We arrived earlier than the 3pm check in & would have been more than happy to wait but we were told straight away that our room was indeed ready & that we had very kindly been upgraded. They had noted the length of our stay and told us we would be more comfortable in a larger room. So very kind and totally appreciated! It was a beautiful, fresh, spotlessly clean room & superb bathroom with a large shower. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the addition of a sofa certainly enhanced our comfort. The breakfast served in a gorgeous room downstairs was varied and plentiful, quite delicious and the ladies serving were extremely welcoming & soon remembered our drinks order each morning! The hotel is in a wonderful location for all the amazing sites you will want to visit as well as some superb restaurants! We would like to thank all the wonderful staff at this very special hotel for making our stay so memorable and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend staying here and indeed will be planning our return soon! Special mention must go to Christina who was so kind at check in and throughout our stay providing wonderful service and always with a friendly smile!

- Piotr (5/5): Don’t recommend - We were very disappointed - especially for the price that was valid on Easter :( Room was clean , towels very fresh but we get only 1 bath towel and we saw it at night so we did not get another. Man at the recepction wasn’t so nice and what is more make a scan of my credit Card !!!!! Where the RODO is ? Breakfast wasn’t varied , scrambbled eggs made from powder 🫣 But the worst was that the room was clastrophobic. Everything :(

La scelta è stata fatta anche per questo. Staff molto disponibile e simpatico. Struttura ben organizzata e moderna.

Should have ordered the more spacious room with a larger table. I checked before, that there is no boiler or coffee machine in a standard room, so we took our own.

Honestly expected more for 480 euro per night. The preakfast was limited with no variety. Rooms need to be cleaned , especialy places that hard to reach ( photo attached ). The rooms are smaller than they appear on photos. Some streets around hotel not attentive, though its close to alot of attractions. All of all as third visit to rome cant recommend this hotel for low quality price ratio.

- K8977SSjohnb (10/5): I’ve never encountered a better, more helpful and friendly staff anywhere. - The decor, cleanliness and comfort are only outdone by the superb staff. The location, within walking distance of three excellent restaurants, was convenient to Trevi and Spanish Steps. The desk personnel were fabulous - Gabriele, Ali, and Francesca were helpful, pleasant and friendly beyond all expectation. Dining staff, breakfast offered, were so family like providing excellent food. The bellman, Mauro, a true professional provided a welcome home feeling all the time. The rooms and common areas are excellent in their decor and comfort. If you want to be treated like family, in a beautiful hotel, by people who want to make your visit the best they can then stay here. I traveled extensively for my career and recreationally and can not identify any hotel more comfortable and professional in all aspects. BTW, my wife and our friends feel the same way, we hated to leave.

The hotel is located in a classic Roman neighborhood just steps away from the Spanish Steps and great shopping and restaurants. The staff was exceptional and by the end of our stay, we felt like we were part of the family that owned the hotel! Thank you to Francesca, her Papa, Mama, Vasco, and the entire staff! Their hospitality and service, including local restaurant recommendations made our visit to Rome the highlight of our entire trip!

- Robert (8/5): Beautiful room & terrace, perfect if you want a quiet corner away from the bustle of Rome - Loved the rooftop terrace. The view and the peace and quiet. The rooms were very comfortable, the beds amazingly so. The location is sort of out of the way, which can be great for people wanting something a bit off the main thoroughfares, but the walkable options from the hotel are a bit limited, especially if you have a mobility challenged person in your group - it's among some pretty steep hills either way you walk out of the hotel.
- O6549SHrichardp (10/5): fantastic Hotel - What a fantastic hotel. From the minute we walked in we were greeted warmly by Christina who couldn't have been nicer. Because we were early the rooms were not ready yet which we expected but Christina got us cappuccinos and explained a place to freshen up. Within an hour a room was ready. The rooms was clean and quiet. Christina gave us some suggestions for lunch and reminded us of our reservation for dinner. One reason we chose the hotel was for the rooftop lounge/ bar with a hot tub. We only stayed on night but the breakfast buffet was great and after packing and storing our bags with Christina we laid in the sun in the lounge and waited for our transfer. We had a 3 pm pickup and when the transfer was not there by 3 Christina was right on the phone to make sure they were coming. We cannot be more appreciative of the kindness and warmness of all the staff even though our stay was short.

They had an upstairs terrace outdoors that were we could relax and enjoy views of the city. The hotel was conveniently located. We will definitely stay here again.

