The room was spotless and comfy.......and adorable inside and out. It was cozy and inviting. Not a LOT of amenities, but still had everything I needed. The owners are kind, attentive and friendly. I definitely want to go back in the fall!!!

- Maureen (10/5): - My daughter and I enjoyed having our coffee in the gazebo each morning while planning our day. The Inn is a short walk to Burnsville's Farmer's Market as well as restaurants and shops. Our room was clean and comfortable. Ryne was an excellent host. When he discovered I'm from NYC we had a great time discussing Broadway shows and his familial show-biz connections.
- Gaston (10/5): - Excellent place for a quick stay in the mountains! Water pressure and temp absolutely perfect! Bed's extremely soft and sleepable! Will definitely be staying again.

- Ashley (10/5): - Amazing place all the way around
- Cathleen (10/5): - Great hospitality
- John (10/5): - Personable and polite staff.
- Karen (10/5): - I stayed one night on Christmas Eve. with my 3 children. Our room was clean and cute. We had a mini fridge, microwave and coffee pot. The shower was small with no bathtub, but I'm guessing the place is older. Everything was great and there is a rocker on the porch. I'd stay again if needed.
- Antoinette (10/5): - We came down to see our boys who are volunteering with the cleanup of the hurricane. This place was a perfect place to lay our heads and get a shower. Parking was great. The rooms had everything we needed to be comfortable. We will be coming back.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Carolina Country Inn is a small family owned business. The rooms are clean and decent but nothing more. There are no amenities unless you count satellite TV. The rates are excessive to just get a clean room, but there are only two choices in Burnsville other than AirBNB which is also overpriced.
- JOHN (10/5): - Was a little hesitant to stay at a “motel” but was pleasantly surprised. When we pulled in the front was decorated for the season, which made it welcoming. Very clean, quaint, cozy and a warm feeling. Felt more like a bnb. Ryan, the owner, is very personable and friendly. Highly recommend this place. WNC strong!
- Douglas (10/5): - The property was close to the downtown area and restaurants. It was perfect for the occasion.
- daniel (10/5): - Very clean and quiet. Mattress is ready to be replaced. Overall a good stay
- Wes (10/5): - This a beautifully kept older, classic inn, both rooms and especially the grounds and the staff was pleasantly welcoming.
- Sharon (10/5): - Friendliness of staff, clean and comfortable
- Robert (10/5): - Great place to stay!!!!!
Wonderful couple that run it!!
- REBECCA (10/5): - Such a quiet, cozy stay. Takes you back to the good ole days.
- Christopher (10/5): - Outstandingly well-kept property
- Kelley (10/5): - Great place to stay. Not a lot of bills and whistles, but clean, updated and quite little premises.
- Anne (10/5): - Hosts were very helpful about hiking options, prompt handling of general requests and overall
made for a relaxing and convenient stay.
- Sara (10/5): - Kept in good condition. Good towels. Clean. No smell other than cleanser the first day. Friendly staff. Other guests were friendly too.
- Faye (10/5): - Nostalgic old motel that’s been nicely updated. Very clean rooms and hospitable host. Loved the wood floors because, unlike carpet, I can see they are clean.
- Danny (10/5): A trip down memory lane - Nice old motel with modern touches This 1940s motor court style motel has been updated and remodeled. Our room was spotless and in very good shape. The shower was small, but had modern tile and great water pressure. The proprietors were very friendly and accommodating. The grounds and landscaping were well taken care of and we enjoyed the beautiful gazebo. We were able to walk to downtown from the motel and the best breakfast in town; Pig and Grits, was next door
- Mark (10/5): - Very pleasant stay. Friendly staff, and room was clean and comfortable. Grounds are beautifully landscaped. Will definitely be back.
- Nichole Mills (10/5): - Quiet, comfortable and convenient
- Alicia (10/5): - One of my favorite places to stay of all time. They are so friendly and the rooms are always impeccably clean
- Ronald (10/5): - Always clean. Wonderful staff feel welcome all the time.
