Guest Reviews
- sobantu (10/5): A place to be in peace - It's tranquility, far from the noise of the city. Friendly staff. Good and appetizing breakfast. Good and beautiful old fashioned furniture fascinating. I can recommend it to the people. All good 👍

- Nosicelo (2/5): Bad - Owners are friendly and the room was clean. The noise. Room was downstairs and I slept when those on top floor sleep. The dogs toilet🙆. There was no coffee. Milk was a leftover from the previous guest but the lady who works there helped me. The owners had visitors. The way they were walking on the top floor, I couldn't sleep.
- Alusani (10/5): - Friendly stuff
- James (9/5): Wonderful hosts and a comfortable stay. - Marilyn and John were wonderful hosts. They made us so welcome that we felt part of the family. The accommodation was excellent in the garden flat. Towels and bedding changed regularly. A superb breakfast with fruit, cereal and a full cooked breakfast, The power outage was a problem but our hosts did everything possible to make us comfortable.

- Jo-Anne (10/5): We had a lovely stay at Valley Guesthouse. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the hosts truly - We were there for the youth swimming championships, left early every morning but our hosts made sure we had something to take with us. Excellent

- Nigel (10/5): The price is right and the breakfast is great. - Walking distance to St George’s Park Cricket Ground, easy access onto the N2 both east and westbound, fantastic breakfast and the fact that you feel like you are staying with family or friends. Some people may not enjoy the family home feel of the accommodation, but Andrew and his family draw you in, in a nice way.
- Milena (3/5): Disappointing - breakfast The house

- Hoffman (9/5): Good place but they need to check geyser for hot water and a bit touch ups in the garden - Friendly staff and good breakfast Water not warm
- Justine (8/5): Good place - Excellent stay before my flight 😊
- Cathrin (7/5): Budget friendly - Budget friendly, and the breakfast was excellent. The view and birdlife was super. The room have multiple plug points. The parking is very steep, the steps to the room is a very tight spiral staircase
- Vinson (1/5): Misrepresentation of accommodation - Did not like the place The room was untidy with old , unkempt furniture.
The shower was falling.
The general appearance of the room was poor.
I refused to stay there with my family.
I called the owner and he did not respond.
I left him a voice message, stating that I couldn't stay there and was looking for alternative accommodation.
It was late in the afternoon and I managed to secure accommodation at the Paxton Hotel which costed me R1350 for the night.
I believe that booking. Com should intervene and reimburse me for the money I paid.
The pictures of the site is not a clear representation of the accommodation.
I been a frequent user of booking. Com.
Please resolve this critical issue as soon as possible.
A very disappointed Customer,
Vinson Vadivelu.
- Sarah (8/5): - Schöne Lage. Sehr leckeres Frühstück.
- Mateyise (10/5): -
- Roland (6/5): A pleasant one night stay. - It’s location and friendly hosts. Breakfast was enjoyable! The WiFi was not working.
- REUBEN (10/5): Good for rest - Very friendly host. Family setup Had to open gate manually

- Funmi (8/5): -
- Carl (10/5): - Nice clean safe place, with a bonus fabulous breakfast. Close to Hospital where husband had a op and I had to stay over.
- Khuthala (1/5): - Nothing The place was filthy dirty and we cancelled
- Nigel (9/5): Don’t judge a book by its cover! - The venue is perfect for St George’s Park Cricket Ground and Richmond Hill Brewery. Easy access and parking facilities. The property, at first sight, looks a little bit tired, however, the owners and staff were fantastic, our room was spacious and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. The breakfast presented to use on the morning was great. Being served in the Family Dining Room made for a ‘home from home’ feel. I can honestly say, there wasn’t anything we didn’t like about the property and will certainly stay again. It doesn’t have all of the state of the art trimmings, but it felt homely, loved and cared for.
- Andrew (10/5): Superb location and excellent value for money. - It’s a perfect location, close to town , beaches, restaurants, and was very quiet
- Mnguni (9/5): - Very friendly and welcoming staff.
- Juan (6/5): Comfortable bed, warm duvet, early delicious breakfast, and kind hosts made my short stay memorable! - Although I didn’t spend much time at the guesthouse as I was attending a conference, my stay was very comfortable. The bed was great, and the down duvet made for a warm and restful night. Breakfast was a highlight – fresh fruit, proper Italian coffee, and freshly squeezed orange juice, all prepared early in the morning by Marilyn to accommodate my schedule. Marilyn and her daughter Chantala are truly wonderful hosts – warm, thoughtful, and welcoming. Thank you for a lovely stay!
- Anele (10/5): - The room was spacious and the area is peaceful. Nothing at all
- Lynn (9/5): -
- Mphuthumi (4/5): - Nothing at all The Location and the parking far from the room, no privacy during breakfast
- Banda (10/5): I will come back again - Staff very friendly
- Jónsdóttir (9/5): Warm and welcomming family - Very nice family in a nice home Was good
- Arlindo (8/5): - Wonderful bedding. So comfortable. Quiet safe area and parking
- Terra (8/5): Superb Valley guesthouse!¡! - Awesome hosts.

