- Christina Hastie (10/5): - Great stay at Laguna resort, which is a quiet and relaxing retreat on the outskirts of Vilamoura. Taxi to the marina is around €6, excluding tip. You could walk although it’s about 30mins in the heat. Limited dining options on the resort but plenty within a short taxi ride. Villa cleaned 6 days (Sunday off), downside was the hot tub is not operational and top level unusable, also patio area could have been cleaner. Food from the cafe was okay, though priced at a premium compared to other similar cafes even at the Marina. Staff were helpful and friendly. Definitely would return.

Really enjoyed hiring the bike for free. Mostly importantly thecstaff were really nice especially the nice lady in reception who did my check in & the gentleman in the bar was was helpful. The price was affordable & good value. I would definitely come back again.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Disappointed - Booked a "golf view" room which we'd had on a previous stay to be able to watch the sunset and enjoy the late afternoon sun on the balcony. Not only did we not get that or similar room the balcony off the living room of the apartment we did have was not where we could see out from the sofa (just a window view of apartment block opposite and the sky) and the other was off the bedroom and got very little sun because of the apartment overhang above making over half the balcony in shade. Shan't book here in future as no guarantee I would'nt be disappointed again. I did communicate with the hotel whilst there about my experience but they said they had no other rooms available.

- Oswy (10/5): - The unit we stayed in was bright and airy, large patio doors, large windows, really distinct from conventional Portuguese builds. Loved the unit the setting was in a secure setting. The unit itself could do with more storage units for personal ware and more hooks to hang clothes, otherwise the kitchenette was well equipped, with even 2 ovens. All in all no complaints. Staff were very helpful, free bikes was a bonus.
- Joanna (10/5): Brilliant stay and hope to return again soon - Our apartment met all our needs. The staff we spoke with were highly efficient and friendly. We had the sun on our balcony most of the day. We stayed in February and some apartments can be cold but this one was warm and cosy from the moment we arrived. We walked into the marina and also used Uber which is great value ranging from €2.81 to €5.40 per trip. We will return again soon. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Disappointed that, when we enquired about getting more coffee pods for the coffee machine in our room we were told that we weren’t allowed more. (we only got 2 for a 6 day stay)

Stayed over looking golf course which gave us fantastic views (go armed with your mosquito repellant though) - the cafe and bar are well stocked and we enjoyed breakfasts and some lunches there. Pool area is lovely and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. Sadly the bar closed each night at 8pm - this may vary though depending on season. Ubers into Vilamoura and surrounding areas were always on hand and very reasonably priced (around 3.50 euro to Vilamoura) we would definitely book to go again

- Verified traveler (4/5): A nice place but a disappointing experience - When we got there, we were told we were the first to arrive, yet were placed in a ground floor apartment next to the pool - one that didn't get sun any time of the day. We asked for a different one, but was told it was full, despite there being 7 people by the pool and no more than a dozen cars parked on the property!! The A/C didn't work in either the lounge or the bedroom and for the three nights we stayed there, it wasn't working for 2 of them. We used their 'whatsapp concierge' to report this, but nobody replied.

- Bianca Alexandra (10/5): Very good place to stay in Vilamoura! - We had a very nice stay at the hotel. The room was very spacious, clean, quiet and very well furnished. The kitchen was very useful and the room was easily accessible. There was a lot of free parking for the guests and the hotel was very close to the beach and to the center of Vilamoura (5-10 minutes away by car). The only downsides were that the bed was kind of hard and that the right way to get to the hotel was hard to find because the Maps app on iPhone leads you to the wrong hotel, you need to use Google maps to not be misled! We would come back for sure.

- Katie (8/5): Nice trip - Apartment was large, modern, clean and well equipped. Loved the cafe on site and the pastry service. We used both for breakfasts. The grounds and pool area were also very nice and not crowded (but we were there in April). There's not much in the immediate area but Vilamoura only a 25min walk, which was fine for us. Easy to get an uber quickly if you did want a ride. Vilamoura itself is clean and pleasant but not that much to do for us. We travelled into Faro for one day and then used the Zoomarine bus to visit there for the day. Having said this I imagine if we went in peak season we would probably just go to the beach everyday! Lots of choice of restaurants which were average prices, around 50/60 euros per meal. A very pleasant mini break overall.

