Bobby (6/5): - Parking was very easily accessable. The staff was very friendly. However... the tub lealed out into the bathroom and iut into the floor. And there was roaches in the room. Idk how many i seen while sitting there watching t.v. The room itself seemed clean as far as the beds and appliances. And it was reasonably priced. But bugs.... no good.

Karen (2/5): - We can home with bug bites all over us after sleeping here. We were itching during the night as was our dog. The mgmt was nice when we checked in to the hotel but not so nice when we called to let them know they have a bug problem. The exterior of the motel is in bad disrepair. The room looked updated so we were willing to look past the other problems. Can’t look past the dozens of bite marks on us though.

Trinity (2/5): Don’t waste your money. - Cockroaches(dead and alive); dirty floors and walls. Water damage on ceiling. Parking area unkempt, shady people hanging around outside. Did not feel like a safe environment. Beds were ok but not very comfortable. Arrived too late to switch hotels otherwise we definitely would have.

Timothy (2/5): - We visited Red Roof Inn in Murray on August 1st. The property appeared deserted but for a few cars. We checked the lobby and were greeted by a very kind and helpful young man. Our complaint is not with him, he was wonderful. He gave us our room keys. We get to the room, which is out of date and does not match the pictures on Expedia. Despite it being roughly 90° outside, the air unit was shut off, leaving us waiting for the room to cool off once we turned it on. It never even blew cold air after about 20 minutes of being in the room. When we sat our things on the bed, little baby roaches scattered across it. We of course left and were able to get a full refund but this place was terrible. Like... Needs to be torn down terrible.

James (4/5): I'm glad she graduated and we dont need to go back - We booked three rooms. One was to have a crib, no crib. One had a shopping bag tied over the smoke detector so whoever was in the room before didnt set it off. There was someones sock ledt in one of the rooms. One of the toilets wasnt fadtened down, at all. Rocked really bad when used. Not sure how water didnt run out from underneath it. Bathrooms all had glazed tiles. A little bit of humidity from the shower and it was flat out dangerous. All of the doors looked like they had been kicked in at some point with broken verticle members.

Amber (2/5): WORST STAY EVER - Our stay was awful! Worst one by far we have stayed at. The bed felt like you were sleeping on a piece of cardboard. The toilet literally rocked/moved when you sat down on it. There were holes in the door of the bathroom. There was a paper towel shoved into the peephole with something dripped all over the door. To top it all off the remote did not work the tv. I mean I understand that I asked for a smoking room because we smoke vapes but does that mean I have to lay my head down on literal trash? By far the worst ever.

Gabriel (6/5): Where 70's rock stars once partied! - It's an ancient Holiday Inn that sat empty for years and has been partially rehabbed into a Red Roof Inn. It's OK for a reasonably clean place to lay your head at night. Price is right. New carpet, TV, bath fixtures, etc. This old motel has housed many rock stars that performed at Murray State. Back in the 70's it was the only place in town. Van Halen, ELO, Journey, and many more have trashed that place and partied with students. Might have heard a few echoes.

They have mandatory cleaning and i work overnights, i told them this and they completely ignored my schedule and made me stay up until at least 1 pm everyday to clean my room. JEFFERY (4/5): Gross and uncomfortable - Our "non-smoking" room had a plastic bag wrapped around the smoke detector. There was a disgusting reddish brown splatter on the ceiling light in the bathroom from god knows what. And the bed was incredibly uncomfortable. Please spend a little more money and stay somewhere else.

Gary (4/5): - Despite being a non-smoking room, it reeked of stale smoke. I had to plug the TV into the lamp (shade was broken) only to discover that the bottoms on the TV didn't work and there was no remote. So the only thing I could watch was SpongeBob on high volume. The numerous repairs in the room were shabbily done, there was no security chain for the door, switch plates were missing, there was a open hole in the ceiling where a light once had been, etc. The property was run down. What had once been a breakfast area is now a storage area for broken AC units but it did have a bowl of plastic fruit displayed. Next time, I will spend more money and stay at a reasonably nice hotel.

Elizabeth (8/5): - Property was everything we needed it to be. AC never got as cold as it should’ve but it was tolerable. It was clean, we had fresh towels and garbage bags everyday which was nice, and it had a good mini fridge and microwave. Check in and checkout were also very quick and easy.
Glenda (8/5): Great staff, Work in progress. Clean QUIET! - Seems like almost all motels are under construction, which seems odd for this time of year. There are a lot of various property repairs to be made, but the room was clean and comfortable. The vestibule leading to the front office was like walking into a furnace. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and I hope they do well. Overall, the room with good value so willing to overlook some of the shortcomings I think with time and the money they need and the support from corporate they can have a very nice facility.
Wesley (2/5): - This stay was awful! They had bed bugs! One was crawling on my bf pant leg, we freaked out and put it in a ziplock bag and checked the bed and found a bunch more! Packed up and took the bag with the bug to the front desk and the lady and she said she hasn’t seen one there before, which was a lie because I should have read the reviews and seen they had multiple bed bug issues before! Very unpleasant to figure out after working 12 hours in the sun and just wanted to sleep! If my money isn’t refunded like she said it would be there will be legalities involved.

Not my first stay and probably won't be my last and I live less than 10 miles away. For the price, you can't beat the comfort, cleanliness and friendliness off staff. One of my best hotel experiences.
John (2/5): Not the right property for us - We sought this location because we were traveling with our dog, and Red Roof locations let pet’s stay free. The general look of the property was sketchy, and the room had a damaged door, loose and rocking toilet, and extremely uncomfortable beds. We wouldn’t recommend this location. One bright spot was the front desk staff, who worked quickly to get us checked in; and equally fast to cancel our stay after we saw the room. The hotel issued a full credit for our cancellation without penalty of fees. I appreciate her efforts to help us.
Verified traveler (4/5): Stay at your own peril - Room looked like it was from the 1980's and the air conditioner if you can call it that couldn't cool the room if it was the middle of winter.

Tanyika (2/5): Do not stay here - It looked abandoned and unsafe when I pulled up.. yes, I still went inside and no one was there. It was instructions to call a number which no one answered. I saw a note to use the desk phone and dial zero, someone answered at that time. The attendant was out trimming the hedges. I checked in hoping the room was up to my standards anybody’s standard lol .I went in and was disgusted.The carpet was gross, it smelled stale the bed was hard. The sheets were dingy and the towels were older than me. The light was strobing as it was on its way out. The overall appearance was very poor. I don’t understand how they are open. I left and found a different hotel. I came back to return the key and questionable folks were in the parking lot just hanging out ,loitering if you will… I didn’t know the attendant was out there with them until I called the number and she called out that she was coming. She knew that I was unhappy and she did confirm that I had cancelled this reservation. So, I thank her for that. I’d never heard of this Red Roof inn before but now I know what type of place this is. I will never make that mistake again

Plus when I booked the room I booked it 3nights but instead got told it was for 2 nights only. the place said an iron and iron board was in the room and there was none. Plus, the toilet was highly loose and the lighting in the room was very low and almost dark.

Patricia (8/5): Clean and comfortable - We have stayed here a few times. Always dependable to be clean and comfortable. No frills but a good price and convenient for our needs. Only drawback was a lukewarm shower on day one. Told the office and it was corrected when we returned later that day. They agreed to change rooms if it wasn’t fixable. We’re pretty easy going so it wasn’t the end of the world.
