- lp lib (4/5): - The foliage, the warm pool, the private patio and separate bedroom. Was like a secret hideaway. Close to highway, not great kitchen supplies.
- Tina (10/5): Diamond in the rough - Family owned, quaint place tucked back in from the road
Island feel with all the tropical plants
Having a tiki bar on property lets you drink without worrying about driving

- Teresa (10/5): -
- Sheri Perez (10/5): - The place is fun, and really well done. Very tropical and tiki. Quit and comfy. Nothing really. Suggest a few more bathroom towels hooks and a place for your shower stuff .
- Eva (9/5): Wir würden definitiv wieder hier Urlaub machen - Absolut toll!
- ROWLAND (7/5): -
- Martin (10/5): -
- Michelle (10/5): Overall my stay was fantastic . Great location comfortable and beautiful - Staff was so nice and accommodating to me and my dog Bella! They made sure we had a great stay! I was there for 40 days so they made it feel like home! Beautiful tropical feel and 2 pools! Room was nice bathroom could be a little bigger but doable and price is starting to get expensive
- Michael Hewel (9/5): Great place and value! - the tiki bar, the pool and overall vibe and great location allowing people to smoke at tiki bar is gross and those people need to be sent off property
- sylviatF3957RR (10/5): An oasis with a laid back vibe - This is our go to resort in Sarasota coming from Connecticut. We usually stay in room 25 which is a villa. Living room, full kitchen, dining table, separate bedroom with another TV and a private patio. I love this place because it has a quiet vibe. I can entertain friends outside the patio with a fire pit and table for happy hour. They have entertainment on Fridays but because we came in late we did not have this experience. The pool is heated with plenty of lounge chairs.Thid was our 8th visit and cannot wait to go back. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
- michaelhR4744RT (10/5): Great Spot and Location! - We just got back from a 5-night stay at Siesta Key Palms Resort and it exceeded every expectation! This little 28-room boutique property feels like a hidden tropical gem – lush landscaping everywhere, winding paths, colorful hammocks swaying between palms, and that classic relaxed Old Florida vibe with modern touches.
The location is super convenient: it’s right off Stickney Point Road on the mainland side, just a quick 5-10 minute walk or bike ride over the bridge to Siesta Key Beach (which is still ranked #1 in the US for good reason – powdery white sand!). We loved having free bike rentals to cruise around the island or hit nearby spots for breakfast.
Our room (a one-bedroom villa-style) was spacious, spotlessly clean, and came with a private enclosed courtyard patio – perfect for morning coffee or evening drinks. The kitchenette was handy (Keuring coffee maker was a nice touch), and everything felt fresh and well-maintained. Housekeeping was daily and unobtrusive.
The resort amenities really make it special: two pools (one heated family pool and one adult-only), tiki areas with hanging daybeds, gas fire pits that light up in the evenings, BBQ grills for cooking dinner, outdoor games like cornhole, and plenty of shaded lounge spots. We spent lazy afternoons by the pool or in a hammock listening to beachy tunes playing softly around the property – total chill mode.
Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful – shoutout to Christine at check-in who made sure everything was perfect and even helped us extend our stay without hassle. The $45 resort fee covers parking, WiFi, bikes, and all those extras, so it felt like great value.
If you’re looking for a peaceful, low-key spot near Siesta Key Beach without the big-hotel crowds, this is it. We can’t wait to come back – highly recommend for couples or small families wanting that island escape feel!
Would you recommend this hotel to a friend? Definitely!
Tips for other travelers: Book early as it fills up fast, especially in peak season. Bring bug spray for evenings if you’re sensitive.
- Andrea (9/5): Blissful. Wish we could have stayed longer! - Loved the outdoor spaces so much: fun seating areas, sand, fire pits, multiple pools. Traffic and noise in suite were downsides.
- Greg (10/5): -
- Kate (10/5): Excellent! - Everything!! The vibe, lovely helpful staff, well maintained property, super cute pool and seating areas, luscious planting, very clean rooms, good location, great free bikes. Would definitely come back and recommend you to all our friends. Nothing!
- brendamF2943KH (10/5): Excellent Location - Outstanding hidden gem!! The grounds are amazing!
- Patricia (6/5): The resort look was nice, but because of the location, I won’t be staying there again. - The resort theme was nice. I liked the layout of the exterior with palm trees, landscaping tiki bar and pools. The motel rooms have been updated and I especially liked the tall fencing around each room giving you a feeling of privacy. The street noise, construction noise nearby. The 5 night stay we were without hot water from the kitchen faucet and reported it to management twice. Smoking is allowed outside of your room, so plan on smelling tobacco and weed. If you don’t have a vehicle you will need to take a short Uber ride to Crescent beach.
