- michaelbR3295MW (10/5): Beyond expectation. - The stay with my wife was warm, inviting and memorable. The gathering areas are expansive with personal heaters when outside. Underground parking is a plus for temperature and security. The room was clean with large bathroom/sink area and happened to get a room with a fantastic view of Bald Mountain. Also, the delicious breakfast had many options including smoked salmon. Highly recommend and will visit again hopefully with more family!

- shanemD9011ZV (10/5): Best staff of any hotel - This was my first experience with any Limelight hotel. The staff was fantastic! From the easy check in to planning some adventures with the concierge, they took great care of us. The free hotel shuttle was super useful; they picked up and dropped us at the airport, drove us around town, and even dropped everything to run us to the hospital when we had an emergency. I've never experienced such good service from any hotel in my life. If I return to Ketchum in the future, the Limelight will be my first pick of where to stay.
- jeremymichael2018 (10/5): Next-Level. Perfect. - Amazing. We got a 2 bedroom suite / full apartment that in any major market would be 5-7K a night. Amazing experience. New. Clean. Quiet. Wolf appliances etc. Awesome staff. Blows the Knobb Hill Inn out of the water. This is the place to stay in Sun Valley. Only complaint is they don’t really have a gym; just a room with like a treadmill but no real issue; just a 15 minute walk straight shot down the street to a nice YMCA, which has everything. And it’s a beautiful walk! Alternatively, you can take one of their Audi’s or their on-sight SUV/driver.

- R8241XSjamest (10/5): First time ski trip with grandkids. - I went with my son's family for their first time on a ski trip. The kids were 2 and 4 years old and we had a lot of fun. Staying in a room with little kids is not easy but the hotel had enough things for them to do that kept them busy and made the trip successful. We went to dollar mountain back and forth a couple time a day and the scuttle service was always there when we needed it.

- madamoiselle_may (10/5): Celebrating Sun Valley’s 90th Anniversary in Style! - Celebrating Sun Valley’s 90th anniversary in style - two friends and I made the trip to ski Baldy, wine + dine around town, and stay at Limelight Ketchum. The Hailey Airport pickup by Mark with Limelight’s valet team was a great arrival experience and seamless. The Main Street location is super central. The ski storage space makes it easy to come + go with gear. Live music in the living room created a nice atmosphere in the evening. Our room had an abundance of natural light and space and storage. We loved the list of “forgot something, we’ve got it,” and requested slippers and toothpaste as complimentary amenities. We enjoyed breakfast daily and meeting Chef Arturo. And loved the famous Limelight pizza during après. The fitness center gets a 100 from me for its layout, free weights and cardio machines. The free shuttle to River Run made it easy to get to and from the ski hill. And we genuinely appreciated seeing GM John Curnow, hotel manager Denis Cote, and sales manager Bert Witsil on property greeting guests and supporting the staff. Overall, an exceptional experience!

I really enjoyed the spacious area and selection of food and drinks offered. I like that the eggs were cooked differently everyday as well, so you didn't get bored. Having bread from Bigwoods Bakery was a huge plus. I LOVE that transportation was included with our stay so that we did not have to rent a car. They also have bikes available for free, and you would not have to rent them. This town and the scenery are so very beautiful. I did not like that they were cleaning the floor as we were eating breakfast. I feel that it should be done before or after breakfast service. The music selection in the evening is a bit to club like. There are older travelers staying here as well and would appreciate more easy listening selection of music.

An upscale hotel within walking distance of great restaurants and bars in Ketchum and has a nice restaurant and bar on site. Our room was very clean, comfortable and quiet. The rooms and hallways have been very recently updated. The hotel staff are all wonderful. We will definitely return!

