- Camila (6/5): Dudu was very welcoming and nice, the location is great as it is close to Brooklyn mall, some of the UN offices and it w - The location It seemed like cupboards inside were not clean as there was an old Mr Price label with some me price hangers lying on the shelf. The carpet in my room is dark grey and just looked dirty - I sure it is not dirty but it just is very old and has darker spots so it doesn’t look very inviting. The shower also had mold in the corners.

- Bronwyn (4/5): - Dudu, the caretaker, is super kind and helpful. The location of the property was great for where we needed to be. The property is in desperate need of maintenance. We stayed in the family room and studio apartment number 5. In the family room, there is visible damp bubbling on the walls throughout the unit, and the dining chairs have mould stains on them - to be honest I’m not sure it is actually safe to be in the unit as there is mould on the ceiling too. In studio apartment number 5, the bathroom is upstairs and the shower leaks onto the bed below through the ceiling. We did raise this and were offered to move rooms however we felt that it wouldn’t make a difference as the other areas are likely as unmaintained, so worked around it. While the linen seemed clean enough, it is very old and thin and had marks. I wouldn’t stay again in the current state, despite the good location.

- Sanrie (6/5): - Location is perfect - quiet and safe street in Waterkloof. The beds were comfortable. The roof fans worked well, which was appreciated in the Pretoria heat. As other reviews have mentioned, the property is in need of some maintenance. It is clear that in its heyday the property was wonderful, but I found the photos to be rather misleading to be honest. The towels are washed out and need to be replaced. Hand soap was provided, but the container was empty. All of the pictures on the walls were skew. Tile missing in the bathroom. The pool was dark green.

- Suri (8/5): Happy and will absolutely return - Dudu is an absolute sweetheart, and the other staff is equally as friendly. Upon my arrival, Dudu was waiting outside to welcome me at my vehicle, helped me unpack and carry my bags to my room. The room was well equipped with absolutely everything I needed in a self catering unit, even wood outside by the braai. I enjoyed my stay and will most definitely return.

- Keith (6/5): Good for an overnight brief stay but not for an extended leisure stay - The staff (The lady we met when we got there) particularly was attentive,kind & always eager to be of service When I called initially before confirming my booking I was told there was a gas braai we could make use of and when we got there this wasn't available and we had to make use of a fire/charcoal braai which became a job on its own and we didn't have the necessary supplies to utilise it effectively. The pool was dirty and we couldn't use that ,while completely understandable and owing to the rain on Saturday afternoon , Friday and the better part of Saturday where completely dry .

The property is an older Waterkloof home that has been converted into small apartments, and while some areas could benefit from a bit of upgrading, it remains clean and well kept. The bed was comfortable and the facilities were tidy. A solid choice for a simple 3 star stay. Bedroom blinds need to be replaced.

The beds are huge, linen clean and crisp. More than enough coffee, tea, sugar and milk in the fridge. The cookies are an absolute bonus! The parking spot allocated was a bit tight.

They were hanging behind the bathroom door and felt like sandpaper, and had a bad smell!. The double/king bed was in such a small seperate bedroom with terrible cupboards.

- Lisa (9/5): Perfect for short stay in Pretoria in a safe, convenient location - I felt safe as the property has adequate security and is in a gated area. Facilities are perfect for a self-catering visit. Dudu was very helpful and gave us a great welcome.

- Tristan (7/5): Good - Helen was very accommodating and helpful upon arrival. It is also really nice and quiet. The gardens and property is beautiful and very peaceful. We felt comfortable and relaxed during our stay. The parking is a hassle as it is very tight , especially if each room has a car to park. The WI-FI also was not the greatest , it did not work in our room for the entire weekend. The rooms can be upgraded as they are a little outdated and tacky.

The rooms are very old & outdated, the kitchen is tiny so if you plan on cooking something, only one person can fit in there. We unfortunately had no hot water on the first night, got hold of the place and they advised it had tripped on the DB board. The water was brownish in color. The patios where you walk on to get to your room need a good pressure wash. The counter top in the room needs a good sanding and a coat of paint! Unfortunately upon leaving the following morning to find accomodation elsewhere, i did call out to try find someone to let us out but there was no one around so left the keys in the postbox & sent a message on bookings.com and to date have not heard back from anyone.

Bathroom was spacious The rooms were dusty, carpet dusty,sheets dusty. blinds on the bedroom window were crooked and revealing. Wifi connection very poor and stressful as it kept disconnecting.
- Anand (6/5): In hindsight, a bit expensive for what you get. - The location was excellent. The apartment is a bit dated and in need of a spruce up. Bed linen was and the pillow cases were not clean, and should be replaced. The taps on the sinks are too close to the edge of the sink, and you therefore cannot use the sink properly. Lighting the gas stove was scary as there is no automatic spark. Dudu is an absolute charm tho'.

The mattress can be turned as the right side is a bit hollow and the shower grout and ceiling can be cleaned with a mold buster. Easy fixes.
