Guest Reviews
- Evan (10/5): - Wonderful place with a gourmet breakfast everyday. Anthony is wonderful.
- stephanie (10/5): - Nice B&B. 3rd bedroom- hard wood floors. Very clean bathroom. Older furniture- some modern touches would be nice. Very good breakfast/ huge portions! Easy walk to beach and restaurants/bars.
- Ulrich (10/5): - Great location, very nice room. We had a great time. The breakfast was wonderful. My only suggestion is to extend the time breakfast is served.
- Xiaogang (10/5): - Just had a wonderful day. Hotel is at a perfect location and we could walk everywhere with ease. Inn keeper does a fantastic job and serves us wonderful breakfast everyone. Would stay again.
- Julie (10/5): - Such a great stay! Perfect location, nice room, delicious breakfast.
- Andy (10/5): - Place was amazing and the breakfast was better!
- Benjamin (10/5): - The Inn is very close to the downtown portion of Ogunquit (and not a far walk to the Marginal Way, which takes you down to Perkins Cove). Room was very comfortable with a smart tv and small refrigerator. Highlight was definitely the breakfasts, which were very hearty and delicious! We had yogurt parfaits with warm fruit followed by a hot breakfast both days. Would stay again!
- Daniel (10/5): - I’ll be going back for the gourmet breakfast that is included!
- taylor (8/5): - amazing breakfast! great place to sit on the front porch
- John (10/5): - Great location……excellent breakfasts!!
- Keith (10/5): - My fiancé and I love The Scott Hill Inn. The hospitality Is amazing, Anthony is a amazing and you will not be disappointed. It's such a laid back vibe. The best breakfast we've ever had at any B & B hands down!! We highly recommended this place!
- Theodore (10/5): - We thoroughly enjoyed our visit!

- Brandon (10/5): - We had a fantastic stay at this property! The staff (Anthony in particular) is great! Friendly, professional service; excellent food; great location for easy beach access, shopping, and dining! This is a true gem in an ideal location!
- John (2/5): Disappointed - Initial reaction was very poor. My credit card was immediately charged.
Greatly dismayed on entering the room, was advertised as small queen, but bed was jammed between the wall and the door (one of us had to climb into bed from the bottom!)
Requested a change of room which was refused. We asked to leave early but were told the hotel would have to pay hotels.com the full price.
The bathroom was so small the wash hand basin was in the small room. There was no storage space and it was difficult for both of us to negotiate the room simultaneously.
Signs on the door including that the room would not be entered until after we had left! Towels had to be taken downstairs to be replaced.
The room was not particularly clean with dust on the surfaces.
Altogether a very poor experience - we are both in our 70s.

Altogether the worst hotel experience of our lives (we are both in our 70s).
Hotels.com should seriously reconsider this venue.
Absolutely, completely disappointed.
- Ruth (10/5): - This B&B is a total gem and we would highly recommend it. The breakfasts were beyond amazing. Loved the access to 24/7 tea coffee and water. Would definitely stay again.
- ronald (10/5): Great stay - Anthony runs a delightful b&b. Breakfast was great. Convenient location. A/c and ceiling fans kept us cool despite heatwave. Ogunquit has it all.
- Karen (10/5): - The inn keeper Anthony was such a great guy. Had breakfast and it was different every day and very good. You could sit outside if you wanted on on the porch. Definitely would stay there again. Walking distance to the town and beach
- Isaac (10/5): - Amazing little gem in Ogunquit ! Anthony is a wonderful host and makes you a gourmet breakfast!
- gena (8/5): Lovely town - This was our first time to Maine. Ogunquit is a lovely little town. Lots of places to walk. Beautiful beach and waterfront. Many nice restaurants.

situated perfectly on the quiet end of the busy main street!), easy walk to the beach.
- Ken (10/5): - We especially appreciated the incredible breakfasts and the knowledge of Ogunquit which Anthony (the chef & innkeeper) shared with us.

