Guest Reviews
- Dan (8/5): - The owner is fantastic. The rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. Older place, very well taken care of. WIFI is very slow. Best place to stay in Davenport.
- Kimberlee (4/5): - Since new ownership this hotel has gone downhill. The room was dirty. The shower needs a deep scrub. You can see dirt build up in the tub. There's mold around the toilet and the bathroom light has dead bugs in it. It appears to get a lazy in-between cleaning per guest. Please invest in some good janitorial supplies. Needs some updated remodeling. The lampshade was broken. Really? The front desk was not very friendly even on the second day to get more towels, same blah attitude from the young girl. This place has become a hole in the wall dump. We will drive a little further into Airway Heights to get a better place to stay.
- robert (8/5): - Nothing outstanding
- Ryan (6/5): - Mold in shower and on curtain. Bathroom door had holes in it. Bathroom light was flashing as the bulb was near its life. Bed was comfortable but bathroom needs a good cleaning and the curtain replaced.
- Harriet (10/5): - Iit was wonderful and I would recommend it and stay there again.
- Daniel (10/5): - Safeway and a Coffee Hut across the street. Very friendly staff. All was good.
- Alexander (10/5): - Very nice people
- Wanda (6/5): - Like that it's in Davenport.
Liked the spacious room.
Good value for money.
Would like to have Kleenex in the room.
Didn't like the skimpy bath towels.
- Autumn (10/5): - Great
- Stevie (8/5): - It was very clean and nice for a small town older motel. I've stayed in a lot and was expecting a lower quality. The host was very friendly.
- Allen (6/5): - It was a good place to sleep. There aren't any amenities.
- Josie (10/5): - Good value location and convenient. Easy in and out.
- Jeffrey (6/5): - It was good for the most part. However after staying for one night my eye developed an infection.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was good for the most part. However after staying for one night my eye developed an infection.
- Mary (2/5): - Don't stay there. I used to break my journey there at the half way point so made my reservation site unseen. If I hadn't been exhausted I would driven right past it.
- William (10/5): - The staff lets us check in early and very freindly. Would happily stay there agsin
- Opal (10/5): - Room was very clean and spacious. Bed was decent. I do believe the couch was a pull out bed. We didn't need to use it. Has a small dinning area and desk. It's right across street from the store and gas station. Would definitely recommend.
- Alex (10/5): - The Davenport Motel is now my go to place when Im traveling in the Spokane area.I dont mind driving 25 miles off I-90 to stay here because its clean quiet, theres a safeway across the street its one of those places off the beaten path that you just enjoy. The owners are fabulous. So if you want a quiet place where you can sleep for less than $100 a night this is the place. It only has 6-7 rooms so you might wanna book the room early.
- Janice (10/5): Recommend - Comfortable older motel in a small town with friendly service, clean room-all we needed and all we could ask for on a trip through North Cascades National Park.
- Dan (4/5): - Dirty and unkept
- Audrey (8/5): - Stayed overnight on our way to lake Rosevelt. Motel is what you would expect from a small town. Owners were very friendly, very decent sized rooms. Clean, air worked really well, walking distance to restaurants, grocery, etc. we had no complaints.
- Paul (10/5): - Very Clean and with a reasonable price.
- Marie (10/5): - Place is convenient to what we needed, very clean. Parking is good.
- Dan (10/5): - We always enjoy staying here. It is older, yet well maintained. The owners are friendly and welcoming.
- Raymond (10/5): - Was quite, it a small town atmosphere. Only thing could change, maybe rotate the mattresses periodically so that they don't get the sag or typical hole where hips end up.
- Arlene (8/5): - The motel was just fine for what we needed.
- John (6/5): - Old building, some upgrades. Clean with friendly staff, location is right on highway. Limitations are age and location, not much the proprietors can change. Better than average considering the limitations. Would consider staying again.
- Julie (6/5): Ok for location and price - This motel was what we expected for a small town. The beds were clean and comfortable. Wall art was falling off the bathroom door. Walls are very thin. We heard the activity of the next room loud and clear! Best of all dog friendly!
- Michael (10/5): - The staff were friendly and the place was clean and well kept. The location is right on the edge of the middle of the town, making it easy to walk down to the restaurants and local shops.
- Jose (2/5): - Very noisy, street noise, next rooms bathroom and guests noises, room missing light bulbs in 2 lamps, dirt around tub and toilet
- Mitchell (10/5): - Was offered a secure place for my boat.
- lisa (10/5): - Perfect little room for the price. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
- denice (4/5): - Carpet was Soo gross, light fixture fell off
- Verified traveler (2/5): Other reviews are true - terrible rooms! - Nasty room with beat up furniture & carpet that was stained in multiple places. Bathroom floor was sticky. Sheets had a hole in them. Not as advertised and not worth the $. Its sad because it could be a cute botique motel.