- Christopher (8/5): - The motel was very clean and well maintained. It is in the perfect location. It is within walking distance to all the cute shops in the town square. The staff was very friendly and personable. There was only one rocking chair for our room to sit in outside. My only suggestion would be to have two chairs lper room to sit in outside. Other than that our stay there was perfect.
- Cynthia (10/5): - Charming retro roadside motel, quiet small town with friendly people and beautiful mountains. The only thing we would suggest is maybe one more comfy chair for the rooms - as age 60 travelers it isn’t always comfortable to sit on beds. But other than that, everything was perfect!
- Eric (10/5): - Nice job, Ryne, keep up the good work!
- Christian (10/5): - Best place in town to stay!
- Gretchen (10/5): - It was super clean and cozy! Nice outdoor seating.
- Richard (10/5): - Great place to stay. It takes you back in time when life was at a slower pace.
- Aderito (10/5): - Super clean and very charming. Love the covered patio at the back of the property.
- Jacqueline (10/5): - Very cozy, peaceful setting. Facility seemed week cared for, though not your typical motel environment. A nice homey vibe - like staying with friends who you only see at check-in (where we were giving great dining recommendations btw).
- Richard (10/5): - Was only here overnight, but excellent service. Was coming in late and the owner had set my key out for me to find easily. The room was very quaint, very country inn vibes!! Clean and comfortable with all the amenities. A/C was a little noisy (could not work out how to turn the blower off completely) but aside from that room was excellent.
- Kelly (10/5): Picture Perfect - Just as beautiful as the pictures & the hotel manager was one of the nicest people that I have talked to in a long time!! HIGHLY recommend this hotel! Plus Burnsville is wonderful!
- Keaten (10/5): - Great place! Very hospitable staff
- Daniel (10/5): - Nice little motel in the city
- Gerald (10/5): - Super clean, great value
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Charming place. Well maintained.
Within walking distance to town with great shop and food.
Friendly staff. Totally recommend.
- Michael (10/5): Great place - We've stayed here dozens of times over the lat 20 years, great family owned motel
- Jason (10/5): - My son and I enjoyed our overnight stay . Being Easter Sunday most places were closed.
- Suzanne (10/5): - Nostalgic feel. Very clean and the management are amazing and so very friendly. Would definitely stay here again. Convenient and walkable to area restaurants.
- Gary (10/5): - Wonderful couple that runs the place. Within walking distance to several nice restaurants. Quiet area. Definitely recommend to anyone.
- Homero (10/5): - Perfect
- Ashley (10/5): Just perfect! - I've stayed at hotels across the country and done my share of traveling, and Carolina Country Inn is one of the top 5 hotel experiences I have had! Although the outside is unassuming, there is a nostalgic charm to the building. The owners are incredibly nice, check-in was a dream, and the room itself was perfect and exceptionally clean. If I ever travel back to the area, I will definitely stay here!
- james (10/5): - The property owner/manager Ryne is super nice and welcoming. Room was very clean and comfortable as always.
- Wayne (10/5): - Cute, cozy, motel, and a nice area of town where you can walk to some restaurants and a few stores.
- Steven (10/5): Three times and counting - As usual, we had a very nice stay. The room was clean and comfortable. We were greeted warmly at check-in and were asked more than once during our stay if there was anything that we needed (there wasn't). The Inn is located within walking distance of downtown Burnsville and plenty of restaurants and shops, and within driving distance of lots of things to see and do in Western NC.
This is our third stay, and we'll definitely be staying there in the future. We recommend it to friends looking for a place to stay when they visit the mountains.
- Harry (6/5): - Manager/owner could not have been nicer! Property is old; however, it is obvious that the present owners are working to keep it up inside and outside. Some enhancements have been made; there are opportunities for others.
Rooms are small but reasonably comfortable. Ours had a kitchenette which we did not use but would have had we stayed longer.
