Guest Reviews
- Rambling Man (10/5): - The location was ideal for Three Peaks Race and the staff were very helpful. Everything was good
- Stewart (10/5): We enjoyed our visit to the Craven Arms. From the moment we arrived the staff was friendly and helpful. The evening meal - Service by everyone we met. Noise from the creaking floor boards above when other guests were in the room.
There was a little noise from the road nearby in the early hours, but not enough to not enjoy our stay there.
- Tamarin (10/5): Cosy and comfortable place to stay - It was a really great atmosphere, lovely rooms and great meals. Loved the vibe- friendly staff and great location Nothing
- Alison (9/5): Lovely place - Lovely breakfast . Very clean I think a more varied evening meal selection as was doing a trek the day after and wanted something quite basic . That was just circumstances and personal taste . Judging the breakfast I would say the food is lovely
- Austin Peter (9/5): - Everything about the stay was exceptional, the location, the food, the staff willing to go that extra mile, the cleanliness of all the facilities, my only slightly negative observation was the mattress in our room was quite soft. This is a personal choice and may not apply to all the beds, and if you like a softer bed it will be perfect for you.
- Megan (10/5): Cosy room, delicious food and wonderful staff - This was a perfect location for our trek26 event. The rooms were clean, staff were so friendly and the food was delicious!! Some noise from the road but other than that everything else was fab!
- caroline (9/5): good relaxing stay - breakfast good selection dinner was excellent the room wasbasic but clean and tidy could have had curtains in room instead of blinds
- Alison (8/5): - Lovely comfortable room Nothing
- Andrew (10/5): -
- Hilary (9/5): Cosy pub with comfortable dog friendly rooms. - Our second visit to this lovely pub. We received a warm friendly welcome. The room was a good size, the dog’s crate fitted in easily (superior king room). The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. Staff are friendly and professional. Nothing
- Dave (9/5): A lovely stay with exceptional food - Room was beautifully appointed, the staff were very accomodating, (eg. provided me with a pack up breakfast) and the food wonderful nothing
- Richard (10/5): An absolute gem of an Inn. Superb food, great location, lovely rooms and excellent value. 10/10. - The room was lovely. Clean and a very comfy bed!
The restaurant was superb. The food was outstandingly good.
The staff were attentive and friendly but extremely professional Nothing. It was outstanding.
- adele (8/5): Nice, clean hotel with lovely views. - Views from the room and restaurant. Really nice breakfast. Comfortable bed and lovely bedding. Really small shower room. Very uncomfortable seating in the bar area. We would have had more drinks but we were really uncomfortable and unable to relax so went back to our room early.
- Sharon (10/5): -
- Helliwell (10/5): Not long enough excellent place to stay - A picture perfect pub in an idyllic location but easily accessible - on a main roaf. Plenty of parking. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Room clean warm and comfortable with everything one would need including gorgeous view. Food exceptional both dinner and breakfast Nothing at all rarely give 10/10 but would give this more if i could
- Andy Scott (9/5): - Great food in restaurant nothing
- Marie (9/5): -
- Mathew (9/5): -
- Mathew (9/5): -
- Cope (9/5): -
- Linda (10/5): Lovely we will be back. - A smashing place to stay. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is clearly very well looked after and everything was as you would want it.
Meals in the restaurant were first class, but be aware of that full breakfast as its very full indeed, but lovely. Nothing.
- Susan (10/5): Everything you want from a hotel! - Everything. The location, the building itself, the rooms, the facilities, the food and the staff! We stay there regularly and are never disappointed! Nothing at all!!
- Michelle (10/5): - Lovely large room, food was excellent, highly recommend. Hosts couldn't do enough for you, and the staff went above and beyond. Nothing
- stu (10/5): -
- Gregory (9/5): Amazingly quiet despite being next to the main road. - Good location. Delicious breakfast. Most staff very helpful and pleasant. The bathroom was very small, functional but tiny. You wouldn't want to be on the larger side.
- nigel (7/5): -
- Lorna (10/5): -
- Robert (10/5): Absolutely wonderful stay staff professional and warm great customer service - Warm and friendly Nothing
- Karen (9/5): -
- barron (10/5): Despite storm DAVE we still had a good couple of days. - Hotel has a grest location. Breakfast is exceptional. We had the Sunday diner during our stay which was also very good. A generic hotel issue with tea and coffee. The milk sachets are no way near the right volume. It takes 2 per drink to get close.
- John (10/5): 100% recommended! - This is a lovely place to stay. Beautifully and tastefully decorated, generous sized bedroom, the bed was very comfortable and set in a quiet annexe. The setting is in glorious rolling hills, and this was at lambing time which made it special. The staff were all very pleasant and the food (dinner and breakfast) was superb. My wife particularly enjoyed a homemade mushroom pie. We hope very much to stay here again. We liked everything.