The fact you can get a gorgeous "home" away from home in a gorgeous, smart, friendly, upscale hotel that is more a 5 star than a 4 star with a gorgeous kitchen and spacious living room, is just unbelievable and such a gift! It was perfect truly! I NEVER stay at 4 star, only 5 star - worked hard to reach that goal - BUT there were no 5 stars in Ketchum. EXCEPT LIMELIGHT IS A 5 star. There was nothing I would change. Gorgeous bedding, gorgeous decor, unbelievably friendly helpful staff, gorgeous property, great breakfast, gym, etc. I was sooo impressed! Am already booking the one in Mammoth and sooo excited a Limelight is in my local fav ski resort. Will make me go back to Mammoth this season because of Limelight. Thank you to the owners who came up with this brilliant hotel chain, and thank you to the amazing staff who made me love this hotel so much!! The best xoxo

- Nina (9/5): Beautiful and Well Run Hotel - Great location, excellent and varied breakfast, friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable room and beautiful facilities. Great parking. Lovely view. Everything was great except for the first day, when the room next door left their dog for a long time…. All afternoon and evening. The barking was loud through the connecting door and then when the owners returned after 11 pm the dog began playing with a loud squeaky toy until late at night. (Desk was helpful but we did not want to change rooms so late after going to bed and an early hike scheduled the next day. Fortunately the other guests checked out the next day.) Maybe the hotel can consider better sound proofing of unused connecting doors or revised dog policy.

- Joshua (6/5): - The property staff is well-trained; however, elements of this property's age are starting to show, and staff are only following existing SOPs versus proactively handling deficiencies. Dirt on the outside of the admin office door outside the breakfast area, etched slurs within the men's bathroom stall, which weren't touched but reported on day one of a week-long stay. Loose stones are falling off outside the parking garage. Tile work/grout needs bristle cleaning versus just running a mop over the tile when comparing edge grout versus grime buildup of common areas. Hard water buildup on all tile work within the pool and hot tub areas also needs attention. Lastly, another significant change versus when it opened is that staff no longer checks on hot tub or pool users to upsell or promote additional drinks or food, and while an interesting choice, the option of an attendant at least checking was nice. Throughout my entire week, we had no dedicated service within the pool or hot tub areas, even while staff pooled around the bar and were not serving any other customers within the lobby/restaurant areas.

- han-brownn (10/5): Great stay - We had a great stay at the Limelight Hotel. The pool area is a definite highlight, with both hot tubs and a main pool — perfect for relaxing. I’d recommend booking a room with a balcony to enjoy the beautiful views. Breakfast was lovely, with a good range of options to choose from. One of the best perks is the complimentary hotel transport, which is super convenient given that Ketchum has very limited Uber availability. The only downsides were that no food or drinks are available between breakfast and 3:30 PM, and parking is an extra $25 per night. That said, we were overall very happy with our stay and would definitely consider returning.

- Nga (10/5): - This was our first time to ski Sun Valley and we are so glad we chose to stay at Limelight. The rooms were very clean and modern, the included breakfast buffet offered had a nice selection of fresh fruit, juices, hot eggs/potatoes/meats that changed daily, and the restaurant had a wide variety of offerings for both their happy hour and dinner menu. They have a free shuttle service that has regular drop offs to the ski hills and can take you to/from the airport or pretty much anywhere in town you want to go so there is no need for a rental car while here. The staff is very attentive and friendly and will offer many great local recommendations for things to see and do. Most things are within walking distance but if not, they will drive you there. This hotel will always be our choice to stay the next time we come back to Sun Valley.

There were glass bottles of water in the rooms, too, which were a nice touch. The lounge in the evenings was a little loud, and the musician for the evening was *really* loud--the amplification was just turned up way too high, so we had a hard time having conversations with our friends. Great breakfast choices, too.

From the gorgeous art in the lobby to the coffee machines in the room to the gorgeous faucets to the most amazing water pressure in the shower - it all feels like quality! You can tell they really care about a guest's experience.

The breakfast was exceptional for a self-serve buffet-style, with healthy and gluten-free options, and variations from day to day. Everything was clean and new, and the rooms have plenty of storage and hooks for clothes and cold weather gear, with comfortable beds and pillows, and a nice small kitchen set up.

The staff that managed our training space were impeccable. The kept the refreshments fresh and the space clean. They were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The rooms were wonderful, especially for business travelers with ample space and room to work. If I were there on vacation, I would have been delighted with all the onsite amenities. The bonus is the location. Within walking distance of fabulous restaurants.

