We verbleven hier 2 nachten met onze tieners. We sliepen in een propere kamer, met een mooie badkamer erbij. De eerste ochtend vertrokken we al vroeg naar Yosemite en we kregen van de gastvrouw een heerlijk en uitgebreid ontbijt mee. De volgende ochtend hebben we ter plaatse het heerlijke ontbijt ter plaatse gegeten. Geen opmerkingen.

• Carlos (10/5): A Cozy Home Away from Home Near Yosemite - Our stay at this cozy bed and breakfast was absolutely perfect—it truly felt like a home away from home. The warmth and hospitality made us instantly comfortable, and the charming, homey atmosphere added to the experience. The highlight was the incredible chef who prepared delicious, hearty breakfasts each morning, making sure we were well-fueled for our adventures. She also shared wonderful local tips and insider advice for exploring Yosemite, which made our visit even more memorable and stress-free. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay!

Mariposa cute little town but restaurants close by 9, so go out early! Helene’s advice made our trip to Yosemite. Thank you! The breakfast is just out of this world and it kept us going all day at Yosemite. There was a hummingbird in the garden as we ate the following morning. Just wished we had a couple of days at the park - next time! Nothing.

• Patricia (7/5): Super friendly owners who provided a personal service in their home. - The owners were fantastic which really helped us in planning our 2 days here. The advice was invaluable. Even made us a pack up to take out for the day when we left before breakfast. Ron also booked restaurant for us before we arrived. This is the owners home and outside was very cluttered with lots of old furniture and personal items. This did not appeal to us but maybe that’s a personal thing. It is up a steepish hill which may not be good for those with mobility issues

• Cathy (10/5): - A very clean, comfy, well-provisioned room at a great price. The highlight was a different superb gourmet breakfast each day prepared from scratch by Helene and her husband. There was also a homemade takeaway on each of the two days we were there - chocolate chunk brownies and buttery shortbread. The overall atmosphere and ambiance was very calming and positive. Definitely coming back!

• Louise (10/5): Quiet, cosy and friendly stay in Mariposa - Our amazing host Hélène greeted us warmly on arrival, even though it was later in the evening when we got there. The room was very spacious, clean and cosy. Bathroom had everything you needed, and the lovely shower was appreciated after long hiking days. The bed was incredibly comfortable and very big. Breakfasts were delicious each morning, and the host even made us yummy snacks for our days in the National Park. The location was excellent if you have a car as you get a scenic drive in and out of Yosemite each day. Also walkable into the centre of Mariposa, where there are lovely shops and restaurants. Nothing. Our stay was perfect.

• Natalia (10/5): Cozy place close to Yosemite - The place is close to Yosemite (1 hour drive) in nice small town. It is very clean and the breakfast was amazing. Nice host lady.she gave us local recommendations and cake for lunch. We felt like at home!
• Mariangela (9/5): A delightful stay - A cozy accommodation with a wanderful guest, a cute garden, comfortable rooms each with their own parking space and patio with sitting space. The home made breakfast, made with fresh ingredients every morning, the best we had in our road trip in California. My husband is gluten intollerant, and our guest made even the effort of making gluten free pancakes for him! We were delighted by our stay, Mariposa is a cute city, just an hour drive from Yosemite National Park main entrance. Nothing, everything very nice. It takes one hour to drive to Yosemite, but the quality of our stay was a compensation for it!

Hélène and Ron are very friendly and gave us useful information for the trails in Yosemite. Delicious home-cooked breakfast with extra pastry treats “to go”. Our son has multiple food allergies. We were asked in advance about dietary restrictions and Hélène prepared a full special breakfast for him! Great hosts! Highly recommend it!

She and her husband were very kind to us and we had great conversations. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. We definitely will visit again if we return to Yosemite.

• Paul (10/5): Peaceful location, spacious room and very welcoming stay - Huge room and huge bed, off-street parking, peaceful location, few minutes walk to restaurants, made-to-order breakfast and very friendly hosts. Even though you are sharing part of their home, we felt very comfortable and welcomed there, and were given lots of information about the local area. Also interesting to meet other guests at breakfast. Not a criticism, but if privacy and separation from other people is highly important for you, you might prefer a hotel.

Mariposa is a nice village with several shops and good restaurants. As Belgians we also liked the brewery pub 1850. The room is cosy, and when the weather is nive you can sit outside The room is a bit old fashioned and the bathroom very small for 4 people. And we had loads of snow, so we could not enjoy the sunny terrace...

It was within walking distance to all the restaurants in town. And the proximity to Yosemite was perfect. I highly recommend the Plaisance Bed & Breakfast. There wasn’t a tv in the room, but we didn’t really need it. After hiking all day we were too tired to watch tv.

