- Abdulrahman (9/5): Amazing place to stay in Lucknow. - The staff, breakfast and room vintage style. Shower room.
- Vasudev (10/5): -
- Ekta (8/5): Beautiful - Vibe Rooms are small, no bathtub
- Mitra (10/5): Wonderful worth it - Staff curtesy full of old world charm and the resturant for Indian Lucknowi specials and the location. They also hooked us up with an e auto to take us around. That was nice.
- Faisal (10/5): -
- Neerja (8/5): -
- Sutcliffe (10/5): Recommend this stay. - Clean well presented. Easy to locate. Pool added bonus in the heat.
- Meghna (9/5): -
- kareen (10/5): - The hotel itself and the staff Nothing
- Kriti (9/5): Good experience! - Calm ambience in the middle of busy city.
- Richard (10/5): Sheer delight to stay here! - Wonderful location, pool, surroundings, amazing breakfast and all the staff were the best staff we’ve ever experienced!!!
- Abbee (9/5): Excellent stay at a beautiful property with wonderful staff. - Really beautiful, historic property. Rooms very clean. Nothing.
- Soumya (10/5): - This beautiful hotel was a lovely respite from the chaos of lucknow city. The staff were brilliant and friendly, and the heritage building and decor were so stylish and beautifully maintained. Breakfast was excellent too!
- Arun (10/5): Overall good experience. - Location, cordial staff. Their breakfast rate. Published rate is only 150₹ pp, but if you want to buy it is 700₹. This is not at all a fair practice. In most part of the world the rate is same weather you book online or not.
- Loriol (9/5): Très bon séjour - Très bel hotel style anglo-indien. Grandes chambres confortables. Et surtout un petit déjeuner excellent : tout est fait sur commande. La piscine est jolie mais pas assez bien entretenue.
- Alisha (9/5): -
- NICOLA (5/5): Aside from plumbing and f+b service a great hotel. - The location, ambience, decore The F+B service was terrible and slow and all 5 of our rooms had plumbing issues.
- Martin (10/5): -
- chhitij mohan (6/5): - Good food, comfortable stay Expensive
- Archana (9/5): Great stay - It is a offbeat property but exactly what I was looking for. I wanted to stay at a place where I could experience the culture of Lucknow rather than a extremely well appointed Hotel chain.
The property was clean, the staff was very courteous and willing to please.
I did enjoyed walking around the property. It is in a residential neighborhood which makes it more calm and peaceful place to stay.
The food was very nice. The breakfast staff was awesome and the staff was willing to bring me fresh way to order stuff. The only thing I did not like in The Breakfast spread was the tea The front desk staff was extremely courteous but found it difficult to make eye contact with me (woman), and kept reaching out to my husband for communication. The booking was in my name, I was the one who was going to pay the bill. I thought that I should mention this since, I don't think that their heart was in the wrong place but it is just cultural. But someone has to point it out so that we can improve as a community.
I had called the property to inform that I would need a room on the ground floor to a knee injury but when I got there the room assigned to me was upstairs without an elevator access to the room. The staff adjusted well with me and found me a room on the ground floor but I had to change the room on the following day which was cumbersome. The bathroom of the second room given to me was suboptimal given the five star property
On the very last day I was packing for the checkout and hence was but I for breakfast just at the time of closing. One they had changed the location of the breakfast from inside dining room to outside without my knowing so it took me a few minutes to find out which added to the delay. By the time I got there I was told that the breakfast was done. One of Associates was kind enough to get me a cup of coffee and a couple cookies but I would have appreciated some breakfast since most other days the breakfast spread was open way past the closing time. A little more courtesy to serve me breakfast would have been much appreciated.
It seems like smoking is permitted on the premises because one of the guests was smoking in the courtyard early in the morning which really put me off.
- Rajita (9/5): -
- Lisa Fern (7/5): Beautiful Heritage hotel with great staff - Beautiful heritage property!!!