- Eric (10/5): Heerlijk verblijf in The Craven Arms - Vriendelijk personeel, lekkere kamers, goeie sfeer en eten in het restaurant Niks
- Marilen (8/5): -
- robert (10/5): Welcoming and comfortable - Very comfortable clean and friendly Every thing
- Sue (8/5): Very enjoyable. Excellent food and would recommend - Very clean. Good choice for breakfast. Staff very pleasant. Nothing
- Susan (10/5): Rural idyll! - The location, the view from the room ,- idyllic with tiny lambs scampering all over the field - the room, the food and the peace and quiet! Nothing.
- Dimitrius (10/5): -
- Emma (10/5): Amazing food, great staff and comfortable rooms. - Really lovely hotel with exceptional staff. The bedroom is very comfortable, with nice pillows and duvets with a luxurious feel.
The breakfast was fantastic and catered for all dietary requirements. We ate twice in the hotel and the vegan meals were delicious. Service is very good.
We were initially booked for 2 nights but ended up staying for 5 nights. Everything was great.
- breedon (10/5): - Great staff, great food , great night...many other pubs/band's should learn from this establishment.. thank you@@ Nothing
- m (10/5): Fantastic family run hotel with incredible food - Room lovely, location perfect, staff all friendly and helpful. Food delicious!!!!
- Neil Andrew (9/5): A+, Will definitely stop there again and recommend to others - Food was excellent, both evening meals and Breakfast, Room was warm and very comfortable Bed, we had 2 very good nights sleep, quite and peaceful, no noise. Bathroom was a little small, but nice showers
- Melvyn (10/5): Brilliant little break which exceeded expectations. - All meals were excellent as were our two rooms. Nothing could be bettered.
- Emily (10/5): Exceptional! - Super clean room, very comfy and cosy. Great breakfast with lots of options including vege and vegan. Delicious dinner, again great vege / vegan option. Very kind and accommodating staff. We had bikes and they let us store them safely in a shed. Loved everything about this place! Nothing
- Mila (10/5): -
- Wendy (9/5): A wonderful find and we will be staying there again. - A gem of a place in a superb setting for exploring dales, lakes, Lancashire coast
Friendly helpful staff. Spotlessly clean. Food excellent. Very dog friendly. All food was good, but same menu each night- some additional options would have been welcome.
- Lee (10/5): - Clean, comfy beds , delicious food and drink, and nice friendly staff
- Pedler (9/5): - The location was perfect for us as it was so close to Victoria Hall, Settle. The separate entrance meant that we could arrive back late and not disturb others. The breakfast was delicious. My only slight negative was the twin beds when I was expecting a double.
- Lynsey (8/5): - Was lovely a cosy. Bar and restaurant in side was an added bonus
- Rosemary (8/5): Good food and a comfortable stay - A comfortable bed and clean room. The food was very good - both breakfast and dinner. The temperature of the room could be set at the radiator and was easy to control. The door to the shower did not meet completely at the bottom. Also turning the shower head on to warm up before use, it was difficult to make sure the water didn't come out as you opened the doors to get in. No heater in the bathroom made the bathroom cold if you closed the door to the bedroom.
- ANTHONY (8/5): -
- Lynda (9/5): Fab short break - Everything, the accommodation was lovely, warm and clean. There were nice toiletries provided, and there was plenty of tea and coffee in the room, which was topped up regularly. The breakfast was very good and the drinks were reasonably priced. We had an evening meal there which was excellent and all the staff were lovely. Nothing
- Shirley (8/5): - Good food for dinner and breakfast
- Samantha (10/5): Weekend away - Clean and comfortable. Warm welcome.
Excellent food nothing too much trouble.
Staff friendly.
- Anna (10/5): Cosy pub with great food and comfy rooms - Lovely cosy pub with amazing food and very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere Everything was great!
- Ian (9/5): A welcome break! - The evening meal was excellent. Breakfast was perfect - a very comfortable place to stay for the night. nothing really
- Diane (10/5): Warm, inviting and cosy - The food was excellent as was the choice of drinks. The bed was really comfy and the room was spacious. So happy you take dogs. All good
- Holly (10/5): A little haven in Yorkshire! - Breakfast was lovely, portions were good, staff were attentive. Nothing
- Robert (10/5): I would recommend this place wholeheartedly. - The Craven Arms was friendly, very clean with good beer and excellent food. .