- Murlin (2/5): Beware - The hotel was so filthy we did not stay there. The owner was understanding but the poor condition of the motel was I exceptable.
- Coesett (10/5): - We were running late and got into major traffic jam, I called to let them know and they made sure we were able to get into our room and they are awesome management to work with!!!
- Graham (10/5): - Had a lovely young girl check us in. Very helpful. Comfortable night's sleep. Older motel but ideal for 1 night on a road trip. Shower nice and hot.
- James (10/5): Boomer Nostalgia - Loved this old-fashioned motel where I could back right up to my door to unload. My room was tiny, but that is what I expected, and I enjoyed being to work at the desk and reach into the refrigerator.
It is a step back in time to when the family that owns the motel live there and take pride in the property. Plus, they were super hospitable.
- Steven (2/5): - .
- Diane (6/5): - Small
- Tia (2/5): - I didn’t check in I never went to the motel I cancelled the reservation as soon as I booked it I realized it wasn’t the Davenport Hotel not motel. I protected my reservation in case I cancelled . And sure enough I cancelled but they wouldn’t give me back a refund. Stupid businesses are quick to take your out of your your banking account. But it’s hell trying to get my money back. It’s stupid ridiculous
- Joe (8/5): - The manager was quite easy to work with. Very friendly.
- Jane (8/5): - Room is clean. Comfortable bed. Room is Very small. If you are a large person you will not be comfortable. Iam a short, pudgy person. Door to the bathroom was snug. Otherwise fine. Dont forget to ask for the hairdryer.
- Aileen (4/5): - This motel needs a serious upgrade - the room smelled like stale cigarette smoke; the filter for the AC requires cleaning as it is filthy and smells; the carpet needs cleaning desperately, or better yet, replacing - I wasn't comfortable removing my shoes, since it is so dirty; the lamps over the bed were missing lightbulbs and shades, the outlet was missing its cover; the microwave plug had to be held into the outlet to work. The bed (after checking for bed bugs), was comfortable.
- Kelly (8/5): - Carpet needs cleaning
- Craig (8/5): - The room was clean
The young gal at the desk very pleasant.
We couldn’t get the TV to work
Parking right in front of our room was great.
- denise (10/5): - I love that his family owned and operated and very nice people
- Rhonda (4/5): - This is basic lodging if you don't want to drive several miles outside of Davenport for accomodations.
- Katheryn (10/5): Great stay - Great area the bed were comfortable and the room was big. It’s older but clean
- Tammy (10/5): - The young woman who checked us in was the most kind young lady! The room was very clean, quiet, and well kept. The area feels very safe, as we were there with our 9 y/o. The supermarket is across the street and walking distance. It was a little out of the way for our trip but i would do it again!!
- Rhonda (4/5): - The staff was very pleasant and helpful when asked. The room was very run down with overly worn carpet, and a broken lamp and uncovered outlet.
- Mark (8/5): - stay was ok
- Dan (6/5): - Not the Ritz-Carlton. Property really needs an upgrade. Works for a place to sleep.
- Dr Dean (8/5): - Basic, simple, clean, quiet.
- Angus (8/5): - Fair but needs upgrade on electric and plumbing
Unit was clea and neat
- Ronald (10/5): - Solid, clean and comfortable. Was passing through so i can't comment about attractions and such.
- Grady (10/5): - We have stayed here 2 years in a row for the basketball tournaments. They are cosy rooms old but have their charm still. The staff is always friendly and smiles. The rooms are larger than they seem from the outside. They are also pretty sound proof. Except the showers water tends to be loud even big chain places still atruggle with that. The beds were comfortable. Coffee pots could be cleaned but that would be our only complaint but they have a coffee shop right accross the street so no need to make your own.
- Robert (4/5): - TV was impossible to operate. A lamp didn’t work. Furniture was old. Overall not a good value.
- Michele (10/5): Absolute Diamond in the Ruff - This is an absolute diamond in the ruff.
Yes, it is outdated,
But it is Quite & Clean! The beds I will give a 10 very comfortable. Pets are welcome with extra charges. yes, we will stay again & again.
- Cathy (2/5): Never again - Husband called the motel a few weeks before to confirm as we are traveling with a group. They didn’t answer and never called back. Day of our stay he called them and they said they had no reservations!! We booked 9 months earlier!! The rooms are old, missing lamp shades, torn and dirty carpet. Bed is old and bedding is old.
- Sarah (10/5): - Responsive staff, helpful with our late arrival time. Room was clean, bed was comfy and good soaps, kleenex, electrical sockets….will be back.
- Ronald (8/5): - Thanks for waiting for us late night and friendly welcoming.