- Tammy (10/5): - A gem of a find! On Main St in the centre of town of Ogunquit. Next to shops and restos. Owner Anthony and Rita were very gracious with attention to detail. Large umbrellas in case of rain, beach towels, beach chairs provided. Parking space. Highlight of our stay were the superb breakfasts made by Anthony. The best waffle, blueberry lemon pancakes and hazelnut French toast I have ever tasted. Started with yogourt, homemade granola and either a baked apple, pear or fresh fruit.
Lovely and relaxing experience.
- Michael (8/5): - It was perfect for me as a single traveler. Walking distance to most places I wanted to visit. Anthony the owner was easy to talk to and very helpful with any questions you may have. I would definately go back to this place anytime I am looking to go back to Maine.
- Rosemarie (8/5): Nice and convenient! - Very nice stay. Big home cooked breakfast with friendly hosts. Very convenient to town.
- Jeff (10/5): - Anthony and Rita were so kind and accommodating! The room was fantastic and convenient to town and beach. Breakfast was exceptional!!
We’ll be back!
- Florence (10/5): - Magical week at the Scotch Hill Inn!
Hosts are not only courteous but kind and very helpful. The breakfast, which is included with the room was unbelievable!
Every morning, we were excited to see what Anthony had chosen to prepare! Meals were elaborate- definitely some of the best breakfast meals I have had. We stayed in the deluxe queen studio- it has its own entry and allows lots of comfort and intimacy/ perfect for longer stays! The inn is clean and well equipped for the beach (towels, chairs, boogie boards). Worth mentioning is the short walk to the beach too! There’s chips, coffee and tea 24/7 and sometimes you will even have a surprise snack courtesy of the hosts. Thank you so much once again and we hope to come back very soon!!
- Allan (10/5): - We were made to feel at home from the moment we arrived. The room was great, breakfast was delicious and the location to downtown Ogunquit could not have been better.
- Sherry (10/5): - We highly recommend this bed and breakfast.
The owner is an excellent cook, it is in a central location near the beach and it has an abundance of amenities.
- Susan (10/5): - We stayed at the Scotch Hill Inn during Oguinquitfest. Our room was very comfortable. The two full breakfast were wonderful, probably the best breakfasts that I have ever had a B & B. On Saturday, the eggs were to be done over easy, I asked if it was possible for them to be scrambled and the chef happily made them. On Sunday, with eggs Benedict on the menu, I asked for just the English muffin and ham. Well didn't the chef surprise me and make them with scrambled eggs. I so appreciate Rita and Anthony going "out of their way." to ensure our stay was memorable. Thank you.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very enjoyable, super clean, outstanding breakfasts!
- Douglas (10/5): - Ogunquit at its finest. Location is perfect, house is e trembly neat and clean.
- Christina (10/5): - Our 1st stay at a B&B was amazing. The breakfasts were amazing. The staff was welcoming & anything we needed they offered. We highly recommend.

- Marie (10/5): - Home away from home. Cozy and full of warmth. The beds are so comfy. Delicious breakfasts. Rita and Anthony are the kindest most wonderful hosts.
- Mark (10/5): - Beautiful place amazing food lovely people. I wouldn’t stay any other place
- Susan (10/5): - Anthony is an amazing cook. Breakfast was DELICIOUS.
- Erica (10/5): - The food and location were fabulous. Anthony, the owner is warm and generous!
The inn is very clean and comfortable.
- Jean (10/5): - Anthony and his mother are just a fantastic pair and great hosts. Anthony prepares a fine dining experience for breakfast every morning! Believe us, you won't need to have lunch when you stay at the Scotch Hill Inn. The Inn is quite charming, wood floors all over, you can sit out front on the rocking chairs, have a sip of wine in the garden. It is a 5-6 min. easy walk to the beach and just far enough from the hustle and bustle of the dynamic Oqunquite restaurants and bars (all at a walkable distance). We enjoyed our 3-night stay at Scotch Hill Inn. Again thanks to Anthony the Chef and his mother.
- Laurie (10/5): - Location is in downtown and so close to beach! Breakfasts were delectable and lovely on the screened in porch!
- Mark (10/5): - We had a wonderful post-Christmas visit. The Inn was cozy, with a nice fireplace to relax by in the common are. Our room was very comfortable, cozy as well. Anthony the innkeeper made us excellent breakfasts. And the location was within easy walking distance to the beach and heart of Ogunquit. It was the perfect getaway. We’ll definitely be back.
- Robert (10/5): Very Nice! - So convenient and comfortable. There is some road noise but that is workable. Highly Recommended.
- Barbara (10/5): - Breakfast was amazing!
- Kim (8/5): - As in many older/historic B&B's, the floors were a bit creaky, sounds traveled easily. However, the room was lovely and clean, the owner was super responsive and made wonderful breakfasts. Had a lovely 3 days and met very nice guests that stayed there as well. And very walkable to town, beach and marginal way.
- Regina M. (10/5): - The room was very clean, nice and quiet and the food was awesome! Walk everywhere in the quaint town. Lots of great dinner spots.
- Jessica Lynne (10/5): - Anthony's breakfasts were AMAZING! We met several new friends while dining out on the covered wrap around front porch. Highly recommend!
- Sandra (10/5): - Breakfast was lovely!
- Arthur (10/5): Excellent Stay - We spent two nights in Ogunquit and were very pleased with our decision to stay at the Scotch Hill Inn. Anthony is a very friendly host and his breakfasts were superb. The location is close to everything and we never moved our car until we checked out. We highly recommend this BnB.
- Verified traveler (10/5): A perfect visit to Ogunquit! - The Inn is located in a prime location that allows for easy walking anywhere in town and to the beach without having to get into a car. In addition, the Inn was very clean and we were very happy with our room. The best part was breakfast! Absolutely delicious! Anthony, told us he used to be a chef and, his talents were are full display during breakfast time. Not to be missed!

- Verified traveler (10/5): - A pleasant laid back B&B with the best breakfast in town. Easy walk to the center of town, but well out of the center-of-town noise. No trouble accessing everything from Kittery (ME) to Bailey Island (ME) from this home base.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful 130 year old home. Proprietor is friendly and offers wonderful homemade breakfasts! Location is in the heart of town and everything is within walking distance. Also, there is parking onsite. Highly recommended.

