Charming setting, warm and friendly host, very comfortable and spotless room, and a delicious breakfast complete with descriptions of the items and the use of lots of locally sourced ingredients.

- Todd (10/5): - What a magnificent stay! The facility is top-notch, the staff are friendly and attentive, and the neighborhood is clean, safe and luxurious. The grounds offer hammocks, a gazebo and several flower beds for a relaxing stay and great photo opportunities. The rooms are tidy, and well appointed. The decor is a mix of colonial charm and rustic furnishings, and you can tell a lot of thought and planning went into each piece. Each room in the house had a different, charming name. We stayed in "The Muir". The dining room had delicious cookies and cakes available all day, and we enjoyed a healthy home-cooked breakfast before leaving. I cannot rave more about what a great stay we had at this B&B. We will try to book here every time we vacation in Canandaigua.

The bed and bedding is lovely very as was the bath and accessories. The innkeeper and assistant are perfect examples of graciousness, solicitous without being intrusive. Last but in no way least, breakfast each morning was a lovely treat, highly recommend a stay here.

- Matt (10/5): Fantastic! - Our stay was perfect, could not have asked for a better host. The placement of the B+B is walking distance to many shops + restaurants, some places we wanted to go were easier to drive or get a Uber. The overall condition of the B+B was fantastic! Very clean + spacious and definitely holds an antique look with modern amenities. For a couples weekend get away the trip went really well. We are looking forward to visiting Canandaigua and staying at the Oliver Phelps again in the near future!

We stay in the private bedroom 'Muir', very clean, comfortable bed, nice bathroom. The main dinning and living room felt very spacious, it was nicely decorated with early American furniture. Delicious breakfast; cinnamon buns, fruit parfait & gourmet looking egg bacon pastry tart. I would stay here again.

- Ann (10/5): Lovely and relaxing inn - The hosts, Lynne and Bill, are wonderful, accommodating and very helpful. Absolutely no complaints! It's a beautiful old inn, walkable to the businesses and restaurants on Main Street. We went to Canandaigua for a concert at CMAC and we were also only about a 15 minute drive from the venue. Breakfasts were delicious--three lovely courses. They serve great coffee, from Dalai Java down the road, and we had good company at the breakfast table. We had planned this as just a relaxing get-away. We're very familiar with the Finger Lakes but actually didn't do too much in the area this time. We really appreciated the backyard tables and hammock to enjoy our downtime. There's a hot tub (which we didn't use because it was SO HOT during our stay), but that and the deck were also great amenities.

- Paul (10/5): A night in Canadaigua - I had the pleasure of staying at this nice Bed and Breakfast while visiting for my sons graduation. I brought my bike for a ride and was thrilled to find a compendium of rides in a well organized binder. After a wonderful trip through the local hills I reconsulted the restaurant binder and found the perfect place to have dinner after a ride. The proprietors were very friendly and knowledgeable about the region which enhances my brief stay. The room was wonderful and quiet and the breakfast was excellent as well. Thank You!

Bill and Lynne are wonderful innkeepers and the B&B was beyond our expectations. Comfortable, cozy, relaxing, and romantic. We stayed in the Oliver Phelps suite and it was a beautiful room. Felt as comfortable as being home yet a lovely change of scenery.

- Charles (10/5): Relaxing romantic getaway. - We celebrated our anniversary at this amazing Bed & Breakfast while visiting family in the Canandaigua area. Bill and Lynn could not have been more friendly and helpful from carrying our luggage to our room to the gourmet breakfast served every morning. The living room was decorated with antiques and very welcoming to sit and read in the evening after spending the day watching a sunfish sailboat race at the Canandaigua Yacht Club and exploring the town.

Room was very spacious and entire property is very well maintained. Only down side was we selected the largest room (mini-suite), which happens to be located in the front of the Inn, facing a somewhat busy street. Traffic noise was noticeable, but not overwhelming.
- Pam (10/5): Wonderful escape - This was our first experience staying at a Bed and Breakfast. It was enjoyable from the time we drove in to the parking area. First impressions are important and I was impressed. Bill met us outside and offered to carry our luggage in. He chatted with us for awhile before showing us our room. The home was beautifully furnished and incredibly inviting. There were games available to play, books to read, movies to watch, a puzzle set up at a table, comfortable seating areas and delicious cookies and beverages for us to eat/drink at our leisure. Bill offered suggestions of activities in the area and provided brochures for the ones we were interested in. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast was heavenly. Lynne is an amazing cook. She uses fresh produce from local farms and local meats and cheeses. The fresh juices from local orchards were divine. We enjoyed spending time with them and I especially enjoyed relaxing while putting the puzzle together. I would have loved to have stayed there longer! I highly recommend the Bed & Breakfast at Oliver Phelps.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Conveniently located near town, lake, shopping - The welcome was super friendly. The house is large, gracious, and has beautiful grounds and fascinating period decor. Our room had a full-size bed, which for two people felt a little small. Breakfast was served at 9 am, which for us was quite late, but I guess it is standard at a B&B. We are both diabetic, and we found the breakfast quite high in sugar. I think the takeaway was that this was a very nice B&B, but that we are rather poor candidates for staying at a B&B.
