• Scott (10/5): Pensión Iturriza is an absolute gem in the heart of old town San Sebastian! - Pensión Iturriza was the perfect place for us to stay in San Sebastian! We saw that it got exceptional ratings and honestly didn't look into it much before coming, but we were pleased by every aspect of our stay! The Location is phenomenal - right around the corner from the gorgeous gothic church in the heart of the old town, and maybe two minutes time walking from some of the best pinxto bars in the city! It was a perfect place to be able to explore from and easily pop back to the room for a rest. Ibor and his wife were lovely hosts - they went out of their way to make us feel at home. Pensión Iturriza is exceptional! Don't hesitate to stay here! There are multiple doors to have to key in through to get to your room, but this is totally nitpicking - it's actually a great feature because it provides extra security for you and your belongings.
• Rubén (10/5): Excelente opción para visitar Donosti - Es una pensión muy limpia que la lleva una gente muy agradable, las camas son muy cómodas y a pesar de estar en todo lo viejo, cerca del puerto, es una zona extremadamente tranquila en la que se descansa muy bien. Duchas con mamparas y agua caliente todo el tiempo, recomedaciones estupendas de los mejores sitios. En definitiva, una gran opción. Por decir algo, dentro de que todo estaba genial, la curvatura de la zona de al lado de la cama, el equivalente a la mesilla de noche, puede dar algún infarto, dejé el movil un par de veces ahí y se resbaló por la curvatura y yo pensando que se iba al suelo :D Un espejo fuera también estaría genial.

Would highly recommend the accommodation and a big thank you to the excellen - Excellent location right in the heart of the old town close to the Cathedral and the waterfront. Close to ample bars and restaurants. The host was extremely friendly and helpful with useful advice during our stay. The only negative was that the walls between the apartments were not very well soundproofed and you could hear the occupants of the neighbouring rooms. That is all.

Me encantó que tiene un dispensador de agua a disposición de los huéspedes y puedes tomar té y café, además de una pequeña nevera por si quieres guardar algo. No me puedo quejar de nada. Todo muy limpio No tengo ninguna queja

The owner was very nice and welcoming, always ready to help with anything we needed. The pension was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Overall, a very pleasant stay — highly recommended!

• Gary (10/5): Wonderful adventure right in the heart of old town San Sebastián - Such a perfect location, it’s a perfectly quiet little street. But within a minute or two walking you’ll find yourself right there, surrounded by all the very best pinxos bars and restaurants. You’ll find yourself close to the beach, the harbour, shopping and all the famous landmarks. The owner (Host) Ibon is amazing and knowledgeable about the area, and will help guide you to the best places, and booking taxis etc. Thanks for making our stay perfect Ibon. Absolutely nothing that we didn’t like, it is perfect for staying in San Sebastian’s old town.

• Mónica (9/5): Situación, amabilidad...todo perfecto - Situación inmejorable. En el centro de la parte vieja pero en una calle tranquila sin ruido. Habitación sencilla pero limpia y acogedora. Ibon y Maite, los dueños, super amables; cada día nos aconsejaban q podiamos hacer y cuales eran los mejores sitios para comer. Sin duda nos volveremos a ver. El precio quizás un poco alto. Pero el alojamiento en San Sebastian no es barato. Volveriamos a repetir.

• Narita (7/5): I'm fairly satisfied with the hotel, all the more for the low price. - Check-in was easy, the room was not necessarily big but spacious enough and comfortable, and clean and neat. The location was perfect and the price was low. I know that this is what a typical pension is like, but all the guest rooms shared the floor and it was not very sound-proof.

Ahora con este sistema de abrir todo con un código, se echa de menos una persona que te reciba, te indique tu habitación y hables dos palabras. A la salida si que había una persona que nos preguntó que tal y nos despidió. Se agradece

• John (9/5): Wonderful location and an owner who took pride in helping his guests. - The accommodation was simple but had everything we needed. The owner was particularly friendly and gave us very helpful advice and directions to restaurants and the nearby attractions. We did have difficulty finding the accommodation to begin with as it was up a narrow street and we had been driving down from Northern France, so we were a bit tired. Once we sorted out access and found the nearest car par, everything was smooth from then on.

• Julieta (7/5): Está bien. - El baño y la habitación están muy bien. Perfectamente limpios, cama cómoda y habitación dentro de todo amplia. La ubicación excelente para ir a cualquier lado. No hubo nadie que nos recibiera y no apareció ningún humano en los dos días de nuestra estadía. Si bien no fue necesario, fue extraño para nosotros. La entrada es muy pequeña por lo que si llegan con valijas grande puede ser incómodo pero nada grave.

The host was very friendly and shared lots of area tips and even a few words of Basque! The bed was a bit firm for our liking, but still comfortable.

• Iva (9/5): - Fantastic location in the old town yet tucked in enough to have a good night sleep. I found the pillows really comfortable. Loved that they provided water and tea and coffee. It does make a difference. I would happily go back there again. Too many emails and WhatsApp messages sent after the reservation, a bit overwhelming and probably not needed. I contacted the property to ask about getting there by car, but didn't receive a response.

También tenía una nevera en la entrada, que yo al ir con un bebé, tenía que guardar cosas para él y la he utilizado todos los días. Si volviera otra vez, repetiría!

Very easy to find. Simple, spotless, comfortable room with a balcony. Ibon, the owner so lovely and kind with lots of recommendations. Great price for a great room. Highly recommend. It was perfect. A few shelves in the bathroom for toiletries would be my only suggestion.

• Marta (8/5): Lovely and quiet location, but walking distance to restaurants. - Lovely room in a quiet street yet, 2/3 min from the pinxos bars. Nice, comfy large bed, good shower. The place is on the second floor but there's a lift so no problem with getting in. The place is also 3min walk away from the seafront and lovely long promenade, great for a loooooong walks. Tea /coffee facility is provided in a communal area which makes it a bit awkward if you fancy your morning coffee in your pyjamas... 😔
