The mountain was fogged in but if it hadn’t been the large window would have provided a birdseye view. Private bath with fluffy towels. No TV and you are not permitted to wear shoes in the house. Take slippers.

From the really caring, thoughtful, and personable service, to the breathtaking views, to the comfy spaces, to the close access to town, the Denali Overlook Inn is second-to-none. I stayed with my husband and daughter, and we all were wow-ed by the wonderful experience the owner, Tim, his inn-keeper, Maleia, and the delightful young woman who cooked everyone a delicious and full continental breakfast. We loved talking with the other guests in the common space and also having quiet time outside being mesmerized by the views. This is a really special place that’s constantly full. I highly recommend it!! Grab a room if you find one is open!!

We Stayed there so we could go to Denali but in actuality the view was better from the Denali Overlook Inn and the town was a charming with many other shops and activities. Plane rides to glaciers, ATV's to rent, tours and others. When we come back, Talkeetna Tim at the Overlook is one of our "must do places to be".

The backyard was not only an area to look upon the Denali mountains but every night location for a great fire and conversation. As a pioneer myself in the early 90’s b&b owners, attention to visitor needs was most prominent. If they had a rating system higher than 5 stars this property would earn this rate rating.

• Justin (10/5): Definite return - We arrived late and the host was gracious to wait up, grab some bags, and lead us to the room. The room was amazing. Huge windows overlooking forever- you can sit in a chair, coffee in hand, and look for miles. In the morning breakfast is being made and the smells are divine. The meal was fantastic, conversation amazing, and the one quick night was lamented to not not be just one more. One other thing- don’t overlook the town of Talkeetna. Not a one stop out of the way. Get out of your car and walk around- it’s crazy amazing.

We feel extremely lucky they had an opening. Everything was amazing- from the property to the breakfast. Can’t say enough good things about Denali Overlook Inn. We ordered to have breakfast and she made delicious blue berry pancakes. This place is 5 minutes away from Talkeetna, and the view is the best there is from our room. We will definitely be a return customer

• Paul (10/5): One of the best views around! - Had no idea this place had such a great view of Denali! Beautiful house. Very clean and modern. Great host. If I was going through the area again, this is where I'd stay. Only issues were the walls are pretty thin between rooms (sound-proofing), and if you're on the top floor you're going to be climbing a lot of stairs.

Our host Maleia was gracious, informative and served a wonderful breakfast. The Denali View room was huge and the beds comfortable, could have had a super twin instead of a regular - didn’t fit my 5’9” daughter.

The proprietor, Tim, is a wealth of local info, plus many more stories. Guests can use an SUV at no cost, which was very helpful. Great full breakfast included. The views from all of the rooms are great and particularly our view from the Denali View Room. Magnificent! We did flight seeing, which took us above the smoke from nearby forest fire and above the clouds. All of Tim's suggestions were great: Talkeetna Air Taxi and Wildflower restaurant. Dont miss this one!