Lovely breakfast and rooftop bar
Excellent staff!!!!! Location was not convenient, nothing able to walk to always need Tuk Tuk or taxi
- Prasad (5/5): -
- Dinisha (10/5): - Just the most beautiful place. Tastefully decorated and wonderful service from the staff. We ordered an extra bed but there was confusion and it didn't get added, so they gave it complimentary
The bar is very nice and chill with a Sunday jazz singer.
Breakfast is excellent and generous The only complaint is that because it often has private events, so you may find the restaurant or bar is not available which can be frustrating after a long days sightseeing
- Ian (8/5): - Lovely hotel and comfortable rooms. Restaurant food and service were excellent. Early on our second morning, our two rooms didn't have hot water, which we reported (one room didn't have hot water the previous evening). Someone came and said the water was warm, implying it was fine, so we reported the problem again at reception on our way out. It was fixed by our return about 2 hours later. The hotel provided complimentary lunch after we asked for a discount, which was appreciated as a gesture. However, the issue should have been addressed with more attention and urgency.
- Varsha (10/5): Loved it - Saraca is worth it! The property is a beautiful old house which is well maintained and absolutely gorgeous.
The food was excellent. The Nihari and biryani is a must try.
But it was the service that was outstanding. The entire team is polite, happy to help and always smiling. Naish, Chitra Chauhan, Ankur and Shyam Ji were people we interacted with regularly. But the ones whose names we did not find out were equally fabulous. Thank you Team Saraca.
- Ramon (8/5): Attentive staff and delicious food - The hotel is beautiful and has an amazing staff. The best part of the staying was the fact that they have the best restaurant in town (Azrhak). Every meal was perfect and unforgettable. Unfortunately the pool was closed for maintenance during this season, so we couldn’t have a swim to respite from the heat.
- Ayushi (10/5): Good experience - Peaceful and beautiful Rooms are not truly as shown, the gardens and courtyards are common areas and not private spaces with room
- Felix (9/5): no heating but otherwise excellent - cozy rooms, good food, helpful and friendly staff, the rooms were a bit cold, a proper heater would help
- Singh (8/5): - Location ,ample place and pin drop silent .
- NItin (10/5): - Heritage
Great service
- Saurabh (10/5): -
- bilal (5/5): -
- Taryn (9/5): -
- Gautham (8/5): - The food at the restaurant is very good. Allows one to taste local cuisine. Room size could be a little bigger at the price point. Better thought to design and storage of luggage Bathroom plumbing problems (flush tank would continue to flush, flush tank ran out of water in the middle of the night)
- Simon (10/5): Luxury in a beautiful historic building. - A beautiful heritage property restored very well, creating an interesting and comfortable hotel, with great staff and excellent food. Breakfast was amazing. The pool area unfortunately lets them down, it could be a fantastic outdoor area, but is sadly a bit neglected and sad.
- Rupali (1/5): - The location The staff is very lazy-i had to carry my own luggage to my room 1hr post my check on as check in
- gower (9/5): great little hotel with best food in Lucknow - great food staff and location. peaceful. TV needs upgrade and wifi patchy. crisp cotton sheets not soft ones
- Sundarraj (8/5): - Location, aesthetic of the property & staff courtesy. Building maintenance & upkeep could improve.
- Rohit (8/5): -
- Hilary (9/5): Good place to stay in Lucknow - The building was attractive and the room was comfortable. Very good breakfast. It just lacked a bit of character and there was no service poolside which would have been nice.
- José Cristóbal Herrera Pino (10/5): A nice place for a pleasant stay in Lucknow - Staff is friendly and happy to assist you
The colonial-style building is very nice
They have a gym. Small, with some weights, bars and machines. It's not optimal, but you can work out
Rooms are spacious and clean The freezer in the room was not working
Gym is small
Maybe, a cupboard with more shelves/drawers may be useful
- Aashita (8/5): - It is the perfectly located property to explore historical Lucknow!
- David (9/5): Best address in Lucknow - Ambince, staff and food are excellent. Ankur, the room manager, was truly exceptional in attending to needs of this regular Saraca visitor! Filming was going on all the time we were there, but zero disturbance. New menu a bit hard to read on an iPhone. Breakfast coffee not great: and too strong for breakfast.
