• Wendy (10/5): Wonderful property in the heart of Sorrento - What a wonderful property to spend 4 nights at. It is in a fantastic location, so close to the market streets, the Piazza and easy walk from the train station. Our room was very spacious, spotlessly clean, great shower, comfy beds and lovely provisions too. We had two sets of opening doors that overlooked the main street. Vera was a treasure. Nothing was too much trouble. She was very helpful and her breakfast was yummy! Highly recommend you stay here! Nothing really. Just be aware (and it is clearly stated when you book so it's not a surprise), it is on the second floor and there is no lift. If you have mobility issues, it could be difficult but otherwise, it's no big deal.

• Koichi (10/5): ソレントを訪れたら、また滞在します！ - 私たち60歳代夫婦はIl Giardino Segreto に3泊しました。とてもすばらしいB&Bでした。Veraさん、ありがとうございました。 立地：街の中心部のタッソ広場のすぐ近くです。ナポリやポンペイに直通する電車やアマルフィへのバスが発着するソレント駅まで徒歩で5分ちょっとです。沿岸各地へのフェリー乗り場へは長い階段を下って約10分です。ソレントの街歩き、アマルフィ海岸、カプリ島、ナポリとポンペイ観光の拠点として最高の立地です。レストランに困ることはありません。スーパーもすぐ近くにあります。 部屋：オリーブの部屋に滞在しました。とても快適でした。ベッド・リビングエリアにはソファとデスクがあり、十分な広さがあります。バスルーム（バスタブはなくシャワーだけ）もゆとりがあります。収納もたっぷりです。ベランダがあることもありがたかった。そして何よりも特筆すべきはその清潔さでした。Veraさんの管理が行き届いていました。 朝食：パンや自家製ジャム、ジュース、ヨーグルトなどがテーブルにのっています。カプチーノなどのコーヒーはオーダーします。トーストを焼いてくれます。ハムやチーズも冷蔵庫から出してくれます。いただきませんでしたが、卵料理も提供していただけます。観光に忙しくてゆったりと朝食をとれない日本人にとっては、一日の始まりの食事として十分でした。 階段：入口から約40段の階段を上る必要があります。重いスーツケースをもって昇り降りするのは大変だなと最初は危惧していました。しかし杞憂でした。Veraさんが声をかけると、屈強な男性が集まってきて、スーツケースを上げ下ろししてくれます。階段はマイナスの評価にはあたりません。

The location is absolutely ideal—tucked away yet perfectly situated to explore everything Sorrento has to offer. ​Vera is a phenomenal host whose warmth and kindness truly made our trip. She goes above and beyond for her guests; on a particularly rainy day, she took the initiative to contact the port to confirm the ferry schedules for us, which saved us so much trouble. Her local dinner recommendations were also spot on, leading us to some of the best meals of our journey. ​And then there is the breakfast—Vera makes the absolute best scrambled eggs! It was the perfect start to our mornings, right along with the "best morning alarm" one could ask for: the local church bells. Waking up to that sound every day was a beautiful, authentic experience that we already miss. ​If you are looking for a flawless stay in Sorrento with a personal touch, this is it! Okay so we had to walk up some stairs, great little work out.

My room was comfortable and clean. It had a nice terrace and a view of the church and main street on one side and the garden on the other side. Na enkele hectische dagen in Napels hadden we een kort verblijf in Sorrento gepland om de Amalfikust te verkennen. De naam van het verblijf is absoluut niet toevallig gekozen. Ondanks de centrale ligging word je, zodra je door de poort stapt, meteen overvallen door een oase van rust. De ontvangst was bijzonder hartelijk en je voelt je er meteen welkom en thuis. Gastvrouw Vera doet er werkelijk alles aan om het verblijf zo aangenaam mogelijk te maken en staat steeds klaar met raad en daad. Ik kan deze plek dan ook alleen maar aanbevelen

• seanne (10/5): Fabulous - Unique, handy place to stay in this spectacular town. We were made welcome by Vera who helped us organise our days, making calls on our behalf. We had to get out early on two of the mornings. Vera ensured we could pack a little picnic in the morning to take with us. We enjoyed her home made jams and pastries. Snacks and drinks were made available all day. Our room had two aspects to the back - I greatly enjoyed winding down sitting on our own private balcony.

