Coccolati e viziati per 4 gg! Sarei voluto restare molto di più! Voglio ringraziare tutto il personale per l amore e la gentilezza riservata. Avevo prenotato un cottage.. e mi son trovato in una casetta in muratura. Meglio avvisare il cliente per cambi di questo tipo all'arrivo per capire se il cliente è d'accordo.. come comunicare eventuali upgrade.. non è carino n rispondere a quanto prenotato. Tra l altro era anche bassa stagione..non penso fossero tutte già occupate. Tuttavia anche la casetta in muratura era lo stesso molto bella per cui siamo rimasti contenti del nostro soggiorno.
- Geneviève (6/5): - Le personnel du bar et du restaurant est très attentionné. Ds les chambres: La tente est bien équipée mais la literie des petits lits est beaucoup trop dure. Les volets ne sont ps systématiquement ouverts la journée ce qui rend la tente sombre et inhospitalière. C’est dommage car la tente ouverte sur le jardin et la rivière fait tout le charme du lieu. L’eau filtrée avait parfois un mauvais goût ce qui ne donne ps confiance sur le fait qu’elle soit changée tous les jours. Restaurant : L’absence de buffet le premier soir avec un choix de menu très limité . Les paniers repas ne sont ps bons et sans eau pour notre journée en safari.

Für Selbstfahrer ist es nicht geeignet, denn Google will einem durch den Park (Eintritt!) führen. Die Straße zum Camp findet man nicht über Google!!!

- Simone Orso (10/5): An unforgettable stay in the heart of Maasai Mara - Our experience at Leisure camp was simply unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, everyone welcomed us with such kindness and warmth that we immediately felt at home. The staff are truly the heart of this place, always smiling, attentive, and ready to help with anything we needed. The food was absolutely delicious, with every meal freshly prepared and full of flavor. We especially appreciated the care and creativity behind each dish, you can feel the passion of the team in every detail. Our room was beautiful and very comfortable, perfectly blending elegance and nature. Waking up to the sounds of the savanna and seeing the sunrise from our terrace was a magical moment we will never forget. And of course, the safari experience made our trip truly special. Our guide, Joseph, was exceptional, knowledgeable, patient, and with an incredible eye for spotting animals. Thanks to him we learned so much about the wildlife and culture of the Maasai Mara, and every drive became an adventure filled with wonder and emotion. Thank you to everyone at the lodge for making our stay so memorable. We left with our hearts full and already dreaming of coming back one day!
- Viktoria (9/5): Great experience, but average food - Mara leisure camp really values a good guest experience. The tents are really cool and very very spacious, so are the bathrooms. Unlike most places we looked at the privacy is good enough to stay with friends. They also do lunch boxes for game drives and even provide it for the drivers. Great massage packages as well. Wifi only in the central area not in the rooms. Dinner is just international buffer, which opens before the advise hence if you come half an hour after the official opening time it’s basically out of food. Most things weren’t restocked as they hadn’t made any extra. They tried to provide something else, but especially with dessert it’s a shame that you miss out unless you arrive early and stuff 3 plates on your table.
- Teresa (5/5): Worst Game drive and safari experience ever - The location was great We paid for a half day game drive but they took us for only one hour and a half. The driver was driving very fast and he couldn't stop for us to take photos. He couldn't also give us any knowledge about the animals. He only focused on driving. We asked him to take us where the other tourists were heading to watch the lions as they were spotted by other drivers but instead he told us that we can do that the next day. It was the worst safari ever considering being out first time there

Stuff in the hotel are all super nice and kind, help with everything you need. Good and nice security.. his job is fighting with baboons mostly. What is also important hotel is always replying emai and contacted me on whats appl, if you have any qiestions before booking and need transfer, game rides, anything, they will contact you explain you everything, offer options and give whatever you need service for reasonable prices. Security staff and general help outside the restaurant was visibly absent - a request for assistance with camera gear was generally ignored quite surprisingly since staff like to work for tips - but believe the camp was quite understaffed especially on the security staff front- new manger running the camp likely still figuring things out

- Kari (7/5): Authentic camping experience and excellent safari guide - Our Safari guide, Joseph, was 10/10!! Thanks to him we had some very lucky sightings including a Cheetah kill! We were celebrating some birthdays and the hotel staff sang for them at dinner and I could pre order a delicious cake for us! The hotel was great at communicating prior to our stay to arrange activities. We booked a Superior King Tent but were given a regular tent room at check-in. Upon questioning this, we were told that the room we booked was destroyed in a flood 6 months prior to our stay. The hotel did not contact us prior to our stay to let us know this and we were not offered any money back for the lower rate room. It said there was a fitness centre when we booked, although I have seen they have taken this down now as this is not true. Bring cash as the card machine does not work.

