• Deborah (4/5): - We made two, one night reservations at this hotel and two other couples made their own reservations directly through the hotel. When we arrived, they only had one room available and said that we 'broke their system' by reserving too many rooms. The only saving grace is that it was low season and the owner had family members that owned hotels close by. One couple was given a Room at the Modernity, one couple was at another hotel and the third couple was given a room at a third hotel. All were fairly close by, but there is no excuse for this. All of us had been in contact with the hotel via email for a couple of transfers. They did send someone to meet us at the airport but didn't tell us about the hotel mixup until we tried to check in. In fact, the owner blamed us for the issues, never really accepting his errors. Again, we were very greatful that it was low season and the owner found an acceptable resolution.
• Mariana (10/5): - Spectacular view. Private. The Perfect place in Santorini! Close to many restaurants, bars and shopping. Delicious breakfast and amazing service. Will be back as soon as possible. The view from the jacuzzi is incredible. Spent 4 nights there with my family and they loved too.
• Helen (10/5): Excellent location and views. - Excellent option for an excellent view and right in the heart of town. There were three of us and we had one of the larger rooms as pictured on the site. Modern boutique style which I like. Vladimir was very friendly and helpful. Concierge is not on site all day if that is something you desire (we didn’t care and our texts were always acknowledged and assistance was provided when needed). There are STEEP steps as expected so caution to people who can’t handle that. The breakfast was a la carte and you had to order the day before. I felt the options were good. This was my third time in Santorini. I recommend this boutique style hotel.

The rooms are spectacular and cozy and gives you a feel of how its like to live in Santorini. The breakfast they offer is very great and tasty. I high oh recommend this establishment to anyone.

• Crystal (10/5): - Location is superb, right in the heart of Fira, so many shopping around and just 2 mins walk to the Main Street. The only down side of the property is so much narrow stairs up and down makes it hard to move big suitcases. Ada who was our contact person during the stay was gorgeous, she took care of us even before we arrived. She sent us a lot of good info about car rental, activities to book, dining places, and arranged transportation from the port for us. Breakfast menu has a large variety of choices and we loved it being served till 11am. The room is lovely, spotless clean and our plunge pool faces to the caldera which was a bonus for enjoying the ocean and sunset. During the night even it is in the center of Fira, it’s so quiet probably due to their building construction. We rented a small car for 2 days which I recommend to do so as it made our life easier to get around between Fira, Oia, and the beaches. Parking is sketchy though, we parked at the lot across the McDonald’s which was suggested by Ada but that parking lot is popular and people kinda park “very freestyle”, glad that we had a small car. Overall we enjoyed our stay so much, we definitely will come back.

• Ryan (6/5): Incredible views in a fantastic location - Amazing views! Location was awesome, quaint rooms, delicious breakfast, and very friendly staff, Ada gave lots of great recommendations! We were here end of season when it was a bit chilly, wouldn’t call the hot tub hot… it was only warm.

Kunne kontakte eier til et hvert tidspunkt og fikk bistand med alt fra transport til og fra flyplassen til bestilling av aktiviteter og anbefalinger til mat og opplevelser. Meget fornøyde!

• Angela (10/5): - Loved staying here and would stay again! The hotel staff was excellent, the breakfast was delicious and the rooms were exactly as pictured. It can be loud at night so might not be the place for you if you want quiet! Also, the pool/hot tub discolored our swimsuits so wear dark colored ones.

• John (10/5): Hoping to come back. - Can’t say enough good things about it. With only four suites they are able to provide a level of service that is perfect. Ada and Alex take such good care of the guests. The location is great. The view is great. The breakfast was great.

• Allison (10/5): - BOOK THIS NOW!! It is absolutely, hands-down the best experience. The views are breathtaking. The breakfast and delivery make you feel like you are royalty. Upon arrival, the manager sat down with us and gave us a complete tutorial on the island, where to go, how to get there, suggestions, etc. She was able to get us a great discount on a tour that was the highlight of our stay. She was always available if I had questions during my stay. Mr. Alex was so sweet and carried my very heavy suitcase up all the stairs for us without a whimper. I could not have been happier with my stay and if I could give them more stars, I would. If you are even remotely thinking twice about booking here, do it! You will not regret your choice.