She prepared each morning a beautiful breakfast, with special Italian Easter pastries and homemade marmalades. We were there over the Easter weekend and she kindly helped us figure the train and bus schedules for the holiday weekend. Our large room was nicely decorated, with comfortable beds and a nice view of the church and cafes on the street below. Vera's B&B is close to the main square, but it was still quiet at night. We also loved that her B&B is centrally located, within easy walking distance of the main attractions. When we next visit Sorrento, we will stay again at Il Giardino Segreto and highly recommend staying here. With all the thoughtful touches and wonderful recommendations, Vera made our stay truly special. Vera, grazie mille!

Highly recommended by us, and the timing of breakfast perfect. The stairs to the property were a bit daunting but this was highlighted in advertising so we were fully aware prior to booking. Vera was extremely helpful when we arrived with our luggage and also when we departed. Persons younger than us should have no difficulty whatsoever.

Placious, Clean, a big selection and warm breakfast (we have a big appetite in the morning), beautiful view of the secret garden, modern and classical design in each room and a breakfast room, and great WiFi environment. Our kids are especially happy with great high-tech TV and audio selections. We especially enjoyed talking with Vera and Antonino. They are so friendly and helpful who have full of hospitality and kindness. There is nothing like this among everywhere we had stayed. You can stay just like your home. Nothing, but there are a lot of stairs until you reach the front desk and rooms. Antonino was so kind to offer for assistance. Make sure you have enough energy to go up!

• 美慧 (10/5): - 拉行李從拿波里沿線玩到索連多，去了龐貝遺址、赫庫蘭尼姆遺址、維蘇威火山，所以有點累。到了民宿，竟然還要抬行李到三樓，真的很想哭。但過程中，鄰居男孩主動幫忙抬行李，民宿女主人熱情地歡迎，並看到唯美的樓梯花園景色，疲憊都消除了。再進入超級漂亮的房間，覺得一天的努力都值得了。 在22天的旅程中，這裡是我們住過最棒的一間民宿，點點滴滴都可以看到主人的用心。房間及浴室的配色，大膽、漂亮，很有品味。衛浴裡還有吊浴巾的架子，超級貼心。每一個細節都做得很好。 早上用餐在一個大餐桌，有家的感覺，剛好與另一對房客一起用餐，交換了許多旅遊心得，感覺非常好，是其他住宿沒有的體驗。 感謝退房後，讓我們寄放一下行李，得以在港邊好好逛逛，找好搭船到卡布里島的地點，並發現到港邊有公車可以坐，不過半小時才一班喔！到港邊有50公尺的高低差，所以必須坐計程車喔！有電梯可以搭，下到港邊，但行李要拉得有點遠。所以還是依照民宿主人的建議搭計程車，最實際。

The room was spacious, modern, and very clean. It has all the amenities of any large hotel. Vera was a wonderful host; catering to our requests and making the best eggs for breakfast! I left some items in the safe.😩 They were gifts for my friends. She took the time from her busy schedule to get them in the mail to me-from Sorrento Italy to Florida! I loved our stay. It was such a memorable experience, and Vera made it happen. There was nothing I didn't like.

Wir hatten einen Balkon mit Sicht auf den Garten. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und fein, es gab auch selbstgebackene Brioche, Pancakes und hausgemachte Konfitüren. Frau Vera bot auch ein glutenfreies Frühstück an. Sie war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir fühlten uns von Anfang an sehr wohl in der Unterkunft und kommen gerne wieder. Nichts!

The location is simply perfect – right in the heart of Sorrento, just above the main street and within easy reach of the central harbor. The property is very clean, well maintained, and has a welcoming atmosphere. Vera, the host, was absolutely delightful – warm, helpful, and always ready with great tips and advice for everything we needed during our stay. Breakfast was homemade, fresh, and delicious, adding a personal touch to each morning. We truly enjoyed our time here and would be happy to return on our next visit to Sorrento. Highly recommended! One small note: the place can be a little tricky to find, especially if you arrive by car, since it is located directly on the main street and there’s no parking at the entrance. However, there is a convenient parking lot less 100 M. it is better to look for the parking directly

Location is just in the heart of Sorrento, close to the train stain, bus station, city center and also port. It was perfectly clean. Breakfast was quite enough, even with eggs with your preferred cooking style. Vera was super helpful and kind. She gave us suggestions about the region and also even she helped us to find a nice place to stay in Capri. Highly recommended.

