The owner, Eleutheria, was extremely welcoming and helpful, and gave great guidance for interesting things to do, places to eat etc. There were many small touches which made our stay wonderful - we would definitely want to stay here again if re-visiting Chania.

I also want to thank you for your help before our arrival regarding parking our vehicle. Parking just outside the historical walking district was complicated for us, and your guidance made things much easier by directing us to the nearest free parking.

• Blaine (10/5): - We loved this hotel! We actually extended our stay for an additional day. This hotel only has 7 rooms and Eleutheria and the ladies who prestar this hotel were amazing! Be advised that there is no parking around this hotel as it's in the pedestrian district of Old Town Chania so do your research about parking beforehand! Also, there is no elevator so I would advise not taking a large suitcase (as I did). I really felt like I was staying in someone's home here and I can't recommend this hotel enough! We rented a car but it stayed parked the whole time as everything is walkable. Also, Greece has lots of cats! If you're allergic, be prepared.

• Curiosity04720394726 (10/5): Beautiful small hotel in fabulous location - This is an utterly charming 8 or 9 bedroom hotel in a fantastic location right in the Old Town. We had a suite with a front facing balcony called the Yellow Room. It was just delightfully decorated with traditional furniture and curtains around the bed, wooden flooring, lovely features here and there, gorgeous window and door shutters. The owner absolutely makes sure that you are welcome. She has a small team of two other ladies and all three are extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel feels very intimate, comfortable and welcoming, with a family feel. I won’t give any spoilers but there are small things done each day that make your stay extra special. This hotel and its staff made our first time in Chania extra amazing.

Nothing was too much trouble for them, they gave us recommendations on how to get around the area and always made sure everything was spotless for us. And their cat Voula is beautiful with a big personality and happily relaxes on the lovely rooftop. It is a surprisingly quiet stay, even though we are in the old town the street is very calm even. The advice of our host for things to do and see never missed the mark. The only negative was car parking. You can’t drive in old town and there is limited parking nearby. Having been before, nothing will compete with the hospitality, kindness, location and ability to book other opportunities through the host. I’ve been to 56 countries and I rate this location as top notch. It’s not a 4 Seasons. It’s culture, family owned and is everything you need if exploring the city daily without needing the host to bow to your every desire. Even though she does. Rebuilt after WW2, her father passed on the amazing hotel that stands. We also booked a taxi and moped through the host with ease. Along with plenty of recommendations.

They have a wonderful garden space on the top floor. Our room had a kitchenette and the fridge was stocked with water, fruit, and other drinks. The bed was very comfortable. Everything was perfect. I highly recommended staying here if you are in Chania.

Champagne, raki, and fresh fruits are supplied at arrival at no cost. Nice spacious bathroom and bathing accessories. Excellent room airconditioner and a great refrigerator w/ freezer to keep water frozen during those hot days when traveling to the various beaches/excursions. A balcony with table and chairs to observe the street action. Parking is available by Talos square a few minutes walk from the establishment (driving at the old town is limited). Restaurants, shops and supermarkets are nearby. It is a great place to enjoy the old town ambiance in Chania and watch the spectacular sunsets. The owners greet you upon arrival and provide all information needed to make for a wonderful stay. We would stay here again!

• Jessica (10/5): - Palazzo di Pietro was hands-down our favourite accommodation of our trip. It is such charming place with wonderful staff. The decor is rustic and lovely, and totally fits into the aesthetic of the Chania Old Town area. I adored the four-poster bed and all of the unique touches in the room. The rooftop terrace/garden was an added bonus and was a great place to relax after a busy day. Eleutheria, the owner, clearly cares deeply about her clients. She was very friendly and happy to chat about recommendations for what to do, see, and eat. Roxani was also lovely and very helpful. There aren't too many rooms in total, so the staff always had time for us. Best of all was Voula, the little cat who lives at the hotel! She doesn't go into the rooms or bother the guests but if you are interested in spending some time with her she is the loveliest little rooftop companion. A brief word of caution if you're renting a car: there are plenty of parking options within walking distance, except on Saturday evenings, which is when we arrived. The old part of town is so busy at this time that you should be prepared to park far from the hotel, and to navigate very narrow streets full of pedestrians. If I planned our trip again, I would either arrive earlier in the day to find parking or save renting a car until Sunday if possible. Not a fault of the hotel's at all, but good to know before you go!

The owner checked us in and took the time to explain the area and provided a map and recommendations. We were welcomed with fresh fruits and a bottle of wine. Our room was located in heart of Chania old town, literally steps from the beautiful harbor. I highly recommend Palazzo di Pietro, you will not be disappointed.

