Guest Reviews
- Anita (10/5): It was a comfortable stay. Excellent and spacious room. Comfortable clean bed for a good night sleep after a long day of - Cleanliness and caring staff.
- Adela (10/5): -
- james (5/5): Great breakfast. Facility not much better than Motel 6. - Location Roll in shower drain didn’t work well and got a lot of water on the floor
- Eric (9/5): It was great. - Quiet and great breakfast. The elevators were a pain. Every time I stay there there's a problem with one of the elevators. This time one of the elevators only went to the 4th floor and that was the elevator that opened up. You had to send it up and then call the other. I stay at this Holiday Inn Express 4 times a year. I hope to find two working elevators in the future.

- Mary (6/5): - Clean Pool wasn’t working

- Kayanne (10/5): staff always great, stay here every time I drive in the area - great, food and drink options nice water machine empty
- Guadalupe (10/5): Excellent - tractor trailer parking amazing! - LOVE LOVE LOVE. This hotel saved me by its distance to the rundown motel across the street which was horrible (only went across the street because I needed tractor-trailer parking but the entire check-in & rooms were terrible) so I came here & the rooms were exceptionally clean by Holiday Inn standards & surprisingly they had truck parking by the restaurant. Friendly staff, free breakfast so good! N/A
- Angie (8/5): Ok but definitely not up to par for the brand - Close to eating places and gas stations The elevator badly needs serviced! It is loud and on 2 occasions did not move once we were on it. When we told front desk she said I don’t know what to do about it matter a factly. Housekeeping was loudly knocking on our door 3 times with 3 knocks each time at 9:00. Wait until check out or shortly before at least!
- Kevin (5/5): Good, but not ideal. - Awesome staff! Great breakfast! NOISY ROOM! We barely slept due to the wind coming through the HVAC exterior wall unit creating howling, whistling, and moaning sounds ALL night! It was AWFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Jennifer (7/5): - When I turned on the air it was absolutely disgusting. It smelled like dog poop.
- Susan (9/5): - The staff were very nice and helpful and the room was quite all night.
- esmetravels (10/5): Great value, great stay - Great location and super friendly staff. The room was huge and very clean! Bathroom spacious and the shower head with multiple spray options was amazing after a long day of travel. Free bottled water for travelers which was very much appreciated. Room rates very reasonable for a holiday weekend travel time.
- Ronald (7/5): Good - Breakfast A little high priced good
- Steven (10/5): -
- Heather (10/5): Our new favorite place to stay - Great location, very clean and super friendly staff Nothing

- trishl3 (10/5): Great stopover - fantastic stop, very clean rooms, great front desk personal, very comfy beds + very quiet!
Would totally return if ever in the area.
- Daub (10/5): A great place to stay. - everything was perfect! I'm concerned about the elevators. Only one was working and I was hearing some strange noises.
- Mark (10/5): - Great little place to stay. No issues with room or check in. Morning breakfast was good and close to other options.
- Scott (10/5): - On our way back home to Texas! This will definitely be one of our stops again! Maybe next time we can try out the breakfast and pool!
- Cheryl (10/5): - Very nice place to stay.
- Miguel A (10/5): - Great place Thank You
- Stephanie (10/5): Beautiful View when walking in the room, to a restful night - The staff was amazing to checking in to leaving. Breakfast was late (0715) but didnt matter much I believe someone had called in and I get that, because I have employees that do that too There was nothing that I was not happy with
- Stacy (8/5): -
- leon (8/5): - Location was good family gathering That the pool was out of order and only 1 elevator was working.
Thought the price was a little steep for 2 nights
- lacie (6/5): - Pool not working and coffee maker broke
- 224fap (2/5): Terrible customer service. Rude!!!! - The front desk lady does not need to work customer service!!! I showed her mold in the shower on my phone . she said you can always go somewhere else. Then I told her no we had just driven 10 hours and she said well I just worked 15 hours. She then proceeded to stay outside on her phone talking really loud making fun of people who complain. She was trashy and should never work customer service. I would not stay here ever again. I am about to stop staying at any holiday inn because they are getting trashy. It is hit am miss now.
- Kerry (10/5): Vacation 2025 - The pool was out of order and the ice machine on our floor wasn’t working.
Great breakfast with hot options and grab and go!
- John (6/5): - Bed was hard and blinds did not go all the way down so the outside lights was shining in room.
- Rusty (4/5): It was not an enjoyable stay! - I did like the bed and black out blinds! When I arrived at 11:30 pm I was very tired and parked i. The very back of the building. The key card lock was not working on the back door so I had to walk all the way around the building to the front entrance to access the building. I was looking forward to a hot shower to relax after driving for 11 hours. I didn’t like the fact that there was no hot water the night I arrived and either the following morning. So no hot shower and when I called, the front desk said there was nothing they could do about it! Not even give me a discount on the room. I then went to breakfast and the biscuits were way over cooked and the eggs were full of water and not cooked very well. I paid $152.00 for a room I could sleep in but not enjoy the room and relax.
- Michele (10/5): - The staff was very friendly and the property was clean
- Shonna (10/5): Would stay again. Great hotel - Clean and welcoming only minor issue was the air conditioner in our room. When it would shut off, the fan would squeak as it was coming to a stop.
- Amber Moore (3/5): Terrible - Beds comfy Better staffing. I stayed on Saturday night 07/26 and checked out 07/27 I paid on my booking site and when I checked out the receptionist charged my card on top of me already paying. Spoke to Christina on 07/28 when I saw the charge she said she saw the mistake and would reverse the charge now it’s 08/02 and I spoke to Christina again and she said she has to go through booking to get the credit then she can refund me. Booking charged me once $142.89 then the HOTEL charged me $145.66 for the same stay AFTER I paid on booking. Christina said it would take another 3-5 days!
- Lisa (8/5): - Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful! The breakfast was good. The beds were super hard. A storm knocked out the TV service, but we were ok with that.
- Cathy Kennon (8/5): Blackwell Holiday Inn Express - The room was cooled down and very clean. Love that toiletries are provided.
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional -
- M (10/5): Exceptional -
- james (6/5): - Good enough
- Yaroslav (6/5): - Good place but not clean and have not fresh smell
- Mack (10/5): - Close to I 35 great area, very clean, nice pool, staff was wonderful, breakfast was very good, great experience.
- Tammie (8/5): - Had a great experience we did check out early due to our daughter being hospitalized we checked out on Wednesday june11
But it was all good no complaints
- Neli (6/5): - It was okay.
- Joy (10/5): - Everything was well kept & I felt safe there.
- Charles (9/5): Superb -
- Roberta (10/5): - It was very clean and had had serviced nearby. Very comfortable room. Breakfast quite good compared to other “free” hotel breakfasts.
- Judith (8/5): - Didn’t like that computer available to customers didn’t have internet. I wasn’t able to print my boarding passes.
- Eric (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daub (10/5): Very nice location and very comfortable. - Breakfast was excellent. I asked for a southern facing room. The storm that hit came from the northwest. I would like for them to accommodate my preference for room location.
- Julie (10/5): - Rates
- Bethany (10/5): - Such a nice play to stay very affordable. Very comfortable beds. Great breakfast, soooo good.

