Guest Reviews
- courtney (10/5): Came in for a horse show - we will stay agin - Convenience to downtown and to the horse park NA
- Jane (8/5): - Location and responsiveness!
- William (10/5): Great location in a beautiful renovated building - Beautiful building in a great location The parking is sketchy
- Abigail (9/5): Very quiet and secure room and building. Would stay here again. - Easy access, clean and felt safe N/A
- Patricia (9/5): Have stayed here a few times and appreciate the awesome location - Location- parking and cleanliness of the room No windows
- Carol (8/5): A great option for Culpeper at a good price. But some surprising gaps. - Seating area and kitchenette were excellent. Zero noise or sounds traveled from room to room. No door on the bedroom closet. Only one vent in the windowless bedroom. Bedroom: a single chair in the corner that looked like a castoff from a Ramada inn conference center. A bench? A real chair with a floor lamp? Nope. None of the light fixtures in the suite offered a charging outlet for a cable. Security issues: the deadbolt could not be closed into the doorframe, and the exterior door code is easily guessed and likely changed once a year. Ice machine is designed for a small office. Doesn’t make enough ice to fill a single bucket, let alone accommodate multiple guests.
- Shelby (10/5): - I think the common room is so perfect. Comfy couch and enough seating to hang out with a friend or two. Great location. The comforters are a bit hot overnight since there’s no fan in the room but not a dealbreaker.
- Jason (10/5): It was fantastic and we loved it - Great location, easy access The shortened glass door of the shower made the bathroom floor wet no matter how hard I tried to avoid it
- Linda (9/5): - Very roomy and clean. No staff on site made it difficult if any problems should have risen.
- Kevin (9/5): -
- William (10/5): - Location was great. Facility was very nice and it was spacious. There was no designated parking and there was no place to park o Saturday night.
- VASILY (9/5): -
- Rhonda (10/5): - Large beautiful accommodations with lots of shopping and eateries within walking distance.
- Kristen (9/5): -
- Christian (9/5): Surpassed expectations! - Such a beautiful and modern looking room. I didn’t expect too much out of this place when I booked it however it completely surpassed my expectations and was a wonderful stay! It was great, I’d say just the fact that there’s no window but it didn’t effect the overall stay
- Trish (1/5): Terrible customer service. No response. - We didn't get to stay as we never received check in codes or details even though I sent multiple emails and called before the 5pm deadline.
I was given a room code over the phone but they neglected to tell us we also needed a code to enter the building.
At 7pm we were left trying to get in while talking to booking.com trying to work out next steps.
Eventually the booking was cancelled for us and we were left to find alternative accommodation.
- Patricia (7/5): Overall great visit and location! Will be back - Location and hotel room layout Pricing no window
- Brian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kent (10/5): Ate, slept and showered - Carpet Never found the ice machine
- Micah (9/5): Superb -
- Christopher (4/5): - The room looked nice, but very cheap. Outlets wouldn't hold plugs, shower handle broken, TV wouldn't work. Management could not even be bothered to respond to email or phone call telling them about the issue. Absolutely would not stay here again.
- Ralph (9/5): A near miss on this one because of the attendant-less facility. Yikes! - The suite was exceptionally well-appointed. The directions for entering the building were unclear. We parked near the property and looked for the entrance. A restaurant below Culpeper Center Suites was being renovated. We went into the Frost Cafe on the corner and Bobi said she thought the Center Suites had been sold. She added that she used to work for the owners and offered to show us the entrance to the elevator to reach the 2nd floor. We entered the building access code and used the elevator to reach the 2nd floor. Upon reaching Room #7, we entered the six-digit room code four to five times. Exasperated a gentlemen (who spoke no English) offered to help. We again entered the code (transmitted by email and text) without success. He called someone who put us on hold and, after five minutes said the code we were given was incorrect, should be 309XXX instead of 369XXX. Had the maintenance man, who lived with his family on the 2nd floor, not come along, we would have been heading down the road. Fortunate that we got into the suite as it was very well done . . . very comfortable, and we enjoyed a superb breakfast the following morn at the Frost Cafe. Staff at the cafe said people are always confused trying to find the entrance to Culpeper Center Suites.