• Michael (10/5): - We had to check in late after a flight cancellation, and from the beginning, Ada was so helpful setting up a late-night transfer from the airport and providing check-in instructions so that we could get into our room after hours. Throughout our whole stay, Ada was responsive and provided excellent recommendations. We LOVED our room and patio - the view was phenomenal and we enjoyed eating breakfast there each morning. This hotel is very close to the heart of Fira, but removed enough that we never had issues with noise at night. I can't recommend it enough! We would never stay anywhere else in Santorini - our stay here was absolutely perfect.

• Verified traveler (4/5): Disappointing stay - Overpriced & underwhelming stay (outside of the view). The receptionist broke our luggage as well. This property could use some TLC! We would not consider it a 4 star. The hot tub jets did not work & the water in the bathroom/shower was often cold! No vegan breakfast options. We did appreciate the employee helping us locate & organized delivery our lost luggage.

• Jacquelyn (8/5): - The hotel itself was an absolute DREAM! Super easy check in made even better by an incredible host, Panos! The grounds were immaculate and our view from our cliff side jacuzzi was to die for! You got to pick your breakfast and it would be delivered at a time of your choosing the next day by the wonderful Panos. The ONLY issue we had was that there must have been nearby clubs because despite being in a stone room, we heard the incessant base from techno music until 6 in the morning each morning, enough to drive you crazy! Which is truly a travesty because it has nothing to do with the hotel itself, which, as mentioned, is an absolute dream from the view, amenities, host, and room.

• Miss Samantha (10/5): - We honestly don’t know where to start when reviewing this property. We have so many positives about our stay. Initially the view completely took our breath away, we couldn’t believe the location of the property. It’s a view you just don’t tire from it’s beautiful and fortunately the view doesn’t jeopardise the privacy of the apartment which is great. It’s very easy to be overlooked by others in Santorini due to the infrastructures of the island however, this is not the case as Modernity, you get the privacy needed to feel comfortable to sunbathe comfortably. The staff are amazing, so hardworking and accommodating, they go above and beyond to make your stay perfect. We would definitely recommend Modernity and hope to return in the near future.

• Omar (10/5): Amazing place with a spectacular view! - Although a little small (a studio approximately 10ft x 10ft) it is everything you want in a vacation spot. The staff was super friendly and helpful from before arrive till check out. We went for a birthday celebration and the manager helped plan a surprise gift basket before arrival which was there upon arrival. The breakfast was amazing and was eaten outside with a fantastic view. In the heart of the city you are walking distance from everything! A 10 min walk from the bus stop, you can travel all over the island for less than 2 euro. It has the highest recommendation for anyone visiting the city!
• Verified traveler (10/5): - Outstanding views and very welcoming staff. Delicious breakfast was brought to our room (Superior Suite) every morning by Panos. He was very friendly and accommodating. Lots of steps through a tiny stairway downwards to get to our room but that's usual in Fira. Walking distance to all restaurants and shops in the center. We had a lovely time!

• Simon (8/5): Amazing views! Central location- a must stay! - 3 night stay at these Suites - only 4 in total so you will probably never see the other guests as you have your own hot tub/jacuzzi. You will need to organise a transfer as you don’t want to lift your luggage up a steep hill. We had the Junior Suite ( and told best views out of the 4). Very surreal surroundings, hot tub a little small but the views made up for it. Highly recommendable- oh and the breakfast is for kings!! The suites are only staffed 8am-6pm so be aware if you need anything after this you will need to usually wait til morning unless an emergency.

Breakfast served in bed with a selection of choices. But at a fixed timing of 9-11am, we had to go out earlier on some days and the prepared the breakfast for us the night before.

I would stay at this place again in a heartbeat. The location is central to so many restaurants, bars, shops, clubs, etc. Everything is within walking distance.
