Guest Reviews
- Joy (10/5): We were within walking distance to the venue. Our room was very clean and the staff was very nice. We will stay here aga -
- Marlin (2/5): -
- Dale (10/5): - I actually didn't get to stay
- Kistler (8/5): - No breakfast setup No phone in room
- Linda J (4/5): - Good pricing and location Needs updating: rooms shabby, carpets dirty, bathroom cleanliness sketchy.
- Bennita (6/5): - They didn't serve breakfast. The pictures of the place are a little misleading.
- Tanysha (6/5): Affordable, available, comfortable but it’s no Holiday Inn. - It was extremely close to the music venue. Walking distance with a Family Dollar in the same parking lot. Water pressure and temperature in the shower needs addressed!
- Sherrie (9/5): - Bed was soft, water for shower was nice and hot, can't hear neighbors . Location was nice
- Randall (9/5): Overall good experience. - Cleanliness and location Need a chair in the room.
- Jo Lynn (8/5): It was very convenient for our overnight stay in Nashville. - Perfect hotel for visiting the Nashville concert venue. Walking distance. Hotel is not fancy or new but VERY adequate for an overnight! I would recommend it!
- bleemel (7/5): -
- Rose (6/5): It was ok - What breakfast?? very small tv
- Lynette (5/5): - No breakfast or coffee in room. Location was great. Very old and outdated. Could see daylight under door. Outlet was pulled out of the wall. When booking it said 95.00 but paid 150.
- Brandi (10/5): -
- Erin (1/5): DO NOT STAY HERE! - Nothing We arrived to the property and instantly felt unsafe. The outside of the building was disgusting. Home was people with grocery carts hiding in the end caps of the stairwells. We witnessed a patron doing drugs in their vehicle. When we requested cancellation as we felt very unsafe to even enter the lobby. I was denied cancelation and forced to book a room elsewhere for twice as much money. It was a complete disaster and I wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay here or even drive through the property.
- Marlin (5/5): -
- Paul (6/5): For the price and location it's ok - The good ,Well it's about as close to the music center as you can get, our room was clean, the room did have a little fridge and a microwave, The attendant was attentive, or at least he got our TV working The bed was rather dated I think and lumpy, I tried for a room on the lower level as my wife is disabled but no luck..
- Melissa (10/5): Very close to the Brown County Music Center and Downtown Brown County. Reasonable rates. A little out dated but zero com - Close to the Music Center where we was going to see Matt Mathew’s We was very pleased with our stay.
- joyce (5/5): -
- carolyn (8/5): - stairs
- Susan (6/5): - Bed was comfortable Over priced, fan in bathroom was very loud, people outside talking late into night and early in the morning. Floor in bathroom cracked
- LARRY (4/5): Disappointing, not worth what it cost - Room inside was better than hotel outside No breakfast. Outside looks like a nonfunctioning abandoned building.
- Fawn (6/5): It was fine for one night - Nice staff Needed updated
- MIKE (1/5): It’s terrible place and expensive. - Nothing There was open wiring on the ceiling and walls. Light fixtures had no shades. Outlets didn’t work, bathroom ceiling was falling in. That’s just the start of it.
- Wendy (1/5): Never stayed. Got out as soon as possible. - The outside had furniture, carpet and mattresses outside most of the rooms. Major renovation going on and there was nothing that stated this during booking. I told my husband to not check in after he sent me the picture but it was too late. I called him And told him to check for bed bugs. Sure enough there were bed bugs. My husband and my daughter pulled the mattress cover back. There was a large blood stain, food, dirt and bed bugs. They couldn't get out of there fast enough They went to the front desk to get a refund. The manager told them okay but then the owner came out and said they don't have bed bugs because they sprayed for them and he would not give a refund. After arguing he left. This was 2 days ago and we are waiting to hear back on our refund. My daughter and husband never stayed. I was to join them the next night but based on the hotel issues didn't go. After looking at hotel.com reviews, we found where consumers shared their bed bug experience at Salt Creek Inn. I would not put this hotel on any booking site until they are done getting rid of the bedbugs and renovation. Disgusting and horrible customer service.

- Rebecca (5/5): Was a nice impromptu short getaway with my husband. - Location was great. We were able to walk to nearby grocery store after eating our evening meal at local restaurant. The hot water was very hot and felt great on sore backs. This hotel definitely needs some love and remodeling. Very outdated. There was a gap in the bottom of exterior door that rodents or bugs could easily come inside.
- Angela (7/5): -
- Moon (1/5): Awful! - The place is filthy, dirty, old and disgusting. The chairs were so dirty I wouldn’t sit in them. The carpet was filthy. Toilet paper roll empty with no backup. Windows were so dirty I couldn’t see out of them! The place needs to be completely remodeled or TORN DOWN!
