• Sarah (9/5): Overall, excellent! Would recommend. - Great location and value for money, good privacy in the room, and bathrooms also good. Reception gets loud with Side Bar underneath but couldn’t hear it a few floors up. Staff were in/out of rooms a lot in the morning, so probably don’t bank on sleeping in haha.
• Pasin (8/5): I definetely reccomend booking your stay at wake up central if you want to be comfy going around the city, meeting a few - Great location, plenty of activities, big spaces, comfy beds, nice staff, overall cheap and quiet at night, safe area. The bathrooms could have been cleaner, I didn't really figured if they came and clean the room every day.

• Lucas (5/5): - Les emplacements de charges sont particulièrement dangereux, j'ai vu l'adaptateur de quelqu'un dans ma chambre littéralement grillé pendant la nuit et à chaque fois que je branchais le mien un arc électrique était visible. Niveau personnel, l'une des personnes de l'accueil (chauve dans la trentaine) était particulièrement rude et malpoli à chaque interaction, mais rien à redire sur les backpackers qui y travaillaient.

• Velasquez (10/5): Over all, I am very satisfied and my stay here was memorable! - The property is in the heart of CBD so everything is accessible. I like the reception staff, they are very accommodating from check in to check out. Whenever my room card key is not working they are fixing it right away. Very clean and organized.

• Amber (7/5): Really depends on the room / floor level you get 🤔 Hit and Miss - Always meet awesome people from all round the world whenever I stay here, i think that is why most people stay here - location of hostel in the city is great, it's right next to Central - staff are usually nice and cafe downstairs is lovely too, you can get a decent coffee and some breakfast. Customer service is of a good level for staff too on the whole, but the actual logistics of your stay / room pass issues / cleaning / noise bleed in the hostel could be dealt with better. The team kindly stored some luggage for me temporarily once or twice while I was staying - that was nice of them to do. They do a free events and mixers every day for people to meet often with wine and cheese and other cool things, I enjoyed going to one of them to check it out, good place to meet new people. The facilities / setup of certain things here are hit and miss and it does impact your stay, so be aware. I get it is a heritage old building and also a party vibe and has a nightclub in the building, but you don't necessarily need the club pumping so loud at 3am it shakes the walls 3-5 stories high - no earplug was built for that lol. Nightclub security have been aggressive lately and it deterred me from going in. Small changes would make such a big difference. The kitchen level 1 is intense both for storing and cooking food, very rarely space there, and lockers to store things seem tiny and overcramped to the point I have never been able to use them, it's too overwhelming a space. Lifts take literal years to go up and down levels. Plan on 15 mins wait just to get up and down in the lift each time. When I first stayed here whatever industrial cleaning agent they use on their sheets literally gave me hives / made me very itchy so it must be fairly potent chemical wise to have given me an allergic reaction that first time 😑 I've stayed here a few times in the past several weeks because it was convenient to my plans and tbh, the bathrooms aren't clean enough either - dirty marks in and around bathroom sinks, toilets often not enough paper or not clean enough or both, soap isn't always topped up, black mold in many of the showers. I stayed on floors 3, 4 and 5 in the last month several times, so I'd say all levels aren't great for this and that's wild because when I spoke to someone about it at front desk they said they have a dedicated outside cleaning team they pay, they must be taking the piss then because they're not doing much work for what you pay them.

I checked in on Friday and Saturday nights, and even though I was on a high floor and wore earplugs, I could still hear music from the bar downstairs, which greatly affected my sleep. In addition, there was no nightlight in the room, so there was no light after everyone else went to sleep and turned off the lights. Climbing the stairs to my upper bunk was also very difficult.

Reservei este hostel porque vi comentário de pessoas idosas elogiando a acomodação. No entanto, embora já tivesse efetuado o pagamento, me mandaram procurar outro lugar pois não poderia ficar. Já era noite, eu havia chegado de uma viagem de 36 horas. Estava cansada. Resolvi apelar pra ameaça de colocar na minha rede social, na qual tenho 35 mil seguidores. Assim eles me deram um quarto pra dormir e no outro dia iam resolver o que fazer. Senti mal fui vítima de etarismo. Pra evitar esse tipo de constrangimento peço que avisem as acomodações que deixem claro em suas políticas de acesso o limite de idade de seus hóspedes.

Die Mitarbeiter waren super nett und hilfsbereit, wir wurden eine Nacht sogar auf ein Dreierzimmer upgegraded, damit wir nicht das Zimmer wechseln mussten, weil eine Freundin von uns früher abgereist ist. Die Zimmer und Bäder waren sauber. Die Lage vom Hostel ist optimal und es werden viele soziale Aktivitäten angeboten!

• DONGHA (5/5): Avoid this place unless you are looking for a party spot, not a place to sleep - The only positive was that the bathroom was clean. I barely managed to stay for 3 days before moving out. First of all, the hospitality here is questionable. On my first night, while I was having dinner, a staff member was literally stepping on the tables with their shoes on. I understand they were cleaning up after an event, but the event ended at 9 PM and the kitchen was open until 10 PM. It’s basic common sense that even a child would know stepping on a dining table is completely unprofessional and unhygienic for hospitality staff. While the female staff were generally kind, the male staff were quite cynical and acted like rebellious teenagers. The biggest issue was the hygiene of the bedding. Every time I got into bed to sleep, I had a severe allergic reaction. At first, I thought I was just unwell, but I realized it was the sheets or the mattress—either too much harsh detergent or a lot of dust. I tested this by laying my own clothes and towels over the sheets, and the reaction was significantly less. The environment is not for resting. It’s a party atmosphere every day; roommates leave the lights on and talk loudly well past midnight. Even on the 7th floor, the outside noise is very loud. If you want a party place, go for it, but not if you need a place to stay.

• Denise (8/5): Goed! - De kamer (damesslaapzaal 6) was chill, gordijntje is chill, locatie was echt top als je voornamelijk rondom het centrum moet zijn + dichtbij bussen en treinstation, activiteiten worden georganiseerd en gewoon prima schoon. Je kon ook chill je kleding wassen (alleen irritant dat je hiervoor 50 AUD moest pinnen en kleiner niet mogelijk was). Ik zou denk ik wel teruggaan mocht ik weer een keertje in de buurt willen overnachten. In het weekend is er een flink feest en dan kan je wel mogelijk last hebben van het geluid. Wij zaten alleen op verdieping 6 dus daar viel het mee. Je krijgt geen handdoek en dat vind ik toch altijd wel chill. Ook waren de douches oké, niet bijzonder.
