- 289douglasm (10/5): THE MAN EVENT - 16’golfers turned up last weekend. The deal was amazing two night stay with two breakfast and 18 holes and a cart. The price was amazing but we also did a deal and took our band with us and performed Friday and Saturday night. After turning up an hour and a half late we won the locals over and gave them some good rock n reggae classics. The place may look a bit tired but perfect for what we wanted. THE MAN EVENT WILL BE BZCK THERE NEXT YEAR FOR SURE. So if you want to do a golf event there it’s perfect

The service from the minute we arrived at reception to our departure was wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble for staff who were always polite, helpful & friendly. The room was clean, tidy & very comfortable. Meals at the restaurant were delicious & terrific value for money. Tanya went above & beyond with her service-very professional & so kind to my grandson when he had a mishap with the hot chocolate! 5 stars from Trish & Elijah.
- davidf911 (10/5): A great comeback to be a winner once again. - Absolutely a fantastic experience with friends playing golf was an amazing challenge and lived up to the hype with novelty holes great fairways and fast and true greens. The staff friendly and helpful with a beautiful resort breakfast on top. The rooms were top class with a top view and all the facilities from the games room to the bar and dart board were in good shape. This place deserves to thrive and the staff are doing great to deliver a quality resort golfing experience. I was impressed!
- A5656XDwendyp (2/5): Horrible management of a rundown place - This was the worst resort experience I've ever had. The room and buildings were rundown and in need of maintenance. Beware the range of 'integrated' activities they advertise on the website are all outdoor or unavailable, so if it rains you will get stuck inside with nothing to do. Worst of all, the manager, Jeremy, demonstrated extremely poor customer service and communication when handling our refund request. Instead of listening to our concerns, he refused to accept feedback and accused me of lying about the close-down services to try getting our money back. I can tolerate subpar facilities and close-down activities. But I will NOT tolerate being wrongly accused of lying and blamed for dissatisfaction due to my 'misperceptions about the resort', as if it wasn't a result of misinformation from their side. The unprofessionalism and condescendence of the manager when communicating with me were appalling and simply unacceptable in the hospitality industry. The only positive thing was that the receptionist ladies were friendly and helpful to us, but I fear they will have to face consequences from their terrible manager. We felt ignored and disrespected by management as paying customers. I would strongly advise others to avoid staying here. There are many better places where guests are treated with respect.

We come for the amazing buffets but must say that the customer service is always exceptional. The beauty of the surrounds, the birdlife, the kangaroos, it is all just so stunning.
- C8487WVangelac (10/5): Relaxing - Having no where nice to stay in Beaudesert, booked the Kooralbyn resort for a 2 night stay and absolutely loved it. The restaurant staff and reception staff were awesome. Although the were nail polish marks on the curtains, this is literally the only thing I can say negative. Grandkids had a blast in the pool area, breakfast was delish.

Torn curtains, holes in flyscreens, mould in bathroom and sterile rooms. The setting is beautiful however the maintaining of facilities is beyond par. Reception staff was friendly and helpful. They will need to spend a lot more money before it can come up to the standard of a "Ramada" resort

Tried 3 times to make a booking for 2 couples, twice was promised they would return my call upon checking for availability, they never responded. Called a third time to be told sorry they didn't have a room and apologised they they forgot to return my follow up call. Am happy to spend our $2000 for the weekend somewhere else. Glad they are so successful to pass their potential customers off.
- Q1443QHkimd (4/5): Filthy rundown establishment - The Resort is dirty and rundown. Room was filthy, full of mould, ripped carpet, bugs, spiderwebs, dirty walls and power points. Smelt funky. Torn curtains. Even found a tacky fingernail in our room. The waterfeatures were slimey, mostly pumps not working, empty alochol cans floating in the water. Verandahs were rotton, falling apart. In the buffet.... dead bugs and spider webs all over sills, the place was plain dirty. Heard people saying even the golf course is unkept and uncared for now. There are rooms full of furniture stacked high, everything is dated.

