The rooms are themed and we stayed in the lighthouse room. The bed was comfortable and the room was great. Entry was easy with electronic keypads. Breakfast was delicious served by the owners Jenna and Chris. The location was perfect for exploring downtown Ludington. Everything was great
- Isabel (10/5): - This was my second time staying at Cartier Mansion and every time I wish I could stay longer. The Mansion is beautiful, quiet, and comfortable. Loved all the little extra touches in the Blue Silk Room-welcome note with chocolates, coffee, and water. The Bed was so comfortable to sleep in, the pillows were perfect! I slept so well, I wanted to take them home🤣. We had to leave early the next morning and they were sweet to offer breakfast half an hour earlier for us and it was delicious! This will always be my favorite place to stay in Ludington 🥰 Nothing

Their passion for preserving the mansion’s rich history added a special touch to the experience. The breakfasts were a highlight, featuring creative, locally sourced dishes that were both interesting and delicious. However, for lighter eaters like myself, it would be great if they offered a continental breakfast option alongside the multi-course gourmet spread. Overall, the Cartier Mansion is a must-visit for anyone seeking a unique, history-filled getaway with outstanding hospitality. I highly recommend it and look forward to staying there again.

Their recommendations for dinner and sites to see were helpful and we really enjoyed Ludington. We hope to return. The house is beautifully cared for and decorated; the rooms are very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed trying something new. We have certainly put it on the list of places we would like to return and spend a little more time next time. There was nothing that we could say we didn't like. It was a wonderful stay.

The history in the home was tastefully displayed and maintained the authenticity of the home. The bed in our room was very comfortable, bathroom had lots of towels and necessary items (shampoo, condition, body was, lotion, hair dryer), the hallway kitchenette made it easy to enjoy coffee/tea/snacks at anytime of day. We look forward to returning!

- Thomas (10/5): Great place to bring your loved one to relax! - As soon as we booked, we got a phone call to confirm our travels and check for dietary restrictions which I do have so I appreciated that. We got offered a complimentary upgrade for our room and it was so beautiful and cozy! The whole property was beautiful and decorated so nice for the holidays. Water and chocolates and coffee in our room along with robes. A fireplace added just a nice cozy touch! The breakfast was amazing and we will definitely be back to bring my in laws!

Our hosts were very welcoming though we were out most of the days we stayed enjoying the area during great weather, so we would have liked to get to know them better. The hosts work very hard to please with a wonderful breakfast that each course is explained in detail.

Chris and Jenna are the perfect hosts - super friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was light but very tasty. Highly recommended! The bed was a little soft for my taste and the breakfast was a bit light. Adding a few breads or pastries would be just right.

The location is close to many of the main Ludington attractions/restaurants. The amount of text messages from the time I booked until arrival was excessive - they continued for days after booking and 24 hours in advance of my arrival. I was unexpectedly placed in the garage room (carriage house) which is not what I registered for and had planned on. I booked a Mansion B&B to stay in the "mansion". The message indicating that I was in the carriage house was not clear to me (buried in 1 of many texts) and I entered the house upon arrival where there was no welcoming signs, no personnel available, no answer to phone calls so we just sat waiting for clarification. Did not feel I got what I signed up for.

- John (10/5): Quick getaway to Ludington - Cartier Mansion - We did a quick midweek escape to Ludington and loved our stay at the Cartier Mansion. The building is a 1905 gem and the owners, Jenna and Chris do a lovely job of keeping the property in top shape. Nice breakfast and some really nice dining options in Ludington. The town has a number of terrific Victorian homes that make for nice walks in town. When you go, try to catch the lighthouse at Ludington State Park, a short drive north of town. We will definitely return. Nice job Jenna and Chris!

The breakfast the owners prepared for us was wonderful& creative and so delicious and unique . Very beautiful mansion and amazing area. The entire experience was exceptional. I will cherish this experience for it’s definitely different than just staying in a regular hotel. The owners hand made us chocolates, we had nice robes in our room. There was a fireplace in which even though it was very hot outside and we had a controlled air unit, at night it got very chilly and we were able to utilize the wall fireplace for added warmth and comfort. The area also had very nice eateries and ice cream parlors and frozen yogurt places in walking distance, felt safe walking around if you didn’t want to drive. I didn’t like how i asked for more towels at the 1st breakfast stay and was advised the staff would bring some to our room and none were ever brought. We stayed 2 nights and had to reuse our towels and washcloths. I feel for the amount we payed to stay there something like that shouldn’t ever happen or get forgotten. It was very hot there and we shower 3-4 times a day.

- Charles (10/5): Perfection!! - I especially enjoyed and appreciated the attention to detail, and personal focus on behalf of the hosts. The breakfast was superb, very unique and served with love and kindness. The only thing, and this is really nitpicking, was a repeating, intermittent sound of water running (filling something??) during the night at times when no one was probably using water. I still got a good night sleep so it was not a big deal.

- Jason (10/5): Absolutely exceeded our expectations! - The Cartier Mansion was an amazing experience! The home is owned and operated by a super friendly and helpful couple. The history of the mansion is all over, making it fun to find something new about the orginal owner and the build every time you walk around the property. The original woodworking is beautiful, my wife and I spent at least an hour of our trip just looking at the all the details the house was built with. The breakfast was fantastic and comfy with the owners serving the food with a description of what it is and where it originated from. Being just walking distance to downtime made it fun to just walk to lunch and dinner. We look forward to staying here again.
