Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Had a coffee pot othet places didnt and quite it noisr at othet ones
- Maria (10/5): Great staff! - Great location near downtown Billings. The facility looks taking care of and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful
- John (8/5): Solid value not flashy. - A solid hotel. Not flashy, but serviceable.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Smallish room with king size bed. Small lobby limited seating breakfast. Great staff, very friendly and helpful.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The owners were very nice and personable, however the cleanliness of the place was undesirable. The carpet had large stains. The shower door looked as though it was not cleaned in some time. I had to ask the housekeeper twice to clean my bathroom and she did not provide cups, sugar or stirrers for coffee. The picture attached was not what my room looked like
- Sheila (2/5): - When I first got there I ordered a room with two queens and they gave us a room with 2 full beds. At three in the morning we all woke up because the room was very very hot the central air was not working. And on top of that I went to go ask for a fan and the front doors to the motel were closed so we suffered with the heat. Towels were stained with brown. Terrible motel would never stay there again
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Everyone is very friendly. We had a small special request, and they did their best to accommodate.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Somewhat old with old bed that creeked.
Good staff that was helpful.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - They advertise airport shuttle service but it's not always available. The room was not even remotely clean. I could see that the surfaces had been washed but there was deep filth on the baseboards and in corners. The bed was old and uncomfortable and the room temperature couldn't be adjusted.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This may not be the most updated motel, but they make up for it in customer service. The owner is so nice, friendly, and helpful. They have continental breakfast, and sell snacks and drinks in the front office. The owner would throw in a free candy bar most times. There is a washer and dryer for guests' use, and it was nice to not have to do laundry when I got home.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It is an older motel run by a small staff of friendly and competent people. The rooms were adequate with all of the things you'd expect in a 2 star motel. Only a couple issues we didn't expect. 1) There were ants on the floor of the shower however they were quickly taken care of when we notified the desk attendant. 2) The queen beds were noisy whenever you move in the bed. I've never seen or heard of that before.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Don't waste the money!!! - The hotel was dirty. Air conditioning worked when it wanted to and the beds were awful. Lumpy, and they squeaked bad every time you moved. If this was a recently remodeled hotel I would hate to see what it was like before. Would not waste the money to stay again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Good location, but overpriced for the conditions and amenities.
- Michelle (8/5): Great staff! - The room was a little run down, and they do charge for pets. The free breakfast was cereal and there's no tub.i wound up paying about $115.00 for a two star hotel. BUT the family running the place were absolutely the sweetest! I really enjoyed their friendliness and energy.
- Harold (2/5): Miserable Dump - It was filthy. They surprised me with a $50.00 “deposit” requirement when I checked in. It still has not been refunded. The breakfast is a bowl of cereal.
Avoid this place.
- JAMES (4/5): A motel to stay away from. - It took a long time to get checked it. Breakfast wasn’t served until 7:30. We had to take the cover of the toilet so it could flush it because the handle was on the side to close to the sink. Also breakfast was not some thing to write home about.
- J.Y. (4/5): - Dirty towels, carpet in room dirty, no locks on the door to the hallway, uncomfortable bed and the pillows were bad too. Staff was super nice and friendly, efficient.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Motel is very old and outdated . It is very clean and the staff are friendly
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I stayed at this motel in Billings Montana for the duration of my stay which was a week. The staff there was incredibly kind and helpful. I enjoyed my stay very much. The only problem that I had, was that the room had no AC, and until i figured out to open the door to the porch it was little on the warm side, after that the problem was solved and no real issue. I would recommend that they put some kind of screen door on there or something because while opening the door did solve my problem for the heat it also allowed bugs to come in or more the point..bees. While not detrimental to my health I do have a phobia of bees and also there are some people who are deathly allergic to them. so just a thought, nothing more. other than that my stay was wonderful and i would recomend them to just about anyone.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Friendly staff, shower had good water pressure. Location sort of enh.
- Alban (6/5): Very friendly, very clean - The people are great, the rooms are clean, the walls are thin and the water pressure in my shower was so low that it was hard to bathe. I don't want to dissuade anyone from staying there and I'm sure other rooms have showers that work better but being able to get clean can be kind of a big thing.
- Lisa (10/5): Clean and comfortable - Comfortable place for an overnight stay with family. We had the 3 queen room and it was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was standard donuts, cereal, and fruit. It was plentiful and regularly replenished. Didn't see much of the neighborhood, but heard there was a neat farmer's market down the street. Only real issue was the shower was hard to adjust and had little pressure when the neighbors were using theirs. I would be happy to stay here again!
- Mona (4/5): - This hotel is badly in need of a good cleaning, with new towels, sheets etc. It is a difficult hotel in which to stay, particularly for someone with a handicap as one must travel up stairs and down stairs, and across to another building. The risers on the stairs date so narrow they would not meet Code in Canada. The parking lot is in terrible disrepair. Housekeeping missed our room totally one night. Amenities were not replaced on a daily basis. We would never stay there again .
- Mona (8/5): - Easy to reach. Easy to find. Good location. Clean room, lovely big shower. Could use new mattresses.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Staff was very accommodating and stayed up late to meet us on arrival.