- Five-star-critiques (2/5): Worst hotel room ever-anywhere. Who on earth gave it 5 stars? - This place advertises on its flyers that it has been chosen to provide accomodation for the Olympic Games. That's the first we had heard, so we decided to check it out. We were directed to our room and as I walked in the door I stopped in disbelief. The first thing you notice is the stains on the carpet, followed by the smell from the toilet. (It took me a couple of days to work out that the liquid on the bathroom floor was not an over zealous cleaner, but a leak from the soil pipe from the toilet). There were two rooms and a bathroom. One was a room with a sofa and TV that did not work and nothing else. (Photo). The bathroom had the worst tiling I have ever seen and a tiny notice with tiny text stuck on the tiles right above the bath to warn you to stand in the middle of what used to be a spa bath. Because of its location I did not notice it until I was actually in the shower. (Photo). The toilet itself had disgusting brown stains inside. (Photo). The veranda was in a shocking state with a filthy floor and broken sheets of what looks like asbestos. (Photo). There was white powder everywhere and the carpet adjacent to the veranda door had clearly not been vacuumed for some time. (Photo). There was only one bedside table and one lamp. There were no cups or spoons, so I had to go to reception and ask for them before we could make a coffee. We had the buffet breakfast Saturday morning but the bacon had run out. I asked if there was anymore coming and was told no, as the buffet was ending in 20 minutes. We had breakfast in the cafe down the road for the rest of our stay. We went to the, "golfer's bar", Friday evening but it was full of intoxicated males and my partner felt most uncomfortable. We went to the pub down the road for drinks for the rest of our stay, (Pavilion Tavern), and found the staff and the locals very friendly. We reported back accordingly.
- Jodie (4/5): - Arrived at 8pm on a Friday night, by 8.20 the only food available was a packet of potato chips from the pub, or a 20min trip to Beaudesert. Fortunately the staff were kind & cooked us a bowl of hot chips, despite the kitchen being closed. Much appreciated, as we’d driven 6 hrs to get there. There was no heating in our bedroom & 3deg temp, & our door was unable to be locked with or without the key. Black hairs on the bathroom wall, dust & cobwebs everywhere, nowhere to sit with a meal, though there was ample room for a small table & chairs, terrible smell from the bathroom drain, doors partly hanging off, over bath shower is unsafe, due to the height to get into it

- S (6/5): - This was my second stay at the hotel. This time, it was difficult to book a buggy tour at our preferred time. The restaurant had a limited variety of food — only lamb meat was available. The jacuzzi in the pool area wasn’t working properly. The room’s air conditioning was very noisy, and the bathroom drainage was poor. There was no microwave or plates available in the room. We also experienced long waiting times at reception, and the free Wi-Fi did not work inside the room.

- Ralph (2/5): - What a disappointment, a dilapidated, spartan, and a poorly maintained complex. It's as though the maintenance staff are on strike, the water features at ground level have been abandoned and become feotid cess pools and the buildings crumbling. Rooms had no chairs, no coffee table and only one cluttered miniscule bedside table, the fridge near new but hasn't ever been defrosted, the rest of the furnishings very tired and cockroach infested. For a supposed resort, the poor standard of the facilities and attractions, few of which were free I will hasten to add, really did beggar belief. Given it is now Qld school holidays and there were next to no patrons, it felt like a ghost town and we were relieved to depart.

No bar open at 5pm on a friday as a breastfeeding mum I want food as well which turned into an absolute mission!! the cleanliness of the room was disgusting. toilet basically uncleaned, the rooms smelt musty as heck and mould evident in places. We will not be returning here again.

- 763teddyc (8/5): Fantastic surprise - Dear Manager, Congratulations for providing my group of 20 golfers with a memorable 3 day/3 night stay/experience last weekend. As golfers who have frequently played the course over the past 40 years, we all agreed prior to checking-in that the sensational layout already has it's high merit. What surprised everyone was the good conditioning considering the wet weather over the past 2 months and obvious budget constraints. Well done green staff & Pro-shop staff. Meals, drinks, and especially service at both the Pavilion & Lilies was rated very good unanimously by the group. Well done to all hospitality staff. Rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable and ideally located to all facilities. The staff efforts to repair then reinstate 1 of the swimming pools within 24 hours was quite commendable. Congrats on the the multi-tasking of all your staff (Matt in particular). Front desk was friendly & efficient from check-in on Thursday night through to check-out Sunday afternoon. - Prue (2/5): - Over the Christmas holidays I stayed here with friends from interstate. We were very disappointed from arrival to early departure. The resort has so much potential however is not being advertised accurately. Very misleading. The level of cleanliness in our room was unacceptable, cockroaches, mouldy shower curtain, water that smelled, well, like it was potentially contaminated, the pools were unhygienic to swim in, limited food options and little recognition for our concerns from staff and management were unavailable. I resisted writing a harsh review for weeks but on reflection it had a big impact on our time and finances and overall joy during the holidays. Read the reviews before you book.
- Chris (10/5): Mixed reviews - I read the varying reviews on this hotel and I was a little wary but tbf we had no issues with the place. Yes it’s dated but it sort of goes with the wackiness of it all. Good sleep, decent room with a view, great breakfast and all within a reasonable price. The view from upper rooms are just worthy of * themselves. Don’t be put off by bad reviews the hotel is fine and cheap.

