I was surprised the beds were platform so they were lower. It was a non-issue for us. Might be an issue for someone older since the beds were so low.

The city streets (one ways) and the commons made it a difficult find and then for us to park our car was another go around the many blocks to get to. We didn’t use valet. Parking out front, while checking in didn’t have enough room for all of us coming and going.

The Valet Parking sign was outside and prominent but we were told there was no valet parking due to the weather. The reason we needed it was because of the weather! The cover on the bed was not heavy enough to keep us warm.

The front desk was so nice and helpful, made you feel welcomed. The room was nice and clean and I’m a clean freak. Some guy came and and said maintenance, which he did have a Marriott sweater on , complained about smoking but actually 2 of my kids and I are allergic to cigarette smoke. Then we leave and he was one out there smoking in garage. Made me feel a little unsafe.

The check in receptionist was very smug and to the point with a robotic personality. I don’t like the fact that I’m a bon voy member and it’s cheaper to use booking.com. We also had to evacuate the hotel for an alarm, no answer as to why either… the fire department pulled up and then left after parking in front of the entrance of the hotel.

Upon informing the gentleman at the front desk his response was immediately " well there's a cancelation fee". I had not requested a refund. He quickly went to his computer and said " oh, you made your reservations through a third party ( booking.com). Its out if our hands". He was almost glib. The interaction was strange. If I was running that desk my first question would have been something much different. Possibly inquiring if there was a problem. There wasn't. No, " hope you enjoyed your stay " or " thanks for staying with us"

- Ryan (10/5): - Room was very clean. Great location to explore the downtown. The staff are fantastic all around and they were the highlight for me. I ended up needing help from maintenance and the gentleman was so friendly and helpful. Front desk, restaurant, they were all great.

The downstairs gym was ok but not stocked with towels. The self-serve coffee machine in lobby was not restocked often enough, no cups no creamer. Was quite disappointing after our previous better reviewed stay. Perhaps staffing issues?

One thing could be added/chgd/ is more towel rods in the bathrm. Location and Parking very convenient! Staff encountered in all areas were attentive, friendly and accommodating.

- Paul (9/5): Stay was great - The Hotel is right near all the restaurants and shops. Easy drive to get to lake attractions. Rooms were clean and spacious. Hotel did not have complimentary coffee to offer its guests. Had to pay out of machine. Not a big deal but did not like that about this hotel.
- Melissa (10/5): - The staff was very friendly and helpful. The property is centrally located to all the shops and restaurants. The parking lot is connected to the hotel and for $10 a day, with hotel validation, it’s a great (and convenient) deal.

- Aysun (9/5): Keyifli bir konaklama oldu. - konumu çok iyiydi hem Ithaca'nın merkezinde hem de arabayla Cornell'e yakındı. kahvaltı biz Türkler için biraz değişik Amerika'da. Ancak Cornell Üniversitesinde çok Türk olması sebebiyle konaklama da mutlaka yapılıyordur. Kahvaltı biraz daha uyarlanabilir. Aylar öncesinde rez yapmamıza rağmen çok pahalı bir konaklama olmasından maalesef hoşlanmadım.

- Drew (10/5): - Loved being at walking distance to eateries. We stayed on the 3rd floor. No elevator. The stairs were fine. Loved the decor. Great outdoor seating to socialize. Food truck was a nice little surprise.
- Timea (10/5): - We had a great stay at the hotel — the highlight for me was how exceptionally clean everything was. The rooms, hallways, and shared areas were spotless and well-maintained, which made our stay really comfortable. Another big plus was the easy and convenient parking, which made things so much easier for us. One thing I wouldn’t recommend, though, is the on-site restaurant “The Monk” located in the hotel lobby. Unfortunately, every dish we ordered was disappointing, both in taste and quality.
- Jeffrey (2/5): - Terrible stay!! Extremely over priced for being a full serve Marriott yet having some of the worst service I have ever experienced. The restaurant service and food quality is terrible. The laundry facilities were filthy dirty. Housekeeping must be called if you want service. Overall a terrible stay!
