• Thayná (10/5): BOM, voltaria e indico - Todos os cômodos aquecidos, limpos, cozinha equipada, roupa de cama e toalhas boas, atencioso no atendimento, e ótima localização perto de mercado, avenida principal e para ir aos passeios de Uber ou transfer. Dono da casa fazia ovos fritos e pão torrado todas as manhãs junto com frutas e medialuna. Obrigada pela hospedagem e super indico.

Além de preparar sempre na hora um café especial com ovo, queijo e presunto. Ele fez a diferença.

• Judit (10/5): Exceptional - This B&B is very tidy and well-maintained. While it’s located uphill from the town center, which isn’t ideal, it’s still manageable. The rooms are cozy, with good heating from a radiator and a TV with Netflix for added comfort. Breakfast is simple but plentiful, and the staff is warm and welcoming. A great bonus is the kitchen, which guests can use from 12:30 p.m. onward—a very convenient feature. If it weren’t for the uphill walk, I’d happily stay here again.

• Kimitoshi (6/5): - 急な坂を15分ほど登った坂の上にあり、中心部からスーツケースを持って歩いて辿り着くのは困難です。また、距離と高低差でホテルに戻るのは簡単ではありません。部屋は清潔ですが、下水の臭いが立ち込めています。排水管の問題だと思います。部屋にゴミ箱はありません。バスタブはありますが、栓は撤去されていて湯船に浸かることはできません。 それ以外はとても良いホテルです。

He got his coffee first, i couldnt get my tea because it was already one minute over 10...

• Terence (1/5): Not good and overpriced - The hotel is not worth the money. Staff was not very friendly, location is, although not too far from the centre, in a bit of a shady neighbourhood. The room was extremely small, whereas moving around your own body was a challenge. The common room as well as the room was extremely hot (heating system showed 30 degrees Celsius!). The breakfast was very bad, basically just a piece of bread with jam. Overall, this place is overpriced and definitely not worth the money.

• Anjali (8/5): Ushuaia is lovely! - Friendly staff, clean room that was made up every day, good breakfast and good value. Our room was smaller than expected. Also, the B&B is a good 15-minute walk from town. We knew this when booking, of course, but did not realize that taxis are hard to come by after dinner. So be prepared for walking up the steep road after a nice meal!
• Nina (8/5): Fair - - Clean and fairly close to downtown, walking distance Confusion about pricing...booked months in advance, booked by accident for 1, immediately emailed that it was actually for two, and got response that no problem, it will be taken care of when we arrived. But it went from the original $93 to an extra $36. Didn't find that too fair. Settled for $100 finally, but caused needless confusion.

• Guy (7/5): Good hotel to explore Ushuaia and surroundings! - Clean and very quiet rooms, good hot showers, room basic but adequate, good beds. Excellent for a few days to explore Ushuaia and surroundings! Location is somewhat away from the main strip, but still feasible by foot: about 10' to get there but count 20' to get back as it is an upward road. A taxi is 600 ARS, about 2 USD, no big thing. A bit on the expensive side.

Rooms are on the small side but downstairs is a large dining room that you can use during your stay. Good place to stay a few nights to explore the area. All was simple but OK.
• Terri (9/5): Comfy place with helpful staff. Free workout getting back from down the hill. - Comfy little B&B up the hill from the tourist area. Room was clean, warm, and well appointed. Bonus was we could use the kitchen after breakfast. Breakfast was good and Valencia gave wonderful service and helped me with my poor Spanish. Jorgelina was also very nice and always available for questions/ help on WhatsApp. Happy little place. There is a futbol/ soccer field down the street which can be noisy until pretty late (sunset is 10pm). Bring your earplugs. Also, the hill to get back from downtown is seriously steep. But on days my back hurt I was happy to pay $500-600 pesos (<$2USD) for a cab back and other days it was a good little workout. 🤓. Staff doesn’t speak a lot English so if you want completely fluent, easy communication this might not be comfortable for you. But with my tiny bit of Spanish and our transition apps it was no problem for me - They were very friendly and helpful.

