- NIKOLAY (10/5): - We stayed here for almost two months and had a wonderful experience. The staff are very friendly, the rooms are clean, and the swimming pool and garden are beautiful. The location is perfect—within walking distance to the town centre and Alona Beach, yet set in a quiet and peaceful area. The WiFi isn’t the fastest, but still reliable enough for remote work, which was important for us. In person, the hotel is even nicer than it looks in the pictures. We would definitely stay here again when we return to Bohol.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - The place was perfect for our needs. There is no direct access to Alona beach but it is still within walking distance. It is close enough to a lot of nice restaurants, convenience stores, and pharmacy but is tucked in a pretty quiet area. The resort has a grill, swimming pool, and a billiard pool. I will definetely book this place again if i go back to Panglao with friends or family.
- Donald (10/5): Excellent Stay - Excellent stay. Really nice room with really good air conditioning. Staff were also very friendly. Just a few minutes walk to the main area with restaraunts and bars. Only a 10 minute walk from Alona Beach so very central location.

Showers were strong and hot. There was a light blanket on the bed in addition to the sheet- a first for us so far in the Philippines.
- Kelly (10/5): Wonderful.. - This place is beautiful. The resort is within lovely gardens with a well maintained and pretty pool at the centre of it. Our room was spacious with a balcony overlooking the resort gardens and pool. We had an issue with the toilet and they remedied it very quickly. Great air conditioning and a clean room. The resort is a 5 minute walk to the main strip in Pangola. The staff helped us with a taxi transfer and were friendly and helpful. Fantastic value for money in this area.

- Michael (10/5): - OMG!!!! This is our new home away from home. We had booked 10 days here originally, then after we arrived we fell in love with this resort. We ended up booking 10 more days because we loved it so much. The rooms are perfect and cozy. The pool is fantastic. The staff is so very nice and I feel like we have become friends. The grounds are beautiful. Great restaurant and convenience store just steps from the front gate. And the room prices puts a smile on my face. This is my fifth visit to panglao and I have never had this experience anywhere else. I wish I had known about this resort before. You will not be disappointed in any way. We highly recommend Alonaland!!!!!!!!!

- Michael (10/5): - Very nice place and staff, next door there is a Swiss/German style bar. Great food and regulars. Loved the bungelo style room. Very quiet, other food just up the road. Unfortunately someone is building a hugh beach front property, blocking easy access to the beach.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Not for a family - The focus of this resort is the dive shop the hotel is secondary. The staff acts friendly but they don’t help with bags or anything else almost as if it’s not their job. They are too casual. There is no working BBQ like advertised. There was a nice outdoor kitchen but the light did not work. When I asked for a lamp because we arrived late and I needed to make dinner for the family I was told “ sorry there are no lamps” and the new lightbulb that my husband had to put in himself did not work. My husband asked the same female staff member, about 30 seconds later for a lamp and the she handed him a lamp. Funny how she was more than happy to make him happy. Needless to say I was not happy with her behavior and I told her. The next night we found an extremely sharp three pronged object clamped on the seam in our pillowcase. It had scratched my 9 year olds hands. That evening when I asked the same staff if she knew anything about it. She ran and got the manager who I had been asking for all day. So now it’s 11pm and I’m being verbally attacked by two staff members outside my door one who said she was the manager and then she said I myself planted the object and that I am mean person. I pointed out that even if it was not the female staff person it certainly looked intentional because the middle prong of the object was sticking straight up and wouldneed a tool to make that happen and they needed to investigate. They continued to accuse me. Alona Land = crazy dangerous place.

