• Jan (10/5): Beyond perfect! - Gorgeous hotel in beautiful Yorkshire. Our 3 day stay was wonderful. Large comfy rooms with huge bed. Modern bathroom with walk in shower. Garden was perfect to sit in, with a cosy summerhouse. Breakfast was stunning - local produce, even down to the apple juice produced from their own orchard. Honey and jams all very local too, as were the ingredients of the cooked breakfasts. Bar stocks local beers and spirits. Andrew and Lucinda are perfect hosts.

Andrew and Lucinda were amazing hosts, evening joining us for tea a scones which was very kindly provided at check in. Unfortunately, there was a power cut the morning of our departure, however, despite this the cooked breakfast was amazing. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a relaxing and hassle free break on the East Coast. Thank you Andrew and Lucinda. Liz

The breakfast 10 out of 10....really enjoyed our 2 night break. Hopefully we will return. There's nothing to dislike. Lovely place garden very relaxing food excellent.
• Warwick (10/5): - My wife and I were visiting Yorkshire and chose Orchard Lodge based on the reviews - we were not disappointed. The room was clean, the staff were incredibly helpful and the whole place had an ambience of calm and trnquility. We opted to have an evening meal and were seriously flabbergasted when the incredible food arrived - way above our expectations for such a smal 'B&B'. We were not surprised to learn that the chef had trained in a Michelin star restaurant. In summary, a lovely stay with amazing food - we have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending this delightful haven.

• Johnathan (10/5): Exceptional - Orchard Lodge is a fantastic little gem. I couldn't recommend it more strongly. The location is perfect for exploring the area. The accommodation is excellent and the welcome perfect. The quality of the food in the Wolds Restaurant was exceptional and you would have to travel a long way to beat it. There is a real focus on local supply with everything being sourced within a small area where possible. This went as far as the bar as well. We had a fantastic Yorkshire wine and I highly recommend the Filey Gin. All in all a fantastic three days.

• FRANCIS (10/5): Ideal Country Idyll - My wife and I had a very enjoyable 2 night stay here. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by Andrew and Lucinda with the offer of tea and scones in the garden which gave us the chance for an nice chat. Our room was very spacious with a super-kingsize bed. The selection at Breakfast was amazing with loads of home-made produce, all served by 2 young attentive polite girls. We would definitely return if we were in the area.

We were made to feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Spotlessly clean with tasteful furnishing and decor throughout, excellent customer service, very friendly and curteous staff who couldnt do enough for you. Breakfast and snacks excellent. Very quiet location. Everything 100% and will be our first choice when we return to the area.

• Steve (10/5): Amazing - This is a little gem of a place....it is absolutely stunning... I arrived and was immediately greeted by the owners who went out of their way so see I was ok... and I was even greeted by two beautiful black Labradors who loved a cuddle... I was shown to my room and then asked if would like some tea and cake, a lovely gesture... the room was stunning with a nice big comfy bed and lovely and clean throughout. The breakfast was amazing and most of the produce is locally sourced. I recommend the Apple Juice which comes from their own Orchard .... and if you don't then buy a bottle after trying it... well you have no taste buds.... it was amazing .... I will definately be going back again and it felt like a hokme away from home

• Heather (10/5): At last- a great b+b to stay in near Scarborough!! - A warm welcome was awaiting us all- once shown around and to our rooms, we were offered complimentary tea and homemade cake to enjoy in the garden. They had given me details of taxis and recommendations of places to eat before we arrived, so all was organised! Rooms were spotless and nicely decorated- comfy bed. Nice breakfast- but service was only between 8.30-9.30, which was a bit of a short window. Having stayed at AWFUL hotels and b+bs in Scarborough on the last few visits to the open air theatre, I am so glad I booked this one - the taxi was only £15- and it is way above previous experiences nearer the theatre. Better value too.

There was a massive choice at breakfast and a lot of local produce. I really enjoyed the fresh berries and yoghurt. The service was excellent and very friendly. I would definitely stay again.

• Aftab (10/5): Absolutely Superb! - Andrew & Lucinda (and their 8 week old Lab) were extremely friendly & hospitable hosts to both of us. By both, I mean my well behaved pet Lab Florence who felt at home with an early morning breakfast of sausage. I am sure she loved being spoilt as I was during my stay. I could not fault anything except praise for my hosts who went out of their way to make our one night stay as comfortable as possible. Good size and clean & rooms with plenty of tea, coffee, biscuits and bottled water followed by a full English breakfast in the morning with some homemade jams etc. For well behaved pets & their owners it's a place to relax and enjoy the lovely countryside. I will certainly visit again and would recommend Orchard Lodge to all including pet owners.