- Stephen (8/5): - Just what we needed 👍
- Ryan (10/5): - It was close to were we were going
- george t. (2/5): - Perfect for me
- Amanda (8/5): - The room was clean and warm. The girl at the front desk was friendly and helpful.
- Kathleen (10/5): - The room was clean. The bathroom was clean. The young lady who checked me in was very nice and helpful.
- Dan (10/5): - New owners seem very nice. They are updating the rooms. Everything was neat and clean.
- Samuel (10/5): - Room was clean, and bed is comfortable. They had the heat on in the room when i got there. Be nice if they had a drink machine there, but very good motel, great service,
- Mary (10/5): - It was a clean quaint motel. Comfortable
- Connie (6/5): - Did not feel totally safe.
Made a reservation for a room with two beds. When I checked in, was given a room with one bed. Took several minutes to get it straightened out.
The room was dated, which I can deal with, however the carpet by the bathroom smelled of feces. Had to keep the fan on in the bathroom all night to keep the smell down.
- Dale (8/5): - It was convenient.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Thank you - Customer service was great and rooms were clean. Would stay again.
- patricia (10/5): - Room was a good size, very comfortable, very clean, has everything you could possibly need for your stay.
- Jonathon (10/5): - No frills, nice place, good price. Safeway across the street. Had to call phone number to check in, manager was there in three minutes. It was a aTuesday night, not busy, so he gave me a free upgrade to a bigger room.
- Jean-Pierre (10/5): - Large room with all the accommodations I needed. I loved the decoration with charming old drawings, a nice painting and a beautiful picture of the coast. I had a great pleasure talking with owner: very friendly!
The only thing is that the motel is close to the road. Fortunately there are not a lot of traffic except in the morning but it was perfectly fine for me although I am sensitive to noise
- STEVE (10/5): - Simple and quiet..
Retro look and feel.
I would stay again!,
- Micheal (10/5): - Very friendly, helpful, and accommodating staff. The room was clean, comfy, and quiet!
- Dan (10/5): - They always remember us and everything is neat and clean, The beds are comfortable. Always friendly and helpful.
- Jean-Marie (8/5): Recommended - This is a lovely family run motel. Clean, comfortable and well maintained. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.
- Karen (10/5): - Very nice motel, better than some hotels I've stayed at. Great air conditioning and a great shower. We will stay again when in Davenport.
- Chris (10/5): Extremely friendly and accommodating - Jeff and Elaine were absolutely great to us especially considering we showed up on short notice.
- Greg (8/5): - This is a older motel, however you tell the owners care about their property. Our room was clean and comfortable. If you’re looking for the 4 Seasons, keep going , but if you need a safe room that is comfortable stay here.
- Emmerick (10/5): - Owner was friendly and nice to deal with and very accommodating. Room was clean a comfortable.
- Kiwamu (10/5): - Friendly service
- Lori (10/5): - The rooms are a bit dated, but functional and clean. Property manager is top-notch. The bed is super comfortable. Definitely gonto Tribune Smokehouse as they're awesome there as well. I'll stay here again
- Paula (10/5): - This is an old time, roadside motel. Wonderful. Easy. The owners were welcoming.
- Matthew (10/5): Perfect - Perfect - just what I was looking for
- Stacy (10/5): - Easy and convenient
- John (8/5): - It was an older motel, but clean. We had to call a phone number when we arrived to register with someone that needed to drive to the office.
- Bruce (10/5): - Nothing fancy but good value, clean, and everything I needed.
- Pete (10/5): - Clean and moderate priced,
- Teresa (8/5): - I go to a motel to sleep. The Davenport Motel accommodated that perfectly. The hotel is an older hotel, therefore wasn't expecting the Ritz and it met our needs. Owner was friendly and answered all our questions.
- Susan (10/5): - Very well maintained older motel. Exceptionally clean.
- Dan (10/5): - Older property, always neat and clean with comfortable beds. Very friendly. We stay here 3 or 4 times a year.
- Kaitlin (10/5): - Owners were very friendly and available, rooms were clean & affordable with a good location :)
- SHANNON (10/5): - I was unexpectedly pleased with my stay here. The room was clean, with modern amenities normally reserved for hotels. Though they were nearly full at the motel during my stay, I found the room to be quiet and cozy, upon checking in later in the evening it was in the 20's outside, but the room was comfortable and I slept well each night of my stay. The grounds were small, but tidy, well maintained and at night, well lit for safe travels from your vehicle to the room. Motel staff was friendly, check in/out was trouble free and I would definitely return the next time I visit Davenport. Thank you for a very pleasant stay! I would definitely recommend.
- Kris (10/5): - Staff was very friendly. Check in was smooth.
- Martin (8/5): - Everything was fine except the dish receiver malfunctioned .
No Tv !
- Ryan (10/5): - Nice place