The rooms were filthy, with visible mould in the bathroom and a damp, musty smell throughout. The furniture was old, worn out, and seemed like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. The photos online are incredibly misleading. The resort looks nothing like the pictures—everything is outdated and poorly maintained. The carpets were stained, the curtains were grimy, and I even spotted insects in the room. For the price I paid, I expected at least basic hygiene and decent accommodation. This place failed on every level. I strongly advise others to avoid this resort at all costs. You’ll save yourself the frustration and the need for a deep-cleaning shower when you get home.

- michaelsT6813HT (2/5): Stay Clear Of the Pavilion Tavern - Dear Manager, I would like to bring to your attention the utter disappointment we had after our stay on the weekend. As a golfer who has frequented your golf course over the last few years i decided to bring the family out to stay over the weekend as we were part of a golfing group. We were booked in for dinner both nights at your Pavilion facility and i have nothing good whatsoever to say about the place, the staff, the Manager there and the cleanliness of the premises. The first word that comes to mind is DISGUSTING. 1. The state of the bathrooms was abhorrent. The stale smell of urine from the mens toilet was bordering on gag worthy. 2. When we were first seated we had to ask staff multiple times to please wipe our table down as it was a sticky filthy mess. It was not fit for eating off at all. 3. The Manager - When trying to convey our concerns of the cleanliness of the table we were seated at she just said, "Well move to another one" in a voice you use when scalding a cat. Upon complaining about the state of the toilets to staff we were told "So what, what do you want us to do about" I confronted the manager again and she just fobbed us off and said "we are busy and too bad". 4. Twice they stuffed our orders up even after explaining to the order taker we would like all our meals brought out at the same time, but it appears that was too much trouble for the staff who were more entertained about making sniggering comments just out of earshot then laughing. 5.Three times i spoke with the female manager and not once did she show any concern, nor was interested in hearing our complaints. 6. The food was cold when it eventually was served and the chicken schnitzels were almost rubber like from being over cooked. When we arrived back at the resort and were speaking with several others from our golfing group, they all shared the same opinion at how poorly run the Pavilion Tavern was and how unprofessional the female manager / staff were in hearing any form of complaint and how flippant the Manager was in her replies or zero attempts in making sure tables were at least hygienically clean to sit at and eat off. If this is truly the best in leadership of your premises then its no wonder there are so many negative reviews online about the Pavilion and resort. One shining light was the Lilies buffet on Saturday night (which when booking we were told it was not open ) The food was fresh and a great variety to cater for almost everyone and anyone. Its safe to say we will NOT be coming back and will be strongly recommending to all our friends and families to keep a wide berth of your disgusting Pavilion Tavern and the staff and Manager who run it. If it wasn't for the lovely lady on reception we would of all bailed out on Saturday night. Staff are lovely and very accommodating both at the resort and the local pub which is only a 5-minute walk from the resort. Plenty of choices with the buffet breakfast. A place that is close to home, but you really feel as though you are on holiday when staying here.

- 997kristinh (2/5): Derelict and Filthy Dirty - This place should be closed down. Everything was dirty, we woke up to a dead cockroach lying between us in the bed! The restaurant only opens if there are enough people staying there, would have been nice to know!!! The Pavilion Tavern which is also connected to the ‘Resort’ was filthy too and the kitchen was closed when we got there. Tables outside were filthy and broken. Putt Putt is in total disrepair as is the bowling green and the children’s playground. The receptionist told me the the owner is waiting for a government grant as it may be used as a satellite village for the Olympic Games ( I’m so glad our taxpayers money is assisting him 😡) I felt very sorry for the staff as again the receptionist stated she has to keep moving people to different rooms as people complain about them. Pictures attached show how derelict the place is, do yourself a favour and stay anywhere else!!!!

The shower curtains however had a little dirt on them and the shower water was irritable on the eyes after some time. The balcony table wasn’t properly cleaned, but staff were really nice and check in and check out was quick and smooth. Overall good place to stay if you are looking for a weekend getaway to play golf or visit the countryside.

We had a great laugh watching (Tom) stop as he was distracted by some Kangaroos. Some locals are very friendly, we even gained some friends from other groups. Will definitely be back.

Listening live to Murray in the afternoon was also a great experience. The entire family had so much fun. I had a hard time taking our things to our room since I had kids with me, luckily, their staff was kind enough to help us. The next day we had so much fun with their activities, horse riding and feeding the animals in the morning and stargazing and campfire in the evening were truly brilliant.