- A9141ASkevinn (10/5): Amazing boutique hotel that felt like home! - The Hotel Degli Artisti is such a great place! My family of 4 stayed 6 days and I must say the staff made us feel like we were home! Everyone was friendly while still providing great hotel service, it did not ever feel over done. The room was clean and comfortable for 4. The breakfast buffet was beautiful and good and the morning cappuccinos were delicious. The roof top jacuzzi was refreshing after touring all day and the view of Rome was breathtaking. Last but by far the best part was the little bar on the roof deck. Our bartender Vasco absolutely made our trip, he was always happy to see us. Made us amazing drinks,some we know and some local Italian cocktails that I would not have known to try. Sitting at the bar in the evening and chatting with Vasco about life, music and Italy was the best. We laughed a lot as he so patiently and gently helped me to speak Italian better. He truly made our trip to Rome so much more than I could have expected. Vasco grazie mille!

- ejacshadow (10/5): Hotel Degli Artisti Rome, Italy - What a gem and a great bar tender - Our travel agent booked us and our friends in this hotel and I was a little nervous after looking it up on Google Maps and was a little concerned with the location. Hotel entrance is located in the side of the building with a large rug outside the entrance, identifying the entryway . It was very unassuming, which was a little concerning to me as we have stayed in some really nice name brand properties in Rome. We walked into the hotel and it was very clean and well kept. Just around the corner was the hotel bar...I will come back to that shortly. We checked in and went to our rooms and were pleasantly surprised. Keep in mind, this is a boutique hotel and the rooms are a little smaller and were super clean / quaint. Our room had a smallish sitting room with a sofa, table and TV (which we did not turn on), but the room was great to relax, open the window and listen to the music which was being performed / played close by. The rest of the room was perfect and the bathroom was modern with a great shower. The location was perfect and all my concerns were put at ease. We could walk to most places and felt very safe. Now back to the bar. We walked in to meet our friends and were introduced to Dimitri, at first the bar tender and after our visit, we considered him a friend. I cannot say enough about this individual. He pointed us to a new handmade Italian Gin vs. my always go to gin. We tried different drinks which were made to perfection. We discussed restaurants and he gave us some great ones close by which were fantastic and the price to match, great eats, good wine at great prices. Everyone that was staying at this hotel would always stop in for a drink either before heading out for dinner or stop in for a nightcap. I would highly recommend this hotel to any traveler and stop in and say to Dimitri, what a treat.

In addition, your staff were amazing - friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and very helpful. In fact, the owner's daughter recommended a beautiful beach for us to visit. In particular, I would like to put the spotlight on Alex. In all my years of traveling around the world, I have never before experienced the level of service he provided during our stay. From arrival to departure, he repeatedly went above and beyond the call of duty to take care of our needs. Two specific examples I would like to share: 1) We experienced a complication with our pre-arranged transportation. He made multiple calls to the company, on our behalf, to resolve the problem. 2) He also arranged transportation for us to a beach in Santa Severa. While we were on the beach, I received a call from the transportation company questioning the previously agreed cost of our transportation. I called Alex and, once again, he called the company, as well as our driver, to resolve the misunderstanding. In his words, "It will be taken care of. You just enjoy your time at the beach." Sure enough, it was resolved! Alex demonstrates a true dedication to ensuring your guests, like my wife and myself, enjoy a hassle-free experience. Again, never before have I experienced such amazing service from anyone.
- jamah2016 (10/5): A Beautiful Repose - The hotel is beautiful, on a quiet street, but close enought to walk to the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and the Borghese Museum, as well as shopping and restaruants. We took advantage of that and walked to the fountain and Spanish Steps our first evening in Rome, when it was cool and surpisingly, found there to be no crowds at that time, so we were able to take photos. Our rooms were bright, clean, beautifully appointed and the bathrooms were more spacious and moderh than any we stayed in while in Italy. My 18 year old granddaughter appreciated having her own bathroom and room separate from ours. The rooftop garden and bar was an oasis we retired to every evening. The day we left for Sorrento, Christina called to let us know they had found our passports in the safe, which we had forgotten to check when we left. Our hotel in Sorrento found a driver who was coming to Sorrento from Rome two days later, who arranged with Christina to bring them to our hotel in Sorrento. That saved us having to take the train back to Rome and missing days on the Amalfi coast. which saved our vacation. We will be staying there again. It was our favorite hotel of our trip.

- Epicureously (8/5): Good all rounder - Have stayed here many times and on this occasion was once again a very nice experience. Rooms are comfortable and of decent size. Same for the bathroom. Breakfast has definitely been improved. Only reason for not giving it 5* was sleep quality. Not because the beds aren’t comfortable or it’s a noisy street. Simply because the aircon isn’t switched on in May which means you have to open the window. Cats screeching, birds chirping, rain and wind moving things about. You can’t hear a thing when the window is closed but you boil. For sure 5* apart from that.
