Guest Reviews
- MARK (10/5): - The pub to stay is lovely but when the area is busy parking is an issue.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great stay.... But - Excellent check in by Matt, enabled us to check in early and took all our bags up to the room for us. Room was clean and comfortable and we couldn't hear any noise from the bar downstairs. Excellent location opposite the train station and all local amenities on the doorstop.
Unfortunately the live act that was on was singing IRA Support songs and when my partner objected and complained we were asked to leave the bar. The singer did admit that he was wrong and had caused us being told to leave
- Sarah (10/5): - This property is so fun! Your room is above a really cool, esthetic vintage bar. We had the top room and it was pretty big. You couldn’t hear any of the people downstairs just the delivery people and trash collectors, outside. The views from the windows look out to a big ship/restaurant. It’s also a stones throw from the train station.
- Robbi (10/5): - What a gorgeous little place this was to stay. Our room was big and spacious, with great bed and shower.
It’s really well located and within walking distance to everything. You’re staying at a pub so expect some noise but it didn’t bother us at all. Great staff as well.
We’ll be back!
- Everett (10/5): Ideally located hotel above pub - Perfect location facing the sea-front. Cozy small hotel above a quaint pub, which was a fun new experience for me.
Service was friendly and my room was in good condition.
Note that there is sometimes live music until 11pm, which I enjoyed but which can be heard from the rooms. There is no breakfast available.
- LINDSEY (10/5): Last minute stay in whitby - The rooms are above the station inn pub. Room only in a double room. Room was clean and nicely decorated. No air con but a fan. Tea and coffee available in room. Sea kelp body soap etc
Stairs upto the rooms but the guy who checked us in helped us upstairs.
The bar was great and the staff friendly. Great selection of beers. Great act on 8-10pm had a great time.
- Richard (10/5): Perfect family room - Great location. One night stay in family room which was perfectly set out with kids feeling like they had their own room and we had a good space to ourselves aswell to relax while they were sleeping. The staff were very friendly and accommodating letting us grab drinks from the bar and take to room. Even opened us a bottle of our own wine to take up!! Would definitely book here again when in Whitby again. For the price I doubt could get anything nearly as good as this. Parked right across the road in train station, £12 for 24hrs which was easy enough and reasonable.
- louize (8/5): - The room was small but enough room for 2 with our cases. Lovely modern bathroom. Decor and bedding very high standard
- nicholas (10/5): - I have statues here many times, highly recommend, clean, modern, friendly helpful staff. Would stay again 10/10, great value for money. Room 3 is the best.
- Maria (10/5): Skønt - Fantastisk værelse og hyggelig pub
- Andrew (10/5): - Great room and hotel in a great location
- PHILIP (8/5): Good place to stay - Good room, everything you need. It a pub with rooms so don’t expect anything beyond that, but, staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are well equipped, maintained and comfortable
- Sarah (4/5): Noisy and definitely not for families. - With the noise from the pub n underneath we managed a five hour window through the night when there wasn’t noise. We weren’t aware children weren’t away in the bar after 8pm so that left us stuck in our room until the noise went at 1am. Finally I thought. But by 6am the cleaners were in banging around.
We were informed there was live music until 11pm which we accepted but we would not have stayed if we knew it didn’t quiet down until 1am and that children weren’t allowed to listen to the live music. Avoid at all costs.
- R (8/5): Very comfortable room. - Very clean, tidy and spacious. Bed was very comfy and we had a good night’s sleep. The stay would have been improved with the provision of breakfast.
- PETER (6/5): - Close to highlights of Whitby ok for a short stay.
- amanda (10/5): - fantastic place, right in the middle of everything, staff were great, room was lovely. every busy so it's not a quiet place if that's what your looking for and parking isn't easy but whitby is a very busy place, we managed to park across the road which was great we really enjoyed our stay and will come back
- Brian (8/5): - Very close to everything in Whitby
Clean and tidy
The family room was very nice
- NIGEL (10/5): - Great location, excellent staff.
- Jennifer (8/5): A busy Inn - A busy Inn in the heart of Whitby. Pub downstairs where live music is played until 23:00 and nice newly renowated rooms upstairs. Not possible to have breakfast in the morning due to the pub not being open. Once the pub is closed there's no place to be except for your room, no lounge or so but a nice place to stay at.
- Gareth (10/5): - We absolutely loved our stay here and will return next year.
- ade (10/5): - Great location, absolutely beautiful room with coffee, shower gel and even a dyson air cooler. Will stay again. Thank you.
- Robyn (10/5): - Room was fabulous, very clean and great aspect. Staff were terrific- would visit again.
