Et la possibilité de le manger dehors était bien. Piscine agréable à portée de main. Réponses rapides à toutes les question posées. Personnel agréable. Manger dehors le midi. Une petite table bistro avec 2 chaises dans la chambre serait utile le midi car il faissait très chaud pour manger dehors avec du 36-37 celcius, même en allant sous les ventilateurs dans les 2 sections réservés pour y faire des activités et pour manger. On a parfois mangé en dedans le midi sur nos genoux...

Nice sized heated swimming pool with different depth sections so safe for children plus flotation devices to relax on. 5 minute walk to the beach and plenty of restaurants and shops. Only 1 thing-the send out laundry service was by weight & 1 large trash bag with a weeks worth of dirty clothes cost $30 !!! DEFINITELY over priced!

Zwar etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber funktionell. Herzlich, familiengeführtes Unternehmen, alle Fragen wurden beantwortet und es gab ein „schwarzes Brett“ mit Tipps für die nähere Umgebung. Rustikal, gemütlich und "tico-style" (lokal) statt luxuriös. Sehr angenehm: Trinkwasser und Kaffee stand den ganzen Tag kostenlos zur Verfügung.

They gave us information on the best places to eat and made us feel at home. While the hotel is not a luxury resort, I was pleasantly surprised how big the hotel room was. It had a separate kitchen and couch and the outside patio was very large with furniture and a hammock. Will definitely stay again if we make it back to Costa Rica.

When I checked in, I was told I still owe the amount of the deposit and wanted to see my credit card statement to prove I paid it. I was too tired to argue but was very upset that I double paid the deposit. Although a bar is advertised, it is closed down. Good: friendly staff hotel is being renovated, getting a facelift it could use. Pool was very inviting. I would stay there again, but I would book through their personal website.

Would def stay here again.

• Adam (6/5): - Toro Blanco has a retro vibe that fits the feel of the neighborhood. It is located one block off the beach and is close to casual beachfront dining and entertainment. Kelly at the front desk was very friendly and informative. We had a well equipped kitchen in our unit and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. I enjoyed the hammock on the patio. The AC worked well. We stayed 2nights and wish we had recognized the hotel’s proximity to ‘the strip’ before we booked. Not a problem if you are there to party into the wee hours but the loud music from the local bars kept us up both nights. The property is in need of a facelift and we were uncomfortable with the fragile doors and locks to our room … the patio door did not lock at all. It helped a bit that there was a security guard at night.

• James (10/5): Great location, very nice people - My wife and I are used to all inclusive type resorts, and recently have not been very happy with the experience. If you want a true taste of Costa Rica this is where to stay for an exceptionally great deal and walking distance to downtown shops and restaurants. The rooms are modest, but exceptionally clean. This is the last time we're gonna stand in an all inclusive buffet line of mediocre food and employees that hate you. This is our first time to Costa Rica and won't be the last.

• Gerald (10/5): Very Friendly and Cozy Stay - While Playa del Coco is not our favourite beach, the Toro Blanco is a very pleasant and friendly little resort-style hotel with a great outdoor setting and pool.
• Charmaine (6/5): - There was garbage on the street at the entrance. Garbage at the base of the sign. Garbage seems to be a real issue here. The first impression was terrible as there is a kitchen in front of the pool that resembles a hostel but the room was nice and functional. The breakfast was ok but this is not a resort. The pool is also dirty and the layout is very tight. I think it is overpriced for the area. It’s also very loud, music until 2 am. Not a great vibe!

• Claudia (4/5): Loved the location but disappointed in the accommodations. - The breakfast was good and the location was ideal. The staff was friendly and everything was kept clean. The room was disappointing. The bathroom was not very user friendly (lacked shelving and hooks), the toilet seat did. not fit and the lighting was horrible. The seal on the door of the refrigerator was coming off so the fridge didn't work well. The beds were uncomfortable and we were given one flat pillow and a thin bedspread per bed. Although the room was clean, it was rundown and there was visible rust on areas of the fridge and shower. It did not feel like a boutique hotel, but a little worn out motel. Maybe other rooms are better but ours was disappointing and uncomfortable.
• Kathleen (8/5): Not fancy but very social and comfortable. - The location was excellent. 2 minutes to the beach, 2 minutes to the Main Street. We loved the cute patios each room had. Breakfast was great and there was a beautiful breakfast patio for if you wanted to be social. Nice to see so many fellow Canadians there. The beds were not great.

