Lights in bathroom out, plumbing fixtures literally pulled out of bath walls (water penetration into walls so mold must be present), room smelled!!! (Mine smelled like someone poured a bottle of mens cologne on carpet, another room had a strange floral smell. I have never had a hotel room smell like either of these smells. One elevator out all week. Breakfast was ok, pretty standard Hampton, nothing extra but staff did resupply quickly. And we did tell desk clerk about issues.

- U7964LRjennyc (2/5): Buyer Beware: Ripoff - This franchise is dishonest and does not honor rules setup in their bookings. During multiple attempts to discuss with the manager, the manager was always “in a meeting” or “not available”. Large amounts of time were wasted attempting to resolve an issue that was supposed to refund us for a stay that could not happen due to medically verified reasons. We will no longer stay at a Hampton Inn. Corporate is aware and was also unable to reach the manager. BUYER BEWARE - THIS FRANCHISE WILL RIP CUSTOMERS OFF AND TAKE NO ACCOUNTABILITY.

The inability to recover basic systems after the power outage is unacceptable. Management made no attempt to compensate for the first miserable night of a two night stay.

They found the accommodations very nice though one friend thought it was a little pricey for her. - traveling_jjs (10/5): Great overnight place to rest and recharge! - From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we were welcomed and greeted warmly! The stay couldn’t have been better. The room was clean and quiet, the bed was comfortable (pillows were too soft for my husband, but he travels with his own, so it wasn’t a problem), we both got great sleep! My husband blissfully described his morning shower as “just about perfect” (and he’s picky about his showers, lol). The bathroom was clean, there was plenty of hot water, linens and towels were fresh and clean, just a nice spacious room overall. Breakfast offered many options - from fresh fruit and yogurt to scrambled eggs, hard-boiled eggs, hash browns, sausage, warm biscuits and gravy, toast and oatmeal (with all the fixin’s) muffins, make your own waffles (along with stir-in chocolate chips or blueberries) 4 different kinds of juices, coffee (piping hot), tea, or ice water - everything was delicious! Checkout was easy and the front desk staff was friendly (specifically Jonathon and Raj) - we’d stay here again in a heartbeat (and I’m tough to impress, pretty picky about where I stay) - this was a wonderful place to stop!

- DHWDetroit (6/5): A very average visit - I stayed here at the recommendation of a colleague while in town for work. I am generally OK with Hampton Inn properties, but this location was pretty average. My room was a good size, but I had a few issues with it: - I found the lighting setup to be kind of weird. There was no centralized lighting - it was just a collection of lamps that lit up very small portions of the room. - I appreciate having a desk, which most hotels seem to have these days, but they often miss the mark on the seating…that was definitely the case with this room. The breakfast buffet had a pretty limited selection. One bright spot was the gym. It was very spacious and had a good range of equipment, although the 20 lb dumbbells were missing and there was no way to silence the TVs.

This property is not in the midst of anything, but it is a short drive to shopping and dining areas. The breakfast provided was so-so. Housekeeping did not occur daily; in years past, daily housekeeping was standard. I doubt that I will stay in a Hampton Inn any time soon. It's simply too pricey for the services provided.

- Jaime (10/5): Cincinnati Jazz fest 2025 - We chose this hotel because of the proximity to the festival. It was great for us, (over 45 folks). We didn’t want all the noise and action of downtown. We wanted peace and quiet and the ability to relax before and after the concert. The rooms are very spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and checked on us daily to make sure we were enjoying our staff. Breakfast was amazing. Many choices to choose from. In the past we stayed across the street and the Holiday Inn, but this hotel is our new “go to” when visiting the Cincinnati area.