- O (4/5): - Property is ok overall. The only reason we booked it though is because on Expedia it said 1 min walk to the main beach. It was hard to tell from google maps, it was located very close to the beach, but when we got there it turned out it’s 25 mins walk to the beach!!! As you have to go back on a main road and walk down. Total deception as we were specifically looking for a place right on the beach. We had to hire a scooter for that reason and it was not at all what we were expecting. Extremely disappointed with that as it was the main thing for our stay.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and would definitely come here again. The kitchenette was more than adequate for all the cooking we wanted to do. Near to the Alona beach which was good. Without all the facilities of a much larger hotel it was a very good casual hotel
- William (2/5): Problematic - From the outside it is hard to tell whether this property is still in business. The owner has seemingly abandoned the idea of maintaining the buildings or grounds. I arrived at night and stared into blackness for a while. The interior of rooms are not that bad. Poor internet. Worst thing, though, is that property is left wide open at night and THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOT GUARD OR OTHER SECURITY HERE! I think hotels.com should try to do a better job in verifying that their hotel clients are really functioning as such.

Only small issue is there is no easy beach access so guests must walk to the main road, over, and back down to the beach... about a 10-minute walk. It was not noticed or given statement about the policy. It was hidden extra cost. I went for international call before check out and it took some time. If i had known the policy already, i would have checked out beforehand. At the sudden request for the penalty, i felt so bad
- Georgiy (10/5): Hidden Gem - The hotel is perfect. We stayed 8 nights in 2 bedroom separate house and I would like to stay longer. The hotel has very green garden. The beds are comfortable. It's 2 minutes walk to Alona Beach if you get pass (the hotel has only 6 passes)thru the hotel in from of Alonaland. The staff is very friendly. There are restararaunts and grocery shops nearby. The main street is in 5 mins walk. If I will come to Panglao I will stay again.

- Aspi (4/5): can b better - Nice place run very poorly. Firstly we were allotted a wrong room from our booking. So next day we were moved. But again that room was reserved from the following day hence we had to move again to another room. We landed up occupying three rooms in our four nights stay! Make sure you get a room with kitchenette as the other room is crap. Pool is the best part of this place. Wifi is very poor. Our aircon in the third room kept shutting off. Fan above dining table was not functioning. House keeping left a broom in our room and smoked while in there, as we could get the stink. All in all, only stay if you don't get other acco.
- Dwayne S (2/5): Bad place to stay - I was very disappointed with my stay at Alonaland resort apartelle, first I booked a room with a kitchenette and upon arrival they told me i only had a standard room without a kitchenette and had to pay an extra 585 pesos per night to get a kitchenette. The towels they provided were old and smelly and the bed sheets were old and terrible faded all in desperate need of replacement. They only change the sheets every 3 days and towels every other day. We happened to remove the sheets on one of the beds and the mattress cover was badly stained. When I complained about it, one of the cleaners said I am the only one complaining, which my fiance told me. It seems they may only hand wash the sheets and hang them on a clothe line to dry. Our room had many ants we had to buy spray to eliminate them. There were many mosquitoes, which made it hard to sit out on the patio. Also lots of cats that invaded the trash can they provided in the outside kitchenette. The service was sub par in comparison to other resorts in Panglao. I would never stay at this resort again, nor would I recommend this place to anyone.
- Ray (6/5): We wouldn't stay again! - Stayed for 7 nights with intent to stay an additional 7 nights, if we liked the place. Good pool, large room and a comfortable bed. Check in is at 2pm and we arrived at 2:45pm and had to wait for an hour for our room to be cleaned. Hotel does not provide soap, shampoo or dish soap. They do not service your room, unless you specifically ask for it. Wifi totally sucked! It did not work inside our room, but worked outside intermittently for 2 days when all wifi stopped working throughout the resort. It was not working for 5 of our 7 night stay and wasn't working when we checked out. Staff just doesn't communicate with guests on problems and just don't really care if you are happy or not. We chose the resort because of its proximity to the beach which required a pass through adjacent resort. We asked for a pass and they said a pass was no longer available. Beach option was using a shuttle available about 4 or 5 times a day, or walking the road up, around and back down, about 25 minutes of you ignore the tours trying to sell you everything. We decided to spend a second week elsewhere, where we would be appreciated for spending our time and money with them.