• Harry (4/5): wenig professionell - zu teuer. - lage nahe beim bahnhof, aber laut. man muss mit gepäck etliche treppen steigen, bis man zur unterkunft kommt. frühstück gibt es erst ab 8.30h. preis-leistung ist schlecht, eine nacht kostet 200 euro, für dieses geld, bekommt man andernorts entschieden mehr. das ganze wird von der besitzerin geführt, sie ist bemüht und nett, aber die leistung stimmt trotzdem nicht mit dem preis überein.

• ΜΗΝΑΣ (10/5): - The best possible accommodation premises in Sorrento! Everything was perfect! Very clean with daily cleaning, very comfortable and the owner was so kind and always there for anything we needed.

Spotlessly clean, fabulous location in central Sorrento, close to bus drop off from the port, short walk to the train & taxis, supermarket on the doorstep, plenty of cafes, restaurants, bars & shops. Vera our host was exceptional during our stay & her communication with us was great! She was so helpful with recommendations & advice on local beach’s, where to eat & how to get around with ease. We got to meet fellow guests at breakfast which was a lot of fun!
• Michael (10/5): Exceptional - Our stay at Il Giardino was incredible. Only a few minutes walk from the station, we were greeted by Vera who was extremely accomodating and an excellent host. Our room was clean, spacious and included an amazing private terrace with an incredible view of the Sorrento mountains. Honestly the photos make the room look smaller than it actually is. We highly recommend any couple to stay here. One thing to keep in mind is the location is right on the Main Street which is excellent for restaurants, shopping and distance to ferries and the beach. But if you’re looking for a peaceful getaway, maybe look elsewhere as the city centre can get noisy and the church bells ring at 8am which is right across the road. Not a problem for us as breakfast was at 8:30 and we were up early for the ferries and boat trips. We’d definitely be back whenever we return to Sorrento. Nothing, it was perfect
• julia (8/5): - Family owned bed and breakfast. It takes 40+ stairs to the apartments. Our apartment was spacious and very clean with great amenities. Unfortunately, for the time of our stay, wifi was not working, but it did start working on our last day. Air conditioning in our room was also not working well. Very conveniently located with walking distance to all shopping and restaurants as well as ferry. Great breakfast and coffee. Overall highly recommend.

• Rachael (10/5): Wonderful place to stay - Being greeted with a big friendly smile by Vera is the perfect start after a flight and coach ride. Our triple room overlooked the main street full of vibrant colours, sounds and smells. Our room was very cozy and clean, the bathroom with tropical shower was a delight after travelling in the hot weather. The windows blocked out all of the street noise at night. The house is full of incredible photos taken on their travels. Vera makes you feel at home instantly. After a spot of cake shopping we stopped for a lovely lunch, then we walked through the back streets and found lots of lovely little places including an old church selling some beautiful pieces of Biagio Barile, and carried on to take in the beauty of Vallone dei Mulini. We wandered down towards the harbour and watched the sun lower before making our way to the restaurant to soak up the nights vibes. Next day Vera and her husband made a delightful breakfast with homemade jams and brioche, before we said our goodbyes and caught the train to Pompeii. We loved our stay here Leaving.... ....we didn't have the time to visit more of Sorrento

• Alexandra (10/5): Amazing place and host - you need to stay here. - A beautiful place to stay - the location is perfect (close to restaurants and transport links) and the rooms were immaculate and comfortable. Vera is a very helpful host, she helped us arrange taxis to and from the airport and also for when we were affected by a train strike and set us aside a breakfast pack for when we needed to leave early for a tour. Vera was very friendly, answered my many questions very well and cooked a fabulous breakfast. My son loved the scrambled eggs and brioche rolls so much. The rooms are so quiet and comfortable, we all slept so well. I'd recommend staying here to everyone and would love to return one day. Nothing - this is a gem of a place to stay.