- stuart (10/5): Relaxing - Nice place to relax with balcony overlooking the pool although pool too cold in feb. Slightly far out of Vilamoura if you don’t drive. We hired bikes so only took about 10 minutes to get into town. Fully equipped kitchen but plenty of restaurants in town.

- B (10/5): Perfect in every way! - We were a group of three friends who had booked a deluxe apartment for 4 nights. Surprisingly on arrival we were shown to room 312, it appeared to be a free upgrade to a three bedroom, three bathroom, 4 balcony and roof terrace apartment - a triplex apartment stretching over three floors! It was amazing and really made our holiday! There was so much space for us and we couldn't have asked for anymore. The whole apartment was clean and fresh, with views over the golf course and out to sea. The beds were comfy, lots of storage for our stuff and all amenities were covered. The hotel staff were friendly and so helpful - full of advice on what to do and where to eat etc. They even helped us order a takeaway to our room and brought us up some milk in the morning for our tea (we forgot to buy milk at the local store). The pool was clean with enough beds for everyone and the green spaces were kept neat and well presented. I cannot express how impressed we were with the hotel, I would recommend it to everyone! We are so grateful to the staff for helping to make out stay so enjoyable. Thank you Laguna Resort, a holiday we will never forgot. It will be hard for the next hotel to live up to!

- Kieran (10/5): Laguna Resort - My girlfriend and I stayed in the Laguna Resort for 7 nights. We stayed a lovely ground floor apartment which was very clean. The room was recently renovated and the interior is well maintained. The hotel itself is located approx 20 mins walk away from the Vilamoura marina but the walk had footpaths the whole way. The pool area in the hotel is nice, plenty of sunbeds. The pool bar has also been recently renovated and it is very large with plentiful seating. All in all, we would recommend staying in this apartment again.
- Shaun (10/5): Amazing stay at a stunning resort - This was a last minute 5 day holiday for my girlfriend and I. Following reviews that we saw online we decided to book at the Laguna Resort for our first holiday together and to Portugal. What a beautiful resort we arrived too, arriving very early for check in, we were surprised to be informed that our room was ready for us and that we would be able to check in. The staff were extremely helpful by providing information on the area and giving advice on how to get to places. We walked into our apartment (room 003), to see a beautifully presented space that was inviting. The facilities were amazing and the views we got, even from ground floor was stunning. The pool area was nice and relaxing and allowed space for both families and couples. The new bar/cafe was not open as yet but they had opened up one of the villas next to the pool as a temporary bar which was greatly appreciated, who doesn’t want a beer/cocktail by the pool! Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we are looking to return to this stunning resort!

- Blacksheep (8/5): Great find! - We stayed in a three bedroom townhouse. Bedrooms were all large, modern and clean. Ground floor consisted of a twin bedroom, ensuit, another toilet, a large lounge diner and a well equipped kitchen leading out onto a decent sized garden with a Portuguese BBQ. First floor was a twin and a double room, both ensuit. Then there was stairs up to a roof terrace, and hot tub although door out to these was locked as hot tub out of order. Disappointing, but it wasn’t listed on our amenities. All in all a great place to stay. A cab ride from the Marina though, or get a car. Pool is unheated, so fresh in the autumn! I would guess it gets busy in the summer as lots of hotel rooms here as well. Pool bar really helps with good quality drinks and reasonably priced bar food. Hotel grounds are emaculate. We shall return!
- Marc (10/5): absolutely beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting - We have just come back from a 4 night stay at the hotel, and I can truly say it is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in. The 1 bed room apartment over looking the golf course was amazing. The room was very modern, and the cleanliness was impeccable. The rooms have everything you need if you want to do your own cooking in the apartment, and the bed was so comfortable. The hotel was located about a 20 minute walk to the marina, whilst this did not bother up at all, the taxis were only about 6 euros. The only thing I would recommend, if you have a late check in, I would next time email the hotel in advance, and ask if they could leave some milk in the room, so you can have a hot drink for the morning. We did not realise this could be done. The hotel staff were really helpful, and polite. Excellent value for money, and should be a 5 star hotel.
- Charles (6/5): One next get stay, some good and some bad. - I’ve just returned from an overnight at the Laguna resort with 7 friends! I appreciate it is difficult to get a place big enough to fit 8, however the Laguana resort accommodated us. At reception we were greeted by a Alexandre, who was very helpful! However, check in was meant to be 16:00 and as when we arrived at 17:30 the villa still wasn’t clean. Also, I had booked it for 8 people, but was told at reception I had to pay an extra €46 for an extra bed. This was not the case when I booked it and as such I refused to pay the additional charge! Not a great start. The cleaners were still in the villa as we entered the villa, however the were so cheery and helpful. The villa itself was spacious, clean, tidy and had everything we needed for our one night stay! The rooms were big enough for us all. There was however a leak in every shower which meant we had to get mops and towels out to dry the floors! We never used the pool, however we had a walk round and the place was nice and clean with plenty of beds. Upon checking out I was asked again to pay the extra charge for the bed, which I refused to do and once again produced my booking slip to highlight this was not part of my booking arrangement! The request to pay extra was not appreciated and was very disappointing. At present I think I will look elsewhere for next year.
- Sarah-Jane (10/5): Very nice - excellent apartments! - Fantastic apartments - we stayed in the 3 bedroom deluxe apartments. Excellent service, very friendly staff and very good with kids. Best apartments we have stayed at. Would definitely recommend. The apartment was huge - loads of space, superb! All staff are so helpful, definitely worth a visit.
- ian (8/5): Very Nice - Found these apartments to be very peaceful, clean, tidy and well maintained, spent 7 nights here, and found these apartments to be perfect for a quiet week close to marina, I would say that its more like 30 minutes walk, although the resort employees say its 20 minutes, but over all I would recommend these apartments for Vilamoura.

