- Mark (10/5): - Excellent
- Thomas (8/5): Good stay at the Sun inn. - Really pleasant pub, great beer, food was good. Room was pleasant, for us a bit noisy because of traffic, given window overlooked road and needing to be open due to warm weather. Breakfast was really excellent.

I didn't have food as I was very tired after my long drive from Edinburgh on my way home to Carmarthenshire but if it is anything to go by breakfast I missed out as my meal in the morning was excellent I've stayed in a lot of big hotels in my time and they could take a leaf out of their book for a small tavern giving you so many choices
It beats them hands down a great big thanks to Dan and his staff

- Helen (10/5): Excellent stay, excellent food. - Stayed 1 night Saturday to Sunday. Free carpark, plenty of spaces. Check in was smooth, room was clean and well presented. Nice little extra touches like hot chocolate and toiletries provided.
We ate here for evening meal, food was delicious and portion was very generous. Would recommend contacting to book a table as it was very busy and to ask if there is any entertainment on. We could hear the singer from our room, but that wasn't an issue for us.
The free breakfast lived up to expectations having read various reviews. Plenty to choose from on the menu. Opted for the full English and it didn't disappoint. Excellent quality, generous portion size and perfectly cooked.
Thank you for a lovely stay.

- E (10/5): Great place - Really nice pub/accommodation. Nuce and clean oerfect for a few bights away. Breakfast was included but i didnt have it.
- Paul (10/5): Nice room in a friendly pub - There are 3 rooms (Cow, Sheep & Pig) and I was allocated Pig. The room was adequate rather than spacious but everything was comfortable and the bathroom had a good shower. There is ample parking and the Inn serves a great evening meal in the conservatory behind the lively bar. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would be happy to return.
- Leslie (10/5): - Nice country pub, great food at reasonable prices.
- Aynsley (10/5): - Shame about the cheap (sticky?) Lino on the bathroom floor and pillows not the best, but other than that, good for the price. Handy for exploring Ellesmere and other meres in the area. Everything you need, good value and nice pub.

