Guest Reviews
- Matt (10/5): Exceptional -
- Roy (10/5): Happy family stay - Host was so helpful and accommodating.
Cottage was comfortable with everything we needed for a lovely stay.
- Forrest (10/5): Exceptional - I would highly recommend this beautiful cottage retreat. It is tucked away in a beautiful part of the country. The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful during our stay. We will definitely stay here again on futures visits to Somerset.
- Nigel (10/5): A great venue, great team and a fabuous getaway. - Easily accessible, full of character and charm. Emma, the host was really welcoming and made sure everything was in order, she couldn’t do enough for us, great service. The property team are exceptionally welcoming . There are no faults as far as we are concerned
- Brian (10/5): Superb - Had a great stay , a welcome pack of bacon bread grapes cereals were best quality . Communication with the property was superb . Property was extremely clean and well presented .
Overall a lovely stay
- Bonnie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mitchell (10/5): Exceptional - We stayed in the Yurt. It was very cosy with the extra touches. The staff was very friendly. The Continental breakfast was very nice. Nothing
- Carla (9/5): A really friendly, considerate and helpful host. A well looked after & kept shards hut. Was perfect for me & my - Clean, comfy, good facilities, free parking on site, great communication and helpfulness from host, very quiet rural & sleepy town. Coffee machine & facilities in room. Lovely little fresh continental breakfast provided. We stayed in winter but I imagine this location is even lovelier in summer months! Nothing.
- Hurst (10/5): Exceptional - Emma was lovely and made sure we had everything we needed. The accommodation was comfortable and beautiful.
- Paul (10/5): Amazing stay - Amazing stay. great location very quiet, bed was so comfortable haven't sleep like for a long time. Loved the breakfast hamper hot croissant (nice touch) yogurt and fruit brought to your door. Emma was really friendly and cant do enough to help.
Will defernite stay again as loved it there. Nothing as everything was perfect.
- Anastasia (10/5): Beautiful - Wonderfully beautiful set up, clean and had everything I needed
- Gabriel (9/5): Pleasant rural environment - Stayed in the 'shepherds hut' at the bottom of the garden. Quiet, pleasant space, with an effective heater and comfortable bed, fold down table, some plates etc and a lovely bathrobe provided (needed as you have to cross to different parts of the garden to wash or go to toilet). Nice little balcony entrance, up a few wooden stairs. It was cosy for one person but I think it would be too small for two, with little space for bags, hanging clothes, sitting. Other accomms on site were larger. Garden with play area would be great for children. There is a well equipped kitchen in a separate building for self catering. Would have been good to have some kind of tap or water supply at the hut.
Be aware that shower and toilet are across the the garden - shower by the main house (use the one closest to the house, as the first one is very small) and toilet in a separate block.
Breakfast is very basic and there's no cafes/shops in town so get your supplies in advance- closest supermarket is in Langport or Bridgewater
- Rachel (10/5): Lovely stay, made very welcome and Emma went above and beyond. - Good use of space and lovely setting Nothing!
- Jeremy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rat (10/5): Exceptional - Really well equipped and compact Shepherd's hut tucked away in a secluded private area. Bed was super comfy with a high spec mattress. Wifi worked fine and had a decent coffee machine too. Breakfast was excellent and was brought to the hut with hot croissants, fresh fruit, toast, juice & yogurt at a time you request. This place is Biker friendly. Customer service and communications were excellent and the owner was very attentive without being intrusive. Nothing, was all very good
- Williams (10/5): Best stay so far!! - We absolutely loved the energy of this place - great family stay for six of us! Emma goes above and beyond to create a beautiful, inviting, cosy environment. Best UK Airbnb we've been to!! We loved our morning brecky's... and the handmade croissants were to die for! The family cottage and carriage were absolutely adorable with every convenience you could ask for. Beautiful hot showers, super fast internet and great laundry facilities and so close to Glastonbury. Thank-you Emma for being such an incredible host We hope to come back and revisit. 🙏🙏
*Highly recommend sunset at Burrow Mump a few minutes down the road. Nothing - we had an amazing stay!

- Eleanor (10/5): Perfect weekend get away - Beautiful little shepherds hut in a quiet garden. Very peaceful and kept away from each of the other dwellings. Easy access to the toilets, showers and kitchen but we didn’t really need to use the kitchen as The shepherds hut had everything we needed.
- Lorna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kim (10/5): Highly recommend. Wish we’d planned a longer stay. - 10 plus for value for money. Loved the rural setting, the warm welcome, the charming shepherd’s hut, the generous breakfast. Nothing. Way above expectations.

- Dario (9/5): Superb -
- Sylvia (9/5): It’s a shame that it’s rainy. Would have been super in the summer and when weather was good. - The grounds, space and facilities. Superb host.
- Campbell (8/5): Very good -
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Katja (9/5): Super friendly owners and a very comfortable, cosy place to stay - we'll be back for sure! - The little touches in the shepherds hut were lovely and added to the cosy flair. Extra dietary requests were catered for lovingly and any other special requests promptly seen to (my dog decided to roll in something on our walk and had to be washed - dog towel, shampoo and hose were at the ready even for this scenario and even the shower was offered to wash my dog without hesitation) - would highly recommend! The hut was a little cold when I arrived but had a heater and underfloor heating too, so was quickly warming up. It's a rustic place, so spiders and other small creepy-crawlies do visit from time to time - something to keep in mind if you have a related fear or dislike.
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional - Hosts were excellent and a great setup.
All three of us were fascinated by the place and wish you all the luck in the future, thank you
- Lisa (10/5): Excellent place - Very good value for money in a beautiful part of the country. It was very comfortable stay and fantastic breakfast by Emma.
- Rocketrob (10/5): Exceptional - REALLY enjoyed staying here, shame it was only for one night, would happily have stayed longer. Host so helpful and we felt spoilt by the hand delivered breakfast. Location of our accommodation (Shepherds Hut) at the end of the garden, meant that it was very peaceful. As it had been a hot day we left the door and windows open and enjoyed a very peaceful sleep. I don't think we discovered everything at the location that was available for guests, but from what we did see,.we would highly recommend anyone stop here. Thanks you to the hosts for such an enjoyable experience. 😁
- Martyn (9/5): A nice place to stay, great hosts! - Hosts are lovely people, nothing is too much trouble.
Superb welcome basket upon arrival, everywhere clean and tidy, quality towels and bed linen etc.
Smart TV's and good WiFi too. I'm struggling to find any criticism but my elderly parents missed having an oven to cook with, to be fair, most people would be quite happy with the hob, microwave, George Foreman grill plus outdoor barbecue and pizza oven!
- Mari (10/5): Exceptional -
- Atif (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, all amenities provided for a comfortable stay with my family. Really peaceful environment. The credit goes to Emma who is definitely a super host. She ensured we got new BBQ tools and also accommodated a last-minute request to bring my nephew along. We enjoyed a nice BBQ on the second day. Overall a wonderful stay. Plenty of activities for families around this area. Thanks Emma for a memorable and comfortable stay.

Short walk to Saint Michaels church, with a lovely public walk just a minute down a short path to watch the sunset.
Can’t wait to come back. Some lovely touches and so close to Glastonbury for all of your spiritual endeavours. Perfect as it is.
- Tony (10/5): brilliant - breakfast was brilliant Emma brought a basket everyday full of fresh fruit, bread and juices, fresh milk and a variety of cereals.A couple of days afterwards emma offered us bacon sandwiches instead of croissants.
