The owner is lovely, so interested in your stay, gives so many suggestions of places and food to try. I wish I could have stayed longer! No drawbacks at all. You have your own room key and the front door is accessed by a passcode so you can come and go as you please.

Handy for the geisha district and central areas. Motorcycle parking was very hard to find at a sensible price. One of the dinner recommendations on the board (nearby Yakitori Takata) was a disaster.

- Sierra (10/5): Excelente hospedaje - Todo. Es un excelente lugar para hospedarse. Es cómodo y muy limpio. Los baños son compartidos pero hay mas de 1. Los futones son mmuy comodos y aunque en una habitación sean literas para 4 personas, si van 2, la habitacion es solo para ti y tus acompañantes. Shuji es un excelente anfitrión. Te explica absolutamente todo; las mejores formas de llegar desde la estación y te regala un mapa con las mejores recomendaciones. Fueron excelentes. Esta ubicado en un barrio precioso, muy tradicional y famoso. La vista del río con los cerezos es imperdible y bo hay tanta gente. Además a 3 min esta la parada de camión que te lleva al castillo, jardín kenrokuen y el mercado Omicho. Es la segunda vez que me hospedó aquí y si antes era bueno, ahora es mejor. Lo recomiendo mucho!

- Sebastián (10/5): Amazing guesthouse, better host - Shuji-san is an amazing host. He received us when we checked in and gave us tips for tourists in Kanazawa. Everything he reccomended was very enjoyable. Also, he is very kind and easy to talk to. The guesthouse is impecable. Everything is clean and neatly organized. The rooms are spacious and the beds comfortable. The bathrooms and showers were also very clean. The house is located within Kanazawa Geisha district with beatiful houses and cafes. Nothing.

Once I made it to the guest house, there were so many recommendations shared, as well lengthy details about what to do around the area. I was fortunate enough to be the only guest on my second day there which, as a solo traveler, was wonderful. I have to say, during my 12 days in Japan, this was my favorite place to stay. Shuji-san is a wonderful person who spreads kindness with every step he takes. The generosity he exudes isn’t an act, I can truly feel that is who he is. I’m so grateful for the time I was there. I’m also thankful for him because he extended a ride for me to the next town since it wasn’t far. This is something I will always remember from my trip. If you choose to stay here, you’re going to find peace and happiness during your stay. I did have a big suitcase so it did take up a lot of space in my room, but if I have to be honest. That really didn’t bother me because my experience was AMAZING.
- Kate (10/5): Beautiful guesthouse in Kanazawa with extremely kind host - This gorgeous guesthouse is located right in the Higashi Chaya District and is incredibly easy to get to everywhere else by foot in Kanazawa. Shuji is the kindest host, the accomodation is clean, quiet and comfortable. I really enjoyed my 3 nights here and would have stayed longer! Shuji was kind enough to drop me at the bus station. I will definitely stay again when in Kanazawa and would recommend to all. Everything was great.

Ficamos no quarto B, este quarto é mesmo junto a casa de banho o que nos levou a ouvir barulho sempre que alguém ia a casa de banho. O quarto tinha um cheiro intenso que nos levou a ponderar se devíamos mudar de alojamento. Descobrimos com a ajuda do proprietário que era do tatami que ainda estava verde em certas partes, tivemos que lavar os pijamas porque ficou tudo naquele cheiro. O proprietário foi simpático e sempre respondeu as nossas mensagens, mudamos a disposição do colchão e tapamos com toalhas mais um spray de álcool que foi fornecido amavelmente pelo dono o tatami que ainda estava a emitir o cheiro.

He gave us lots of useful information when we arrived on the best places to go and how to get around given the heavy snow. He pointed out the best walking routes, best places to eat, most delicious coffee and sights to see. He helped us navigate a bus tour of Shirakawago, which we highly recommend, it was excellent and well worth it. Guesthouse Stella was well equipped with everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. The amenities were super clean and the beds were very comfortable. The location is excellent and walking distance to many of the attractions. The fact that the guesthouse and surrounding streets were covered in snow added to the charm. We had excellent heating and were super warm during our stay. Everything was perfect. The only thing we didn't anticipate was the heavy snow however this added to the adventure and charm of staying in Kanazawa. It was so much fun!!