The food at the Pavilion Tavern is also fantastic. I can't wait to return for my next holiday!
- Alana (4/5): Extremely run down!! - Disappointed with the standard of the whole property and offerings. The website is extremely misleading compared to what you are actually offered. There is nothing stated online about needing to pre-book the day spa or horseriding. There is nothing to say the petting farm won't be on. The things that we were told were available weren't as described or necessarily available either - there were no tennis racquets to use the tennis courts, there was no netball court, and the games room was not free, most of the games are coin operated. The pond to kayak in was dirty, stagnant water, not something you would want to fall into. The putt putt and other offerings at the pavilion are so run down. The pavilion itself is so run down. The room was run down and falling apart - taps coming off the wall, broken toilet seat, and just dirty. The water pressure was great for boiling hot water, but not to be able to have a nice shower. Very disappointing stay that's for sure.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Very disappointing resort … unfortunately - Sorry, would like to promote but just can’t. Not cheap (we had sub-penthouse and normal rooms) and very run down. Tapware broken, toilet seat broken and door did not shut, many lights not working and holes in passageway ceiling to name but a few. Facilities (games room, tennis courts, netball, putt-putt etc.) all very dilapidated. Cleaners didn’t make 2nd bed in room, didn’t rinse out coffee cups. Very dark grounds and main restaurant not open, only food available at local tavern.

I have been trying to talk to the Manager now for 5 days and the arrogant piece of work will not take my call or respond to the emails sent to him form the poor reception staff. Good luck if you stay here hope it work out as you will not get any support from the Kooralbyn Resort if you have an issue.

- Michael (4/5): Low quality motel standard but with a premium cost - Potential for a great resort but very dated, and unfortunately the cleanliness left quite a bit to be desired. The room, balcony and lots of public areas are run down and had lots of dirt, grime or rubbish around. The staff who are working there are great and are fabulous with children, however not enough staff to run the resort efficiently. It was also very noisy at night with parties in the middle / central area of all the rooms that went from 7pm until1030 / 1100pm on 3 nights from a large group (approx 20 people), including speakers, loud music and swearing. This was next to the reception and was raised but ignored. Meant we had tired 4year olds for the whole weekend. As mentioned though, staff are amazing with children and the hotel organised lots of Easter activities.

- Rebecca (6/5): - Booked for my partners birthday and as he liked golf thought this would be a great place. The area of the resort is beautiful but the actual resort itself really needs a lot of maintenance. The rooms are ok. Golf course from my partners feedback, was great course again a little maintenance on the paths and the bunkers need a bit of work as most were hard sand. The buffet breakfast at the resort is overpriced so I would recommend going to the billabong cafe their breakfast and coffee were beautiful.. restaurant at resort not open for dinner during the week so the local tavern is the only place to have a nice dinner. Thought the staff could be a touch friendly with suggestions of things to do around the area rather than just giving us a bit of information on a piece of paper. Understand when it’s busy this is the easy thing to do but to encourage people to come back and them being locals they might give out more suggestions. The lady at the restaurant and the young girl at the golf shop was lovely.
- sarah (6/5): - This property was probably gorgeous in its heyday but is very rundown. The worst part was that no one was there when we arrived and the lobby was locked up. This was 830pm and we had not received any communication about a “no later than”… check in time. We had to call three numbers to finally reach someone who could come let us in. At no point was there ever an apology or acknowledgment as to the inconvenience. Furthermore we had splurged on the “penthouse” which is not a penthouse at all really. Not much larger than a regular room. We played 9 holes of golf but were charged for 18. Having said this, the staff we did meet were incredible, especially the lovely fellow at the halfway hut who stuck out there even in a monsoon. The golf course is beautiful and filled with kangaroos. Also sadly very run down. Pies at the turn were 👌.

There was no internet in the rooms although this was advertised as available. Went to play on the driving range but couldn’t as the machine was broken. There was a plastic shower cap covering the smoke alarm which is a bit scary. All staff were very friendly. It was like staying in a cheap motel.

Showing its age but that did not impact on our stay. Service was great. Lillies restaurant not open for dinner but local pavilion open and a short walk or free shuttle away. Pool area good with a nice spa pool. Golf was great.

- Leigh-anne (6/5): Some sprucing needed. - The maid service came and gave new towels and removed Garbage but did not clean coffee cups, replace teabags etc, or make the beds. The photo below shows a bug found in the bed clothes. Reception was not manned on arrival and payment was taken before arrival when I indicated I would pay at arrival according to options on the booking form. The resort was looking tired, some repairs looked dodgy the garden seemed a bit overgrown and the lagoon didn't look full or running very well.

Alan and Georgia in the pro shop nice and friendly and professional. Actual resort is older 90's style which i didnt mind and for the price (penthouse for under $500 for 3 nights) i thought was fair value. Not much to do there if your not a golfer but would recommend one or two nights for non golfers. Kangaroos everywhere etc and a couple of snall pools, Pavillion Tavern 2-300 metre walk, once again older but food okay.
