was nice to have a big space rather than a tiny hotel room.
- Paula (8/5): Very good -
- Marina (10/5): - Fantastic property, personal attention on arrival, plenty of relatively easy parking, full kitchen at your disposal, basic omelette breakfast is served in the morning, upper balcony of main building with a lot of public space has a great view of the city center, but not easily recognized from the street and is recommended to take a taxi on return to the hotel from city walk due to a relatively long climb up the hill (that is how you get a great view from the hill). The taxi is cheap and easy to find.
- Heidy (10/5): - Really friendly staff, beautiful home with all the necessities and more, family style breakfast, close to centro in a walkable distance of 15-20 minutes. Includes parking which is really hard to come by. Would definitely love to stay there again.
- johanna (10/5): - Beautiful place, very friendly staff.
- Gary (10/5): Nice relaxing and quiet - Great charm great feeling excellent well done The Jacuzzi and pool, the Jacuzzi needs to be retiled
- Eoin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michelle (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alejandra (10/5): - The property itself was great and the staff was excellent. We were told during the month of May there is a festival going on so it was extremely noisy during the night. Would recommend this place, but maybe skip the month of May to avoid the fireworks going off all night.
- Ernesto (6/5): - The accomodation is really neat and beautifully decorated. It was quiet and it is indeed a fine place for relaxing and resting. Take into account that although the city's downtown is at a walking distance, somo of it is a steepy road uphill on your way back, so you might actually depend on a car/taking a taxi to move around.
Our time there was nice all in all, but the checking in into the hotel was really annoying, for there was nobody awaiting for us at the property due to some confusion in their reservation system. We had to wait for more than 40 minutes until someone finally showed up after we were able to contact the manager through the Expedia message system (there was nobody to pick up the phone at the property either), whom, by the way, never showed up nor offered any kind of compensation for the inconveniences.
- Sandra (10/5): - The house was beautiful and the room was clean and nicely decorated. Margarita and Mary were great hostess. They had breakfast ready everyday. It felt like being at home but away from home. Great place to stay!
- Kevin (8/5): - They Primary reason of staying here was for the Hot tube, But, Not Heated at all. Ice COLD.
- Marina (8/5): - todo esta super bien!
lo único que pensamos es que deberían de aceptar american express para pagos.
- Craig (10/5): - Beautiful place. Very homey atmosphere.
- Maria (10/5): Don't miss this gem! - Can't say enough good things about this place! Truly a special place to stay. Beautiful house tastefully appointed, large comfortable rooms, delightful hang out areas, incredible staff, delicious breakfast. It was hard to leave!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Absolutely beautiful hacienda style bed & breakfast. Our bedroom opened up to the pool area directly. Stunning decor, super friendly staff, definitely want to come back at some point. (Only minor complaints: a weak WIFI connection and shower didn’t have hot water, but it was promptly fixed!)
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The ambiance was casual and the place was clean and safe. The views were excellent, but the staff was always supportive and responsive. Five stars. Perfect for our group. Quiet adults only a complete pleasure.
- Magnolia A. (8/5): Great place to stay. - It was a nice place. Hosts are great and tended to us perfectly. House is not walking distance to center area. We had go get an Uber or taxi back and forth. Too much noise out with the freeway being so close. Cars driving on freeway we’re noisy. Fireworks all night and super noisy due to the town’s festivities.
- Jake (10/5): - Casa Don Pascual is just gorgeous. Our room was probably the best decorated room I have ever had the pleasure of staying in. The place is full of art that is eclectic, but fun and tasteful. Leonardo speaks great English and he was a great contact each day. The breakfasts (I had fresh fruit, eggs, and chilaquiles) were a treat. We had a great time and plan to come back here for sure!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - the service was excellent, I felt like a 5 star hotel; The place is very quiet, away from the noise but close to the attractions of the town. The breakfast is delishh and included in the price. 1000% recommended
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The staff is amazing. Took care of all of our needs both at the hacienda, outside adventures and meal reservations. Each morning we were very pleased with a wonderful homemade Mexican breakfast. (Made to order).
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We were pleasantly surprised as you never know if the on line reviews are correct or not. Casa Don Pascual is a beautiful hacienda type boutique hotel. Cannot say enough about how nicely it is furnished etc. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The establishment is quiet and the breakfast is excellent and since it is served in the grand dining room you have the opportunity to visit with other guest and discus things to do in San Miguel de Allende. We strongly recommend Casa Don Pascual.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - My husband and I had an amazing time at Casa de Don Pascual, they really make you feel like you’re home!!! The breakfast made by Margarita was delicious. Leonardo and Sergio are very friendly and they give you excellent customer service, I would recommend this place to all my family and friends. Next time we go to San Miguel we definitely stay there again. Thank you!!!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We stayed for a week. Leonardo, the manager, couldn’t have been more accommodating!! He made all the reservations for our tours and airport pick-up and return. The grounds and hotel are incredibly beautiful! Sergio and his wife, Margarita make daily delicious Mexican breakfasts and maintain the property. It was a trip of a lifetime that went off without a hitch, thanks to Leonardo and his staff!