We were treated to fantastic breakfasts every morning, fresh baked cookies in the afternoon. They even gave us a bottle of Champagne for my birthday. We highly reccommend Scoth Hill Inn and can't wait to return!!!
- Dr Gary (10/5): Stay at the BEST in Ogunquit. Not to be missed!!! - An amazing stay that is reminiscent of home. Anthony and his Mother, Rita, could not have been more generous, kind, and accommodating. From the quick check-in, quaint clean charming room to the hearty, bountiful breakfasts, there are not many Inns or B & B’s that could compare. Homemade cookies, complementary wine, scotch, seltzers, teas, and coffees 24/7 with an array of homemade cookies. Bring your appetite! The homemade breakfast made from
the garden and natural ingredients is a sight and flavor to behold. You will be full all day. There are plentiful towels, beach chairs, and umbrellas that guests can use. The location is awesome, great WiFi, and plenty of free parking so convenient to everything Ogunquit has to offer. A stay here is not to be missed!

- Verified traveler (10/5): - We had a fabulous stay at Scotch Hills. Beautiful B&B. Rita is the sweetest most gracious inn keeper. Anthony makes the most wonderful breakfast. We felt so welcomed and at home. If we ever are back in Maine we definitely will stay here again. I can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay. It is so close to shops, restaurants and the beach. All within walking distance. The trolly is right nearby as well. Loved staying here. Maine is gorgeous.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - The Scotch Hill Inn was the best place I have ever stayed in in NewEngland. Tony and Rita made us feel like family as soon as we got there. The inn was very nice and clean. The breakfast were excellent gourmet not run of the mill eggs bacon and bagels. We can't wait to go back.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Ogunquit Getaway - The inn is more like a lovely micro-hotel within the walls a beautiful victorian home. We felt so pampered! The breakfast options were creative and delicious, our bed was sooo comfortable, and staff was wonderful.
We hope to return soon!
- Jeffrey (10/5): - Not only were refreshments included within the price bountiful and constantly available, but the included breakfast varies from day to day, and goes way beyond what full breakfasts normally include (and are also ample).
The location is just a couple of blocks away from the intersection we consider the center of town.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The innkeepers are so friendly and welcoming. I asked if I could check in early, and they accommodated me without a problem. They also let me leave my car in their lot for a few hours after checkout so I could spend some more time at the beach before heading home. The breakfasts were delicious! My room was clean and comfortable (ac kept the room nice and cool). The location is perfect—easy walk to shops, the beach, and the Marginal Way. Towels, beach chairs, umbrellas, snacks all provided. I will definitely be staying here again!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Scotch Hill Inn - It was an excellent visit with my mother. The owners (mother and son)
very nice. The breakfasts are amazing and different every morning.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location, great service, very clean ,the breakfast was unbelievable
- Mark (10/5): - My wife and I planned a last minute trip to Ogunquit with some friends. Normally we stay at a hotel because of kids but this trip was just the two of us so we looked at the Scotch Hill Inn as it was one of the last places with availability for 4th of July. All we can say is WOW. This place was amazing. Both innkeepers were so nice and friendly and truly cared about giving an awesome guest experience. Breakfast was included but it was not your run of the mill continental fare. They served a delicious breakfast each day. They gave two choices: A griddle item like banana coconut pancakes or an internationally inspired breakfast like Spanish eggs and beans and vegetables. All were served with fresh fruit, yogurt and homemade granola. Excellent!!! Rooms were spotless as were the grounds, the beautiful deck and common areas. Only minutes away from shop and beaches. Will totally be going back. 10 out of 10 !!!!!
- Erica (10/5): - Best B&B I've ever stayed at. The location was perfect. Right in downtown near the Front Porch, Maine Street, and all the restaurants. My husband and I came for our 1 year anniversary and have never stayed in Ogunquit. Anthony had plenty of recommendations for us on where to eat and what to do.
I told them it was our anniversary and they had a bottle of champagne waiting for us in the room at our arrival. We booked the Deluxe Queen room and were in room 4. It is on the third floor and there is no elevator so request a lower room if you have trouble with stairs. The room was very clean. The bathroom had an old fashion clawfoot tub in the middle along with a stand up shower on the other side. It felt very luxurious.
Breakfast was on the porch outside and it was like a gourmet restaurant. Rita served us roasted peaches with yogurt and granola and two choices for meals. Everything was fresh and made from scratch.
Scotch Hill had anything you could need available to you. It is like staying at a friends house. We were greeted by Anthony when we walked in and showed to the dining room where there was a Keurig and Tea available 24/7 along with waters, seltzer, sangria, wine, liquor, and cake. He told us we can help ourselves to anything there at any time. They had backpack chairs, beach towels, umbrellas, and body boards available to take to the beach
They did everything to make us comfortable and we really felt like we were staying at a family member's house. I highly recommend!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful Inn within short walking distance to town and beach. Attention to detail and cleanliness was superb. The breakfasts each day were absolutely gourmet, fresh, and beautifully presented. Wonderful common areas. Very hospitable, warm, and welcoming. Snacks, teas, coffee, and wine also provided. There was nothing that fell short, nothing.