• Philip (10/5): We had an excellent stay with Vera. The room was beautifully decorated and furnished - Everything. The owner, Vera, was very friendly and helpful. The bedroom and ensuite bathroom were very spacious and beautifully decorated in contemporary style. The bed was large and very comfortable and there were complimentary snacks in the room. Breakfast was plentiful and included tasty homemade items. The position of the property was excellent. It is approached via a security gate directly off the main shopping thoroughfare but once inside the apartment block there is no noise whatsoever. Helpfully, there is a bakery/ cafe immediately outside the gate and this was a great place to purchase a picnic or snack. Nothing, everything was perfect

Vera, the host, made us so welcome, provided us with a lovely breakfast every morning and organised a taxi to Pompeii for us when we discovered that a train strike had put a spanner in the works. The location is fabulous - literally a 30 second walk to the central piazza in Sorrento (Piazza Tasso) - and an easy 5 minute walk to the station. I would thoroughly recommend it. Nothing! If I'm really pushed to find something, the steps up to the property nearly killed us after dragging our luggage from the station, but we knew about them and the property is on the second floor, so there's not a lot you can do. Other than that, honestly nothing!

• Janet (10/5): A little piece of paradise surrounded by Sorrento’s lemons and lush gardens - Il Giardino Segreto ,while on the main street of Sorrento is hidden beyond a lovely gate leading to the stairs which take you into a little paradise. Antonio was very helpful in assisting us to carry our very heavy baggage up the stairs and Vera is an absolute gem even making pancakes at breakfast as well as eggs and the delicious Italian sweet pastries. She was also so helpful in telling us about all the restaurants we could choose from. It would really be a chore to find anything negative of IL GIARDINO SEGRETO
• Scott (10/5): Perfect place to stay in Sorrento - The location is perfect - steps from the main square, and minutes from the train station. Our room was great - big, clean and had a private terrace. The host (Vera) provides wonderful breakfast, and snacks/drinks are available all day and night. She also provides tons of information about restaurants, sightseeing, and can arrange drivers and tours. We'll tell anyone going to Sorrento to stay here
• Ralph (8/5): Overall a pleasant stay - Overall, a pleasant stay there for 4 nights. Very clean, 5 min walk to train station, large beautiful room overlooking Corso Italia, very quiet at night. There is a long 2 flights of stairs to get to the check in and rooms and no elevator...didn't bother me. But you might consider that if mobility is an issue. This BnB is very central to all things Sorrento.

• Leanna (10/5): - The host, Vera was very welcoming and gracious. The rooms are clean, roomy and very comfortable. A private roof top terrace assesible from our room was a lovely surprise. The location was in the heart of historic Sorrento making everything we wanted to see and experience within walkng distance. Breakfast was perfect with eggs, pancakes, homemade sweet rolls and an assortment of jams, spreads, yogurts and juices. Highly recommend. The one thing you need to be aware of is that the entrance is located up a couple flights of stairs. This wasn't an issue for us but may be for others. Enjoy!

• Lorri (10/5): It's a beautiful and comfortable place centrally located with wonderful breakfasts and daily cleaning service. - The property is very clean and in a central Location to walk everywhere. The room was beautiful with a very comfortable bed and a beautiful private terrace to sit right outside the door. There are restaurants nearby along with the main square and it is close to the train station within a 5 min walk. The host was lovely and friendly with good suggestions of what to see and do in the area and the breakfasts were wonderful! Everything was perfect.
• Kelly (10/5): Lovely place to stay in the heart of Sorrento! - Vera and Antonio are wonderful hosts! This B&B was exceptionally charming. The location is perfectly situated near Piazza Tasso yet it is very quiet. The room was exactly as depicted in the photos and was cleaned and refreshed every day. Breakfast was served each morning with Antonio’s freshly baked brioche and Vera’s homemade jams along with pancakes or other breakfast requests you might have. Vera provided excellent recommendations for sights to see and places to eat as well as transportation information. All of this contributed to an amazing stay in Sorrento. We will definitely return and would not hesitate to stay here again.