- Rosetta (10/5): - Bed was comfortable.
Shower door has rust; stains on carpet and wall peeling; however it is a dated motel and was great location for our stay and event we attended
- jean (8/5): Quaint! - Room cute. Greetings great. Price good.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Shower looked like it had mold on bottom, customer great!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The door to our room did not lock due to lock(s) being broken. The room itself needed its décor "refreshed". The bathroom window was cleared paned and had no curtain or anything to ensure privacy. The room was not as clean as one would expect -- my grandson found a dead bug in the sheets. The breakfast was $7 per person (we did not partake) -- never encountered a hotel charging for a continental breakfast.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Comfortable stay - We had. V comfortable stay
- Naomi (6/5): - A little run down and not much water pressure.. other than that great location...clean....
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The carpets look dirty. Bedding was clean.
The "breakfast" was scant and there wasn't even milk for the cereal.
- Michelle (6/5): Not fancy, but just fine! - It was fine for the price - nice to fit our family of 6 into one room. Bathroom was clean; some things in the room were odd, but laughable. Keep your expectations low, keep a sense of humor, and you'll have a great visit. If you want a fancy hotel, pay for a fancy hotel and don't expect the Western Inn to be that fancy hotel.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Everything was dirty and in bad condition. I’ve stayed in cheap motels before, but nothing this bad. There were bugs crawling around the bathroom and all the towels were covered in stains. When I lay down on the bed, my left side sunk down 3 inches further than my right side. On the plus side, the staff was friendly.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We booked a 2-bed room, but the staff were so kind to give us a 3-bed room after seeing that we have several kids with us.
- Sonia (10/5): Great value - Hotel was nothing fancy but perfect room. Staff was amazing and very personal. Room was just what we needed.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Bad condition, expensive for price
- Gail (6/5): Misleading - Should not advertise airport shuttle service since it did not start until after 10 am. Also breakfast starting at 0730. Some people like an early start on the day. Rooms were noisy and no additional lock on the door. Would never stay there again
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Sheets clearly had not been changed, hotel location did not inspire confindence
- Krunchel (2/5): Disappointed - Budget hotel for sure. Bed's were very uncomfortable. Heard the neighbors tv through the vent. Didn't sleep well at all. Breakfast was weak. You get what you pay for.
- Elias (8/5): - Decent affordable
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Personal care bout just a number. Went putt of they're way tho help accommodate
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Their parking is fully covered with CCTV
There is a feeling of security within
- ed (2/5): Has coffee pot but no outlet unless you unplug tv. - Old bed. No power to charge cell phone. Mold? Stains on bathroom ceiling. Only one light. Has lamps but no place to plug in
- Michelle (4/5): Tired - Most lights didn't work. Dodgy looking exposed plugs. Certainly looks like it needs some attention all round.
- Amanda (2/5): Never again!!!! - The room was disgusting!!! The toilet had a paper on it saying sanitized, yet there was hair all over the seat. The one bed was hard as rock, I should have slept in my car would have been more comfortable. The toilet wouldn't flush, had to open the back of it to get it to flush. This place should be condemned!!!!
- Ibrahem (10/5): Rest and close - If you want a hotel to rest in and is close to everything in Billings this is the one.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Shuttle hours a joke. - Everything was acceptable, except i booked the hotel because it said they have an airport shuttle. They told me, after I was dropped off and the room was paid for that the shuttle doesn't run until 10 am-ish. So do not book this place if your flight is in the morning.
- Ronette (6/5): The TV did not work - I stayed five days and the TV had nothing but issues. Not sure that I will ever be staying here again.
- Dusty Wright (8/5): The price was right! - Close to downtown and price was right for our stay after concert...front desk was super friendly. Nothing fancy but adequate for our needs! Very quiet for being so close to downtown.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Meh, wouldn't stay again. - It wasn't anything terrible, but my pet wasn't "allowed" on the bed, which, if you're a cat owner, I would bet most of your cats lay on the bed.. which means my cat was sequestered to the bathroom all night. There is also a $15 + charge for cleaning the sheets if the pet does go on the bed. As I inspected the sheets I noticed that there were a few stains not caused by me so I'm guessing they don't actually wash their sheets very often. The shower door wouldn't stay latched. They also advertise newly remodeled rooms but it still feels like they haven't done any upgrades. Maybe I would have had to see it before to understand. Anyway, It wasn't terrible but the way they sneak in extra fees is a little unethical and ridiculous. Washing of sheets should be already built into your business model.
- John Carl (4/5): Double Charged tactics - The owners double charged me for the room. Booked the room through Hotels.com and when I checked in she ran my card when I said it is already paid for by Hotel.com, she said that it was for incidentals. She said my card won't be charged if the room is in good condition when we leave in the am. She handed me the copy of the receipt the next morning and again said my card won't be charged but guess what?! They charged my card the next day! What a hassle! Very shaddy business practice. When I called and try to get it remedied the husband made me fell like I was the one who was a hassel and said that everyone makes mistakes, Haha! I said all I want is to get the refund and be done with it. He refunded me eventually. Just be careful when doing business with this motel property, they are very sneaky and try to get you when you least expect it.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - No coffee maker in room and unable to get any in the lobby until morning. Not much for breakfast. Person at the front desk had to be called and then was quit rude
- Verified traveler (8/5): Affordable and clean - Over all it was what I needed: affordable, clean accommodations for the night. I didn't try their breakfast or anything. The stand-up shower (no tub) was a bit small and the shower head was pretty annoying by spraying water every which way so it was difficult to get enough directed at me. Otherwise, it was clean, mattress was good, carpet seemed clean, no problems with the tv, coffee maker, or refrigerator. I would stay again.
