• Cezary (4/5): Bardzo dobra lotalizacja i bardzo miły personel. - Umiejscowienie w centrum miasta. Wielkość pokoju i katastrofalny wygląd klatki schodowej. Hotel znajduje się na piętrze wieżowca a klatka schodowa wygląda jak by nie była remontowana od czasów wybudowania tego wieżowca. Wielkość pokoju z łazienką razem to 2 x 2 m.

• Verified traveler (2/5): AWFUL accommodation - DO NOT stay here - Booked this place for a business trip, location is decent but the conditions are disgraceful. Hotel of horrors! Had to check out after the 1st night and source alternative accommodation due to the vile conditions. Mouldy pillows, mouldy fridge, mould all over shower gel bottles, a man sleeping in hallway on my floor, cockroaches crawling over the water tanks, no hot water and fridge not working, lift not working and having to walk up to the 14th floor with luggage. Switch for hot water not even on the wall properly, what I can only guess to be the smoke alarm covered over in plastic. Let the photos speak for themselves, avoid at all costs!!!!!!!!

• Loraine (4/5): Cheap, Not Comfy, Sketch, But Good Operator - I saw 2 huge cockroaches I had to ask the reception to kill it. He only killed one and missed one. I was never felt comfortable after that. Then the next day there is another small cockroach by my luggage. The hotel is in an old place its like a motel, no windows which I requested and paid for the one with it. They gave me the most regular room. Facility is okay. Hot water is good, AC is cold, and the hair dryer is good too. But the exhaust stopped working on the second day of my stay for whatever reason.

La pieza 2 camas de 1 plaza y un velador al medio con una caja fuerte y secador de pelo. ( 2,5 x 2,5 m) Una ventana de 30 x 30 que miraba al patio interior. Primer día falló el aire condicionado y el segundo se caía la Luz de toda la habitación. Al tercer día todo lo arreglaron. Habían baratas en la habitación. El baño chico con la ducha que caía sobre el wc. Si puedes pagar más, yo lo haría. La ubicación es buena pero si llegas tarde entras a un pasaje de árabes que está lleno de tienditas que en la noche solo algunas están abiertas y da un poco de susto. El personal que nos atendió igual fue amable

There is a big question on the reliability of Hotels.com and its reviews when the "hotel" I booked (chose a bit more pricey one than hostels or B&Bs coz I wanted better) was totally different, much smaller and dirtier than the pictures show, not to mention I did not even stay in Hi-Inn hotel but some other room owned by the business owners. Really convenient for Manila Airport T1 and terminal bus connections, yet did not notice the planes. Helpful and friendly staff. • Giulia (6/5): Terrible building but great position - The rooms are located at the 14th floor of an odd building: at the ground floor there is a multiethnic and busy market, with people bothering you with room offers and fake Rolexes. The elevator is slow as hell, and the first time we had to wait roughly 10 minutes since there was a big line of people. The building itself is dirty and fatiscent, but the rooms are clean (even if very small, as you can understand by pictures) and the staff is friendly. Moreover, the hotel is located in a good position, in a very nice district with nice shops, good restaurants and close to public transport stops, both subway and bus: from the airport you can take bus number A21 (or N21 at night) and the stop is right in front of the hotel! If you arrive by train, you can easily walk from the central station to the hotel.

Stinks of curry - If you like the smell of stale curry.  If you like to stay in a double bed just larger than a single bed.  If you like to weight for the world's slowest evelavtor that only takes 7 or 8 people and services hundreds.  If you don't mind unusual electrical wiring, connections that mean lights flicker with the air conditioning all night.  If the fear of a fire from the many cooking and crammed stalls on the ground floor doesn't trouble you. And if you are ok with stairways covered in rubbish and old food...  This place is a dream made in a shoe box.  The staff are split over a few small hotels and are the only glimmer of hope for the hotel. The location is excellent but not worth the risk this hotel is to your safety. It is part of a nest of small hotels including Hi-Inn and Skycity, Skylark, Skyview and Sky star, hotel venus

• Christian (6/5): - First of all, I don't know if TST or at least Chung King mansion (the building where this is located in) is the best part of town to stay, which I probably should have known since I lived in Hong Kong for a few months in the past. I think Central and surroundings is a better location, but prices will also likely be higher or much higher. I didn't so much like the building the hotel was located in, but the room itself was always very clean and comfortable. There was also a confusion about whether we had the room for 3 nights or 4 nights (we had booked it for 4 nights) which took far too much time to resolve. I was frustrated by the fact that they wouldn't let us stay in our original room the last night (we were moved to a different) even though that size of room was still bookable for the night online.
• KWEECHAI (2/5): Do not stay in Hi-inn Hotel - I booked Hi-inn Hotel but was directed to stay in a hostel/guesthouse. Hotel is not truthful as they have several other hostel/guesthouse which they would send you to.
• Michelle (2/5): Avoid! - The rooms look and are ok for the price in Hong Kong if too small for two sharing. But the building is awful. It's an apartment block broken up into separate 'hotels,' you enter through a busy shopping plaza and then have to negotiate your way to the correct block. There's no guarantee you will be staying in the 'hotel' you booked however. We had booked into the Hi-Inn, Block B but were staying in the Joyous Guesthouse, Block E. The whole set up did not feel right and had we been staying longer than one night we would have definitely gone elsewhere. The corridors are filthy, with wiring hanging in bunches overheard. Negotiating your way to your block is no simple task either, we endured a serious of different lift and stair journeys before arriving at our room in Block E. Please avoid. I have a feeling any high ratings are self inputed by those involved with the building.