- og-adventure-awaits (2/5): Stay FAR AWAY FROM HERE - I had to stay here as part of a tournament stay to play. This is the only way this hotel stays in business. We got here late due to the tournament getting postponed from rain. I was able to pick my room on the 4th floor which was nice. I never got my digital key. I asked for it over and over and was handed physical keys. I got to my room, was overcome by musty odor, but it’s summer and it had been raining. We got settled in. I went to close the blinds and my feet got wet. The floor was so wet there was rings of water around my toes and it is carpet. I just wanted to go to bed and decided to deal with it in the morning. The next day I went to the front desk and told them the problem. He wrote my room number down and said maintenance would be up. An hour went by and nothing happened. I went down to check to see when maintenance would be up. He told me again that they’d be up momentarily. Another hour went by. I called the Hilton hotline as clearly this was not a priority and there’s no way a cleaning crew missed this. After 5 minutes of waiting I finally got a live person. She told me she would take care of it by connecting me to the general manager. Next thing I know I’m talking to the front desk again and the woman on the helpline hung up. He said maintenance was on its way. When maintenance didn’t come, I went to the front desk and asked to switch rooms, but I wanted to see the room first so I knew I didn’t have more problems. Suddenly the “maintenance guy” came by. I was asked by front desk guy to explain the problem. I had made a video showing the problem. I was asked if I knew where the water was coming from. I explained no I wasn’t getting on my knees to find the problem with carpet sopping wet. He assured me he’d put me in front of all the other rooms and come up. After another hour he did. He came with a Bissell carpet cleaner. He vacuumed up all the water. The tank was full, called it good and left. The carpet was damp for the rest of my stay. The area was still unusable and I was unable to breathe. When I asked for some form of compensation for this horrible situation when I left, front desk guy said he’d ask his manager. We both knew nothing would be done. Kids got stuck in the elevator and firefighters had to get them out. Breakfast was tasteless unless you wanted a waffle. The owner of this franchise is not looking to make sure you feel like a valued customer. They know they have you when you have to stay. There’s nothing you can do.

They made one bed with only a fitted sheet, no top sheet. Only gave towels for 2 people when 3 people were on the reservation. The toilet didn't look as clean as it could be. We tried to check in around 8.30pm but they didn't have the room ready yet. They took 20min to clean the room on the spot and we had to wait in the lobby while they did that. They did a halfway job of cleaning the room. They were understaffed by a lot so everytime we needed something at the front desk, there were line ups of people all waiting as well. Sometimes had to wait 20min for a person to even return to the front desk. Since the phone didn't work, we had to walk down to front desk for each issue. Also had issues connecting to the wifi. They had to give us some other code to use since the regular way to connect wasn't working.

- dclmom34 (2/5): AVOID this Hotel! Keep driving! - I hate to write bad reviews, but AVOID this hotel. It needs some serious help, there are too many things wrong here. We had previously stated here a couple of years ago and had a great experience, but not this time. I had booked 3 rooms and each one had some pretty significant issues. Our room had stained carpets, the bathtub kept stopping up and the metal piece on the barn door kept flying off. They had no plates at the breakfast and the offerings were very slim. The front desk guy looked like he had been on shift for days, his clothes were unkept. He actually went outside and poured a pitcher of cold water over his head to stay awake. My parents had stains in the first room that looked like dog poop rubbed in. They switched to another one to find a huge hole in the wall where the thermostat was and their shower kept stopping up too. One elevator half worked. I could go on with more, but Hilton needs to cut ties with this property.

Just chalked it up as “some rooms had broken air conditioners and people had to switch rooms”. Wifi doesn’t work. Location is in the middle of nowhere.
- HillaryW135 (6/5): Dodgy wifi and gaslighting front desk clerk. - Attractive room. I tried connecting to wifi and got an alert that the connection was not secure, that someone had hacked the wifi. The guy at the desk tried to tell me it was because I didn't know how to connect and refused to believe me, even when I showed him the alert on my phone. So no wifi, which was bad because I was in town for work.