- ChristopherLevy (10/5): Great staff, great room. loved it. - I stayed at the Limelight in Ketchum for 8 nights in March 2025. - The staff was great. - I splurged and got a room with a large patio and a mountain view. Luckily for me much of my time it was in the 40s or 50s in the daytime and the patio got full sun until like 5:45 pm. -The free breakfast was very nice, and the hot/warm choices varied slightly from day to day. - The breakfast was like hot eggs 2 ways ( in a warming pan), bacon or sausages, and potatoes. Also all sorts of cereals, grains, fruit and such. Breakfast was open until 10 am which was nice. And they still had food at 9:45 am vs. some places that I have been to. i- They will pick you up at the airport and also drive you back for your departing flight. - I had to go to another hotel to pick up something, they drove me there and waited for 5 minutes while I went in and got it. -Room had a coffee machine, a micro and a cute little fridge. - in summation I would highly recommend this establishment.

- F2573PMjoannet (10/5): A Great Place to Hold a Reunion! - The Limelight Ketchum was a wonderful place to hold our 50th Freestyle Ski Reunion. The conference room had 3 big screens to show our videos on and the room was very comfortable for about 60 of us. The lounge was the perfect spot for everyone to meet after skiing, and the evening music entertainment added to the enjoyment for the reunion attendees and the general public. The ski & boot storage room was conveniently located near the hotel elevators and the shuttle bus to River Run ran to and from the hotel on a regular basis so no one had to worry about walking long distances in their ski boots. The Limelight staff was also extremely helpful regarding pulling together last minute details for the reunion. The Limelight Ketchum is the perfect hotel to hold an event - or just to enjoy a great ski vacation!

If I may suggest one improvement for the future, I understand that during normal operations the customers do not need a dedicated shuttle to Warm Springs, but in very special occasions (i.e. Ski World Cup Finals) they should consider one. :)

- mb1sf (6/5): Spacious and convenient, with some drawbacks - We stayed in a suite at the Limelight for a ski trip and had a pretty good experience, though there were a few things that missed the mark. On the plus side, the suite was spacious, with plenty of options for sitting and relaxing after a long day on the mountain. The hotel is right in town, within walking distance of several restaurants, and there’s a market across the street if you need snacks or groceries. The hotel is located only about five minutes to River Run, and the hotel’s shuttle to the ski resort was excellent—the drivers were always on time, super friendly, and made getting to the mountain hassle-free. Breakfast was another highlight—convenient with plenty of good options to fuel up for the day. A coin-operated laundry room on our floor was extremely convenient. The staff was friendly. That said, there were a few issues. The biggest downside was the noise—there’s basically no soundproofing, so we could hear everything from the hallway and neighboring rooms, which made it tough to sleep. The sofa bed in our suite was uncomfortable—felt like sleeping on a box of coils. Thankfully our young son did not mind and he was the one who slept there. Housekeeping is a bit hit-or-miss – they make your bed and empty your trash cans daily but do not clean the room. They also forgot to refill our bath soap, and when we called for more bath soap, it never showed up. There was a mix-up with the airport shuttle—not the drivers’ fault, but the hotel staff somehow didn’t have us on the pickup list. Thankfully a driver showed up pretty quickly. All in all, there were some definite positives—great location, spacious rooms, friendly staff, and a solid ski shuttle—but the noise issues and service slip-ups took away from the experience. We’ll probably look at other options next time.
- 599kerrys (10/5): A fabulous hotel in a wonderful Idaho mountain town! - Have jusy stayed at the Limelight hotel for the first time and we had such a good time we not only extended our stay but booked a second trip back only 2 weeks later. This is the finest hotel in Ketchum, Idaho with beautiful spacious rooms and great views on the back side of Bald Mountain (Sun Valley ski area). The staff is incredibly accommodating and will not only take you to and from the airport 20 minutes away, but also just about anywhere in town you would like to go. No need for Lyft or Uber. They have a lovely aprés ski scene with a very nice wines by the glass selection and tasty food choices including a variety of handmade pizzas. Finally, if you haven't had enough exercise on the world-class mountain just a few minutes away, they have a great exercise room and 2 outdoor hot tubs (which are actually hot!) plus a heated pool. I shouldn't forget to also mention the onsite ski and boot storage and the great ski rental shop just outside the lobby door (Sturtevants). We normally enjoy skiing at Vail but will now include Sun Valley and the good folks at Limelight Hotel in our future ski plans!

The tile floors in the bathroom get extremely cold so that could use some help. The only thing that we could complain about were the pillows. They were abysmal.