- Barbara (9/5): -
- teresatS4920HT (10/5): Relaxing and Chill - Staff was very friendly and helpful. Walk is .8 of a mile to the beach, restaurants and a free trolley. Very relaxing and chill vibe with hammocks, a fire pit and tiki bar. Room was clean
- Michael (9/5): I really enjoyed staying there and was sad to leave. - It’s a little quirky, in a good way. It has the vibe of a mid-century tourist motel, but they’ve done a really good job of keeping it from feeling old and dated - everything was clean and freshly painted, and the staff was really friendly. My room - no. 9 - was in a quiet location. And the private patio was a really nice place for breakfast It’s on a noisy street, so even though it’s nicely tucked away there is still road noise.
- Mo (9/5): - The resort setting is very nice and inviting. The unit has a private patio. Old stove only one element works.
- John (8/5): - Great location, very clean
- stevenA1688OE (10/5): Loved it - Great experience, Loved the environment. Nice rooms, good location, close to the beach. Very relaxing and comfortable.
- MARTIN (10/5): -
- Helen (9/5): -
- Kunal (9/5): -
- Laura (10/5): -
- 996joec (6/5): So So. - Older hotel. Limited electrical outlets. Poorly performing AC, for which the remote control did not work. Not a romantic place for a couple. No where near a beach.
Quirky, but that is okay and was expected. Would be good for families as there are lots of places for kids to play, while adults visit with each other. Onsite bar opened late both days we were there. Live music entertainment on Friday night was very pleasant.
- H1692DSchrisg (10/5): Best place ever! - Everything about this place is PERFECT! Amazing experience and so relaxing!! We will definitely come back! There is not a single thing we disliked.
- Lepore (10/5): Incredible Floridian Vibe - What an incredible little spot within walking distance to Siesta Key. The room, facilities, pool areas, bar and the general feel of the resort exceeded our expectations. We felt like we were on a little island.
- robertomM3968AG (10/5): The bar by the pool was awesome, bartender was friendly. - The place is beautiful, and so close to siesta beach, the staff was very helpful and friendly, the room had a rear enclosed area with table, chairs and a hammock, the pool was clean and the water worm , I would definitely recommend you to stay here , on top of it all it had the cheapest price I could find for this area.
- Renata (1/5): COCKROACH AND ANIMAL HAIR EVERYWHERE - The common area isn’t bad, but the bedroom was dirty (a lot of animal hair everywhere and COCKROACHES!) The cockroach in the bedroom that we had to chase and kill and the animal hair everywhere!
The sheets and towels were also dirty and stained.
Bed was uncomfortable and pillows smelled terrible.
- todd (10/5): -
- Greg (10/5): Perfect fall getaway. - The grounds and landscaping really put you in the right frame of mind.
I have stayed at more expensive places that could not do that for me.
When you work alot in a stressful profession you really appreciate people who know how to get you there.
So for me Siesta Key Pslms is a 10 of 10. I enjoyed it quite a bit.
Lazy days by the pool with tropical music in the background. Evening by the firepit and cocktail with tropical music in the background. The staff was great. The room was great. The visit was great.
I can't wait to do it again.
- Steve (9/5): -
- BELINDA (1/5): I left within hours. - N/A When I arrived, it was dark and I kept on driving through the parking lot area unable to actually see the "resort". I finally called to find out why I could not locate the resort. This "resort" is really a sliver of land in the middle of an area that I found to be very rundown.
The "front desk" reception is essentially a room with a single door and window (like a booth). Our "suite" (which we were advised by the greeter was the "nicest" room) was attached to this front desk/reception room. The "suite" was in close proximity to the road. To me, it was very much like a motel. The rooms, I could see, were just doors lined up in an alley-like setting. At night, it was very dark where our suite & some other rooms were located; it felt isolated.
There were insects crawling on the bathroom counter, bathroom walls, and in the kitchen area. There was a funky smell in our room (and I have a poor sense of smell). Someone was also smoking marijuana close to our room. I could smell it as I brought my young daughter back to the room down a dark alley-like path. I ended up packing my bags and bringing my daughter to another hotel in Sarasota that night. I did not feel safe.