- travelgirl179 (6/5): Gone downhill - We stayed here in 2022, and had an excellent experience, so it was a no brainer when choosing hotels for our trip to the area. Except…it’s gone downhill significantly. It started when I chatted the app to see if we could check in early, which we had a backup plan if not, but I didn’t receive a response from a team member at the hotel until 4pm…when our room was ready. It would have been nice to know beforehand…when I had initially asked, but it’s fine. Entering the hotel lobby, it looked a little messy, the breakfast area was not cleaned up from breakfast and you could smell the trash still. There was also this overwhelming fragrance in the lobby and the elevator areas that clearly wasn’t clean room spray. It was like perfume that was being used as room spray? Either way, it wasn’t a great smell and was very overpowering and unpleasant. Our room was okay, upon first glance, it was mostly clean, but we noticed some sticky spots on the floor that had not been mopped up at the entrance. Our bathroom door also was misaligned, so it was not 100% on the track, so at any point, one of us got stuck in the bathroom and it was actually pretty difficult to open alone. We just ended up not fully closing the door in fear of one of us getting stuck in the middle of the night. Other members of our party had interesting experiences. One had to change rooms when they got there because it looked like there was bad stains on the floor. Front desk staff did change their room quickly though. We ended up skipping breakfast because other members of our party told us to, there were no plates at one point and the coffee was cold. When we were leaving, we went to go get ice from the ice maker and of course it was not working either. So that was a great start to our trip back home. We will not be coming back here again unfortunately.
- Barbara (10/5): - We stayed 4 nights on this trip. Our room was exactly as described online. The room was clean. We did not have any shampoo or conditioner and didn't realize that until the following morning when one of us took a shower. As soon as we mentioned it to the front desk, they supplied the missing items. Staff was courteous and helpful.
- Jenna (5/5): Passable - location and the staff at check in the deposit that was not mentioned on the site. the room that the CSR gave us a roommm that wasn't clean. Soaps in the dispenser were empty.
- Williams (3/5): This was not typical of a Hampton Inn. - I liked the location relevant to my destination. The bed was comfortable, and temperature was good in the room. I booked four rooms for a work event. Three of us got there first and they were checked in and good. When I arrived, the guy at the front counter said that I had already checked in, which was obviously incorrect. I gave him the print out of the receipt showing I booked four rooms and he said since I didn't check in with the rest, the system cancelled the fourth room. This makes no sense. This was a business trip and all was paid with a business credit card. I had to pay for the fourth room with my personal card and $50 incidentals. He says that Booking.com will refund the fourth room. He was very hard to understand because he did not speak good English. He acted quite confused about the whole situation. My credit card statement shows a $149 charge then refund, then a $199 charge. I saw no refund for the $50. Check Out was no better. The front desk guy said he couldn't print a receipt because I paid through Booking.com. I said no I paid with my card for one room and we went round and round again. Finally got a receipt so I can get reimbursed. In one of the rooms, there was black mold in the shower, and one of the beds was not made upon check in. I have stayed in many Hampton Inns, but this was the worst. The breakfast was pitiful. No muffins, bagels, toast, orange juice, or waffles. They had dry cereal. Luckily the training center that we were going to provided breakfast. I have a reservation for June for the same training, but I will be cancelling it with this hotel.

- Klaproth (4/5): Avoid this place! Overpriced and under maintained! - We book Hampton Inns often- although they are a bit pricey, they are dependable, and usually pretty nice. This property is an exception. We should have been suspicious when the front desk clerk did not speak English very well. I see why they offer pre-check in from an app now! When we got to our room, we were pretty disappointed- it had not been cleaned very well, and was VERY poorly maintained. The thermostat was hanging out of the wall ( see picture), the air conditioning unit had been taken apart, and was still apart, and was not operational. The toilet had not been cleaned, and it showed. The tub spout was loose and will eventually fall off. Breakfast was disappointing as well, with lots of outages, cold eggs, and not a very clean breakfast area. Avoid this overpriced dump!

- Kimberly (8/5): - Room was clean. Staff was polite. The only thing that I would say that was a negative…the cologne the front desk staff was wearing was extremely obnoxious. I’m not a scent-sensitive person, but this was overbearing and overpowering.

- Liberty (4/5): - The room they put is in smelked strongly of urine and had a big yellow strain in the middle of the carpet. We were surprised they would even open such a room to a guest. They did relocate us to another room next door which was better but also not up to the standard of cleanliness I would expect for a Hilton property.
- Patrick (5/5): Passable - Clean modern Do not stay on the first floor. Very loud. Breakfast was average at best, bed was almost comfortable.
- Tracy (4/5): - When I got to my room, I noticed a large stain on the carpet, and the carpet was wet. I assume housekeeping cleaned the carpet, but it had not completely dried, nor removed the stain. There were orange colored marks on the wallpaper by the toilet, and also on one couch cushion. The TV was not working so I contacted the front desk, but no one came to assist. The room was near the elevator, and very noisy from people yelling in the hallway. I will never stay here again.

- Karen (10/5): - We LOVE Hampton Blue Ash!! We travel from South Dakota with Brandon Valley Indoor Percussion and will never run out of good things to say about the facility and staff. See you next year!
- Alvin (6/5): - During check-in I was asked by the clerk if they could change my room. I agreed to change. Once I entered the room I found a roller paint tray on bathroom counter, a dirty toilet, and a non-functioning heating and cooling unit. This room clearly had not been inspected, and all I got from the clerk was, sorry I will inform management

- lkO3756EP (10/5): Totally upgraded - This hotel has been completely redone. It is bright and clean and new. Beds, pillows and rooms are comfortable. Coffee was surprisingly good although it’s not always hot. And you can’t tell kitchen staff because she doesn’t speak English. Speaking of staff, all were friendly and accommodating. The fitness room has a good selection of equipment but not all machines were working. I didn’t lower my rating because I believe they are working on this room which also needs sanitizing wipes and water. Again, I could see they were working on it while we were there. We will definitely stay at Hampton Blue Ash again.
