• Corina (4/5): - The pictures online are very deceiving. Not like i was going to use the robe but it was visibly dirty. The sheets had stains, the towels had stains, there were weird stains all over the walls, the bed looked as if someone had just thrown it together in a hurry. I would not recommend for the price. If i didnt arrive so exhausted i would have found another place and left immediately.

Lo que no me gustó mucho es que nos tocó mantenimiento en el piso de arriba y habia ruido temprano. Además de que la alberca la acababan de limpiar y se sentian piedritas. Pocos canales de tv con buena definición.

• Casa (4/5): - Estaba sucio, encontramos una cucaracha, no había de cortesía y cuando la pedimos solo nos dieron una botella de agua mineral, llegamos por la noche y tardaron en abrirnos. La TV tenía mala calidad
• Joel (6/5): - El hotel está en una zona que no da la impresión de ser segura. No hay elevador, un problema para personas de edad avanzada o con alguna condición médica. Las habitaciones cuando no están ocupadas están abiertas, por lo que se puede meter algún animal mientras llega el próximo huésped que las ocupará. El aire acondicionado no enfriaba bien. El personal es atento y el hotel está bien diseñado para el espacio que tienen.

• Christian (7/5): Solid option to stay when in Puerto Escondido - - The bed / mattress was very comfortable. - The room was quite spacious. - Lots of towels in the room. - The staff was friendly and helpful. - Sparse but tasteful decorations in the room. - The hotel is very noisy (loud music, dogs barking, guests chatting), there is a pool + bar that is in the central courtyard to which many habitations are directed to. So keep that in mind if you're sensitive to noise. - No table / chairs in the room I had. - Not much space in the bathroom to put your accessories. - No elevator, just stairs (not recommended for people who use a wheelchair). - Breakfast is a bit too expensive for what is offered. - Sluggish WLAN.

• Federico (10/5): - Las instalaciones, están muy cuidadas y el hotel es muy bonito, tienen varios servicios y la atención dle personal es muy agradable, la única desventaja es la ubicación, que a pesar de que no está lejos de la playa, forzosamente febes tonar transporte para llegar, y hay pocos locales para comer cerca. En general lo recomiendo mucho.
• Emma (8/5): great place close to beaches - The bed was super comfortable, as well as the aircon meant I slept super well my entire stay. The common areas are also very nice to spend some time in the shade during the warmest time of day. Beaches within walking distance. Regarding value for money I'd say it's a great deal. It's true that as other people have mentioned it could be a bit cleaner i.e. the furniture looks a tad worn down, floor could have been vacuumed due to sand etc. The windows are also paper thin but if you have earplugs and you're tired you will sleep fine.

• Stephen (9/5): Comfortable hotel in Puerto Escondido - The hotel was nice and comfortable and the main area was very well laid out. I ended up arriving a day late to my reservation but I called the hotel beforehand and they were able to keep my room for me. I only had a limited time in Puerto Escondido so not sure how great the location is in relation to nightlife, but it was quite close to the Playa Bacocho where I went to do the baby sea turtle release (every day at 5pm). The pool area looked great although I unfortunately didn’t have time to use it. The bedroom was comfortable and the shower and bathroom were great.

• RENE DE JESUS (6/5): Mala experiencia. - Realmente NO es lo que ofrecen de ser un hotel Boutique, NO hay personal para atender los imprevistos. Mucho ruido, cero atención y mala calidad en los servicios, NO regresaría y mucho menos lo RECOMENDARIA.

I would say this is the main reason to stay here, you also have the turtle release expereince close by and its close to central if you want to explore inland! Staff were super friendly and helpful also! The room had aircon! I would say the rooms need a bit of updating, but overall we had everything we needed.

The best part about the hotel was the AMAZING STAFF!! The beautiful queen (Olga?) at the front desk was always above and beyond nice. She even helped me carry my bag up two flights of stairs. The staff in the restaurant were beyond amazing..the food was fresh!! Best coffee and Barista in Puerto!! The server JJ was the epitome of EXCELLENCE in customer service!! The only thing was location wasn’t near to much so needed to taxi everywhere short rides. Thanx to this AMAZING Team they all work so hard and we are grateful!! LOVE AND LIGHT💜💫

• Roman (10/5): A very pleasant experience - We stayed at Shavanna for 11 nights in August and it was such a great experience. The hotel is very nicely designed, very nice upstairs lounge/dining area, great breakfast, very clean. It was mostly quiet during the low season we visited which we enjoyed. And we were most thankful to the staff who were very pleasant, friendly and eager to help. We enjoyed chatting with Eddie who helped us out with getting to know the town, find us services we needed & provided great recommendations overall.

• Kyle (8/5): - Shavanna was a lovely if simple hotel I stayed in for a night. They had all the basics and a nice couryard with a pool. The location is close to the airport, though not convenient to much eating/drinking or the beach.
• Dave Omer (8/5): better then average.. could be excellent - This is our second visit to Shavanna.. We really liked it so much 3 years ago, the place was perfect.. BUT, This trip we felt it has lost its luster. The pool area was in need of repair, rotten wood, rough edges, a bit grimy. All the wood and there is a lot of it, needs refreshing or replacing. There were dogs left alone in the guests room and they were angry and barked allot - we love them we have 5. On a better note.. the bartender was spot on and charming and the restaurant and the drink great.

Eddy the driver was so awesome and had great English. There was next to no one there so felt kinda isolated but just a $3 cab ride from anywhere.

The pool area and the drinks are well done. The rooms were very large and the beds very comfortable. The location is not in the tourist zone which is a good thing!