• Gina (10/5): - The property is well situation in the centre of Chania Town Square. The space (room 6) is self contained. Front desk staff are amazing, welcoming, informative. In our room, on arrival, we had fresh fruit, water, juice, wine, toiletries. Very clean and comfortable for two. I will say however that because there is a restaurant below it was quite noisy in the evening until about 11:30pm. So if you are early to bed, like we were, that was a small issue. But not a deal breaker for the comfort, location, amenities and great welcoming staff. Very good value and would stay there again.

It was literally around the corner from the old port and in the heart of the town. The tea and coffee making facilities and fridge made it even better and we would 100% recommend.

Incredible decor and fully stocked with everything needed, plus fresh fruit and water in the mini fridge, and some wine and local drink to enjoy! I would have loved to stay longer than the two days we booked! Hospitality was abundant and every effort made to make us comfortable and welcome. This stay was one of the highlights of our anniversary trip! We will definitely stay here the next time we visit Crete and will stay longer! This lovely hotel has authentic decor to the time period it was built. It was absolutely perfect!

• Ryan (10/5): - This property was great! Family-owned for centuries with unique rooms for every guest. The place is right in the heart of Hania. For that reason, a taxi won’t take you to the door (so keep that in mind), and the beautiful rooms are older so you could hear your neighbors. Host have great recommendations, and you cannot go wrong in the Old Town nearby! Definitely would recommend!

We stayed in a beautifully restored room that looked even better than the photos right in the heart of the Venetian port. Eleutheria has thought of every detail from the welcome fruit and drinks to the pen in the writing desk. She made us feel completely at home and offered useful guidance and advice about Chania and Crete. So glad I booked this place.
• Katherine (10/5): - We’re so glad we stayed here! We had considered many accommodations, and decided on Palazzo di Pietro because of its traditional vintage charmz We loved this family run hotel. Check in was very welcoming, and included a map full of local sights, in addition to recommendations for dining etc. Staff was helpful throughout our stay - arranging a taxi pick-up for our departure day, etc. The owner was kind and thought of so many little details. There were arrival treats and lovely departing gifts that made our stay feel special - a fridge stocked with fruit and beverages. They provided a water heater, tea and coffee, cups, mugs, plates, and utensils. Great set-up for eating your leftovers. The bathroom was well-equipped, with basic toiletries, cotton rounds, a small wash tub and clips for hanging clothes on the clothesline of our balcony. We loved how many things were provided, and seems great for anyone traveling for an extended amount of time. The top floor has a rooftop terrace with a view of the water. The hotel is conveniently located in Chania - close to great shopping, sights and restaurants. (Next door Steki had the best mussels we’ve ever had - we’d go back to Chania just to get another plate of them!) A heads-up to anyone with physical limitations, there is no elevator. We were on the third floor, and it felt like a hike to our room, especially with bags, but worth it! Best of all is the adorable black cat who lives there. We would stay again and do recommend!

• William (10/5): - What a wonderful property. Right in the heart of Chania’s old city. It feels like the hotel takes you back in time with its antique furniture and wood finishes but still with modern amenities needed for us. The owners were very sweet and helpful for our first visit in the Crete. Their recommendations and knowledge of Crete helped us build memories we wouldn’t have had without their help. When we revisit Chania this will be our go to hotel.

• Meander67431385910 (10/5): Wonderful Stay. - This hidden gem is wonderful. Located on a busy alley it is charming and appealing from the first glance. The receptionist Katerina was warm and friendly, providing a much-needed cold bottle of water. The only criticism is the lack of a lift, being on the third floor we could have done with it to get the suitcases up, however there is a taxi service that will also carry your bags to and from the room, I would recommend contacting the hotel to get their details. The room was large and spacious, with beautiful antique furniture. The room provides everything you could need, from high quality toiletries to an extensive sewing kit, bottles of complimentary bottles of water in the fridge and ice cubes in the freezer. The “4 ladies” of the establishment have provided an excellent hotel from which to explore the city, Vourla in particular was charming, the biggest disappointment was that we did not have enough time to fully appreciate the area, this means we will have to return at a later date and will hope there is availability for us to stay with them again.

I found a shop owner that called her and she walked 10 minutes to where I was and walked me back. Each room is individualize and mine had a private entrance. There were lots of personal touches that made the place feel special. I can't recommend this hotel more. If I am ever back in Chania I will stay here again.

The owner was extremely friendly, commuicative and gave us great advice regarding our hiking excursion to the Somaria Gorge. This was our first trip to Greece and the islands. A couple of things that would've been helpful to know: 1. The hotel street is not accessable by car, so you can't drive up and drop off your luggage. 2. Parking was challenging as the streets in the town are blocked off from vehicles passing through. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again!

