O jantar no restaurante do hotel foi muito bom, com uma excelente cozinha. Localização muito pratica, próxima de muitas empresas de turismo para atividades pela ilha. Pequeno almoço de nível bom, nada especial. Para um 5 estrelas poderia ser melhor. No primeiro dia faltou reposição de muitos produtos talvez pela alta demanda e falta de efetivo. O pessoal de maneira geral foi muito prestativo e simpático. Nos dias seguintes resolvemos chegar mais cedo para o pequeno-almoço e assim foi melhor.

The staff, the Spa, the restaurant and bar, and the views from the rooms are unmatched. Because this is a Fine Hotel & Resort with American Express, we got breakfast included, a room upgrade, guaranteed late check-out out, use of the spa for 1 hour each day, and $100 room credit. We were able to charge most tours to our room as well. We easily walked everywhere in the city to restaurants, parks, and other tourist attractions. One of the best hotels we've stayed at in the world!

- CHRISTOPHER (10/5): T0P NOTCH PLACE TO STAY IN PONTA DELGADA. - This was my second stay at the Octant Hotel and was just as good. Room was light and spacious with good view of the sea harbour and marina. Staff affable and helpful. Xmas Eve dinner was a veritable feast with five courses. Loved the individualistic touches like the beautiful weighty German Taschler (?) tomes in the communal areas. Excellent choice of buffet breakfast. Even though I stayed over Xmas, the room rate was exceptionally good value. Appreciated the personal touches in the room. Only c. ten minutes' walk into the town centre. N/A.

The room was on the small side but well designed and we slept very well, even in daytime hours. Will definitely return. Bonus—if you have Amex it is in the fine hotels, so all the benefits that go with that.

The staff was extremely friendly as well, the room had a great view, and it was a quick walk to the downtown areas. I would highly recommend!

The price for Christmas dinner was really expensive and for that price I thought a live band would be there, Christmas tree where we are eating. Was expecting it to be more festive and not just dinner. Our room walls were damaged in one spot and could have used some refinishing with paint.

A interior tem tanto cloro que arde nos olhos. Só fomos uma vez, não conseguimos está mais que 15 minutos. Pequena a piscina e o cloro não se consegue ficar. A nossa suite as casa de banho tudo em preto e pouca luminosidade. E alguns materiais da casa de banho a cair Precisa de uma reforma. Não tem parque privado para os clientes tivemos que pagar um parque extra. Pontos positivos o pequeno almoço maravilhoso. A comida deliciosa. Os colaboradores sempre atenciosos.

The omelettes were so good too! The roof top bar has a great view of the bay. Not all sea view rooms have balconies. And the parking fee is high at $15 per night. But you won’t find street parking nearby.

- Sebastian (10/5): Ein perfekter Aufenthalt mit Blick auf Meer und Hafen - Wir hatten einen außergewöhnlich schönen Aufenthalt, besonders wegen des gepflegten Spa- und Fitnessbereichs, in dem jederzeit Wasser, Obst und frische Handtücher bereitstanden. Das Frühstück war sehr abwechslungsreich und qualitativ hochwertig, und das Personal war freundlich und angenehm zurückhaltend. Unser Zimmer war groß, gut aufgeteilt und bot einen großartigen Blick auf Meer und Hafen, und den Parkservice würden wir jedem empfehlen. Der zweimal tägliche Roomservice, die gut bestückte Minibar und die liebevollen Willkommenssnacks haben unseren Besuch perfekt ergänzt. Unser Aufenthalt war insgesamt sehr angenehm, wirkliche Kritikpunkte gab es nicht. Einzig der Rooftop-Pool war in der Nebensaison unbeheizt und dadurch zu kalt, um ihn nutzen zu können.

From the delicious, healthy breakfast (with plenty of options for vegans, gluten free and vegetarians) to the well -equipped clean gym to the most comfortable beds. I got the best sleep I've had in years! Love their attention to sustainability details. Staff was very welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend!

- 119katjan (10/5): Highly recommended - Loved staying at this hotel. Nice big rooms that are very inviting and comfortable with a great view of the marina and sunrise. It’S the perfect haven to rest and relax with lots of nice places to sit and unwind — they had one of my favourite books in my room, as well as many books in various sitting areas of the hotel. The spa is small but lovely, I had my dog with me, and he absolutely loved his stay too, with all the staff’s attention and a nice big bed in our room, along with bowls and a toy. Excellent breakfast with excellent filter coffee, and again, very attentive polite staff.

- chatto91 (2/5): Worst Spa Experience Ever - I had a massage at the hotel spa, and unfortunately it was my worst spa experience ever. From the start, check-in was confusing with no front desk staff, and the massage room had open windows letting in traffic noise and cigarette smells. I had a scrub service that required a cold shower in the same room as the masseuse waiting, which was uncomfortable and awkward. The towels were thin, leaving me damp for the remainder of the massage, and there was no follow-up to ask about my experience. I would strongly recommend saving your time and money and going somewhere else.

- SusanfromSTL (8/5): Solid overall but more like a good 4 star anywhere else - Solid overall as I had an upper level room with a beautiful view. Breakfast was expansive. Hotel was also very accommodating as far as early check in. Hard for me to rate this hotel as 5 star based on my travels though. Service in rooftop pool bar area needs more staffing as it took forever to get served both times I was there.