- Felver (3/5): Too much money for an old rundown place - Location was great Smelled like cigarettes, no coffee in room
- Diana (5/5): Won’t book there again - Room was clean The whole place isn’t attractive.
Nothing like we were expecting.
- Tammy (5/5): - The bed wasn’t comfortable
Too many loud dogs
- mark (1/5): -
- Reed (5/5): -
- Heidi (10/5): - Affordable, convenient and close to downtown, perfect for a one night stay to visit Nashville
- Jennifer (10/5): - Don’t judge a book by its cover. The Salt Creek in has been around for awhile but our room was recently remodeled and everything was immaculately clean. The beds and bedding were so comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.
- Trevor (8/5): - Was perfect for what we were wanting , non expensive, quiet and felt safe
- David (10/5): - Very quiet place to stay.
- Carole (5/5): I won't stay there again. - Location was the main reason. Loud neighbors- drinking & talking.
Toilet was wobbly, Not secure to the floor.
Freezer didn't work. TV didn't come in right.
- Tammy (8/5): - It was walking distance to Brown county music center.
- David (8/5): - Faucet handles bad sink and tub. Tub drain after shower took long time to drain. Would have been nice to have at least one chair in room. Unfortunately could not an opening window with screen for fresh air. A/C to have a constant fan mode like many do would have been nice. Convenient location only plus.
- Ashley (6/5): - It was ok, for the price we paid for two rooms, double beds. There was no water in the toilet. Had to flush first before it held water for a short time. The water in the morning for a shower was cold. Overall though it was ok, it was convenient to the area we were visiting in a short time frame. But next time will try a different place.
- Julian (2/5): - Nothing to like.
- Sylvin (10/5): - Good
- Ross (2/5): Don’t go - No tv
No hot water on first day
- Pamela (8/5): - This motel is as advertised: basic rooms, clean, quiet, safe, and fully as represented. Really convenient location for either Nashville or the Park.
- elicia (7/5): - The location is convenient. It's a clean hotel. No bugs. It's a place to lay your head and get a hot shower. The gentleman running the place is very nice. It's a family owned hotel. You can tell he's trying his best. It's a little shabby. However they did just replace the floors and I saw some construction guys making some improvements to the rooms.
- Ulisa (2/5): - We booked this stay for after a concert. Hotel was grossly run down parking lot was significantly damaged with large chunks of grass. We checked in at 1030 pm. We were the only car in the entire parking lot for the entire stay. Very sketchy. Would NOT recommend. Plus Expedia lusted the fee for 155 for the room. Later found hotel site lusted for 80.
- Rodney (4/5): - Outdated and hot water in sink didn’t work. Woke up with lots of little bites.
- Caroline (2/5): - The room smelled of urine and mold
- Bryan (2/5): -
- Ann (8/5): - Everything was clean and adequate
- Patricia (2/5): Awful and very overpriced. - Nothing Very overpriced, no ice Machine, no breakfast not even coffee, no hair dryer etc
- Julie (4/5): Salt Creek Inn - Room smelled funny the bed was really hard and the TV had bad reception
- Johnson (9/5): Perfect location - Location, friendly staff, clean room.l See thru window curtain and the tub would not drain.
- stremick (1/5): -
- John (6/5): - Property is in poor condition inside and out.
- Jeffrey (10/5): - Decent and clean. Would stay again.
- Daniel (2/5): - First room smelled bad. Toilet was not blotted to the floor. Went to flush, it would not flush. Looking clo
- Weber (10/5): -
- Tamara (1/5): No one should book a stay there - There was nothing I liked about the property It was dirty and unsafe. There was no possible way I was going to stay there so we left and went somewhere else.
- Brian (4/5): - The only reason to stay here is its proximity to the Brown County Music Center
- James (10/5): Nice place at a great price - Traveling for a concert and the location was excellent
- Robert (7/5): I would stay again - I liked the value and location to the music center. You get what you pay for. I see some of the negative reveiws but for $100 what do you expect. The place was much cleaner then i expected and the beds were comfortable. The pillows wern't bad either
- Julie (6/5): it was comfortable, - It was very affordable and close to the music venue we were attending needs updated
- William (4/5): - There was no fire alarm in room. No coffee pot. No ice machine. It’s a little run down and very dated.
- Faye (2/5): - I found a bedbug and I left did not stay overnight
- Ann (10/5): - It was an old style inn.
- Erica (4/5): - The hotel is old and outdated. It needs a lot of work.
- Kenneth (9/5): Superb - We didn't have breakfast there.
- Sarah (2/5): - The room smelled terrible and there wasn’t any power in the room. When asked to cancel reservation manager said the room was fine and would not refund my money
- Taunya (2/5): - I won't stay there again or recommend it.