- Francis (10/5): Very Positive - A pleasant and welcome surprise, friendly with excellent breakfast. Helpful staff when my wife was taken ill.
- Chris (10/5): - Amazing pub & staff lovely rooms , very thoughtful take away breakfast will definitely return will family
- Jon-Paul (10/5): Great food & Cheap - Having read some of the other reviews regarding noise at the end of the day you’re staying at the pub what should you expect?
I stayed in the cow room. Every time somebody use a hand dryer in the toilet downstairs, you heard it
The other thing to bear in mind is our situated on a main road, so of course you’re gonna hear traffic noise
They do only have three rooms here, but the service they give you a 2nd to none
Dan was very professional in her, greeted me up on my arrival and throughout my stay and experience
And you even get a free breakfast which is well worth it as a breakfast is absolutely lovely and cooked fresh
The only thing I found a little annoying for myself was the fact I had no desk in the room to do any work from but other than that would definitely go back
- Steve (10/5): - Comfortable room in very nice pub. Would love to stay again.
- Simon (8/5): Pig Room not so comfortable - Stayed one night as it is close to my old school for a reunion. I stayed in the Pig Room.
Apparently being in a farming area, each room has an animal instead of a room number.
To all those who have stayed in the Pig Room, you will understand. The shelving is in the wrong place as is the TV.
Swop the TV and shelving around and your guests would not have to strain to see the TV. Also the TV is painfully small.
My biggest complaint was the bed. It was so low. Almost a futon. OK for young people but anyone over 65 who is not physically fit, you have no chance standing up and getting out and off the bed. Not great at all.
- Julia (10/5): - Booked last minute, very clean room. Lively pub. Excellent breakfast
- Anita (10/5): - The staff were friendly and polite, the breakfast was excellent. Our room was basic but was all we needed for a one night stay. Would highly recommend to others
- Carl (10/5): - The sun inn was the ideal place for us as a couple. The room was clean and comfortable and had all we needed. The staff especially Dan were helpful and interested at all times. The food was amazing including a lovely breakfast. The atmosphere in the bar was friendly and locals chatted with us. All in all highly recommended. Thanks for a great stay .
- Richard (10/5): - This was a lovely place to stay, clean and convenient; the staff were very helpful and friendly and the food was lovely too
- Chris (10/5): - I arrived 9:30 pm, was made welcome and still able to order food which was great after a long journey! Breakfast and evening meals were fantastic! Staff are friendly and helpful
- Sarah (10/5): Hidden gem - Hidden gem!
Amazingly priced! well looked after and clean rooms.
Service was very attentive and breakfast was outstanding! Thank you for a welcoming stay and would definitely go back if staying in the area again
- Chris (10/5): - Always a friendly welcome when staying here!
Great food and clean comfortable room.
- Peter (10/5): Fine Ale and a Fantastic Breakfast - From the onset of my arrival to my departure I was made to feel at home.
A selection of 5 ales to satisfy the evening and a breakfast not matched anywhere. 9 different items on your plate as well as toast on the side made this the most fulfilling and satisfying breakfast I have ever had when on the road and I would welcome it again.
I would recommend the Sun Inn to anyone staying in the area and I would even suggest it is worth a detour to say here.
- Karen (10/5): Fabulous short stay - highly recommended - Fabulous - great host , very comfortable and the best Full English breakfast ever ! Highly recommended I will be returning soon
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very friendly and welcoming - I only stayed one night, but the people were very welcoming.
The room was adequate, and the food was really good. Friendly restaurant, friendly bar, did the job, and I'd definitely stay again.
- Julie (10/5): Excellent food - We ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent. Breakfast the next day was just as good with a wide choice and cooked to order.
- Alan (10/5): - Very friendly staff and local patrons
- Joanne (10/5): Good stay - Had a great stay at The Sun Inn for 4 nights as a female solo traveller. The food was very good, particularly the breakfast. I felt comfortable and safe, which is a big thing for me as a solo traveller. The staff were friendly and always found time for a chat with me. I would definitely return.
- Chris (10/5): - Always a warm friendly welcome at The Sun Inn! Room was clean and comfortable, great choice of local ales and beers at the bar. Had a great evening meal, service was good from a polite and friendly waitress! Breakfast be it full English or omelettes( I tried both) is outstanding! Will definitely be staying again and highly recommended
- Kevin (10/5): The lovely Sun Inn - Really lovely pub in a great friendly village setting. Food was amazing (the type you would make a bee line for if I was in the area again!).
Rooms were pleasantly well appointed, with everything thing you would need, but would probably give another pillow option.
The only slightly disappointing thing was that due to the rural setting there would be tractors passing very early in the morning. Probably wouldn’t have disturbed me if I didn’t need to have the windows open as it was so hot. All round though an excellent choice for anyone.
- Catherine (10/5): - Breakfast was excellent and staff very friendly. They even offers to help us carry our bags to the room
- Robert (10/5): Great for a business trip - Great attention to detail and great breakfast
- Christine (8/5): August Bank holiday - Lovely stay, clean room, comfortable bed, great breakfast and dinner. Staff friendly and helpful.
- Graham (10/5): - The best find of the year , lovely food , cracker area , lovely folk , recommend to anyone
- Derek (6/5): - Room wasn’t cleaned to a high level dusting would have made a big difference
Needs updating broken bedroom drawers,4 way electrical extension on drawer unit as insufficient sockets in room
Breakfast was good and more than expected the morning staff were very helpful and very friendly
- robert (8/5): - Nice kid
- Heather (8/5): - Lovely clean room.
Excellent breakfast.
- Paul (8/5): - Rooms were clean and comfortable with tea/coffee making facilities. Evening meal and desert was delicious. The breakfast was mort than expected. The staff were very friendly.
- John (8/5): - Lovely people clean and comfortable
- Steve (10/5): What a gem - This was a business trip, but what a find. For the price it was fantastic and the parking and full English breakfast was included. I will definitely be using this hotel in the future.
- steven (10/5): - Lovely Pub restaurant/B&B with large beer garden. Very popular spot for lunch/dinner. Good local beer and has a proper bar area - it is not just food!. I had a lovely authentic tasting thai red curry - very very good. Also has three rooms (maybe four) nicely decorated, with excellent shower etc. for B&B. Breakfast was massive with quality produce. Highly recommended for stay, or a meal or for a few beers... .
- Jonathan (10/5): Lovely welcoming feeling - Lovely welcome on arrival bedroom in good condition shower works well breakfast was to die for over all great nights stay
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional value - Clearly a family business that is trying very hard to please. Exceptional value and the food including breakfast were good. Would have expected to pay a great deal more for this standard.
- Denise (10/5): Brilliant - Brilliant food great staff friendly licals
- Carlo (10/5): Great stay. Would certainly return. - Very enjoyable stay. Fantastic service at the pub. Great pub grub. Informal family atmosphere. Would certainly return.
- Darrell (10/5): - The whole experience was excellent. Room great, food great, staff friendly. Would definitely go back.
- c (10/5): Lovely English - Other than a squeaky bed ( which I am sure they will rectify) it was an excellent overnight stay. Very friendly staff and locals great food including breakfast
- Stephen (6/5): - We stayed many times unfortunately been let down by the manager as he well knows !
- Paul (10/5): - Good size room and ensuite , friendly helpful staff
- Colin (10/5): - Really enjoyed my stay at the sun inn. I found the service very good. Admittedly I did arrive late so didn’t get chance to have an evening meal although I say they do food till 21.30 which is excellent. I had a lovely breakfast which was prepared by the lovely Babs and it was a credit to her. Hopefully get to stay again soon. Price was amazing by the way
- simon (8/5): - Super place just a little noisey that night because of band music but all good when finished and super breakfast
- Mark (10/5): Superb - Not my first stay at the Sun Inn and as usual it did not disapoint, great food, a clean comfy room and excellent value for money. And the breakfast as usual was epic.
- Pauline (10/5): - The room was comfortable and clean . The staff was really friendly . The food is excellent. We’re definitely going again for the weekend .
- Ryan (6/5): Ok for the price but Cow room was noisy! - Room ok, needed a bit extra cleaning( hair in bath & on floor and cobwebs behind toilet which is noticeable as soon as you walk in) but for the price it was acceptable.
Noise from the toilets below was unacceptable. Very nosy every time the hand dryer was used, noise from the bar into the early hours.
Road noise- window didn’t close properly so noise was bad.
Breakfast was good!