- Hans (8/5): Excellent location but some racist staff in the restaurant. - Our Masai Game Driver was very knowledgeable and caring. The room was comfortable except there were not enough electric outlet . My partner is African Kenyan and I am white. All the attention at the table was given to me, but not to her only when they realized that my partner was paying the bill and perhaps of showing up on day with her photo gear ( we are both professional photographers) the supervisor is not caring and not doing his/her job.. otherwise this would not happen. a negative is also that there is no wifi in the room.

- Helen (10/5): All in all a great experience to try - The property was in a good position for safari. The staff were really friendly and the food for lunch and evening meals was delicious. The experience at the hotel was really authentic and loved the rented accommodation. We were very fortunate to see monkeys by the pool. The pool was small and cold. Breakfast was quite basic. Drinks were quite limited also. The hotel was really quiet whilst we were there so outside of the safari was too quiet for us… but depends what you like

- GILBERTO (4/5): Be careful! Don't book this hotel - A beautiful property BUT with a very bad management... I was harassed by the hotel front desk manager for hotel payment since arrival- even though I provided proof of credit card payment and payment confirmation from hotel.com too. They ignored it and kept asking me to pay in full before my departure because hotel.com had not paid them yet. This payment issue ruined my stay and my entire trip! I had to spend lots of money on long distance/ rooming calls to try to resolve the issue. As a result, I was able to ONLY go on a morning game drive during my entire stay- going to game drives was the only reason I went to Kenya all the way from the USA and flew 33 hours from here to get there!!!! The issue was resolved basically on my last day when payment was confirmed. Then, after requesting some type of compensation they offered me a free ride to the airstrip in the hotel Jeep ($50 value) but asked me to pay for the entrance fee to drive thu the park which was $80. Then, on my departure date I was ready at the lobby by 12 noon - because their 10:00 am check out rules-. My airstrip transfer arrived at 2 pm and unfortunately IT BROKE in the middle of road and I had a small plane to catch at 3:00 pm. Attached is the photo. I almost missed my flight and consequently my flights to London and then to the USA! This trip was such a nightmare from arrival and the end. There is CERO courtesy to me as a guest having issues not related to me but to the management.
- Tanvir (2/5): worse stay ever - never visited worse place than this. starting from reception all the way down. hidden charges, impolite people, mosquitoes, electric city, guost like at nite, cant get any worse. especillay when you pay double the charges than othar places, and other camp I stayes was half price and 100% better.
- Donna (8/5): Have a 'dawa' at the bar for me when you're there! - The Leisure Camp is well worth a visit. The food was fine, rooms clean and nice, service very friendly (if not always quite accurate!), the barman makes a great 'Dawa' and Pimms and lemonade! The pool was a welcome treat after a dusty game drive. Be ready for the generator to go off at midnight. The only down sides? The Talek River isn't worth being on - little more than a muddy puddle - don't go there for that - and I hope you like a very good quality but super hard bed (unfortunately I don't). The markets in Talek are worth hanging around in on your way through to the park to get a taste of local life. Definitely worth a visit for a good value mid-range stay on the Mara. (But if you're going to sit around outside like I did until the wee hours then make sure you've got insect repellant on - lots of it - ouch!! On the upside you can buy a very good antihistamine at the chemist in town.)
- Michael (10/5): Perfect base for Mara safaris - Food and service were very good - a different menu every day with a wide variety of options available at the buffet. Waiting and other hotel staff were all extremely friendly and accommodating. Expert guiding with Dan... we found the animals the others struggled to find!