- XIA (9/5): 干净整洁，推荐！ - 位置离茶屋很近，走路到金泽站也只需要20几分钟，位置还是不错的。房东非常贴心，入住前提供了非常详细的交通指引，并且为我的旅程计划提供出行建议！房子非常干净，洗漱间、浴室、厕所都整洁明亮，厨房用品齐全，前台小姐姐是台湾过来的可以中文交流，还很好客的一起聊天，下次还会再来。 单人房的床垫稍微有点塌陷，如果能把双层床直接换成单层床就更好了，空间会更舒适，但是这个价钱能有单独一个房间已经非常有性价比了！

The best part is Mr. Shuji, the guesthouse owner, who gave us a very warm welcome and also helped us plan our days. He even brought us to the main station by car. L’auberge est vraiment très bien située dans le quartier des geishas, et tout le reste de Kanazawa se fait facilement à pied, sinon en bus. Les espaces communs comme la chambre sont très propres, on s’y sent bien. Certaine de réserver cet hébergement si je reviens à Kanazawa ! Je cherche, mais je ne trouve pas !

- RENATA (5/5): Good location, bad smell :( - Good location, easy check in, the owners/house keepers are nice and the kitchen area was nice. I was happy to have a safe, warm place to sleep. Unfortunately the house reeked of cat dander/pee, especially the second floor where my room was located. Also the room is teeny tiny, so small you can barely get dressed there. And the bathroom on the second floor does not have a sink, so you have to go downstairs to wash your hands. I can deal with most of these things, but the smell is inexcusable. The people running the house were very nice, but please do something about the cat smell.

He messaged us the information with illustration on how to take the bus with photos to reach his guesthouse. On our check out day, he even drove us to the train station to put our luggage in the locker and after that dropped us off to the place that we requested. Thank you Shuji San! Nothing.

Without his help I never would've been able to go. The common spaces are clean, and there's also a separate shower and toilet for women. The room was definitely small and the bed was tough. But I still slept great nonetheless, and considering the price I would say it's worth it!

Il est à 15 min à pied du parc renku-en ou du marché local, et à 2 pas de la rivière (très chouette pour observer les oiseaux le matin), idéal pour visiter sans prendre de transports. Le gérant de l'auberge est extrêmement gentil et bienveillant, il prend le temps de nous recevoir et nous fournis pleins de conseils et bonnes adresses pour notre visite. Les espaces à disposition sont particulièrement propres et bien équipés, je recommande vivement ! Si je repasse à Kanazawa, je suis sûre de revenir ici.

- Tamar (10/5): Pleasant and clean with a wonderful host - Attentive host who was present and very responsive and speaks english. He made sure everything was well for us. He also gave clear advice hiw to get to the apartment, what to see in Kanazawa, and arranged for us the luggage transfer to our next location - thanks! The hostel is very pleasant and clean everywhere. All the main attractions are within walking distance (the furthest being 40min away and the gardens are 15 min). The hostel is right next to the most beautiful historical Geisha district. We slept in the 6-person room which was ok and beds were comfortable, but there wasn't any storage space except for the narrow floor besides the beds. A few hangers on the wall, or shelves, would have been a big improvement. Besides, you cannot open the window, but the AC was working well so not such a problem.
- Simone (8/5): Wonderful authentic experience in a beautiful city - The house is in the heart of the peaceful Geisha district. The host was wonderful, helpful, thoughtful and the property was quiet and very clean. We loved sleeping on futons on tatami mats, very comfortable. The clothes rail was useful but I would have liked a few drawers to sort out my clothing.

- Ondřej (8/5): Comfortable stay at a great location! - Perfect location. Lovely owner who is knowledgeable and can share many tips for the city. Very clean. Walls are quite thin so you can hear people in other rooms, but that's how it is.

Il nous a expliqué et recommandé plusieurs endroits à voir lors de notre séjour et même dans la région pour la suite de notre voyage La cuisine/salon est spacieuse et agréable. Il y a plusieurs toilettes et douche donc pas d'embouteillage. Le lit se creuse pas mal au centre, il est peut-être un peu vieux.

Host gave us good recommendations for food and activities. Host could speak really good English. Good for smaller travel groups of 2 to 3 people. Nothing, I recommend bringing Earplugs if you can't sleep with some noises around.

- lorenzo (10/5): Assolutamente fantastico - Il gestore è stato la persona più gentile del mondo, ci ha dato tantissimi consigli utili che abbiamo ovviamente seguito su posti in cui mangiare e da visitare, ci ha anche accompagnato in stazione il mattino della partenza con la sua automobile personale e hi ha fatto divertire facendo due chiacchiere, consigliatissimo. Ps voto 10 su 9 e il grandissimo shisui rimarrà per sempre il nostro mito e salvatore, ciao shisui.

Thanks to Shuji for his kindness and helpfulness and welcoming us to Kanazawa. We had a great stay.