• Patricia (10/5): Charming and comfortable in the heart of Old Town - A beautiful and quiet and spacious room in the heart of old town Chania. Elefteria is a wonderful host and very knowledgeable about Crete. She lavished us with fruit, rakemolo, beer, water and candies. The balcony is small but sweet. I liked everything about this place and is extremely quiet at night.
• Sophia Amber (10/5): - We were welcomed by the kind and enthusiastic host Eleutheria. The room was fabulous. The hotel felt like a home with little treats as extras, such as fridge items, sweets and coffee making facilities. The hotel's location is superb as it is very central but in a quiet street.

• George (10/5): Wish we could have stayed longer! - We couldn’t be happier here. Charming city with so many potential excursions…western Crete, in October, has the trifecta of smaller crowds coupled with sunshine and lovely swimming. And so much history! Palazzo di Pietro also has a trifecta - old city location, charming historic building and the lovely Eleutheria, the owner. Elutheria thought of everything for her guests, with lots of good recommendations. Parking is the one challenge; we had an 8 minute walk after dropping our luggage from about 100 meters away. It’s a small nuisance, but might be a concern for some.

Very comfortable and cleaned and fresh towels evey day,though we were happy to reuse. Check in was easy and Eleutherine what a lovely lady so knowledgeable and helpful. Thank you again for a wonderful stay. We will be back.

El lugar tine una belleza única y esta Muy limpio… Esta super céntrico en medio de todo y puedes caminar tranquilamente… La central de auto bus esta muy cercas. No necesitas estar pagando taxis o rentar carro. Solo fui por 2 dias, pero me hubiera gustado quedarme otro mas. La dueña del lugar es una señora con mucha clase y elegancia y muy detallista.. se puede sentir en el lugar en cada detalle que tiene en el lugar y para los clientes!! Es mejor que un lugar de 5 estrella. Yo le doy 6 estrellas 🌟.

• Ross (10/5): Our top rated hotel on a five week vacation - Palazzo do Pietro is a beautiful little boutique hotel within minutes walk of the old Chania harbour and all its attractions. Tastefully decorated with comfortable beds. Our room had a nice balcony too. Eleutheria is a wonderful hostess willing to share her vast local knowledge. Take a moment with her to get to know the area, especially regarding the best dining options.
• Chris (10/5): The best place to stay in Chania - This was our most favourite place to stay on our trip. The hotel is stunning and with a rich history that Eleutheria explained to us on arrival. She was incredibly helpful, giving us information and local insights of the town and some great dining suggestions. The room was gorgeous, as was the rooftop terrace, and the location is steps away from everything that Chania has to offer. If you are visiting Chania, make sure you stay here.

• Hanne (10/5): - We loved the fact that we were in a 15th century house and the owner, Eleuftheria, is a descendent of the original owner. It was quirky but updated and Eleuftheria did her best to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We had a Juliette balcony with a little table and 2 chairs. The street was very narrow, there were three restaurants in that street alone. We said hello to guests on the other side of the street who were sitting on their balcony. It felt very cozy. It was charming. There are no elevators but we had no problem walkong up the stairs. At the end, she called us a taxi to go to the airport. George apparently drives many of her guests to the airport. All in all, we loved old town Chania. O can only recoommend.

• Richard (10/5): A lovely property... - We had a lovely stay at Palazzo di Pietro. The innkeeper was waiting for us at our arrival and gave us very helpful information about the city and many of the historical landmarks (as well as providing us with some fruit and wine in our room). Located right in the heart of the old town, there were myriad choices for dining & shopping within easy walks - while we could hear the busy-ness of the city from our room, we appreciated the proximity that it offered. The room was amazingly comfortable considering the age of the property and we enjoyed the roof-top garden for afternoon refreshments. We would definitely recommend this inn to others!

• Walter (8/5): Great hotel with charm.Do NOT book if you have car - Nice hotel perfectly located in the heart of the city center. Hundreds of restaurants to chose . Clean and lots of perks. Coffee in room with fruit and complimentary beer and soda. Wonderful reception. Safe. One MAJOR problem is description showed parking. We had to park almost a mile away. Raining upon checkout and now way to drive up to office. This is common in the towns in Crete.
• Xuhui (10/5): - I highly recommend this property. The room is quiet, clean and easy access to the harbor. We are welcomed with local fruits, raki and champion in the room. The owner is so nice. She gave us a good introduction to the history of the area and recommendations for shopping and the restaurants at the time of check in. We followed her advice and were very satisfied. When we checked out, she also told us to stop by a nice beach on the way to the airport, we enjoyed it. I want to say thank you again to the owner and will definitely book this hotel next time we visit Chania.

Bed was amazingly comfortable and everything was spotless. They really think of everything here and I lacked for nothing. I loved being able to walk out my door and be right in the heart of Old Town. Everything is very well thought out.