- Carer C (10/5): -
- Richard (10/5): The staff very friendly, and couldn’t do enough to make sure my stay was comfortable - The property was in an ideal location Nothing I did not like about the place
- lisa (10/5): Fabulous little place, worth a visit! - Very relaxed atmosphere, welcoming staff, food was really good. We ate in the restaurant at night as well as breakfast. Lots of options especially for veggies. The door to the bar area/restaurant could do with being closed. It kept being left open by guests entering/exiting. So you lost the nice atmosphere in the restaurant part (and it made the area cold) Small tweak but would recommend looking into...
- david (10/5): most welcome and looked after our diet requests - we booked for two nights and asked to stop another night so we could enjoy our 47th wedding night and we enjoyed all our meals this time as we enjoyed the other times we have stayed here only fault we found in the first room switching off the lights was akward inthe second room the touch llights were like what we have at home
- Philip (10/5): Very enjoyable stay - Great location excellent food and service lovely room and people definitely stay again
- Marvin (10/5): -
- Ducksbury (10/5): -
- Matthew (10/5): Great experience and will definitely return! - The staff were extermely welcoming and the service was excellent. The quality of the food far exceeded my expectations, as compared to most pubs which offer both accomadations & dining. No complaints at all.
- Susan (10/5): - Everything! Nothing.
- L33T (10/5): Brilliant little hotel in a good location - Lovely little hotel in a good location, nice walks within 10-20 minute drive. The breakfast was very good, but would of been better with hashbrowns. Evening meals were delicious and reasonably priced. Staff were all friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Very clean and functional room with a very comfy bed. We will be back. No controls for the radiators in the room, must of been on a timer and went off quite early on leaving it freezing through the night.
- ROY (9/5): - Clean, comfortable and friendly staff
- Paul (8/5): -
- stephen (9/5): We had a lovely break to charge our batteries, this is an ideal location - Lovely like stepping back in time but with WiFi all the mod cons Everything was good
- MICHAEL (9/5): A VERY PLEASANT STAY WITH GREAT FOOD - Our room was comfortable with a large flat screen TV.
Both breakfasts were very good, with ample choice and the 2 evening meals were very satisfactory, in particular the Sunday roast which I usually don't opt for.
The staff were very friendly and capable as were the proprietors.
The bar had a friendly vibe and the Pheasant Plucker from Bowland Brewery was just to my taste!
The car park was ample and free. The inn is now set alongside the Settle bypass,(A65) so inevitably there was some traffic noise, but in truth it did not really affect us, and certainly not our sleep.
- Darren (10/5): -
- Ciaran (9/5): -
- Susan (10/5): The best place we've ever stayed in! - The hotel is the best I've ever stayed in and we return there very often. The location is wonderful, the rooms are fantastic and the views are amazing. The staff are incredible and the food is out of this world! We've just had the three course Christmas menu and it was astounding, with plenty of choice for vegetarians - a real feat! Nothing at all!
- Anne (9/5): Great stop over with some lovely villages nearby - The staff were so friendly even reserving a parking spot for our motorhome. Rooms were spotless and comfortable . Would definitely stay here again . Great value with lovely breakfast . Could not fault it.
- Joanne (10/5): - Stayed in room 6 - big room, huge bed, very quiet and comfortable. Food in the restaurant/pub was excellent although portions could have been bigger particularly for the price.
Breakfast was very good and service for both was faultless.
- ANDREW (9/5): Excellent hotel with friendly staff - Easy to locate.
Good parking.
Warm room with very comfortable bed
Excellent shower N/A
- Richard (8/5): Well worthwhile. - Good restaurant. The food and the choice were good. The position in beautiful countryside was good. Plenty of parking space. Breakfast didn’t start until 08.30. We found this was rather late.
- Dorothy (9/5): Ideal stay.i - Ideal as it broke our journey up. The food was very good snd plenty of choice
Well kept beer
Requested single beds but they were together. Room 7. Next time will request different room. Staff were very ftiendly especially for evening meal on Sunday. The heating did not come on in the morning. Bathroom floor was warm though so no trouble.

Very dog friendly but separated when eating from those dining in restaurant. Friendly and helpful staff. Right opposite train station too for travel to Skipton and Lancaster etc. Nothing all good.
- Brian (8/5): - Nice remote location, ideal for dog owners wishing to escape bonfire night , also good breakfast Bit pricey for pub B&B ,
- Scott (10/5): Perfect - The owners were so helpful and friendly. The bed was really comfortable, huge deep mattress and lovely thick bedding. Gorgeous spot and amazing misty views this morning waking up. Fantastic cooked breaky too!

- Debbie (9/5): Would recommend and happily visit again. - Excellent evening meal choices with the addition of some main meals being available as a smaller portion. Terribly picky of me but I don’t like ketchup and brown sauce brand bottles at the table