Based on reviews, I was expecting something very different. I fully appreciate there can be a range of what might constitute a "resort"; however, this fell well outside of what I was expecting. I have never left any hotel or even a restaurant in my life. This was a first. I ended up 'eating' the entire cost of the several day stay, including the resort fees (for amenities I didn't use). They were unwilling to return any amount of the fees paid upfront. They offered to change rooms, but that would not have resolved the issue. I considered that I might not be reimbursed, and still left.
I do not enjoy writing a negative review. It makes me feel badly. However, going away is an investment (time & money).
- Hannah (10/5): -
- inthecircle (10/5): Our first time here, but not our last. - We loved our time here. It was the oasis we needed and convenient to everything. The room was immaculate. The hospitality was exceptional and we wanted to spend more time enjoying the amenities on the property than going out to explore.
We will definately be back.
The new tiki bar area was perfect to grab a cold drink and enjoy some conversation in the shade.
- Demetrius (10/5): The stay was amazing - Very private and relaxing Everything perfect
- David (8/5): Hidden gem - A hidden oasis. Abundant amenities. Limited cooking facilities added flexibility. Proximity to the beach. On a busy street away from other businesses
- W7075RBsusanw (10/5): Little Paradise - We have stayed at the hotel on two different occasions. Both times have been spectacular, The Ressort is so quiet , peaceful, beautiful, and the staff is excellent. The rooms are spacious and so clean. I can’t say enough. We will be back next year.
- Gunasinghe (9/5): Nice, cozy, heart warming, lovely for a couple - Vibe cleanliness, beautiful landscape, coziness ,nice patio and pools Bathroom sink water flow was low. Hard to wash your face or hands. I believe they will take care of that.
- Grazyna (10/5): Two days of relaxing -
- Marian (7/5): It was a nice place, good activities to do. Near every park, beach, restaurant, or shop you need or want to go. Just the - Near practically every touristic location you wanna go. The room had a moldy smell. Not very clean bed. I recommend you to go with your own sheets and blankets
- Kyle (10/5): -
- Larry (7/5): Not Crazy About the RESORT Fee - Overall, the facility was fine. The variety of venue zone choices available was great with two pools, a cocktail bar, private patio, lush tropical environment, and close ample parking were well done. The unit had a full refrigerator and sink were good. The TV did not work the first night. The AC did not keep the room comfortable. Even on a private patio, we could smell cigarettes from adjacent patios. An extra RESORT fee was tacked on for each night, which was not disclosed at booking on line.
- Kelvin (10/5): Excellent and enjoyable stay. Met my needs and location was perfect - Less smoke near the bar
- Maria (10/5): A perfect little get away - The facilities were beautiful and comfortable and the price was great
- JodiAcki (9/5): Love the Old Florida vibe! Close to the beach and Old Town. - We really enjoyed the Old Florida Tropical vibe on the property and in the suite. Upon arriving a staff member showed us the grounds with two pools, firepits and a tiki bar...we enjoyed them all! We surly will be back, and for a longer stay!
- Kathleen (10/5): -
- Thais Helena (9/5): -
- Roam16606904765 (10/5): Good Vibes - Staff was great, atmosphere was great it was very chill and it was a nice getaway from regular life. Rooms were clean and I was able to extend my stay with no issue. Wasn’t noisy at all and they had some good jams playing softly on the speakers to where it was pleasant to the ears and not overbearing.
- Leana (10/5): Perfect place to stay near siesta key beach - The whole place is a vibe. Relaxing hammocks everywhere, private, affordable, and bar on site. Loved all
- Volodymyr (10/5): -
- Arthur (10/5): - The staff was awsome Christine and Jack were very enjoyable to deal with could not ask for better staff members. There was nothing me and my wife did not like because everything was great and the location was perfect
- Christopher (9/5): Only stayed one night but loved the property and it’s proximity to the beach. It’s a hidden gem for sure - Beautiful layout. Parking was a bit tight with a pickup truck
- Mélody (7/5): Apéritif garnit pétard garantie - Extérieur sympa Gchambre désuète cafardeuse à braire ma caille
- U9372SWgregr (10/5): Far more than expected. - We stayed at Siesta key Palms resort October 20 to 25.
The place is just beautiful. It is a relaxing oasis with a tiki bar, great lanscaping, 2 pools, a grilling area, hammocks, and a gas powered fire pit on a timer switch and much more.
It is a 5 minute bike ride to the beach. On a bike, they will provide.
This is a hidden gem in Siesta key. Unless of course you like hauling Luggage up a 10 story building on the beach.
For me this place is perfect. A small apartment with a full kitchen steps away from 2 pools with an awesome tiki bar.
- Maura (10/5): -
- Lyubov (10/5): -
Genial !