- Mitesh (10/5): Wish it was longer - Beautiful heritage property in Mall Avenue. Centrally located, which is very useful given gridlock traffic. Service and food are excellent and set it apart from the competition.
A special shout out to the Head of Housekeeping, Ankur Verma, and the General Manager, Mr Anand, who made the stay so memorable. Nothing not to like
- Priyanka (10/5): - The place is really good.
Location is great, in the heart of the city.
Rooms are well maintained The time taken for food to arrive at Azrak (the restaurant inside the hotel)
- Amit (6/5): -
- Nitin (3/5): -
- Alison (10/5): -
- Yash (8/5): -
- Bagri (1/5): Poor and deceptive rooms - The only saving grace of our stay was the warm and helpful attitude of the hotel staff other than the front desk — housekeeping and other service staff really did their best within the circumstances.
Unfortunately, the misleading room descriptions, poor quality food and beverages, and lack of accountability make it very hard for me to recommend Saraca Hotel to anyone. We booked and paid for The Residency Room via Booking.com, expecting the dimensions and amenities shown online. Unfortunately, the actual room was nowhere near the size advertised. When we raised the issue, the front desk simply told us that “each room is different” and there was nothing they could do — which felt like a complete scam.
To make matters worse, several in-room amenities were broken. The room service food was bland and tasteless, and the drinks were essentially sugar water with no alcohol in them, despite being listed as cocktails.
- Prianshu (6/5): Good but can be better - Ambience and silence Room size. Earlier it used to be a big room with some space. Room allotted to me kind of small. Also they cut down minor facilities which is important
- shafaghi (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The atmosphere was very pleasant, and the staff were extremely friendly and attentive. The food was an excellent experience, including the breakfast, which we truly enjoyed. Everyone consistently asked if we needed anything and whether everything was to our satisfaction. Everything was spotlessly clean. We even received a lovely personal card from the housekeeper, which was such a thoughtful touch. Overall, it was a beautiful experience, and if we visit India again, we will definitely choose to stay here.
- SANJAY (4/5): -
- Neeharika (10/5): -
- Cate (8/5): great place - it was clean. I liked that they had a gym. The front desk was very helpful. They had a restaurant and small shop on site. I would stay here again. the pool was under construction
- Mahima (9/5): -
- Malhotra (8/5): Would love to return. - Charming old world property. Centrally located, yet calm and quiet. Excellent, knowledgeable staff. Great food. The gym was cramped. And getting an auto or rickshaw for short distances closeby is a challenge.
- Praveen (10/5): - Wonderful Property Front Office Duty Manager Saumya and Shyam
- AJU (3/5): -
- Shahid Beg (7/5): Overall Good - We found the staff to be incredibly polite and helpful, which certainly contributed to a very pleasant overall experience for us. We felt well taken care of and appreciated the assistance provided. Keep up the great work! While there were certainly some positive aspects, there were a few areas that I believe could use improvement.
Firstly, the pool was not operational during my visit. This was disappointing as a functioning pool was one of the main criteria for choosing your hotel, in case of any maintinance, this should be listed on booking website before any booking to avoid las minute disappinment.
Secondly, the breakfast experience was not up to par. It seemed as if the food had been cooked the day before, resulting in a lack of freshness. Additionally, the watermelon served was found to be over ripped, smelling bad and unfortunately made some people ill.
Moreover, the fine dining experience was quite cumbersome. The starters took approximately 1.5 hours to arrive, and the main course took another hour. This resulted in a dinner that consumed a total of 4 hours, which was far too long.
- Bhuwan (10/5): Really nice place, very comfortable. Great food and a family home type of feel - Quite peaceful Curtain, should be a little thick and slightly bigger size to block light from outside
- Kunal (10/5): -
- Sharma (10/5): Calm, serene, comfortable with delicious food. - My parents stayed there and I am so very happy with the comfort and attention to detail, they received at Saraca Lucknow. We look forward to plan a longer stay as a family there.