- Geoffrey (8/5): Nice stay very central - Bedroom was very modern & clean, public areas are a little run down but staff very friendly.
Breakfast not availabke but plentt of cafes available locally
- Steve (10/5): Good value - Great location
- Elaine (10/5): - Great central location - room was very comfortable 👍
- Mark (10/5): Great stay. - Our second visit to The Station always friendly staff, lovely and clean and excellent location. Looking forward to our next stay.
- Mariessa (10/5): - Excellent hotel in the centre of Whitby, directly across the road from the train station and a few car parks.
Easy check in lovely clean, modern room.
Although there was the pub underneath with live music you could barely hear anything.
- GARY (8/5): - All.
- Tracey (10/5): - Friendly welcome, parking close by for £10 per day. Trains, taxis and buses all within spitting distance too. Room was smart, clean, fresh-smelling and comfortable. Close to all amenities, Checking in and out was hassle-free and staff were friendly. We were even asked if we needed to store luggage for the day when we checked out. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend, and will certainly stay here again.
- Julie (10/5): - Very convenient location, clean room and friendly staff
- Linda (8/5): - It was a very comfortable room but just was disappointed we didn’t have a view out of our window cos the view out of the front room is lovely
- Michelle (10/5): - Fantastic!
Great location, comfy room & a good boozer!
- Roderick (10/5): All good… - Excellent location, very comfortable, clean accommodation.
- Michael (10/5): A must stay - Short break in our favourite place . Location was brilliant, room was extremely comfortable
- tracy (10/5): - Lovely room with ensuite and very warm, lovely comfortable bed.
- DIANE (10/5): - Better than expected.
- David (10/5): Excellent Stay - Fantastic location. Room was very comfortable with excellent facilities and lots of character. Great harbour view from Room 2. Staff friendly and efficient. Will definitely stay again. Thank you.
- Kyle (10/5): Station inn - Brilliant stay right in the centre of whitby, easy check in and check out. Lovely room, 10/10
- Jude (10/5): Fantastic cosy welcoming - Brilliant freehouse dog friendly bar with live sport on. Superb central location opposite the train station and great restaurants. Down side is parking which costs £10 for overnight stay in Carpark opposite
- Steven (8/5): Great stay - Good nice clean Troon , central location, perfect
- Amanda (10/5): Lovely hotel, fab location. - Our room was at the front of the hotel overlooking the train station and harbour. Lovely room, all amenities, well kept, clean tidy and a great location. Pub downstairs, you can hear noise so if you want something completely peaceful this is not the place for you, however a little noise didn't bother us. Would definitely return and stay here again.
- Gary (10/5): Weekend at the station inn - Great weekend away. Friendly staff at the station. Easy quick check in.
Lovely and large room. Large en-suite with a lovely shower.
You can hear pub noise a little when it’s open, but usually you’re out of your room then. The fan in the bathroom could do with being bigger as it soon steams up it’s in a great location on the harbour near to everything and even the long stay parking. Lovely stay, I’ll be definitely stay there again.
- Jayne (10/5): Beautiful - The staff are so friendly and helpful my room was spacious a very nice view from my window
- lee (10/5): Great central location - Very spacious and modern rooms.
Comfortable bed and new bathroom suite.
Can be quite noisey with the bar underneath but it didn't bother us.
Great central location with paid parking 2 minutes away.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Friendly rooms and pub - Great location, nice room and bathroom, friendly and helpful staff. Nice pub downstairs. Noise was not a problem.
- Kjell Erik (10/5): Rett ved stasjonen - Valgte dette hotellet, som egentlig var en pub, fordi det lå bare noen meter fra stasjoen.
Savnet muligheter til frokost på stedet.
- peter (10/5): - Room 3 was excellent, only draw back was thst there was rwo of use, but only one comfortable chair . Staff were very nice, able to check in at 11am not wait till 3pm.
- David (10/5): The station whitby - Freindly value for money excellant service
- David (2/5): - Terrible experience, bar staff lost Our room keys so could not access the room, absolutely shocking rude bar staff!
- Bethany (10/5): - Hotel staff where great ! Lovely atmosphere to the pub. Bedroom was spacious and clean. Loved the quirky design to the room. We recommended to other and stay again myself
- Robin (10/5): Small rooms, but comfortable and clean - The accommodation is clearly a recent renovation in a very old building, so the rooms are pretty small but well appointed and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful, but it’s the location that is the real winner. Plenty of paid parking at the station across the road and walking distance to all the central Whitby highlights, including about a thousand fish and chip shops!
There was some noise in the room, I assume fans for the cellar (?), but it’s bearable so wasn’t a huge detractor.