- Syra Marie (10/5): - The experience is amazing. I will definitely go back here. Near in the beach you just need to secure your gatepass to the neighbor beach otherwise it's a 10-15mins walk. (Gatepass can be obtained thru the reception area and it needs 500php for security deposit.Just need to make sure you return it for you get back your deposit). Kitchen area is complete (also need 500php security deposit) but i think they need to replace the knife. Room is very spacious and heater is working fine. It has well maintained landscape and a pool that has roof in the shallow area. The area is near to the groceries store about 7-10mins walk. If you need a mineral water they have it, 70php/Gallon which is enough for the whole stay. Staffs are friendly. I'm satisfied to what i paid for.

- Aicel (10/5): My home in Bohol - I had a solo travel just this August and Alonaland became my home there. The staff is friendly and approachable. I remember when I had a concern, everyone is to the rescue and went to my room. Whatever I ask for, they promptly provide it.Plus the room is clean, the ambiance is sooooo peaceful plus it's just a block away from the Alona Beach where you can find the highlight during the night. I'll definitely book again when I go to Bohol. :D

- wenchieh (2/5): sticky-finger staff - Book through hotel.com and Stay here for 3 days July 28 - July 31 2018. On the first day, the resort manage to give our room to a walk-in. The night shift staff takes 20 mins to sort this out and give us another room(room19). On July 30, we went island hopping around 6 am and came back at 1 pm. my 67-year-old mom forgot to take the wallet with her and left it in the room. The money was kept in 2 different places and was stolen 1/3 in each place(USD, peso,nt) AND 1 gold neckless. After informing the staff there were 4 people cleaning the room that day together and none of them claim to stealing the money nor did they see other people steal it. The staff raised her voice and say it's solely our fault that money wasn't kept in the safety box. Try to ask contact information about the boss and was told the owner rolf was out of Philippine and cannot be reached. I understand it's our fault that we should keep the money in the safe but it doesn't change the fact there's sticky-fingered staff in this resort. BE AWARDED!
- Barry (8/5): family holiday - overall a good choice for what we wanted a relaxing no hassle 2 weeks. Staff were always welcoming and helpful when you get them. Location is good shops/resturants near by. Beach is close if you manage to get a gate pass for adjacent hotel for direct beach access otherwise it would be a long walk around. Public access seems an issue on Alona!
- Cha (6/5): Budget accomodations - For the price, Alonaland Resorts Apartelle is a value. Our family of 4 (parents and teens) booked a 2 bedroom cottage which was very spacious and roomy. It had an outdoor kitchen in the patio with cooking utensils and pots available. The place was clean except for the ants infestation. Customer service was good except for all the deposits they asked for: deposit for using the kitchen and deposit for the access passes to the beach through neighboring hotel. The high end resorts in Panglao Island are really pricey, so if you need a place to stay for a reasonable price, Alonaland will do.
- Jeffrey (8/5): A good stay - We stayed in one of their family cottages. It was very spacious. One large master bedroom and a smaller room with two double beds. It had an outdoor kitchen area which was nice. Unfortunately, it was a struggle to buy groceries in this area. There are no grocery stores. Only some smaller, overpriced markets. Lots of restaurants nearby though. Technically, it is close to Alona Beach but only if you can get an elusive gate pass through a neighbouring resort. We were never able to get this pass during our stay. A public trail is desperately needed here. It is a good 20 to 30 minute walk to the beach. The resort has a shuttle but it can only take you part of the way. The pool at resort is amazing though. Our family used it constantly. My 1 1/2 year old son loved it. The grounds are well maintained and it is very peaceful there. Overall we enjoyed our stay. It is quiet at night. A nice change from the beach area. We booked a tour to the Chocolate hills with a group on the corner of main street. The driver was very good and on time. He even came back early the next morning to take us to Ferry port in the city. A good stay.
- Dulcie (10/5): - Really nice rooms, comfy bed and lovely pool area. The whole place is very tranquil and relaxing, although it did seem a little tired. Not a lot of socialising here but i would still recommend as a chilled out place to stay. Good value for money too!
- Dorothy (8/5): Reasonable rates and good size rooms - Place is great except housekeeping let’s it down. They also had no passes through opposite hotel to the beach my whole stay. Free shuttle to the beach at specified times but need to walk back or take tricycle if you have kids as it’s a fair walk. The Swiss restaurant has a well stocked deli for those self catering and meals good also.
- R-World (8/5): - Bungalow paradise. Quiet, down off busy, main road(++); maybe '2-3 blocks distance to hotel dead end. Nice to be off touristy main road. No room toiletries/restaurant, but a few restaurants/shops on road (100m or so) to buy what you need. BBQ/pool/pool table in mid-courtyard a few meters along trail from bungalow. Fridge/A/C; patio/balcony. Beach 10 min down main road, leisurely walkable or moto-taxi ride; preferable vs. tourist busy/noise. Restaurants/delicious bakery/ATM-banks/pharmacy all nearby from main road corner. It is a walk-beach-eat-drink main road strip set up. Nice evening walk back to hotel. Scuba shop on-site.