- Rafael (8/5): - The staff was very friendly and helpful. They bent over backwards to make our stay pleasant.
The installations seemed cold and dusty. The rooms were cold and it was not in a great location.
- Wendy (10/5): Our Best Choice Yet - This hotel was absolutely amazing! The staff was courteous and helpful and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. We believe it was the most beautiful hotel that we have stayed in Mexico. We love the colonial feel, yet with all the modern conveniences. A lovely breakfast was included each morning, with eggs, bacon, fruit, bread, and juice or coffee. The walk to town took about 15 minutes; we stopped at a coffee shop along the way each morning. We were amazed at the decor and the wonderful feeling of the hotel. We felt it was the best choice that we had made in the many hotels we have stayed in Mexico. Well worth the value. If you choose to take a taxi to town, it will cost about 3 to 4 dollars. The staff arranged for a shuttle back to the airport - about $85, and had no problem with a late check out. Leonardo, Sergio, and Margarita were all very helpful and supportive as we negotiated our way around town. We would definitely stay there again and would highly, highly recommend it to anyone.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful place ,they make you feel right at home and can’t do enough for you.highly reccomend this hotel
- MartinMurillo (10/5): - Small and personal treatment, good and cozy accomodations
- Agustín (10/5): - The property was spacious
Had great views of The Valley
Had well kept garden
Only needs a bigger TV
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very beautiful house. The staff was always available. There were a few amenities that were not apparent, such as, use of an outside refrigerator and the fact that the upstairs outside patio was available for use by all. The staff was wonderful. The rooms beautiful. It was easy to get to the center of town by bus or by a half-hour steep downhill walk. There is a wonderful restaurant within walking distance. Parking was never a problem and was enclosed in the secure, gated space of the house. I would recommend this house to anyone. We loved our stay there.
- Vivian (8/5): - Hotel very nice. Staff very nice and helpful. Quiet except for occasional barking dogs. Room too dark and too cool in morning and night. Occasional problems with TV and internet but quickly remedied by staff. Breakfasts served promptly In very nice dining room. Location on a hill so had to walk down hill to center of city, approx. 15 min. trek. Quite a trek back up.
Overall, nice place for the price.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lovely property! Perched high on a hill over-looking the city, this small hotel offers breathtaking views. The staff is gracious and warm.
- Amanda (10/5): - This property is gorgeous! Rooms and bathrooms are very large and beautifully decorated. The staff is amazing they go above and beyond to meet your needs. They made all necessary arrangements for anything we asked for. The breakfast is so delicious, I looked forward to it every morning. Jorge and Sergio made our stay worry free. The house is extremely secure and close to everything of interest. Every hotel needs a Jorge, he is an outstanding host. They made us feel like family. I will definitely be coming back and I wouldn't stay anywhere else. I give this property a huge thumbs up, not one complaint at all.
- Mary (10/5): Casa don Pascual — a little bit of Paradise - Such a beautiful place! Lots of privacy. Artfully decorated. Wonderful pool. Very helpful staff. Delicious breakfast with great Mexican pastries.. Sergio, Jorge & Margarita made us feel like so welcome, gave great advice & connections to touristy events. Walking a few blocks to catch the local bus into town was fun — cab rides homes for about 3$. It was strip back in time- a retreat in a huge colonial mansion.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This is an incredibly comfortable and elegant place. I would go back there for a long stay without hesitation. It is beautiful. Loved it. The people are so very friendly and helpful. The only awkward thing is the exterior is very hard to locate and uninviting with little signage or sense of entry. First time arrival is difficult. It is a bit like a geode. Rough on the outside and amazing on the inside.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful place with nice and helpful staff but a little difficult to reach if you don’t know the area. Far enough from the noise but close enough to go downtown. After being in San Miguel for the first time I will look for something downtown next time because it is not that noisy for me.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Its a beauty! Ultra relaxing, unique and true to its location.
- Brenda (10/5): Piece of Paradise - This is an absolutely gorgeous boutique hotel. It only has six rooms and they are all absolutely lovely. The staff could have been more helpful. Beds are very comfortable, plenty of hot water. This is not a cookie cutter place, but one that is very unique for the thoughtful traveler. Eric and Sergio really took care of my every need. Eric said, "this is your home, if you need something, just go into the kitchen." I did feel really at home. Sergio even saw me off at 4:30 am.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The property is beautiful, clean and comfortable! The staff is friendly and attentive! Sergio and Eric really looked after me and my wife , even picked us up at the airport in Quetetaro! The breakfast was delicious: we had huevos rancheros and chilakiles, and the coffee was gourmet! They really made our experience in San Miguel de Allende spectacular! We have to come back and visit again! Thank you!!