- Ben (8/5): Great location for one night stay. - We needed to stop for one night on trip from Puyallup WA to Rapid city. Hotel was well located for our stop and had a decent breakfast.
- Bill (6/5): - Older place in not the best part of town. Bathroom supplies were minimal. Only good thing is they let me park my bike by the front door or I would not have stayed.
- amy (6/5): lost in downtown - Went to see a concert at the Shrine Auditorium. Stayed there since it was only 2 miles from venue. Got lost on our way there. Uber got lost twice also. Location is kind of hard to find obviously. Staff was friendly and room was clean but very outdated.
- Jessica (4/5): Not worth the cost - This hotel was very overpriced for what it was. The hotel is outdated, and the full service breakfast was cereal or a packaged danish. When I think of full service breakfast it includes hot items. I wouldn't recommend spending the money on this hotel. I got it solely for the breakfast being included and I was disappointed with what we got, if I knew it was going to be prepackaged danishes and mini cereal boxes I could have saved some money and went to a grocery store and bought pop tarts. Also, we were told that breakfast starts at 6:30, but on the day we checked out when went at 7am and it was closed.
- Gaylen (8/5): One night of our Glacier road trip - The Western Inn is a very nice motel close to downtown shops and restaurants. The staff was very nice and the room was comfortable and recently updated.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Adequate for a night. - A good place for a one night stay. Area of town not the great. Place needs a major renovation.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Probably wouldn't stay here again
- john (10/5): Pleasant nights in montana - Choice was fortunate. Easy to go out and return. I like being in town and not on interstate.
- Eric (6/5): Nice hotel - Filled the need for 6 people with 3 beds. Nothing fancy, bathroom could be updated but still clean
- Thomas (10/5): Above and beyond expectations for this price. - Above and beyond expectations. Good friendly service and a really nice handicap room.
- carolyn (4/5): Pay the extra $20 and stay somewhere else - This motel was a dive in a not so great area. The room smelled like leftover curry and the hall smelled like some sort of strong disinfectant. The clerk asked that we return the entry cards after our stay. I explained that I had attended an identity theft seminar put on by the local law enforcement agency and was told to always take the cards or destroy them due to the personal information that could be stored own them. The clerk said that was impossible because only the room number is stored on the card. I said I was glad to hear that but I supposed someone could just try every door for entrance if I lost it. She said the mootel's name was no where on the sleeve or on the card. When we were getting ready to leave the next day I was going to leave the cards but then saw the motel's name on the card.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Bad. No air conditioning/heating unit in room. 1vent only. Soap so small and thin you could hardy get a decent hand wash. Would never stay there again.
- Judy (8/5): We love this motel. - We love this motel. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable except my husband thinks the pillows are too hard. Walkable to all of the breweries, theatres and museums downtown. Breakfast is so, so.
- Verified traveler (10/5): happy we stayed here, would stay again! - very clean, large room, very accommodating staff.
- Nicole (10/5): - Great service, clean, good stay for the price. We will likely stay here again if we pass through Billings again.
- Mary (6/5): Get what you pay for - Low cost, low value. Shower door wouldn't close, room door wouldn't even close unless you pulled it shut, bed was noisy, no way to contact front desk, no one there until 7:30 when they apparently have coffee and donuts. Way too late for travelers.
- susan (4/5): When a bargain is not a bargain - Pleasant manager, teeny bathroom, on and on. Bring your own Kleenex (none provided) and tp was inadequate. Breakfast snack was not worth mentioning.
- Myra (6/5): - The motel itself was okay but I was not able to check out because they didn't open on time and I wasn't able to get breakfast since they weren't open when they said they would be.
- Nancy (6/5): Help with this situation, - I reserved the room for a friend, he came to help with my husband who is in a wheel chair. We stayed with our daughter. when he checked in they charged the room to his bank card and when we returned home they had charged by card that I had used to hold the room... He said the room was good, the staff we not very helpful and friendly..
- Verified traveler (4/5): Convenient and friendly but needs updating - Pros:
Our check-in process was very smooth and the staff was extremely friendly.
Walking distance to downtown.
Cons:
Hotel is old, but it is not updated at all.
There were stains on the linens.
No temp control, only speed. Our heat kicked in automatically when the room hit 67 and we sweated and tossed and turned all night.
Very noisy.
- Genesis (6/5): Cheap but clean - The hotel was very nice ... that is for an old hotel. You can tell the hotel had seen its better days a while back but has been maintained as far as cleanliness. Bed was soft and nice didn't have issues sleeping at all. We were just in town because of a snow storm
