Guest Reviews
- Christian (7/5): - Günstig für eine Nacht, sauber, nah an I40 und Route 66 gelegen Kein Frühstück
- Linda (9/5): -
- Shawna (1/5): - We didn't stay. We pulled into the parking lot and left. It did not look safe.
- Witold (10/5): - Very clean place, good location. Very good value for money.
- Ralf (4/5): - Für den Preis kann man offensichtlich nicht mehr erwarten. Bad war schmutzig. Auf der Fliesen Oberkante konnte man getrost etwas säen. ( Radieschen oder anderes Gemüse). Teppich abgeranzt.
- Sherri (8/5): -
- Ellen (7/5): Sufficient for one night - Clean and good sized room Location was just ok.
- Erik (3/5): Dated, bare minimum experience. - Close to gas & freeway. No internet. TV cut in and out, basically unwatchable. TV was very small too. Looked like a motel from the 70's.
- Kevin Felix (10/5): Es lohn sich hier anzuhalten - Freundlich Inhabergeführtes Motel Der TV sollte man ersetzen
- Knapp (9/5): Hidden value behind an aging exterior - Great value. Right off the route.
The room was not a reflection of the exterior; it was very comfortable, smelled nice, and was very clean. It is an older facility, but the room was comfortable and well kept.
It is hidden behind a larger budget hotel, and looks worse for wear at a glance from the outside.
But it was a nice room.
- Hampton Mills (10/5): Comfortable and clean -
- Theresa (8/5): Für eine Nacht gut - Sehr nette Inhaber, gut gelegen aber in der Nähe vom Highway. Geräumiges Zimmer Dusche leider schwierig zu bedienen, Eismaschine kaputt.
- Karen (10/5): - Affordable, clean and roomy.
- Lila (10/5): - Bed was comy, room was very clean and quite, shower had plenty of hot water
- Greta (9/5): pleasantly surprised by quality of room and stay for the price. - room decor and amenities parking lot, signage from main road
- Hampton Mills (9/5): Great price, quiet, clean beautiful room inside - The boy was very, room was clean, lighting was good, didn't hear any traffic and we were next to I-40. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks When 1st arriving a little difficult finding it but was glad we did. Wasn't flashy looking but when you got in room, it was awesome. So, Don't always judge a book by it's cover. A little rough looking outside around area, But we felt safe.
- Don (8/5): Pleasant place to stay - Location was a bit hidden behind another motel, but the staff were friendly and the room was clean and comfortable, and had a refrigerator and microwave. Good water pressure. Some minor issues - the TV did not work (bad connection), but I got in late and was just there to sleep, two of the pillows were too thick for sleeping comfortably, and the other was a bit thin but worked, and the door was missing a bit of insulation, although it wasn't bothersome.
- Uhha (8/5): -
- Luke (7/5): Pleasant for a flying visit - Good friendly staff, lovely owner. Close to a sports bar and food. Slightly noise from upstairs, maybe request an upper floor room.
- David (5/5): Barely ok. - Clean, bed was comfortable. Small tv, limited stations. Scratchy towels
- Jennie Lee (8/5): -
- Cecil (8/5): - The location is good and right near I40. For the price it was a comfortable stay. Elk City is not to large, so it's easy to get to restaurants or the Route 66 museum.
- Doug (8/5): -
- Carpenter (9/5): -
- Ralph (8/5): Worth the money - Price was great. Facility was decent Isolated
- Brian (5/5): It was just ok. - It was close to the highway, a gas station, and McDonalds. It was easy to find. The sign was tore up. The ice machine didn't work. It looked a bit dirty but it was night when we got there and when we left. The shower head is very low.
- Nick (8/5): - We have been on a cross country road trip and have mainly been camping. We have been hitting hotels along Route 66. This did its job. Warm shower and a bed. The sheets and towels all had stains. There was hair on the sheets that wasn’t ours when we pulled back the covers. The room never really cooled down with the ac unit in the room but it’s was cool enough to sleep in. It was easy and the aesthetic was cool.
- Angela (8/5): -
- Melvin (9/5): Superb -
- Gray (10/5): Exceptional -
- Schaub (9/5): Superb -
- Wortman (9/5): We would stay there again. - Comfortable, affordable and good location.
- William (7/5): Adequate - Location for my needs was good and it was only a place to sleep but if i was traveling with friends I may no chose this location. Price and convenience close to the highway
- Sandra (8/5): Clean neat easy access -
- Brown (7/5): Good - The people here are great
- jay (8/5): Extremely satisfied. - First time staying here. We will return again.
- Arjinder (6/5): - Nothing !
- Nelson (9/5): Superb - Excellent location, very clean, and very affordable. Plus hotel has truck parking! Nothing.