- Anchal (10/5): -
- Catherine (8/5): Belle surprise ! - Le style colonial L’exiguïté de la salle de bain et le mauvais fonctionnement des appareils électriques et électroniques
- Anuj (7/5): -
- Mayuri (9/5): Beautiful and comfortable stay - Beutiful property with internal veranda...give a homelike feeling. Nothing as such
- Siddharth (10/5): -
- Diego (7/5): Worth the stay - It has quite a lot of charm. I also had a special request for dinner and the chef kindly obliged with enthusiasm. Breakfast was pretty weak and it seemed impossible to get a cup of tea, probably because I hadn’t asked for Chai.
The staff’s English was limited to a few people, probably because few tourists come to Lucknow.
- Tanya (10/5): Great stay - I liked the place, environment and food. staff were bit slow in providing services.
- Edward (8/5): - Noisy construction work during this stay
- Saifi (5/5): -
- Sabyasachi (10/5): Wonderful experience - Great rooms. Wonderful staff. Courteous, efficient and unobstrusive
Great Restaurants and bar
Would love to stay again
- Oznur (10/5): If you’re looking for a quiet place to stay… - It was quite and calm. Staffs are helpful, positive… Nothing.
- Matthan (10/5): Enjoyed every minute! - Great ambience, well-maintained, excellent breakfast, courteous staff - what more could one want? Water temperature in the shower was lukewarm
- archana (3/5): terrible. The rooms smelt like public toilets. - The breakfast lacked the Lucknow flavor. It seems unimaginative. From 2029 till date- the quality of food has fallen. As a Lucknowite a khasta meant a khasta and a puri meant a puri- there was no concept of kahsta puri!
We never have paneer with Puri- it is always aloo. Idli's were terrible. I liked nothing - except the salted lassi. In two days I changed 3 rooms- each one worse than the other. The first room was okay in size- but was like at a railway platform. 112. Then the toilet was stinking- so were shifted to 122 which was as tiny as a doll house. Where there was barely any place to open two suitcases or keep a tea mug, then we were sent to 207 which was a large room with stains on the sofa seats, and one AC that refused to work. At 1 am we had to shift the bed under the AC to sleep. The toilet was again stinking. You need to sort out the sewage problem,
- Graham (10/5): - Beautiful hotel, colonial style, pool lovely, all areas super clean, restaurant food amazing. Thankyou
- Nidhi (7/5): -
- Rohit (10/5): Great place to relax - We had a great time at Saraca. The staff especially Abdullah and Saumya were very attentive and thoughtful.
- ASEEM (10/5): - The hotel was so calming. Did not feel like steeping out.
- Kinshukyi (9/5): -
- Marie-Noelle (10/5): I will certainly return to the Saraca on a return trip to Lucknow - The hotel is a lovely place to relax and enjoy the calm of the beautiful surroundings after a hectic journey. There was nothing not to like. Everything was great.
- Kavya Krishna (6/5): -
- Yermek (10/5): - Отель расположен в хорошом, а главное в спокойном месте, в дали от больших, шумных улиц. Персонал вежливый, завтраки очень вкусные, комнаты чистые.
- Gyanesh (10/5): A Lucknow Gem - Truly enjoyed our stay. It felt like home away from home with service second to none. This heritage hotel is unique bringing back the old Lucknow charm and culture. Extremely pleasant surroundings with well kept courtyards and terraces. Dining hall provided delicious Mughalai cuisine and experience. Highly recommend this hotel.
- Anurag (10/5): -
- Van Geert (9/5): -
- Aditya (10/5): Excellent - Great service overall.
Excellent location, hospitality and exceptional breakfast.
Especially at the restaurant- Shweta, Naveen, Pankaj and Ayush at the egg station.
- Thana (8/5): -
- Benoy (3/5): Great property poorly kept and lousy service. - Lovely old property but poorly renovated and maintained. Staff is untrained and service is nonexistent though the cuisine served at the restaurant was excellent.