- Madjid (6/5): - Inexpensive, no-frills but still adequate old-looking standard rooms (resort has other room categories which I did not stay at) but with all the essentials (old but flat screen tv with good selection of Cable channels, very good wifi, an efficient but old small fridge and a decent bathroom but no toiletries; so must bring your own soap/shampoo etc..). There even is a small in-room safe. The high point of this small resort are the gardens and swimming pool both of which are rather good and well maintained. Location is very good for Alona beach "almost beach" with a weird access through another, far more expensive resort.
- Chris (10/5): Value for money - Best value for money in Alona Beach after spending a week staying here and switching accomodation to Alonaland Resort. Room is very basic but had all the essentials, considering the price overall very happy with this accommodation!

Bathroom shower in Room 17 needs fixing, shower handle is broken, water trickling and no hot water. The smell of the cabinets needs to be addressed. the smell of pillow cases - needs to be washed well with fabric softener, must be ironed too, the pillows have to be washed, dried and refreshed as well.
- Helen (10/5): Quiet oasis in Panglao - loved it! - Set in a pretty garden with a lovely pool and dive shop on site. It's nice and quiet, the staff are lovely and will help you to organise anything you need. The dive shop is a fantastic bonus!! Very reasonably priced with good equipment and excellent staff with Polish, English, French and German speaking instructors. I had a big room, with a kitchen and fridge which is a brilliant because you can make breakfasts and lunches, all whilst overlooking the pool and garden. I really loved this place.

- Michael (8/5): Alonaland - fine little Resort - This was our 3rd stay and we enjoyed it. We have stayed here both as a couple and with teenage kids. We have always felt welcome and stayed in 2 different types (bungalow and studio apartment) both was nice. The pool area is very nice also. The kitchen equipment - pots and pan should be changed as it was in poor condition, but however we managed to do the bit of cooking we needed to do and did not complain about it. The Resort is very near the Beach and with gate pass through another Resort it takes 5min to get there. We have grown fond of this little Resort and would definately stay there next time again.
- Enjoy Faith (8/5): Cheap and Relaxing Place - Pros - Complete kitchen and cookware with fridge, rice cooker, tabletop dispenser,etc. - Clean toilet. - Hot showers. - Hammocks to use in the garden. - Nice room and kitchen set up. - Plenty of hangers to use. Cons - Distinctive smell from the toilet. - No direct access to the beach. Have to ride the shuttle at definite schedule provided. Be warned to ride the last shuttle scheduled at 5pm before that time. - Only 3 chairs for 4pax occupancy. - Deposit for everything which I understand. - Maybe allocate 2 pillows for each guest.