- Denise (8/5): Fair price and reasonable pet fee. - The front desk was friendly and helpful. The room was older, but very clean and practical. It had a microwave and a larger dorm sized refrigerator and good TV. The cost was fair and I appreciated the reasonable pet fee. My only suggestion is to leave a couple more towels in the room and while the air conditioner worked, the temperature was not really adjustable.
- Livia (8/5): Very good - It was a great stop on our trip for a really good price. Considering the price of the room, I don't have what to complain about.
- Meranda (10/5): - Very quiet and nice staff
- Gylinda (10/5): Such a great place! - Awesome. Worth every penny! Quite, clean.. May be off the beaten path. Its a gem! Its a nice surprise. Great owners, very helpful and welcoming when we returned a second time. Will return every time we visit No breakfast..
- Boyd (10/5): - The Bedford Inn is a nice old style motel on historic route 66. I always look for opportunities to support these “mom and pop” facilities.
- Barbara (9/5): Superb -
- Shakina (1/5): Bad - That it was close to the interstate The card wouldn't open door had to get a different room and the television didn't even work the heat didn't work hardly at all and the room was dirty and smelled rly bad 😤
- Jessica (3/5): Poor -
- Amanda (9/5): Superb -
- Gary (10/5): - It was great.
- Janett De La (10/5): - It was a good decent hidden gem!
- Debbie (10/5): Bedford Inn - Nice place to stay.
- Debbie (10/5): Bedford review - Bed was a little firmer than I like but other than that the stay was good.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean rooms good cable , safe and well lit.
- Susan (8/5): - Very adequate and quiet.
- Kofi (10/5): - Great
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good location, good price, clean room and good parking.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Cigarette burns all over the bedspread, in a non-smoking room. The bed was hard as a rock, and I like a firm mattress, but this was crazy hard.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Friendly and helpful office staff---Internet is good---good price---clean room---easy access to I-40
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Friendly front staff...convenient to I-40...good value for the price
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It is a shame that the inn is hidden. It has huge rooms very good bed. Very nice
- ian (8/5): Cool - Dated building but maintained well. Clean and friendly. Had a great sleep bed was good. No bugs.
Would stay there again.
- Brandon (6/5): DON'T DO IT - The rooms are out dated and the floors was very nasty and the heat in the room didn't work it blew out cold air. told the person upfront and all they did was laugh and so there is covers in there.
- Susan (6/5): - There were no directions to the ally it was on. Staff not friendly. There were nothing special about it. It was cheap
- Dale (4/5): $40/ night - The hotel was hard to find. Our nonsmoking room smelled like smoke, there were cigarette burns on the blanket, there was a recliner in the room that didn’t recline. There was only one other guest at the hotel, the rooms were $40/night. I guess I only have myself to blame. At 9:30AM the hotel lobby and office was still locked
- Cheryl (8/5): - The bed was very comfortable, and it was nice to have a refrigerator and microwave. The room could’ve been a little brighter with light, but otherwise we enjoyed our stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice area, nice people, very quiet. All necessities nearby.
- Sydney (6/5): - No breakfast like it is advertised. Sheets all had stains on them like oil type stains. Dead bugs all in the corners of the rooms. I understand bugs come but you should keep it cleaned. If nobody stayed in there you should still go and vacuum! Vents are dirty. It was SO HOT during the day. I had to buy a box fan. I guess you get what you pay for but I would’ve rather spent $15 more dollars for a better room elsewhere. Won’t be back
- Kris (8/5): - Decent hotel, decent price. Allowed late check-out.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I was just there to sleep and leave early the next morning so perfect out for that. If you want to cheap motel definitely stay here.
- Debbie (8/5): - This was a nice place to stay for the cost. Nothing fancy, but the flooring looked brand new and everything was clean. It is located behind a Days Inn and is kind of hidden and is very quiet. Close to gas station and various places to eat. I would stay here again.
- Nebeth (8/5): - Looks a little sketchy from the outside, but was a nice room and nice place to stay overnight in the area.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Real clean stay receptionist or owner were very kind n helpfull
- Bgreenard (8/5): Recommended for a Place to Lay your Head - Looking for a flop for the night, I stopped at the Bedford Inn based on past reviews. It is located behind another motel which was a bit confusion on which property was which but I figured it out! During check in I met a pleasant family who owned the Bedford but some reviews stated it was veteran owned, no biggie. My room though dated but clean and neat. Easy parking an inexpensive. Recommended for a place to lay your head.