- andy (10/5): Nice hotel clean stylish and very good staff - Villas exceeded expectation very spacious modern and welll equipped. Staff very good Carla the director very helpful and went out of her way to help. Particular mention to Carla in the kids club, she was superb looking after my three children daily , they couldn't Waite for her to start at 10am, they had a great time and her patience and time with the children helped them have a great time. Thank you Carla's!!!
- Sue (10/5): Prestige Hotel very close to Villamoura - We love Laguna Resort as it is very peaceful, clean and very pristine. It feels very safe with its security and the gates closed at 10pm. It is so close to the motorway if you are driving. There are excellent facilities within 20 minutes walk and it overlooks the golf course. The only downside we experienced was ants crawling in one of the kitchen cupboards as there was a small whole in the back of the cupboard however the cleaners were soon in to spray them.
- Steve (10/5): Excellent apartment complex with outstanding staff - We really appreciated the excellent service from staff and our apartment was lovely. It is just over a mile from the amazing Falesia beach and slightly further to the Marina which you can walk to comfortably in half an hour or get a short taxi ride for about 6 Euros. The hotel itself does have a pool which was basic but clean and also has a pool bar. Best of all was the fact that discovering in the airport departure lounge that I had left some cards in one of the bedrooms the reception staff retrieved them and agreed to post them back to me - outstanding service and greatly appreciated.
- Craig (10/5): Excellent modern, clean accomodation!! - Great stay - would definitely recommend here although a car is advised as it's quite a walk into the marina. The staff cannot do enough for you. We had a problem with our air conditioning unit which was rectified straight away. I wasn't expecting the room to be cleaned and towels replaced everyday as it was a villa so that was fab and more like the service received in a hotel.
- Phil (10/5): Absolute Gem - This place is a real find. Absolutely brilliant. Our room was top top drawer, literally, a luxury apartment. It`s 20mins walk to the harbour, and if you drive, 4 mins. We got a cab for 5 euros easily. We were sceptical about booking because of early reviews from people staying when it first opened, but we took a chance, and it paid off handsomely. They have got the place sorted. The staff are nice people, and they care about you and your stay. We are definitely booking again next year.

- Eddie (8/5): Chilled out holiday - The complex was about a 20 minute walk to marina, the 3 bed town house was very spacious and had every thing you would need.
- Bex (8/5): Great apartment for a restful break. - Warm welcome on arrival with great information on the local area. Lovely relaxing pool area with pool bar if you wanted a cold drink or snack. Our initial room had a small problem which was quickly attended to and we were offered a great alternative which was worth the move. All handled wonderfully by reception. I gave 4 star overall as the trek to the shop for fresh groceries was a little far, that said if you had a car it would be no trouble. Would recommend for anyone seeking a relaxing break in the sun.
- colind (8/5): Well situated for golf courses - A great three nights at the Laguna resort our apartment overlooked the Laguna golf course and was clean and well equipped. It was quiet and a taxi to the marina was only €5 My only issue was you could not run the hot water in the 2 bathrooms at the same time I would certainly go back here