- Cindy (8/5): Very good - Very nice room!
- Stephen (10/5): Had a beautiful day at nearby winery and enjoyed an evening out in Culpepper. - Beautifully decorated and very clean! Close walking distance to restaurants and shops.
- Kitty (9/5): Spacious, clean and in a good location - Location and condition of property. Also that weit had a separate bedroom.
- Lisa (10/5): Terrific - Everything was perfect. Great location within walking distance of many restaurants and bars. Easy access, comfortable bed and living space. I accidentally locked my phone in our room with all our info on it, most importantly our code to get back into the room. I couldn't even get into my email on my husbands phone because it sent a security text to my phone. Low and behold, there was a card on one of the tables with the email and phone number of management. They got back to us in just a few minutes and sent the code and all the info we needed. Probably quicker of just as quick as if we had lost a key at a larger hotel and had to go to the lobby to get it. We will happily return again! Soap products didn't have a lot of lather is the only comment I can make that would be less than perfect.
- Peggy (10/5): We enjoyed our stay and we plan to stay there again in the future. - Rooms were very nice and comfortable. Great location. Very impressed.
- Dan (10/5): Great hotel…convienent to everything ♥️ - We were visiting our niece who was running a dog show in Jeffersonton. Didn’t find anything there…we had a great time in Culpepper…hotel was very convenient to everything we needed and was a great small town. Great…just great.
- Findling (9/5): Superb -
- Patricia (8/5): Very good -
- Verified traveler (4/5): Culpeper stay - I was not happy that our room did not have a window! We called the hotel to see if we could switch to a room with a window, but because we rented through a third party(Hotels.com) they couldn't help us.Goodbye Culpeper hotel and goodbye Hotels.com.
- John (1/5): I would be afraid to stay again due to the elevator! - The elevator was not working properly and we were unable to get to our rooms because no one had given us the code to the back door! The elevator was not working both days we were guests! After calling the phone number on the front door we were given the back door code and needed to walk up the steps. It was a very uncomfortable feeling being stranded in the lobby! Otherwise, it was a nice hotel!
- Charles (10/5): - Beautiful stay, very clean. Upstanding stay
- Andrew (9/5): Superb -
- Lindsay (10/5): - Property is very nice. Very modern. Very conveniently located in downtown area. No on site parking but many of the surrounding lots are free in evenings and on weekends. I was reluctant of the “no concierge” idea but honestly didn’t experience any problems.
- Sydney (10/5): - Overall was a great stay!
- Cook (3/5): It was a nightmare checking in and out. - Room decor was excellently designed The entire check in, and check out experience was not handled by people. The ownership chose to rely on Artificial Intelligence (AI) instead, which was impersonal and highly flawed. I was locked out of my room and the hotel twice. If this is the future, I want nothing to do with it.
- Richard (5/5): It was a nice quiet room. Having no windows was something different, but not an issue. - I didn’t have breakfast. If it was offered, I didn’t know about it. The elevator didn’t work. If it hadn’t been for a full time resident that I met, I would have been locked out. On the shower, I pulled the knob to get water from the shower head and nothing happened, so I ended up using the hand held.
- Hamer (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kent (10/5): Very nice - Location is perfect, very hip, felt right at home Lame douche bag anti trump protest nearby. Bunch of fat hippie baby boomers mad that their 401k isn’t as important as their kids and grandkids being able to get a job.
- Ernest (10/5): The location was great! Checkin was excellent!! The room was clean and beautiful set up! Love my stay! - Loved the walk in shower! N/a
- Jennifer (10/5): - Nice comfy room with plenty to do within walking distance. Parking was very easy. Easy no contact entry
- Dominique (9/5): Superb - Very comfortable bed and pillows The smell of cleaning supplies. Fragrance free products would be better
- James (9/5): A great location - right in the center of Culpeper. Our room was perfect for a one night stay; clean, comfortable and s -
- Gary (8/5): I still like staying here but my wife did not. I will stay again when I travel without the wife. - I like being downtown.
The size of the rooms are great. Hard to find parking during the afternoon and evenings.
The view from room is bad. I had the blinds pulled down during my entire stay and I paid extra for it???