- Nancy L (8/5): Clean comfortable, quiet. - Clean comfortable, quiet. Not crazy about the pillows. Loved the easy chair in the room. Lacking receptacles to charge electronics. Had to unplug the clock to have enough. Good service, No breakfast, but the low price made up for it. Wildfires raging near by. Not within sight, but the whole town smelled of smoke.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Had a hard time checking in. Killed bugs in my room.
- Dr. Kody (6/5): Area can look deceiving. - Quick, Clean, Convenient close to gas, food, I-40
- Frankeith (10/5): What a great surprise - The place looks humble enough from the outside to raise some concerns, given past experiences we have had with similar locations, but once we were checked in and entered the room, wow, what a surprise! a room like this located in a more "likeable" location would be twice or three times the price we paid!
The bed was firm but comfortable, plenty of space to move around, the heater took a bit longer than I would have hoped for but it did its job, the bathroom was clean and equipped with everything. Loading and unloading the car was extremely easy as we could park right off our door on the ground floor. Our overall short experience with this place has been very positive and would highly recommend it if you need a nice place to stay and refresh in the area.
There are also plenty of places to eat just across the street.
The hotel is located right behind the Motel 6 and you will have to drive through what appears to be the Motel 6 parking lot to access it, it can be a bit confusing to find it from the main road as it is sort of hiding behind it.
Check in was fast and friendly, just what we needed after 7 hours of drive!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - In their website they say that there is continental breakfast. TERE IS NO BREAKFAST OF ANY SORT. AND THERE IS NO COFFEE IN THE ROOM EITHER. IN FACT NO COFFEE ON ENTIRE PROPERTY. OFFICE WAS NOT EVEN OPEN WHEN WE CHECKED OUT AT 7 A.M.
- Jim (8/5): Bedford Inn is a winner with the right price. - Nice motel in small-town high plains Oklahoma city. Convenient location, just off I-40. Rooms have been remodeled recently, and are in good shape. Nice carpet and fixtures. Bed was comfortable except for the huge pillows. I prefer smaller pillows, just my personal preference, so no points off for the Bedford Inn. Very helpful manager/owner. Overall, a great stop along I-40.
- MichaelABQ (8/5): A jewel lost in the path of people traveling on Interstate 40. - The story of this motel is that it was bought by a Vietnam Vet and he owned it until his health/age began to get the best of him.
Just this year, this family purchased it from him with the promise that they would keep it reasonable. `
Wow, I stole a night's sleep. what do I mean? I came across a motel that at $60 a night but last night I got it for a steal at $39 plus tax.
The room as you will see in the pictures has two lamps and a wall light at the entrance the mattress was firm something that I did not have at twice the price. Again, as you can see--it has a place for your hanging clothes and under it is a padded bench for your suitcase. It came with a dorm size refrigerator and microwave. This room has a 32 inch TV with plenty of channels to choose from. Off to the right of the TV is a desk with a padded office chair. Besides the office chair, it has two living room style chairs. For some, the most important item is that it has internet.
Are you sitting down? How many motel rooms or even hotel rooms have heaters these days? This one does. It was so nice to take a hot bath and not freeze. I have health problems and the comfort of being able to relax my joints was great. The sink faucet was one that I've never seen at even the most expensive motel or hotel rooms that I've been in.
If you look back on my reviews you will see a room that had holes in the wall and cabinets with holes there too. As you can see this room was done right, right down to the carpeting in the main room and the tile in the bathroom. Well done to the owners of Bedford Inn.
Now that I found this gem I'll be back on the way home.
If you have some time and the owner is not busy, have him tell you about the driveway to the motel, It is a story of David and the giant. The owners are good, God-fearing people.
- hikerdean (6/5): Just OK in OK - Nothing exceptional. Room was clean- a bit outdated. No coffee in room or office although they did have a bottle of complimentary bottle of water in room. Interstate traffic noise. I would rate Bedford Inn just OK inOK.
- Cody (8/5): Clean , good price - Needed a place to sleep and it was clean well priced and close to the freeway
- 697tiffanyn (10/5): Great Place Friendly Face - Really nice place close to a few shopping centers and restaurants. We love staying here because everyone is so friendly and make you feel at home. The rooms are nice and cozy. Rates are wonderful, and they are pet friendly. Love love this place
- Adrian (10/5): Pleasantly Suprised! - Great place! Seems newly updated. Room was clean. Outside looked decent but inside was way better. Good bed and pillows. Very good stay for the price!
- John (8/5): Easy - Very comfortable bed, no breakfast but there is a diner accross the parking lot with a cute attentive waitress. Everything was great except for 2 minor things: The walls are thin and I could hear our neighbor rubbing against the wall in the next room as he climbed into bed. Also the water pressure in the sink was very low, even though the shower was strong!