• Thomas (10/5): everytime again! - Jorgelina and her colleague Vanessa are dealing greatly with the people and are very helpful in case of any questions and are very supportive for any plannings you may have.
• Emily (10/5): Very nice B&B a few blocks from the main tourist/shopping area - Three of us stayed there for a few days before our Antarctica cruise. It within easy walking distance of shops and restaurants (though a bit up hill) but enough off the main drag to be fairly quiet. The room and included breakfast were both great, and they stored our luggage for several hours on the departure day. It would probably be a bit cramped if four people were staying in the room.
• Marc (7/5): Nice place, but way too hot inside! - Nice breakfast. Clean rooms. It is very warm in the entire building. While only 15 degrees outside, the heating was full on, making it an uncomfortable 25 degrees inside. Sometimes a door was put open to make the temperature a bit more bearible. It is a waste of energy and not very environmentally friendly (but the Argentinian government is paying 80% if the energy bill, so there is no incentive to safe energy). We managed to get the temperature down in our room, by putting the heating fully of and leaving the windows open.

• Resort03019245781 (10/5): Up the hill and into your heart - A lovely small B&B impeccably cared for by a super friendly efficient crew. Traveling in the age of COVID is not easy and your hosts at the Mysten will go above and beyond to help you through it. The neighborhood is “street” and very real. If you want to get beyond the Main Street and all the new development and just meet the people who live there and love sharing their city- this is the place.

• CalgaryTravelgal (2/5): totally unacceptable service - Even though I booked this property months in advance and paid in full they cancelled my reservation 4 days prior to my arrival. In addition, I experienced difficulties receiving my full refund. As we could not agree upon the amount that I paid, i asked them to contact Expedia to arrange the refund. At this point in time they stopped communicating with me. When I returned home, it took 5 minutes to resolve the issue with Expedia's assistance. Even though the B&B offered to relocate me to another B&B, it was more expensive. Throughout this process I did not recieve an apology from Mysten Kepen and I found their attitude and relucatance to communicate and resolve the issue totally unacceptable.

When we arrived we thought was a long way out of the centre but once we did the walk it was no distance at all. Would recommend and would stay there again if ever back in the area.

It is a short walk into town but good exercise after dinner !! We had recommendations for dinners and tours. All were excellent and reasonably priced. Taxis were ordered when we needed and we got our laundry done. Everything is done with a smile. Could not have asked for more.

• JaniJermans (10/5): Great host - Stayed for 2 nights, Ms. Rosario was a great host with such a warmth and friendliness. We just loved her company and of course Google translator helped as we didn't speak Spanish to converse with her. When she goes for hiking, we had another gentleman from her team who could speak in English, and he also was amazing. Kudos to the entire team and special thanks to both of you.

• h0lidaylady (8/5): Family run B&B - Cosy, warm house in a quiet residential about 15 minutes (uphill ) walk from the port area. We were greeted by friendly Luciano, the son of the owners. The room with en-suite were very clean with a comfortable bed. Sachets of shampoo and soaps provided. Great WiFi. Hot drinks, fruit, biscuits and pastries are available all the time for guests and a breakfast of fruit, juice, eggs, ham, cheese and toast is prepared by Luciano in the morning. We walked downhill to the main town area in the evening for dinner at Paso Garibaldi for a fabulous meal. Beautiful sunrise over the mountains viewed from our window. A great place to stay - a real family run B & B.