Parking is right outside the door...a real plus.
The only real negative...it is very difficult to get hot water. It is necessary to let the sink or shower run for 10 minutes, or longer, before the water even becomes lukewarm. At times, it never becomes warm much less hot; thus it is impossible to shower unless one can do so in very cold water. We were told the property's hot water heater is an "80 gallon tank" clearly insufficient for a property with a dozen or so rooms. If the owners address/fix this issue, the property would be more appealing.
- John (10/5): - The place was quaint, comfortable, clean and in a great location. Will definitely use again.
- Chip (10/5): - The Carolina Country Inn is a motel that's been conceptualized as a proper inn. Charming and welcoming in the heart of downtown Burnsville.
- Clifton (10/5): - Very pretty, very clean. Nice place to stay in the cute town of Burnsville. Lots of eating places and places to shop nearby.
- Antonio (10/5): - Property manager was excellent in hospitality and service, coffee and teas were delicious thank you
- Malinda (10/5): - Exactly what I imagined and wanted. Parking directly in front of the room, a step back in time, everything you would need, and wonderful, friendly owners!! Wonderful location for walking to shops and restaurants. Visited for the Christmas season and parade.
- Michael (10/5): - Fresh coffee in the morning was nice. Check-in was quick and easy. Ryne at front desk was wonderful and pleasant.
- Wayne (6/5): - Poor shower. Needs to have coffee some where on premises. Loved your little lamps with outlets for phone charge.
- Mark (10/5): - Quaint older property with a lot of rustic charm. Front desk very informative and helpful. Restaurant right next door.
- Dennis (10/5): - Clean and convenient to some fun restaurants
- Barry (10/5): - Great property
- Kristian (10/5): - A cute and friendly place that is an easy walk to nearby restaurants and shops.
- Andrea (10/5): Best little hidden gem! - The Carolina Country Inn is an amazing, behind the scenes, hidden gem. It is family owned by the sweetest couple. Cleanliness is beyond clean! If you are looking for a cute cabin feel without the woods, with a charming little town down the street, and comfort beyond belief - make sure you book a room here! We have been several times and will be back many times in the future!
- jean (10/5): - The bed was very cozy. I loved how convenient it was to walking downtown Burnsville. Everything was super clean and staff friendly.
- Rodney (10/5): Burnsville Beauty - Enjoyed our stay in the cute and cozy motel. Great local owners maintain the property well.
- Boyd (10/5): Labor Day Weekend in Burnsville - Burnsville is a great place to visit - close to hiking trails, plenty of in-town activities - playhouse, shopping, live music at the brewery, nice restaurants.. . The Carolina Country Inn was a perfect location for our visit - walkable to anywhere in town. The motel was easy to get in and out of, the service was excellent, and the room was very comfortable. Will stay here again when I visit Burnsville.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Couldn’t have been nicer.
- David (10/5): - The shower was very small
- Tony (10/5): - I was in town on work. I booked this location because it was the closest to where I needed to be the next morning. Ryan called me ahead of time and was very helpful. The room was very cozy and clean. I had a great nights sleep. I would most definitely stay here again next time I am out that way.
- Cole (10/5): - Great place to hang your hat for the night. Owner is amazingly helpful and friendly. Takes a lot of pride in his property and business. Highly recommend.
- Judy (10/5): - Owner is awesome. Love this place and will be back.
- Gloria (10/5): - It had beautiful landscaping and a cute gazebo that was perfect for family pictures.
- Joseph (8/5): - It room was too small for a King Bed. The Door was sticking. The Bathroom sink was slow to drain.
It was very peaceful. We enjoyed the Gazebo. Parking was very convenient. We will definatley stay there again with hopefully a Queen Bed.
- Kim (10/5): - Cute quite and convenient.
- Christine (10/5): - So nice to stay in a motel, no hallways, just drive up to your place. very nice little garden and patio chairs outside room. perfect place to stay if you're going to Mayland Earth to Sky Park.