Furniture weird and uncomfortable Small TV, bad reception and very few options

Facilities are a bit old and needs an upgrade, faucet was broken and spilling water sideways. Other than that, we had a awesome stay at this place
• Vickie (10/5): Perfect Christmas break - Lovely hotel, a block from the beach with a pool and breakfast provided. Room has cooking facilities which is a bonus with kids. Very friendly staff. Can borrow beach towels, snorkels, body boards, beach mats etc. highly recommend

• Lorraine (8/5): This is the place you want! - Location is excellent. Proximity to the beach & downtown were within 2 block radios. The ladies at the front desk & staff were genuinely kind & considerate. They were like family by the time we left. The patio has a hammock for those down times. Rooms are equipped with kitchenette. Their continental breakfast was a plus, with fresh fruit, pastries, rice & beans, eggs, & coffee (24/7). We stayed 4 nights & definitely would stay again. Lorraine & Peter
• Tiffany (8/5): Friendly, pretty place, great location. - Friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast very punctual which mattered for us catching our dive boat. It was very useful being able to use the tumble dryer. We were there during exceptionally heavy rain and it tended to flood over into our patio area. (Not into the room, though.) The entrance from the road also didn’t always drain and you had to get your feet quite wet getting in and out. Mind you, the roads of the whole town were like rivers at times.

• Caitlin (9/5): Comfortable and convenient! - Hotel was lovely and clean, beds were comfortable, pool was clean with towels available to also use for the beach. Sitting area outside the room was nice and spacious with a comfortable lounge. Breakfast was pretty basic, but we were prepared for that. Staff were really friendly, giving lots of tips and advice including letting us know about the waterfall further up the beach which was really nice. It was raining a lot so we weren't able to do much but chill out, which was what we needed anyway, this was a comfortable place to chill. Maybe have some yoghurt and cereal available on the breakfast table rather than the pastries which were pretty dry and seemed a little old. The Shower head in the bathroom was also pretty basic and could do with replacing.
• FRAN (10/5): - Loved everything. Location great, cleanliness amazing, beautiful pool, 24-hour coffee which was great. Good breakfast, laundry facilities if needed. Definitely will stay again and highly recommend it.
• Matthew (10/5): - My family of five had a great stay at the beautiful Toro Blanco! After our long day of traveling their pool was just what we needed. All of the rooms have nice patios that surround the pool and the lights at night make it look really cool. All of the staff was very helpful, we will be staying here again when in the area.

The hotel could use some upgrades overall bathroom/in the back of the hotel breakfast definitely needs to upgrade because not everybody eats vegan food the perfect store across the street service for Surj. The attitude of the hotel was very good and they went out of the way to make my state as good as possible

• michele (10/5): - This is a small hotel located in the most convenient location to both exploring, the beach is just a mere block away and dining is super close. Great people to work with.
• Marianne (9/5): Superb - The location was pefect - short walk to the beach and beach side restaurants, and also a short walk to the main shopping/restaurant street, but with no associated noise from either. The staff were very helpful, the pool was lovely (and hardly used during our stay, except by us). We liked the low-key and 'quirky' nature of Toro Blanco, and were very happy with their focus on reducing waste, e.g. we liked that towels and linen were not changed daily, so unnecessary and wasteful.
• Omar (9/5): Perfect location, for divers recommend, everyone else should try - Exactly what we needed for a week diving Location is super central, parking safe, staff super friendly Swimming pool warm and clean, a cat as local mascot Yes, the hotel has seen better times. However, it is exactly what we needed. And they had some flexibility on the last day. Breakfast at 7 was a bit late if you have activities planned. Otherwise, tip top.

• Eva (4/5): - Very disappointing 3 night stay! I read many review stating this was a wonderful hotel. For the price of the room, the hotel was ruin down and tired looking. The beds were extremely hard and old. The room came with a small fridge and sufficient dish wear. The A/C worked. The breakfast was mediocre. The pool was very murky and the swim up bar unusable. Nice central location but not worth the price. We stayed in many other hotels in Costa Rica for the same price and they were way better.

• Darlene (6/5): Location is good and pool is refreshing. - The pool was refreshing. The room was spacious and it is always nice to have a kitchenette. The bathroom was large . It was nice to have a balcony but the furniture was big and heavy and took up most of the space. The location is great . It is walking distance to the beach , shops, restaurants and many activities. The statues in bathing suits made me laugh. We met two other couples who were visiting and they were very friendly. We were charged more than our booking but I didn't notice until we had left . We were tired and hot from the drive to Coco and I didn't think to check the price. We were not satisfied with the breakfast and went looking for something else the next day.