- Joan (10/5): - Very nice people. Traveling through for work.
- Heather (10/5): Great stay - Check in was fast and easy. Because they weren’t busy, I was asked for preference on floor and location, which was really nice. The property and room seemed incredibly clean, the bed was comfortable, and I love the fact that the y provide a couple of pillow types to accommodate travelers.
- Mark (10/5): - Nice
- Gerald (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lisa (10/5): Great value and nice place to stay - Clean and comfortable bed Needed some maintenance to the bathroom and fact that we had to leave the lights on to have working outlets by the bed

- Omar (8/5): - Na
- Weasel (10/5): Felt very welcome.good staff and a good breakfast - Very kind staff
- Keith (8/5): Very good -
- Inese (8/5): - Best overnight between TX/MN.
Comfortable PILLOWS as well as king bed. Blackout curtains, clean, quiet, easy access to interstate. We were on opposite side (room 215)
Room was cold when we arrived 9PM (62 degrees) but heated up quickly when staff instructed us over phone.
Nice quiet HVAC!
Small freezer actually worked and clean appliances.
Only negative was luggage carts were nowhere to be found when checking in tired and no assistance from staff. When a cart appeared in AM: old and “rickety.” The need to be upgraded and more closely watched (or have a back-up plan.
- Gina (10/5): Excellent stay! - The cleanest hotel we have stayed in in a long time. Friendly service, convenient location and felt safe. We were sad the pool was out of order but not a deal breaker.
- Shelly (8/5): - Liked that it was right off the interstate. Great breakfast!
- Steven (7/5): It was short stay, less than 24 hours. - Easy to find, near main highway.
Clean. Our room was on the 4th floor (room 415) and when we tried to come back down to the lobby, the elevator was not working.
My wife and I are both in our 60’s with 60 year old knees.
Our walk down four floors was not remotely pleasant.
- Gloria (10/5): - First and foremost the staff were absolutely incredible. We talked with three of the staff and I feel bad that we don’t remember all of your names, but you were amazing! And to the young guy who was in training - You’re doing awesome!!! The breakfast had a lot of options and the food was hot and delicious. Our teenager said the biscuits and gravy were the best he’d had at a hotel. The pool was heated and lovely. The room was big and had an incredible view of a game field where we watched hundreds of birds at sunset swarming. It was incredible! We needed to extend our stay an extra day and the staff was SO NICE! Made it super simple. Thank you for your hospitality and if we ever come back through, we will come see you again! @TheDrsDrive
- Tamara (10/5): Exceptional - It was great!! Turkey sausage was the only option for breakfast, so we didn't eat breakfast.
Maps need to be updated. It took us in the wrong direction and then placed it in the middle of the street, in the opposite direction.
- lorie (10/5): Overnite syay - The ease of checknin was awesome and everyone was so nice and polite.
- Carla (9/5): Superb - Location was great........right off the highway, which worked well for my meetings. The breakfast was quick and the coffee was good! The room was clean, shower was hot, and the bed was very comfortable, and the black-out shades worked great! The staff was very nice and helpful. I have no complaints.........there was nothing I had a problem with.
- Steven (2/5): - Bad stay
- Kimberly (6/5): - Very nosy and couldn’t sleep
- Pamela (10/5): - Great overnight
- Debra (8/5): - I was impressed with the front desk check in person! She was very friendly and explained everything to us. The room was very clean. I was disappointed that there was no water to drink at breakfast and that there were no luggage racks available as we were on the 3rd floor. I would stay there again

- Bruce (7/5): Good - Breakfast was fine Could not adjust the air conditioning. Room was at 66 degrees the entire day and night. Slept in a jacket to keep warm