- Verified traveler (8/5): 2nd Visit - We stayed here last weekend. We requested the same room so we'd know what to expect. Again, it's not a Marriott like we are use to staying at, but we slept well and didn't have any problems. It was good enough for coming to town for work. Just needed a bed, shower and a good AC.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good Value - The guy at the desk was very friendly and informative. As far as the room, we are use to staying at Marriott hotels, so this was WAY different for us. If you like a really firm bed and firm pillows you'll sleep comfortably. We like our beds softer, but we did sleep. It was quiet. The AC worked AMAZING!!! Make sure to bring your own shampoo and conditioner, their package barely have any in them. So come prepared or stop at Walmart. The road that our Apple Maps told us to turn down was confusing. You can turn behind the gas station in the parking lot and drive behind another hotel to get to it. We took a chance staying here. All the hotels were full due to the tornado. We would stay there again if we needed to, it's not fancy, but we slept and it felt safe.
- Maria (6/5): Good for one night stay - Price and comfort just fine for one night stay. Staff friendly. Hard to find at night time as it us behind another chain hotel .
- Allison (4/5): Friendly Staff, super uncomfortable room - I feel bad for writing a poor review because the owners were SO nice. They were so interested in where we were coming from (Virginia) and where we were going. They were so helpful in finding things to do in Amarillo, Tx. The room condition was extremely poor as they have not updated nor fix anything in years. The shower was falling apart, the ceiling was super bubbled and falling into the bathtub, there was holes in the walls, the vent was right above the shower head, the shower head was 5 ft tall. I'm 5'7 and it was painful to shower as i had to crouch down. The towels had spots on them. The clothes rack was falling off the wall, if i were to hang one item up there...it probably would have fell down. There was not much safety, there was just a door lock, not a dead bolt...so had to put the chair in front of the door. The bed was hard as a rock, not even exaggerating. I did not get much sleep that night because of that. The area did not seem too safe, as people were roaming around at midnight. This hotel is right next to the interstate so all we heard were motorcycles and trucks all night it seemed. I would try finding somewhere else to stay.
- cowgirl (8/5): Very sweet, quiet, clean. - Very kind and present owners. The room was large and clean.
- TerryD1234 (10/5): Excellent Customer Service & Quality Room - It was very cold, rainy and a bad day for traveling when we checked into the Bedford Inn. Only there out due to a funeral. We called ahead and made reservations. The Owner was so very courteous and bent over backwards to make our stay comfortable. The room was toasty when we arrived, the covers were folded down, our keys and everything was waiting. We spent maybe 2 minutes at the front desk before we were relaxing in our room. The Inn had everything we needed, was very clean and comfortable. The Inn was quiet and just off interstate so was in an excellent location with easy access in and out. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE and a very nice place to stay. Will definitely recommend it to all my friends and family and will stay here again the next time we are in Elk City, OK.
- Harry (8/5): Quiet place - Fine for traveling through. Quiet with small refrigerator and microwave plus wifi for a reasonable price.
- robinrhoffer (10/5): Love staying here. Clean, pet friendly, extremely friendly and curious. I've stayed here weekly for over six months. - If you're looking for a reasonable rate... Pet friendly... Kind and friendly service... This is the place for you. I've been coming here weekly, for well over six months. My two dogs and I, absolutely enjoy our quiet stay here. I highly recommend Bedford Inn.
- Daniel (8/5): Convenient - Good place to stay for traveling. Close to freeway and a great cafe next door. Gas station there too and very quiet area.
- Kenneth (8/5): - Very nice clean room.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Satisfactory for quick stay - The room was clean and odor free; beds comfortable; bathroom small but functional. No complaints. The breakfast "menu" was basic, mostly waffles, cereal.
- Geraldine (8/5): - Pleasantly surprised by the room. Clean room, comfortable bed. Only glitch was getting locked into the room. They had to unlock me from the outside. It was quiet, I had a good nights' sleep. Friendly front desk. Would recommend to friends and family.
- Evelyn (6/5): Passable - Difficult to find.
- Eldridge (8/5): Great hotel terrible food - Hotel was really nice but the food was terrible and tasteless and. Wet pricey
- W2461WAjonathanr (4/5): Don't believe the limited rooms availability - The hotel claimed "only four rooms available" when in fact the opposite was.
There was no U-shaped lock \ chain lock on door. Had to resort in propping a chair under the door handle for added security.
- cathynandyj (6/5): Not bad for an overnight stay - For a budget hotel it wasnt bad ..was clean ..had everything we needed...microwave and fridge ...a/c worked really well..bathroom small but serves its purpose ..decor not the best but who cares ..doesnt make it a bad place ..its tucked in behind the Days Inn ..access between the service station and Days Inn ...a $50 well spent ..wifi was reasonable .