- Eric (4/5): - The first room we were given had mouse poop in the cabinet and between the mattress and box springs. The carpet was all wrinkled up, the smoke detector was missing from the ceiling, the toilet had a dirty ring in the bowl, and the furniture was stained and falling apart. We complained and were given a new room, which was slightly better because it didn’t have evidence of mice and it had a smoke detector. There was old junk in a shopping cart in the stairwell and the general appearance of the property was not good. Weeds were growing up everywhere and the grass really needed cut. We only ended up staying because they were the only hotel in town that was pet friendly and had available rooms. If it weren’t for that we would have packed up and left. I like to end on a positive note, so I will say the bed was pretty comfortable.
- Marsha (2/5): - There is nothing unique about this place, it was filthy and the bathroom and the bathroom curtains were moldy. The room itself was filthy and you can tell they are barely trying to clean the room, we will never stay there again!!!
- Laura (8/5): - Though the property was a little dated, the room was clean and the staff very friendly, would recommend for a quick getaway!
- Wilma (2/5): - It was run down. Very small. Every thing was in poor condition
- Verified traveler (2/5): You get what you pay for - The hotel was not at all what we expected. And the description stated within walking distance to some of the places we wanted to go and there was no way to actually walk there, which was the only reason I booked this hotel. We checked out once we saw the actual room and paid for a different hotel that we could actually walk to the places we wanted to go.
- Ashley (4/5): - The room was very dated, no WiFi, no coffee, there was a lamp attached to the ceiling. A patch of mismatched carpet on the door, holes in the door where someone has punched it. Under the sink was falling down. The room smelled so strongly of disinfectant.
We just needed a room to sleep before a race so it severed its purpose but definitely wouldn’t stay again.
- Sharon (6/5): - Definitely not a fancy motel if that’s what you’re looking for. An older place that could use some updates. The gentleman at the check in desk was friendly and quick. If you are just looking for a place to sleep, it’s good. The beds were comfortable and it had all of the basics. Close to some local businesses.
- Sylvin (6/5): - McDonald's is right across the parking lot
- Jenna (10/5): - Clean rooms comphfy beds had a hood stay reasonable prices
- Ronda (2/5): - The pictures that are currently on online are outdated. The pictures show a better quality inn. But the rooms are outdated. The baseboard trims coming off our door jam was busted or someone had tried to break in and busted the door frame. Unfortunately I didn’t take pictures. Would not recommend staying here!
- Shaun (10/5): - It was great. The music center was just a minute walk.
- James (8/5): - great value of room and walking distance to Brown County music center. Went to watch a concert and the afterparty vibe was welcoming.
- Amanda (7/5): Good -
- Dan (6/5): - We've stayed here many times over the years past and always found it clean, simple and well kept. Now, the property is very worn down and unkept with doors, curtans, carpet etc damaged or shodily repaired. U fortunitly we will not be staying here in the future.
- Beth (3/5): Poor -
- Janell (1/5): Bad - we ended up not staying the place gave us the creeps
- Terry (2/5): - Staff is absent and cannot be reached
- Verified traveler (2/5): Stay away from this hotel !!! - The stay was terrible. The room constantly smelled like cigarette. The amenities were extremely poor and not mention the room was trash. The carpets had weird black stains everywhere and the bathroom tiles were broke and literally everything was falling apart. The bed was in bad condition and the door lock was like impossible to open from the outside
Very poorly maintained. Absolutely a waste for 140$ a night
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The bed was extremely uncomfortable. Woke up sore the following morning.
- Carolyn (6/5): - No dining. No hairdryer or coffee maker. Beds were really good! Had an outlet with no cover.
- Christina (6/5): - The temperature of the room was great. The sheets were clean.
The toilet was not clean, had a ring around the water level and the room stunk. Like a stale old smell. The fridge looked ckean, but opening the door would drag on the carpet. I paid for two nights, but only stayed one night.
- Dianne (10/5): - So the property is a little dated, and looks pretty old from the outside. But the gentleman working the check-in was very friendly and the room was great! No coffee in the room, so prepare to walk over to McDonald's for your morning cup. The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower was great. Heat worked and it had a nice kitchenette with a microwave and fridge. It was very quiet when I was there, but it wasn't very crowded. Only noise was from people going into their rooms (it is a motel, so you hear that a little more).Close to the little town of Nashville and easy to get to. I will definitely stay here again if I'm ever in the area. A basic, clean room for a great price.
- Clayton (6/5): - We like that you can walk to the brown county music center. Beds are comfortable. Rooms are quiet.
What we didnt like, the bottom of our feet were black from walking on the rug.