- Marek (9/5): Great place, I plan to revisit to stay longer than 1 night - room, pool, private patio n/a
- Edward (10/5): A place to come back enjoy and relax and each amazing sunsets - Beutiful place with a lot of taste, every thing was perfect the room very marine beach stile the colors the plantas and trees and palms, the staff is so friendly and nice, make your stay a great experience, all the details are amazing
- Edward (10/5): -
- Adria (2/5): BUMMER.... Not friendly staff. Not accommodating. If you want a resort, this is NOT it. - It looked tropical with the greenery. Kind of like an old vintage resort. That is all I have to say that was positive. I'm not sure what qualifies the title of a "resort" these days. Being given a map when you arrive showing you where the TWO beaches are NEXT to the place and then being told "we clearly advertise we aren't on the beach". Also being told by the staff on day two after walking miles with two children to find a beach that there are TWO free shuttle services (Johnny's "something" and the frog hop). When calling both I was told this "resort" was not on the island they would charge us $10 plus tip to pick us up to drive us one mile. ALSO there was a tiki bar at which no one was ever working when I stopped by. Stayed 3 nights and NEVER got bed service (fresh linens). Actually I only had a sheet and a FILTHY fleece blanket that looked like someone dropped their women's makeup foundation all over. The room was so humid. There were no vending machines to even get a water or soda... Again frustrating because everything was a walk or Uber drive to get to. The two staff members left much to be desired. The first one I begged to get a refund upon arrival and she simply refused. (I was also told upon booking, I would not be billed until arrival, but was billed 2 days prior). I actually cried and asked my children to step outside of the office. She couldn't even fake sympathy and explained they were a small business. I explained I was a single mother and this was NOT what I signed up for. The second lady was nicer upon meeting her later that day as we were headed to our room, but I was exhausted. She told us about the "free shuttles" (which she clearly was uninformed about). Everytime we saw her after that she was outside smoking. It was not classy. It was like a weird 80s movie. NOTE: I did NOT book this "resort" based on price. I booked it on reviews. I want to leave this as I think it is important for others to know what they are potentially getting themselves into.
- Steve (10/5): -
- Karri Jean (8/5): - Great service great amenities
- Claude (10/5): - Very nice!
- Nicole (10/5): - My stay at the Siesta Palms Hotel was incredible from start to finish! The hotel itself is so cute, cozy, and full of charm — everything about it felt welcoming and relaxing. The location was perfect and gave off those true Siesta Key vacation vibes.
What really made the experience stand out was the amazing staff. Every single person I encountered was kind, helpful, and went above and beyond to make sure my stay was perfect. You can tell they truly care about their guests.
The energy and vibes around the whole property were just perfect — peaceful, positive, and full of that carefree island feel that makes you never want to leave.
I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending Siesta Palms to all my friends and family. It’s the perfect mix of comfort, cleanliness, good vibes, and genuine hospitality

- A1200PYjohnr (10/5): Sand and Sandals - From the moment i got out of the car, there is a feeling of relaxation.
Check is easy, the Staff is professional and upbeat.
The layout is a bit confusing at first but the exploration was fun. The suites are the bomb.
Private and welcoming.
My favorite staycation spot. check it out
- Keighlee (10/5): Wonderful!! - This is the second time I’ve stayed here and it is my absolute favorite in Sarasota. Just beautiful and only a couple minutes from siesta key beach. It’s a quiet, beautiful resort nestled behind all these beautiful Florida trees and tiki huts everywhere. The vibes and layout of this place is great.
- Gary (10/5): - This resort has beautiful lush tropical landscaping. Even though you are close to the action it feels like your on a secluded island. Very clean rooms and friendly staff.
- Bari (9/5): Other then that we had a very very good time - Returning guest I use a mobility scooter due to poor legs. No rooms are handicap accessible. Had to lift the scooter to bring it in and out or rooms. And the chairs at the pool are not very comfortable.
- Richie (10/5): This was our 5th time staying there and love it. Shout out to Debra at the tiki bar, she was awesome. Thank you to Brian - The property is amazing. Located on one of the main roads heading to Siesta Key beach, you wouldn’t even know it was there. Once you arrive and get settled you would think you’re in the Caribbean! Wish they would offer a continental breakfast. All rooms are furnished with kitchens and utensils, but i’d rather not cook while on vacation. The new bar is beautiful, but try and offer some bar food.

- Mark (10/5): - This was our first time to this resort… BUT it won’t be our last! Everything was meticulous. The amenities, the service, the entertainment I give this a 10 star. Can’t wait to come back.