- Dafonseca (6/5): -
- Themba (10/5): Warm Welcome - Staff was friendly,.food was delicious. I felt.welcome because of the warm welcome.bedding clean.being treated like you are the only customer.God bless Them None
- Simon (7/5): -
- onza (6/5): - Close to town
- Magdalena (10/5): When comfort, hospitality and good vibes harmonise - Situated in a leafy suburb of tbe city close to Highway, Cape Road, and st Georges Hospital, this accommodation is perfect for guests needing to be close to the hospital or eye clinic. The warmth of the hosts and family as well as the content and friendly pets helped us to relax during a stresful time
Old frniture with so much beauty and woodem floors and elegant chandeliers sets the tone for this house. Our bed was so comfortable that we slept long past sunrise.. Expect an exceptional breakfast. Hashbrowns, egg, fresh avos from their tree, bacon and toasr and a hearty togetherness in the dining room. Treetop views hovering over a deep valley and the morning news on a TV set. Comfortable couches, cutlery and plates and mugs to use for your snacks. Salt and pepper and sauces available if you need to pep up your own snacks.
Bathroom spaciois and hot water in a few seconds.
We did not want to leave.. It is a place you want to come home to.
Rien
- Maartin (10/5): -
- Matt (5/5): Host family was very friendly and we can tell they enjoy hosting. - Ok Not being notified that the shower didn’t work until we arrived to give us an option to book something else. Bath to get clean was the only option; we’re not bath people in the morning. It was cold.
- Human (5/5): -
- Makwara (8/5): I loved every minute of it - It was exceptional. Nothing. Everything is great over there
- Thalene (8/5): Very good -

- Colin (7/5): Good -
- Wylde (8/5): Good value and excellent position near St George’s Hospital for visiting my wife - Nice big room very comfortable good breakfast very good value No Netflix on TV
- Brian (8/5): Very good -
- Jamie (9/5): Superb - I had to find a room at short notice at a difficult time, when my wife was admitted to hospital in PE. As I didn't have my own transport, the location also needed to be within a very short distance. As it turned out, the whole experience was made altogether more manageable because of the warm and welcoming, but unobtrusive reception. Because of my situation, location was paramount, so it made all the difference that I could walk comfortably to and from St George's in under 15 minutes (each way). If anyone should find themselves in similar difficulty, they could do a lot worse than Valley Guest House.
- Pieter (7/5): Good - The breakfast was amazing. It's a bit cluttered
- Sbongimpilo (8/5): Very good -
- Willem (8/5): Very good -
- Spreeth (8/5): Very good -
- Alwyn (8/5): Very good -
- Robert (8/5): Very good -
- Jolinde (1/5): Bad - Pictures looked better. Not recommended and can be gold mine next to 3 great hospitals. Doesnt have to cost minions. But just a slight upgrade and a shower head could help. Thanks anyway.
- Corinaluah (6/5): Pleasant - Friendly staff Nothing
- Jenny (7/5): Good - Great location for the cricket ground and lovely, generous breakfast.
- Ron (9/5): Superb -
- Yibongwe (5/5): Passable -
- Asiphe (8/5): Very good -
- Melissa (10/5): Exceptional - What a lovely welcoming place to stay. I arrived a bit late in the evening. They warmly greeted me at the gate and got me settled in. Comfy room, well appointed. N/A
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Reuben (5/5): It was acceptable, but not great - Price and having 3 beds General appearance when entering the house. The entrance was untidy and could be cleaned to make it more appealing for guests
- Stemele (3/5): Poor -
- Songzhu (10/5): Exceptional - Location and nice staff, warm service Nothing
- Kleinbooi (8/5): Very good -