I didn’t like the small size of the tv.
- Elizabeth (6/5): - Very odd. No window and dated decor. Clean. Fine for one night stay.
- Ronica (10/5): Exceeded Expectations. - Very beautiful space. We planned a Staycation that turned out to be beautiful after eating at Flavor On Main. N/A
- Rebecca (10/5): - Great property in a perfect location. Very clean, spacious, and comfortable.
- Ramona (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carol (10/5): - Property is easy in and out. It's quiet and clean with easy access to downtown Culpeper. Everything was walkable. Only drawback is the limited parking on farmer's market days. Overall an excellent place to stay.
- Mary (10/5): - Clean, big rooms,
- Brandon-Lee (8/5): - Overall it is exactly what I needed for something close to the train station. Very cute area, very spacious room. The bed is very firm and the pillows leave a lot to be desired but overall I'm happy and will likely come back next time I need to stay in Culpeper.
- Laura (10/5): Great little hotel in Culpeper, very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend! - Centrally located, very clean, bed was super comfy Not a thing!
- Carole (10/5): - Room was comfortable and was convenient to downtown Culpeper restraurants and shops.
- Taryn (9/5): Superb - Room was very nice, very clean. Great location, right in the center of town.
- Hilary (10/5): Outstanding - This is a gem in Culpepper. This hotel is amazing, clean, the rooms are spacious, and well decorated. The entry with the code was effortless, and the communication from the management staff was very effective. I will definitely be back for a longer stay. Nothing
- Juliet (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mary (10/5): - Love the beds very comfortable and it’s always very very clean!
- Joe (10/5): - Super unique spot
- Kerry (10/5): Culpeper - Beautiful place, easy to navigate and suited our need for a one night stay since we were in town for a wedding. The room was neat and tidy and well decorated.
- Teri-gene (9/5): Superb -
- Ellen (10/5): A joyous get away weekend, grounded in the luxuriously comfortable, perfectly located guest house. - The room was beautiful, and comfortable. Bed and shower are both terrific! Fantastic amenities (coffee/frig) and wonderful real (not paper) coffee cups and glasses. (Plastic and paper cups in hotels is my pet peeve!) Great bath towels as well. I was quit dubious about the no-personal-contact with the management team, but the digital connections worked seamlessly and hotel management was very responsive. I think everything was just perfect!
- Sally (10/5): Oasis - It was like a beautiful oasis. Very comfortable and clean. We loved the privacy and easy walk ability to downtown Culpeper.
- Marie (9/5): Great place would definitely recommend it - Location, lots of space, great shower, fluffy towels & comfy bed. Parking
- Timothy (9/5): Superb -
- Jeffrey (10/5): - There is no check-in counter - you get check in info via a text. Seemed a bit sketch (particularly after I convinced two sets of relatives to also book there) - but it was great. Very clean, very quiet, each room nice but a little different from each other. I'd definitely stay again, if I need to go to Culpeper. There are also a truly surprising number of cool shops and restaurants in Culpeper, including Indian, French and Thai. So enjoy!
- Brian (10/5): Exceptional - Clean, comfortable, and nicely set up
- Beth (8/5): - It would have been nice to have an extra blanket in the room because one of us wanted to sleep on the couch.
- David (10/5): Exceptional - Central location. Convenient to restaurants
- Oscar (10/5): Exceptional - Clean, comfortable, great location in main st Nothing
- Maria (9/5): Superb - One of the best place I stayed. Keep it up! The number 4 room we stayed has no window. It feels not so safe to stay.
- John (10/5): Super impressed. - Very impressed with everything. A super getaway and the wife lived the room. N/A
- George (9/5): Would do again - Convenient mid point on a long roadtrip. Wanted an easy access to restaurant. Easy self check-in.
- Jose (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing place, very private and comfortable , 99% perfection just needed a microwave
- Candance (10/5): Happy Traveler - I loved the no contact. The codes to get in the building and the room was great and the room...OMG..Amazing
- Janet (9/5): Superb -
- Teneka (1/5): Bad -
- Mary (10/5): - Very clean nice space excellent location
- TRB815 (10/5): Awesome - This place is awesome! I stayed in room 7 and the accommodations were better than described. They do not have private parking but street/public parking is easy. The suite was super clean and I will definitely stay there again.