• Verified traveler (4/5): Caveat emptor - First, the hotel/hostel is located at Chungking Mansions. The place has its own wikipedia page. Look it up. When you find the entrance, you'll be bombarded by South Asian/African hawkers trying to get you into their guesthouses. They'll tell you that the average rate of these rooms is about $20 and that you most likely overpaid on Expedia. The first floor is really dirty and filled with stalls selling food and etc. The building is arranged into blocks with a bank of elevators taking you to each block. The elevators are tiny and slow. When you finally make it up to your floor, you'll be faced with a dirty and smelly hallway where locals have apartments. Frankly, by most western standards, it's a slum. The hotel and similar guesthouses are basically converted apartments where the squeeze as many rooms into it as possible. The room is basically the size of a bed. There's a faint smell of sewage because of leaky bathroom pipes. The bathroom itself is about 4x4 feet. The shower is basically a hose that you can use to rise yourself standing next to the toilet. For $40 a night, this place is a rip off. For less than double the price, you can get a 3 star hotel in hotel at a similar location. For <$100, you can get a 3.5 to 4 star hotel that's quite comfortable. I originally booked 2 nights (which was non-refundable). Ended up re-booking to a new hotel after the first night and chalked the loss to learning a life lesson.
• Torrey (6/5): - Room was fine for the price but the building is kind of gross. It is a giant old building with hundreds of different small guest houses in it. The reception was nice, but they put me in a different guest house than the one I booked (skylark), not sure if there would have been any difference though. Elevator was kind of a pain as the wait was long each time.
• Verified traveler (4/5): OK for experienced travellers - The usual hotel in tst chungking mansion, do expect extremely shabby places, tiny spaces and some yoga to take a shower. The area is the one where drug dealers go nuts every night and where all kind of vendors approach you very insistently on the road. On the bright side if you search a bit the food at the shops downstairs can be good, cheap and available until late, the staff of the "hotel" is fairly pleasing, and the room is overall fairly clean, left aside the smell coming from pipes. Some may say but this is Hong Kong and this place is awesome cause is cheap! Am sorry... look around a bit, this is cheap yes but you can look for other types of accommodations nowadays and get better deals at a similar price, that's what I did after two days here and it is possible. This is an OK place, you can stay there if you are more the traveller than the tourist, but at the time am writing this place is rated 4.2/5 and to be honest there is no square centimeter of this place that would deserve such a good rating.

Best choice. I like Hotel Hi inn

The building: this is by far the most interesting building we have ever stayed in. As you walk in you would never know you are in Asia. The elevator: it's very small, hot and slow

The place is very near the dining and shopping areas. Access to different modes of transportation like MTR and bus is just outside the hotel.

• Stanley (2/5): Blade Runner meets windowless prison cell - If you've dreamed on visiting the set of Blade Runner this place is for you. The building is confusing and disgusting. Finding the unit is difficult, checking in is tricky and the rooms are like prison cells with loud but ineffective AC. Worst hotel experience of my life. We left early because the room/building was so terrible. I can only believe they have a high rating on hotels.com because they have created fake reviews.

• Glaiza (10/5): Value for Money, Good Deal - As expected the room is small, but surprised is very clean. Mostly what you need can be found inside the room. What you pay what you get, I don't expected more. But I believed Hi-Inn done a great job, they give extra care & smiling face all the time.

Location is very accessible to everything from night out bars, shopping malls, restaurants, train stations and bus stops. Hi-Inn is highly recommended for group of friends with tight budgets but at the same time getting their value for money.
• Jennifer (10/5): Clean hotel with everything you need - I had a pleasant stay. Except for the people downstairs and the elevator everything was fine. Very quiet for being so central. I would come again and can only recommend it for others. Of course there isn't much space in the room but that is the same everywhere in Hong Kong due to the tax.
• Oscar (10/5): The best in Chung King Mansion - I stayed in different properties in Chung King Mansion, the best is Hi-Inn. They provided the best services, strong wifi, clean room, free local calls, free distilled water, etc. Staff - Papu very helpful and nice guy. He provided excellent services. The location is very good, easy to access any shopping mall, bus stop, MTR station, Star Ferry, etc.
• Abigail (10/5): Worth to stay in Hi-Inn and Great Choice - When I arrived at hotel then found out I lose my passport at HK Airpport. Just few minutes, they already contact with Airport and found my passport. I really impressed & appreciated their services. The room is small but really clean. Strong wifi, superb price, nothing to complaint at all.