Very clean and well appointed room, very comfortable bed, modern plumbing, great breakfast with tea/coffee/pastries available all day. Family owned and a family member was on the premises at all times and cheerfully assisted with all our requests and provided excellent restaurant recommendations. Location was perfect within 5-7 minutes walk to downtown.
• JJ503 (4/5): Very noisy room, impossible to sleep! - We stayed just one night on a recent visit. Rosario was amazingly prompt in email communication and was very nice to deal with during our stay. The location, as others have mentioned, is a bit out of the main town center, so not convenient for walking back after dinner in town. The main problem for us was the room we were assigned -- it's right above the hot water pump for the building. It was impossible to sleep as it would come on and off constantly. We unfortunately didn't realize this during the day as we were gone most of the day, but the night was a nightmare. So please check to make sure you don't get this room. It totally ruined our stay.

Our room was basic but clean. My Only issue was that there was some sort of generator making noises constantly but it’s warm and cosy.

O local não possui estacionamento mais deixamos o carro todos os dias na rua e não houve problema. Fica a 10 minutos a pé da San Martin, a volta é uma subida leve. Fica muito próximo a rota 3, caminho para o Parque Nacional e para a região dos lagos. Com certeza o melhor custo-benefício de Ushuaia. Agradeço a toda a gentileza da Dona Rosário, seus filhos e sua funcionária.

• Penguins4ever (10/5): 2nd Stay, Still Great! - Mysten Kepen is great. I stayed here in Dec 2014 and again in Dec 2016. I'm ashamed that I didn't leave a review the first time, and almost forgot again! A bit of a walk out of town uphill, but it's very pretty in the area, and I never minded. It's family run, very clean, and very cozy. The breakfasts were very nice and generous portions, and it was thoughtful to have hot drinks and leftover breakfast out for the rest of the day. Beds were comfortable, and everything was great. E-mail communication was also great, not always the case in Argentina. Thank you so much!
• terbang (8/5): Nice - Well, actually all has been said in previous reviews. The place is located a bit out of town, it's a bit of a walk, but easily manageable and therefore it's quiet. Rooms are small but cosy and clean. And Rosario is a great host.
• bbfolcobb (10/5): Welcoming and very cozy - Our bus from Rio Gallegos was 6hrs late, so we arrived in the midle of the night but Ms. Rosario was kinf enough to not make any problem and let us resti till late the following morning serving a special breakfast at 10.00. Our room was very cleam and well furnished, you can tell they put an effort into decorating the rooms. The atmosphere was very nice and welcoming.
• Khushi2017 (10/5): Exceptional - Comfortable beds, warm, clean, nice atmosphere. Lovely breakfasts with good time range of availability. Fruit, leftover breakfast pastries and hot drinks available at our convenience the rest of the day. Rosario very welcoming and friendly. Helpful with organizing trips to Lake Esmeralda and Tierra del Fuego National Park.
• TheEddiesduo (10/5): A home away from home! Loved it! - Rosario and her family were awesome hosts, they were welcoming and friendly. Rosario helped us organise all our tours from the Beagle Channel boat trip, to the Terra del Fuego National Park and our Lake Esmeralda hike. She knew all the times for ships departing for Antartica so we could plan around that. She helped us find our way around town and recommended the best place for King Crab. The room was great, comfortable bed and the bathroom was clean and modern. The breakfasts were awesome with fresh fruit and eggs how you like them. Good coffee as well. I would definitely stay here again as they really look after you as a guest and you don't find that level of care in the big hotels. Thanks Rosario you are the best!!
• cmbcawthon (10/5): So welcoming - This was such an excellent little B&B in Ushuaia. As someone who barely speaks Spanish, Roberto was incredibly easy to understand even with the language barrier. My boyfriend, who speaks no Spanish at all, was able to understand his directions into town. They even have a helpful map to make sure you get back okay. Roberto was incredibly accommodating, calling us a taxi and letting us leave our luggage at the house even after check-out. I accidentally left my phone there and he's even now still trying to get it back to me. Breakfast was pastries, toast, eggs, meat and cheese with coffee, juice and tea available. It was all delicious. The room we stayed in was small, but the bathroom was private and there were fresh towels waiting for us when we arrived. It was a cute, clean room and there's wifi available! I would highly recommend staying at Mysten Kepen!