- Brian (9/5): Superb and comfortable accommodations in a great location! -
- Michael (10/5): - All good.
- Arthur (10/5): Here for a party, walking distance to venue - Location Nothing
- Michael (10/5): - Beautiful property, spacious suite, perfect location, and walkable to great shops and restaurants!
- Bonnie (10/5): - Very familiar with Culpeper. Just like the privacy, location.
- Joanna (10/5): - Great location right in the heart of Culpeper with easy access to lots of great restaurants and shops. It's easy to get in and out, and the windowless room is perfect for deep sleeping. The modern amenities are lovely and the extra touches (Keurig, two sinks, lights that dim) are great.
- Kim (10/5): Will definitely be back! - Would have loved a king sized bed. Everything was really nice and clean! Very art deco :) The water was warm in the shower, but without a curtain- my shower was not as enjoyable as it could have been.
- Verified traveler (10/5): No windows - Comfort of the bed and wine glasses. Cleanliness and brightness (even though room had no windows), thank you for the nightlights.
- Mary (10/5): - Great location right in old town Culpeper. Check-in was easy, the room was large, very clean and well-stocked. Great value, I will definitely stay again.
- Gray (8/5): Love the facility but get a room with a view. - I loved how convenient it was to downtown Culpeper and all the shops, restuarants and breweries. The only thing I did not like is that our room did not have a window or view. All thought legally all rooms should have a window of some sort. If I would have known that I would have booked a different room as there where plenty of rooms with a view available.
- BRANDON (10/5): Easy to check in/out - This was my first time using a concierge-less location, unless u count Airbnb stays, but that’s different. To have everything sent to me prior and the ease of getting clean towels and items replaced was a breeze.
The location is right in the heart of Culpeper. Close to breakfast and dinner locations. Only downfall was no private parking but the center center is well lit and no issues for the two days I stayed.
If/when I ever head back I will be staying there again, mainly for how easy it was and in close proximity it is to everything.
- Scott (10/5): Exceptional -
- Margaret (10/5): Pleasant hotel in the heart of old town Culpeper. - Large, well appointed room that made for a comfortable stay. Availability of the elevator. There was nothing that I didn't like.
- Rose Marie (10/5): - CLEAN AND SO COMFORTABLE!!
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cornell (10/5): Solo trip - Great stay in Culpeper. The hotel suite was awesome. Very comfortable. Only down side to my specific room was there was no view and the window shades were weird.
- Janet (10/5): Exceptional -
- Edelina (10/5): Very comfortable and well located (in the heart of Culpeper) location. - The room was really clean and larger than we expected. The bed was super comfortable and all of the furnishings were modern. That the shower has the half glass, you freeze in showers with those things and the water gets everywhere.
- Daphne (10/5): Exceptional - Great stay.
- Amanda (6/5): - The room was VERY comfy and it was in a wonderful area. But the walls were thin and we had some very loud neighbors that stayed up shrieking pretty late. With no concierge on site, there was no one to contact about it. There was also no one to reach out to when I went to go to my car this morning and couldn’t get the elevator to work. I was able to take the stairs, but I felt weird about not saying anything. When I took my luggage out an hour later, everything was working again, thank goodness. The on street parking was a bit anxiety inducing, but the area feels very safe so at least we didn’t have to worry about break ins. Overall, I wouldn’t rule out staying here again if I needed to. It just maybe wouldn’t be first choice.
- Sherry (7/5): Nice place - Easy access to our room.
The e mail they send was easy to read.
Staff was excellent and very friendly.
Room was clean and inviting.
Nice, large room.
Decorated beautifully.
Loved the nice big shower.
Walking distance to everything. Bed was not very comfortable.
Too firm for me.
Electrical outlets wouldn't hold my phone charger and it kept falling out. Never could get a good charge on my phone.
Parking wasn't good because it had no private parking.
We had to park in the three hour parking area and had to make sure to walk over to the treasures office, luckily just down the street, to get parking passes for our multiple day stay($5 a day) otherwise we WOULD get a ticket.