Ron had some good tips for our Yosemite visit and Helene's baked goods helped us through the day. :) It is in a nice quiet area but in walking distance to the restaurants. The breakfast was so nice and delicious and Helene played so cute with our daughter. Nothing to mention here. It is an hour drive to the Yosemite, but you know that when you're booking.
• Nora (10/5): Absolutely Perfect - We stayed Sept 29-Oct 1. I've never stayed at a bed and breakfast before but I feel like Helen made our stay more enjoyable than any other we will experience. She was so sweet and welcoming. I did not read the email about check in hours and we came in way past 8 pm and I didn't call to notify her so please be aware of that. She was very sweet about it too. She's had this b&b for 10 yrs, I think hospitality is definitely her calling. She makes delicious homemade breakfasts. Her eggs are so good! The French toast was delicious! Her husband makes homemade bread that we were lucky enough to have on both mornings we were there. Helen made peach jam that was amazing. She gave us a little homemade treat to take with us each day. She was so sweet with my 3 year old daughter and they have a little playhouse in the front yard that she enjoyed. The room was comfortable and clean. King and queen size bed. Mini fridge, ac and heating. Wifi worked well. She only has three rooms so if you are lucky enough to have your dates available, don't hesitate to book. This means she takes care of the property since it's a part of her home, it's not an overly crowded place. Each room is separate, with separate entries, no shared spaces other than eating breakfast outside on the cute patio which is a beautiful way to start the day. We ate at about 8 am (at the center patio) and then enjoyed Yosemite. I appreciate the checkout at noon, which is nice when you are on a leisurely pace. Thank you again Helen, I'll definitely be back! I'm so glad I was lucky enough to find such a homey, cozy stay! Everything was great!

• Kathryn (10/5): Exceptional - The hostess is a wonderful cook, providing a full breakfast of freshly baked pastries, fruit, yogurt, and eggs cooked to order. She immediately made me feel at home. While my time in Mariposa was taken up with a songwriting retreat, she was quite helpful to other guests with information about the area.

• Giovanni (10/5): Wonderful breakfast - Helene was an super host! Very kind and ready to help, she would ask us every morning what we would like for breakfast, and provide tips about Yosemite. The rooms are very clean and spacious, and include private parking. She also has a Tesla home charger available for electric cars. We arrived at 9pm due to roadworks delay and she accepted us with a happy face still. She would also pack us something sweet and homemade for the trails every day. Slightly expensive, but you get value for money!

• Jessica (9/5): Lovely BnB close to Yosemite area - A small BnB located just away from the main street in Mariposa, really handily located for Yosemite and local attractions. The hosts were very friendly and extremely helpful with lots tips on what to do with our time in the area. We had daily breakfast which was delicious, and were sent off with a variety of cakes made by the host. We stayed for 4 nights so an interim service of the room for tea/coffee and rubbish clearing would have been useful, but that’s being a bit picky.

• Olive (9/5): Yosemite Plaisance, perfect location for your trips to Yosemite NP - Yosemite Plaisance, located in Mariposa, is ideally located for trips to Yosemite NP. It is situated in a quiet area of town and we had regular visits from the local deer population during our stay. Car parking was provided adjacent to our accommodation. A delicious breakfast provided each morning by Helene, outside under a cloudless sky. A perfect way to start our day. In addition, Helene some additional "goodies" to take with us on our trips to Yosemite . Helene was extremely knowledgeable on places to visit and routes to take during our stay We couldn't fault our stay. Everything on our stay was ideal and nothing springs to mind that we didn't like. A perfect location.

Helene is an amazing cook and made us delicious and filling breakfasts each morning. Would highly recommend and would be happy to stay there next time we’re in Mariposa or Yosemite area!

Couldn’t ask for more… on the first morning we got breakfast to go, it was a perfect selection of stuffed croissants, fruits and the most delicious chocolate cake we’ve ever eaten. On the second morning we got fresh berries and fruits, eggs, apple pie etc. Perfect place to start your Yosemite adventure!

Short stroll to town, meaning you can leave your car when going for dinner. Mattresses on both our beds were very much on the soft side - but that’s a matter of personal taste.

Ron and Helene were such gracious hosts from the wonderful breakfast that is served in the morning to the trail treats they gave us for the day. We also enjoyed spending the morning chatting it up with them and their knowledge of the area was so helpful in planning our day. The room was super clean, comfortable, and quiet. We would definitely stay here again on our next Yosemite adventure! :)

The breakfasts were fantastic. Plenty for any appetite. She would also give us some sort of snack (brownies, shortbread…) for later in the day. We enjoyed our stay, and would highly recommend their establishment!!!
